Hi, May I know the available test points on  STEVAL-D25R16B for me to connect S11 of NANOVNA to ? Also, which of the register values (space a and b registers) are essential to set the board to high impedance (VNA mode) before connecting the nanovna to the test points while the board is powered? Thank you! Best Wishes,Cindy

I am using STM32H7B3I-DK running a touchgfx application and acting as SPI Master, and Nucleo-H743ZI as SPI Slave. Both are configured in interrupt mode not using HWNSS. The Master is sending 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7, but the slave is only receiving 0,2,4,6,0,2,4,6.I am sending one byte at a time and receiving one byte then adding it to a buffer. The master is properly sending data, as checked by oscilloscope. I have tried introducing a HAL-Delay(1) between transmissions and the data is then received perfectly fine; however, that is way to slow for proper communication. I have double checked the compatible settings for Master-Slave communication in the .ioc files such as Data Size, First Bit, etc...Here is my following relevant code for the master: for(;;) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOI, GPIO_PIN_0, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // Pull CS low for (int i = 0; i < 8; i++) { data[i] =i; HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, &data[i], 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); // Transmit one byte HAL_UART_T

I repeatedly encounter the issue of not finding suitable 3D models for ICs from ST. There are some library providers that offer not only symbols and footprints but also low-quality 3D models. However, I tend to create the libraries myself, both for work and personal use. This is because the libraries from various providers seem either poorly made or poorly automated. But that’s beside the point—I would greatly appreciate it if all 3D models for ST products were available for download on the product page alongside datasheets and application notes.Although I have managed to extract 3D models from larger 3D assemblies, such as NUCLEO boards, this is incredibly time-consuming. Thank you very much.

Hello Developers,In my product solution based on the STM32L496VGTX, I am currently adding NFC DFU functionality. Using the FTM Demo Feature in the ST25 NFC Tap App, we were successfully able to update and store firmware packets using the mailbox of the ST25DV04KC module.Issue Description:I am encountering an issue when attempting to upgrade with a BIN file of 409,984 bytes (410KB). Specifically, the issue occurs when the file size reaches 405,982 bytes; at this point, the update process fails with a timeout. However, when I use a 399,360 bytes (390KB) BIN file, the update process works successfully every time without any issues.Steps Taken:Tested different file sizes: The 390KB files work perfectly, but the 410KB files consistently cause a timeout during the NFC DFU process, specifically at 405,982 bytes.Tried increasing buffer sizes: I increased the buffer size from 6000 to 15000, but the issue persists.Checked NFC connection and signal strength: No issues were detected with the

Hello, I’m working with an STM32L412KB on an evaluation board, and I’m facing an issue with receiving UART data. Here’s a quick overview:Setup: The device receives 5-byte packets over UART every 30 ms using the HAL UART interrupt mode (HAL_UART_Receive_IT).Issue: After running for a few minutes, the received packet occasionally gets corrupted—typically with the first and last byte becoming swapped or confused.Attempted Fixes: I’ve cleared error flags in the HAL_UART_ErrorCallback, and I’m restarting UART with DMA after an error, but the corruption persists.I have tried DMA and circular buffer, but the results are the sameBelow is a code example showing the logic (I cannot share the actual code due to NDA constraints):. HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&UART, packet, BUFF_SIZE); // Initiate UART receive in interrupt mode void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { flag = 1; // Signal main loop to process packet HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart1, packet, BUFF_SIZE); // Re-init

I am using BLE_LLD_CHAT APPICATION (ble_lld v.18) on 2 STM32WB15 SDK BOARDs and the following ERROR occurred. The test condition is to use serial emulators on both ends and repeat transmission and reception at 1 second intervals. The same condition occurs even after retesting.[M0/SYS] ERROR: M0 can only manage one command !!How can I solve this problem?

Using a Nucleo-F411RE board modified to have 8MHz HSE crystal oscillator and running the OTG peripheral in forced host mode, we are working on implementing our own host stack.  With the current code no IRQs trigger until a device is physically attached to the port.  However, when we plug up a device then the DISCINT bit in GINTSTS is set along with PCSTS and PCDET in FS_HPRT.  Since the host port IRQ is unmasked in FS_GINTMSK the code correctly branches to the global USB ISR, but we are curious as to why the DISCINT (device disconnect) but would also be tripped.  We have verified that this bit is not prematurely firing before we physically plug in the USB device.  The register setup after our USB hardware configuration is as follows:OTG_FS_HOST FS_HCFG 0x00000200 0x50000400 FSLSPCS 0x0 [1:0] FSLSS 0 [2:2] HFIR 0x0000ea60 0x50000404 FRIVL 0xea60 [15:0] FS_HFNUM 0xea603fff 0x50000408 FRNUM 0x3fff [15:0] FTREM 0xea60 [31:16] FS_HPTXSTS 0x00080200

The product page shows that the STM32WBA50KG supports I2S for a serial audio interface. I want to connect a Class-D Amp and cannot find any reference to I2S or SAI in the data sheet or programmers reference manual. Does the processor support I2S?

