Hello,Would it be possible to have the correspondence of the JSON type according to the type of variable we put? PleaseI've been able to identify a few such as :type 1 -> uint8_ttype 3 -> uint32_tBest regards

Good afternoon! Our university bought approximatively 9 or 10 B-L4S5I-IOT01A Discovery kits for lab/projects at Embedded Systems course. I found that for this board I have no examples. I installed 30 GB of software/support package on my laptop. On STM32 board site is written:Comprehensive free software libraries and examples available with the STM32Cube MCU PackageWhy I cannot find examples when I create a project with STM32Cube IDE?I want to develop some labs using FreeRTOS and wireless connection protocols without FreeRTOS , but the examples are missing. To view the temperature from sensor mounted on the board I created an example using libraries from STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.17.2 packageHow can I add Comprehensive examples to STM32Cube IDE.? I am not happy with situation which create difficulties for developing labs for students.

I'm very beginner of programing and STM. I'd like to make it sound the audio line out with sine wave from STM32H735G-DK. I read the document(UM2679) and understood that SAI and I2C4 are connected to the audio. But I don't know how to use these. Especially, I couldn't understand how to set volume and start to play. Attached files are the one I tried and it doesn't work. I put a button on the screen and set the interaction with function name "startAudio" as it sounds when I push the button. Please tell me your advice. I couldn't attach the file Screen1View.cpp. So I put it down in text below.   #include <gui/screen1_screen/Screen1View.hpp> #include "main.h" #include <stdio.h> #include <math.h> #define SAMPLE_RATE 48000 #define BUFFER_SIZE 1024 #define PI 3.141592 uint8_t audioBuffer[BUFFER_SIZE]; void generateAudioData(); Screen1View::Screen1View() { } void Screen1View::setupScreen() {     Screen1ViewBase::setupScreen(); } void Screen1View::t

Hi, good morning!First of all, let me tell you that this is my first post (I'm new here in the community of STM32) but I have some experience in the embedded world (I mean, I've used ESP32, Arduino, RPI, BB(Black, Play and AI-64) and other devices for projects at work). The only problem I have is I don't have any experience with STM32 devices and all related stuff so bear in mind with me please. The thing is, after reading the Wiki section (Getting started) I see the first thing I have to do to connect the hardware (STM32MP157) to my computer is to buy some wires I don't have right now. The Wires are:Connect your laptop to the board ST-LINK/V2-1 port through the micro USB Type-B to USB Type-A cable.Connect the USB Type-C™ to USB Type-C™ cable to the 5V/3A power supply.Connect your laptop to the board USB Type-C™ OTG port through the USB Type-C™ to USB Type-A cable.I don't have those wires (in this moment). I just have a USB Type-C

I need to perform SFI on an STM32U599 MCU, so following the wiki article "SFI Step-by-step on STM32 boards" I prepared the firmware and programmed the HSM V2 smartcard.I'm sending the commandSTM32_Programmer_CLI -vb 1 -c port=SWD mode=HOTPLUG -sfi xxx.sfi hsm=1 slot=1Command execution seems ok, but the final message:Reconnecting...Reconnected !Error: Database: There's no active configuration for this device. All the 8 configurations are disabled!What's the problem? Most of all, I found that now the TrustZone of the CPU is enabled, while it was not set in the option bytes file used to prepare the SFI.Other option bytes differnet from the settings in my option bytes file are nSWBOOT0 and nBOOT0As a note: if I use the GUI to program the SFI I have to specify an RSSe file, while using the CLI seems like this file is not required. Im sure I'm missing some information... TrustZone has to be set to perform SFI on the STM32U5?

