Hi The MCU is a STM32H735I will use the UART3 port for combined debug output and command line interfaceSo I would like to use the FIFO, it quite useful when sending debug data.The Fifo is also useful for RX, if e.g. interrupt is blocked by other interrupt with higher priority But I would like to have interrupt on every byte that I receive. That's needed for the command line interface where I echo and edit, finish, recall commands.I have not been able to configure it like this. I do not need to use the Hall libraries, I can just implement a simple ring-buffer myself.Is it possible to both use the Fifo and have interrupt on every bytes received?Best RegardsKristian Vang

I am working on NUCLEO F446RE, I need to use CAN1 and CAN2 on the STM32 NUCLEO-F446RE board. I tested CAN1, which works normally for sending and receiving data, but when I tried CAN2, it didn’t work at all. I looked for solutions in https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/how-to-configure-can-filters-to-use-can1-and-can2-parallelly/td-p/56553?attachment-id=595  and https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/stm32-in-dual-can-configuration-bxcan-filter-bank-explanation/ta-p/698739 , but CAN2 still doesn’t work. here is my code

I am working on the STM32H7B3I-DK and needing to use PA0_C PC2_C and PC3_C as part a button scanner, as all other pins are being used. I have PA_0 configured as an output and PC2_C and PC3_C as Inputs with pull downs. The current full 3x3 configuration is PA4, PC4, PA0_C as outputs and PH10, PC2_C, and PC3_C as inputs (pull down resistors). I have configured PA_0, PC2_C, and PC3_C to be connect to PA0, PC2, and PC3, by closing the analog switch. However, PA0 and PC2 are not working as intended. Measured through an oscilloscope PA0 is not supplying and voltage when set high (Same results in a new project with only PA0_C connected and set high). PC2 is also not reading high when voltage is applied. The weird thing is that PC3 works fine and reads high when voltage is applied.I am trying to figure out if the board somehow is damaged or if i am missing something. I have pasted my pin Initialization below. I have also assigned the pins in cubeMX to have the sam

I have two VL53L7CX Time of Flight sensors connected to a STM32F401CCU6. I was able to modify the X-CUBE-TOF VL53L7CX template to support both sensors, but I can't get low power mode to work for some reason.  specifically, trying to use a sensor after calling:CUSTOM_RANGING_SENSOR_Stop(Instance);does not work. Even if I turn it back on with:status = CUSTOM_RANGING_SENSOR_Start(Instance, RS_MODE_BLOCKING_CONTINUOUS);It also seems to not be doing what it's supposed to either, as the system still draws a lot of current even when it's supposed to be in low power. This was not a problem with the single sensor setupI've included all code that might be relevant here: https://github.com/youcefs21/multi-tofif there is anything else I can clarify/test, let me know!thanks

Hello,I would like to know if I can find and modify the script that runs when the green (Run as..) button is pressed (Flashing code to board), in the STM32CubeIDE.

hello.Using STM32G0B0CET6USB_DRD_FS---Host_Only_FS,USB_HOST---Mass Storage Host Class,FATFS---USB DiskUSB Interrupt---EnableIf you set it to the above mode and operate it, the USB is recognized only once when the power is first turned on, and the USB Mount/Unmount function does not work at all from then on.It seems that the interrupter is activated only at the beginning of power-on and is disabled thereafter.It works fine with stm32f401 with same configuration. What causes it?I ask for help from experts.

We are using MIPI-DSI on a STM32U5G9NJ.First bug: There are 2 pins missing in the Pinout View: D4 and J9. Both are VDD11 pins. Second bug:After Enabling LTDC and DSI in STM32CubeMX I can't select "Active High" for "Data Enable Polarity" in LTDC -> Parameter settings. To reproduce:* Create project with STM32U5G9NJ (or a different STM32U5G9 package)* Enable HSE (System Core -> RCC -> HSE)* Enable LTDC (with a DSI setting; which one doesn't matter)* Now I'm able to choose "Active High" for "Data Enable Polarity"* Enable DSI (mode doesn't matter)* Now I can only select "Active Low" for "Data Enable Polarity" (if "Active High" was selected previously, LTDC displays an error telling me to select something different)We use a display where we need DE polarity "Active high". So we can see that this setting is applied and making a huge difference when changing it manually in the source code.

I'm trying to connect an encoder with STM32F407VGT6. The encoder sends out A,B and Z pulses out. I can read both A-B and Z pulses using TIM2 and TIM3 respectively. Timer 2 is in encoder mode and TIM3 is in input PWM mode. I want to know if I'm correct:A-B encoder signals give me the rotation data and Z signal will give out pulse with variable frequency.If I read the time period saved in CCR1/CCR2 of TIM3, can I estimate the speed of the motor? If yes, how?

 Hi,I have Nucleo-F767zi . When I give it an external power source through Vin. It doesn't always wake up. The board works if I reset it.The graphic of my power supply; It arrives 9V at 400 mili seconds. The curve is almost linear.(No glitch on the wave.) There is no issue if I use USB.I switched up my external power sources. However, the outcomes remain the same.Is there a recommendation? Thanks

Hello,I intended to use VL53L4CDV0DH in my project.Could VL53L4CDV0DH measure reflective wafers material? ThanksChuong

Hi my name is Kevan Sherwood with Rayhawk Technologies, we develop an autonomous solution for opening and closing rails cars during the loading process. We have a toolhead that scans the gantry for a railcar to be opened and it then finds the latches opens them and opens the lid and moves on to the next. There are 2 feet on the bottom that do the opening and closing. We are testing with one of these VCSEL sensors (VL53L4ED) on the breakout boards to track the position of the feet on our tool when it is performing an opening and closing action. The goal is to see based on the foot position where in the process it is going wrong and have a data representation of what a good action looks like compared to a failed action. We have the sensor mounted at the end of the tool bar and it is pointed at a rod that moves with the feet. So it will measure the distance traveled when the feet are pressed. The distance being covered is 350mm total. Our main concern is dust and dust buildup on

A while ago a member of ST staff kindly helped me on this forum with adding EEPROM emulation to my design (at the time based on Nucleo-F401RE) by directing me to here....https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF4/tree/master/Projects/STM32F4-Discovery/Applications/EEPROM/EEPROM_EmulationThat worked immediately and perfectly.Having now completed my application I need to port the design to a smaller processor for production and I have chosen STM32G031. I was hoping that I could simply change the included header from stm32f4xx_hal.h to stm32g0xx_hal.h and it would just work but sadly it didn't. Instead I got a large number of errors in the hal driver files.I wasn't able to find a similar set of files in any repository for the g0xx devices and I don't really have the expeince in the platform yet to be able to modify the files that worked so well with the f4xx devices to get them working on g0xx.Does anyone know of the existance of similar files for the g0xx devices?Many thanks in ad

Hello,I have created custom board with STM32H723 and a external qspi memeory. I can store image data on qspi and showing them on lcd screen. So my external flash its working fine. When i use textarea programs go to Memmanagehandler and stuck. If i try internal flash for textarea program doesnt stuck but nothing show up on the screen.I use CUBEIDE 1.16 and Touchgfx 4.23Can anyone help me.

Hi Community, I have STM32U5G9J-DK1 board and I am able to run several graphics firmware by using 2 data lanes of DSI host.However, in my custom board (yet to develop), we will have only single data lane LCD module.So, I want to try single lane firmware in STM32U5G9J-DK1 board. Firmware is not working (Nothing on display) if I change lane in CubeMX.I have few question here.1. As STM32U5G9J-DK1 board display module has 2 data lane, can I use only single data lane of it? If yes, what should I change in firmware (and/or hardware) to make it possible? 2. If above is not possible due to some limitation, I have to connect single data lane LCD module with STM32U5.Do you have any suggestion of LCD module that I can purchase? What change I need to make in my firmware to make that LCD module work. Thanks,Tarun

HI,   I want to implement the USB middleware on the STM32G0B1RCT6 to use the CDC class for opening a virtual COM port. Can someone provide an example driver?

Hello,I am using the SDMMC1 interface with DMA and FATFS and write data to an SD card. When starting my application with inserted SD card, everything works as expected (reliably and fast). I use FreeRTOS.When ejecting the SD card during runtime, and re-inserting it, writing succeeds for 2-6 times, but stops working eventually, even after multiple re-initialisations and wait times. The only thing which works is to reset the whole MCU.Here is what I do:Before writing, I check the status of the SD card with HAL_SD_GetCardState():/* * Purpose: * Waiting for the SD card to process requests */ fenrirStatus_t SD1_WaitForSDInterface(){ // Check current SD card state HAL_SD_CardStateTypeDef sdState = HAL_SD_GetCardState(&hsd1); if(sdState == HAL_SD_CARD_PROGRAMMING) { // If state is currently in programming, wait for max 1 second uint16_t startWait = osKernelGetTickCount(); while((osKernelGetTickCount() - startWait) < 1000 && sdState == HAL_SD_CARD_PROGRAMMING){

Hi,we are looking for a microcontroller fitting the following features:1MB Flash256kB RAM BLE48 pins (non BGA)Touch Sense Controller (TSC)Active and stockWe pointed to STM32WB55CGUX but we see the following note on the datasheet STM32WB55C (page 48):Does that mean that we do not have any available TSC sensing channel on the QFN48 version? Or just that the number of channels is limited? Checking with the Pinout & Configuration tool of the STM32CubeIDE, we do not see any available TSC port at any pin of the STM32WB55CGU6TR (48 pins QFN version).Instead, we have selected the STM32WBA55CGU6X one, to the detriment of RAM, being 128kB instead of 256kB. If you have any microcontroller suggestion besides this one fitting the main requirements, we would really appreciate it.Thanks in advance.Regards,eesy-ES team.