I am trying to use H5 as master and UNO(ATmega328p) as slave and transmit data from UNO and receive a character & print it in the COM using USART3. The baud rate I've set for both is 4 MHz. By connecting them together and I can see that the "Tx " LED in UNO is blinking but I can't figure out why there is no sign of my master receiving any data from the slave.This is my master code: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ********************************************************************

After the device powers on, lwIP works properly. I reboot it once using the code below, and it continues to function correctly. However, if I reboot it a second time with the same code, it stops working. It goes through the PCB initialization, but no data reaches the callbacks. Normally, DHCP is enabled, but after the second reboot, it doesn't acquire an IP via DHCP either. What should I do to ensure the device reboots properly? void Reboot_Device(void){ close_udp(); taskDISABLE_INTERRUPTS(); netif_set_down(&gnetif); netif_remove(&gnetif); HAL_ETH_DeInit(&heth); NVIC_SystemReset(); }

Hi, I have a server in AWS which I want to use to build and release my firmware. I installed v1.16.0 on my system as well as on the server. I cloned the project on both the systems and build is successful on my system. But, on the server, I am getting the following error for some reason: In file included from ../Drivers/STM32L4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32l4xx_hal_i2c.c:323: ../Drivers/STM32L4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32l4xx_hal.h:30:10: fatal error: SEGGER_RTT.h: No such file or directory 30 | #include "SEGGER_RTT.h" | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~ compilation terminated. make[1]: *** [Drivers/STM32L4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/subdir.mk:97: Drivers/STM32L4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32l4xx_hal_i2c.o] Error 1 make: *** [makefile:84: all] Error 2 make: Leaving directory '/home/ubuntu/projects/hotel_lock_test/fw_dev_project_hotel_lock_host/Release' Same project build is successful on my system without making any changes. what could be the issue?

Hi allSTM32CubeIDE v1.16.1firmware package: cube FW_C0 V1.2.0I use the IDE to start a new project with STM32G071 on its discovery board.Just simply configure PD0, 1, 2, and 3 as inputs with pull-ups.  All other aspects are using IDE defaults.code generated either using HAL or LL, and in the main while (1) loop just put a couple of __NOP() ; calls.Nothing are connected externally.Set breakpoint in mainloop __NOP() call, I am expecting PD_IDR should have pin 0 - 3 all at 1  (value 0xF), but funny enough, PD_IDR has value 0x0a.In fact, this is observed after MX_GPIO_Init is called.void MX_GPIO_Init(void){ GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */__HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); /*Configure GPIO pins : PD0 PD1 PD2 PD3 */GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0|GPIO_PIN_1|GPIO_PIN_2|GPIO_PIN_3;GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_INPUT;GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP;HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOD, &GPIO_InitStruct); }Also with LL code generation,

Good afternoon, I'm writing this quick post to know if by any chance someone can help me figure out what is happening with a simple threading project I started on the H7S3L8 board. I'm using ThreadX and NetXDuo, to have a Modbus server on the ETH port.I have an additional thread processing data from other sensors. And when I debug the application, as soon as the second thread starts, I can no longer see the other thread running. Here's an screenshot when I enter the first thread: (all good, I2C1 and NexDuo thread are there)Once I enter the breakpoint on the second thread (I2C1) everything disappears (and I will never enter into the first thread ever again)I left the threads empty on purpose (I removed as much code as I could to pinpoint the issue)But right now, I'm a bit puzzled...could it be a configuration issue? (The project is attached as well)

I am new user of stm32h750, and I try developing it with STM32 vscode extension, it is great!For sci_dma, I need a buffer at RAM_D1(@0x24000000) , how can I define the array?I can only define a pointer at the address and it works: uint8_t *p = (uint8_t *)0x24000000; But how about a char_buffer[n]? Please kindly help me, thank you.

Good morning. I want to use my Nucleo to light up the LED of my stm32h747. For this, I first programmed a GPIO output for my nucleo board. I connected a wire and measured 3.4 volts and 120 mA with a multimeter. then, I decided to toggle the wire to port D0 of my stm32h747. I used the schematics to enable the port and then wrote a simple code to see if it worked:  I also toggled another LED(pin I15) to ensure my code worked.Finally, I connected the wire from my Nucleo to the stm32h747 and two random ground pins from each board. It did not work, and I do not understand what I did wrong in my approach. Maybe I miss something.best regards

When compiling uboot, an error message is displayed when executing the script fiptool-stm32mp: create_st_fip_binary.sh: Command not found.I found the folder after decompression but did not find the file create_st_fip_binary. What is the reason?