Dear Community, I am working on an SPI-based setup where I have one SPI master and four SPI slaves, each connected to the master via their respective Slave Select (SS) lines. The configuration for the SPI master and the chip select lines is set up using SPC5 Studio, with each slave having a separate SPI configuration. I am using the following function to start SPI communication with each slave:     void spi_lld_start(SPIDriver *spip, SPIConfig *config); and I'm using this like this spi_lld_start(&SPID2, &config1); spi_lld_start(&SPID2, &config2); spi_lld_start(&SPID2, &config3); spi_lld_start(&SPID2, &config4);     he challenge arises when I need to start all four SPI slaves simultaneously. Currently, I need to pass a different configuration to this function for each slave. However, when I start one slave, the previous one stops working, as the SPI driver is reconfigured for the new slave. In my use case, each slave has a watchdog b

Is it ok to keep unused peripherals in perpetual reset, by leaving their RCC_APBRSTR_*RST (or similar) bit set?Maybe differences in power consumption?This is not for a specific STM32 family.I'm just looking for advice by people with more experience, about possible pitfalls of doing so.

Heyho,I'm using a H733 with both SAI 1 and SAI 4 with SAI 1 as I2S clock master to get 8 synced audio channels.Audio clock comes from I2SCKIN, this is used for SAIs and I2S.Problem: because of the fixed oversampling ratio (256 or 512) of the SAI, I have to use an SPI/I2S peripheral to generate the "MCLK" to make 200 kHz possible, with 200 kHz x 128 = 25.6 MHz.That's basically working, but I wonder why sometimes at start (not while running) the MCLK (from SPI/I2S) shifts by 180° / is inverted, in relation to the SAI/I2S clocks (SCLK (=SCK), LRCK (=WS)).For regular audio stuff this is not a problem, but I have another slave on the I2S bus doing other things which needs a fixed phase relation between MCLK and LRCK / SCLK (previously controlled by an FPGA).So how are theses clocks generated that this phase shift can happen, with the same clock input , and "going through" the same hardware each time?What can I do to sync these clocks?

Hello,i'm working on implementing a system using ST25DV64KC Dynamic Tag with an NFC Reader.Here is a summary of my current situation and issues:1. Current Setup:- I've successfully tested ST25DV Tag using the NFC07A1 board- I'm now transitioning to using the NFC08A1 board that mount the ST25R39 Reader in order to create a complete NFC Tag + Writer System 2. Issues with NFC Tag:- I'm able to read and write EEPROM and MAILBOX via i2c without issues- I've problem with ST25 android App. It indicates that I need specific firmware to write to the Mailbox. I can't use the android app to write on the Mailbox with RF signal without this firmware and using only my FW on the Microcontroller??? 3. Issues with the NFC reader:- How i can send commands to the NFC Tag through the antenna coil?- Specifically, i need to understand how to send a command composed of n Bytes through the Reader. I must send them through SPI from the micro to the ST25R39 Reader and then it translate the Bytes in RF

I saw the following function in the USB library.uint32_t USB_OTG_GetEPStatus(USB_OTG_CORE_HANDLE *pdev ,USB_OTG_EP *ep) { ·········· if (depctl.b.stall == 1) { Status = USB_OTG_EP_TX_STALL; } else if (depctl.b.naksts == 1) { Status = USB_OTG_EP_TX_NAK; } else { Status = USB_OTG_EP_TX_VALID; } ···················· return Status； }I am using the function USB_OTG_EPStartXfer(pdev, ep); to send data."I then found that the PC could not recognize this USB identifier. Through DEBUG debugging, I discovered that when the USB is first connected, `USB_OTG_GetEPStatus(pdev, ep)` returns `USB_OTG_EP_TX_NAK`, which causes the recognition to fail. Therefore, this method is not very effective. Are there any other ways to detect whether the USB data has been sent successfully or whether the USB port is currently idle and ready to send data?"if(USB_OTG_GetEPStatus(pdev,ep) == USB_OTG_EP_TX_VALID)) //sending is valid { if ( ep->num == 0 ) { USB_OTG_EP0StartXfer(pdev , ep); }

Hello Friends, I started learning programming on the STM32MP157D-DK1 evaluation board. I wrote code to blink the user LED LD6, which is connected to PA13, but the LED did not change its state (BSRR register). Can anyone please help me identify what might be wrong with the code?  Code:-  void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);int main(void){ HAL_Init(); if(IS_ENGINEERING_BOOT_MODE()){/* Configure the system clock */SystemClock_Config();} MX_GPIO_Init();while(1){GPIOA->BSRR |= (1<<13);HAL_Delay(2000);GPIOA->BSRR |= (1<<29);HAL_Delay(1000);}}void SystemClock_Config(void){RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0};RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; /** Configure LSE Drive Capability*/HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess();__HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_MEDIUMHIGH); /** Initializes the RCC Oscillators according to the specified parameters* in the RCC_OscInitTypeDef structure.*/RCC_OscInitStruct.Os

  I am using the STM32F429I board using the stmcubeIDE i tried to load the program via st-link but it got ended with the above program.After that i tried the alternate steps by loading the external loader but i cant find the (.stldr) file in the external loader file list  i have attached the image below in that image the (.stldr) file for the stm32f429i was not found.I need some help to tackle this problem. kindly respond to this if any of you find the solutions.