I would like to enable write protection via an option byte.However, HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch() hangs, and even if the CPU is reset afterwards, the option byte is not rewritten.This issue occurs with both combinations: my board + J-Link or Nucleo + ST-Link.I have the following function to set the option bytes: void set_write_protection(uint32_t WRPArea, uint32_t start, uint32_t end) { FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef OBInit; HAL_StatusTypeDef status; HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock(); OBInit.WRPArea = WRPArea; HAL_FLASHEx_OBGetConfig(&OBInit); if (OBInit.WRPStartOffset != start || OBInit.WRPEndOffset != end) { OBInit.WRPStartOffset = start; OBInit.WRPEndOffset = end; OBInit.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_WRP; status = HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&OBInit); if (status != HAL_OK) { return; } HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch(); } HAL_FLASH_OB_Lock(); HAL_FLASH_Lock(); } void set_area1_write_protection(uint8_t enable) { if (enable) set_write_protection(OB_WRPAREA_BANK1_AREAA, 0x00,

Hello,in KDE/plasma environment I can't use MEMS-studio because it doesn't show file dialogs.For example: MEMS-studio is connected to the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board, in "Advanced Features" -> "FSM" I click the "Load state machine from file“ button, but nothing happens, the file dialog does not appear.Is there any solution to allow MEMS-studio to work properly in the KDE/plasma environment?When I run MEMS-studio from the command line I get this output from the console: Searching in: "/home/senbuvis/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin" Searching in: "/home/senbuvis/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin" Searching in: "/home/senbuvis/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/bin" Searching in: "/home/senbuvis/STMicroelectronics/bin" Searching in: "/opt/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin" Searching in: "/opt/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin" Searching in: "/opt/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/bin" Searching in: "/opt/STMicroelectronics/bin" Searching in

Hi,I run the NUCLEO-F303RE eval board. I separated the ST-Link part from the target processor part and connected GND/TCK/TMS/NRST/SWO by wires. I populated the 8MHz xtal with Rs and Cs on the target part. This works fine.I copied the circuitry for the target processor according to UM1724 documentation for my own board with populated xtal. I connected it to the ST-Link and flashed it with CubeIDE.I read "Verifying ....." and "Download verified successfully" . So flashing seems to work.Then I constantly get: "Target is not responding, retrying" The xtal is not oscillating. The target processor does nort work either with direct MCO clock from ST-Link.I checked Vdd and GND. I checked BOOT0 pin 10k to GND. VDDA and VBAT is not applied. What does it need more to start?THX CheersDetlef

Hi, I'm using a Nucleo-H723 board and I need to sample 4 ADC's with variable sampling rate, maximum 1Mbps.I configure the TMR2 with the time stamp (10ms, 1ms, 10ms, etc...), and TMR3 with the sampling rate that is the input for the ADC trigger.Values of TMR2 and TMR3 are updated via DMA when TMR2 have an Event (I tested this isolated and is working fine).Values from ADC are transfer to the buffer via DMA.I'm having some problems...The 4 first values of the buffer are always feeded by 0.And the buffer is only being feeded up to 30463 position when I have a full dma transfer call back (HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback). I even let the DMZ in Circular mode, and not disabling the timers, but is all the same data position being populated.I tested isolated the TMR2 - TMR3 DMA, and they are working fine the change on the Period value.Someone has any idea of what's happening?The code is doing nothing else, I'm just trying to implement this transfer Ok before go a head.I used on USB Device example to w

Hi: I have some problem about t Partial Frame Buffer memsory.I declared ManyBlockAllocator<360*182,2, 2> frameBufferAllocator in the program just like in the tutorial,but displayed the error .Are there any detailed tutorials about how to use Partial Frame Buffer memory?  Thank you very much!!B,RJack liError[Li005]: no definition for "touchgfx::FrameBufferAllocatorWaitOnTransfer()"

Hi, I have a problem. I want to store 262144 (256KB) bytes of data in a buffer from the integrated ADC on STM32H723ZG. However it fails when the buffer is too large. I started at an buffer size of 4096 elements (uint8_t) and doubled until 65536 where it failed (only output is 0, 0, 0...). I am using a circular buffer with continuous conversion on the DMA.Can anybody help me to find out what the cause of this problem is, and how to fix it? The total capacity on the RAM_D1 is 320KB, so 256KB should be enough... Thanks for all the help I get!

 Yesterday evening I worked on an application for a Nucleo-WL55JC and STM32CubeIDE could connect to the ST-LINK just fine. I closed my PC and this morning started it again. I am trying to upload code to the CM0Plus core and now I am getting the following error: Target unknown error 32Error in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: Unknown. Please check power and cabling to target.  Things I did to diagnose and solve:I have checked the USB cable which is perfectly fineI changed for another USB cable which did not change the situation.I used a similar Nucleo board which was never used and got the same error.I checked the settings in the debug configuration. All seems fine.I tried to access and erase the chip with STM32CubeProgrammer -> THIS WORKS FINEI made a new project and tried connecting to the chip with STM32CubeIDE. This does not work.I tried to upload code to the CM4 core and this worked. Does anyone know how to solve this? I am on a very tight deadline an

Hello, i try to configure a STM32H7S7L8H6H in CubeMX and it seems that, when Ethernet RMII is configured, SDMMC2 is unusable because there are some pins like PC1 which can't be remapped. Can this be true?This chip is designed for external memories and i want to use microSD and eMMC. What is the STM32H7S7L8H6HU chip? Is it a improved stepping?

Hi, I am having a problem with a unexpected restart.The first time I use the I²C bus by invoking HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit, the MCU restarts after reaching this line:line 7276 of stm32g4xx_hal_i2c.c/* update CR2 register */MODIFY_REG(hi2c->Instance->CR2, \((I2C_CR2_SADD | I2C_CR2_NBYTES | I2C_CR2_RELOAD | I2C_CR2_AUTOEND | \(I2C_CR2_RD_WRN & (uint32_t)(Request >> (31U - I2C_CR2_RD_WRN_Pos))) | \I2C_CR2_START | I2C_CR2_STOP)), tmp); It just goes straight to the reset handler, no hard fault is triggered. I am using I2C1, and that shares the BOOT0 pin with I²C1-SCL, but that should be irrelevant, as we are already running in the user code. I'm really at loss what is going on here. I appreciate any suggestions.

Hello STM Comunity, I am making this post because I have reviewed many reference schematics for the use of the STM32F103C8T6, and in most of them, I see that they use 20pF load capacitors for the LSE circuit.The datasheet literally states that the value of the load capacitors should not exceed 15pF (considering that both are of the same value) and that the load capacitance of the quartz crystal should not exceed 7pF.It also indicates the maximun LSE driving current (1,4uA) and the oscillator transconductance gm (5uA/V)To illustrate this a bit, I have taken as an example a crystal with the following characteristics:Nominal frequency (f_nom): 32,768 KhzDrive level (DL): 0,5uWLoad capacitance (CL) : 7pFMotional resistance (ESR) typ: 65KohmMotional capacitance (C1): 6,4fFShunt capacitance (C0): 1,3pFMotional inductance (L1):3,7kH The application note AN2867 (Guidelines for oscillator design on STM8AF/AL/S, and STM32 MCUs/MPUs) shows all the calculations needed to select the corre

Hello Forum,I have an issue while reading the values from ADC. ADC1 is running in "continues scan convertion mode" using DMA and 5 ranks.Here is ADC_Init function:static void MX_ADC1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */ ADC_MultiModeTypeDef multimode = {0}; ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 1 */ /** Common config */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc1.Init.GainCompensation = 0; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc1.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc1.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; hadc1.Init.NbrOfConversion = 5; hadc1.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START; hadc1.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVE

Hello all,I want to use the STM32WB5MMG module for a project which requires an RTC.The datasheet states the module integrates a 32.774 kHz LSE crystal. That seems a bit strange to me because the standard clock for LSE is normally 32.768 kHz. Checking the reference manual RM0434 there does not seem to be any reference to using a 32.774 kHz clock.I would like the RTC time to be as accurate as possible, is 32.774 kHz ok to use for the RTC? I guess I would need to somehow offset the faster clock to keep correct time.Here are some calculations I did, which I have no idea if they are correct.It seems that a 32.774 kHz clock divided by 2^15 = 1.000183105.That equals 0.001000183 ms offset from the ideal 1 second per clock period.Multiply by the number of seconds in a day, 0.001000183×86400 seconds = 86ms offset per day.If you have any thoughts on the matter, let me know!Thanks!-Eric