I tried all 3 available demos: default, FP-AI and Datalogger. At last I flashed the original default demo back. Hello, Currently I am trying to configure SPI with DMA, where i am only using DMA for Transmit and Not for Receive, I have generated the code through STM32cubeIDE, i have c=external clock at 16mhz and my Baud rate is 4Mhz. i am not using any SPI interrupt. DMA interrupts are by default enabled I am using SPI for writing into FRAM.  My code is misbehaving like sometimes it will write and sometimes not. Sometimes it will read sometimes not. I am not able understand the reason. Basically, it's not working properly

Hi,I am programming the nucleo_wba55cg using Zephyr v3.7.0.My application is based on a BLE peripheral example, whereby I have also configured an LED on the nucleo_wba55cg board to toggles at the rate of 1s.Also, I modified the rcc section the nucleo_wba55cg.dts file to adapt to the higher system clock (96 MHz, similar to that of the nucleo_wba52cg) shown below: &pll1 { div-m = <8>; mul-n = <48>; div-q = <2>; div-r = <2>; clocks = <&clk_hse>; status = "okay"; }; &rcc { clocks = <&pll1>; clock-frequency = <DT_FREQ_M(96)>; ahb-prescaler = <1>; ahb5-prescaler = <4>; apb1-prescaler = <1>; apb2-prescaler = <1>; apb7-prescaler = <1>; };   Expectation: while the BLE application is active, LED blinks at a frequency of 16 MHz (6 times slower so it toggles every 6 seconds as opposed to the 1 sec as configured in the application). Later, I modified the application via SCM (https://wik

The Ethernet reset is not clearing (ETH_DMABMR_SR in DMABMR).I am having a similar issue as others but have not seen a solution in the forum.I am working with the stm3210c-eval board. I know it is no longer available; but it has a version of the processor that I wish to use and Ethernet support.I verified that the Ethernet clocks are enabled in AHBENR:RCC_AHBENR_ETHMACEN, RCC_AHBENR_ETHMACTXEN & RCC_AHBENR_ETHMACTXEN.I verified that the port IO clocks are enabled. The pins ETH_MDC, ETH_TXD2, ETH_TX_CLK, ETH_CRS, ETH_RX_CLK, ETH_MDIO, ETH_COL, ETH_TX_EN, ETH_TXD0, ETH_TXD1, ETH_TXD3, ETH_RX_DV, ETH_RXD0, ETH_RXD1, ETH_RXD2 & ETH_RXD3 pin's modes are set to GPIO_MODE_AF_PP.And pin ETH_RX_ER is set to input, no pull.I verified that there is a 25 mHz clock signal at PA1 & PC3.It is configured for MII mode (MAPR AFIO_MAPR_MII_RMII_SEL = 0).Note that the Ethernet link & activity LEDs are working. Is there anything else I can check?

Hi, Looks like the HAL driver for the STM32f7xx ADC is missing a case for using the software start of the ADC2 peripheral in the HAL_ADC_Start_IT function. Starting from line 1128: else { /* if instance of handle correspond to ADC1 and no external trigger present enable software conversion of regular channels */ if((hadc->Instance == ADC1) && ((hadc->Instance->CR2 & ADC_CR2_EXTEN) == RESET)) { /* Enable the selected ADC software conversion for regular group */ hadc->Instance->CR2 |= (uint32_t)ADC_CR2_SWSTART; } /* if dual mode is selected, ADC3 works independently. */ /* check if the mode selected is not triple */ if( HAL_IS_BIT_CLR(ADC->CCR, ADC_CCR_MULTI_4) ) { /* if instance of handle correspond to ADC3 and no external trigger present enable software conversion of regular channels */ if((hadc->Instance == ADC3) && ((hadc->Instance->CR2 & ADC_CR2_EXTEN) == RESET)) { /* Enable the selected ADC software conver

Hi,I have successfully ported the ST25R95 library from STMicroelectronics to my own microcontroller, an nRF52832. I am now trying to read the payload of an NFC-A Passive ISO-DEP device with the UID: 5F471DC2783A8E.In the polling_demo.c file, I see the function demoAPDU. I would like to use this function to read the payload, which contains Bluetooth Out of Band (OOB) data and a key. My goal is to use this for BLE NFC pairing. Can someone assist me with this? Here is the payload:

I am conducting research on robot control, and to handle data obtained from the LSM6DS3H embedded in the robot, I want to understand how acceleration and angular velocity are measured. Specifically, I would like to learn about the internal structure of the accelerometer and gyroscope within the LSM6DS3H. My general understanding is that the structure consists of a mass connected to other parts by springs, and acceleration and angular velocity are measured based on voltage changes due to the compression and extension of these springs. The specific information I am looking for includes the following:Diagrams illustrating the connection between the springs and the massSpring constant and damping coefficientMass of the weightNatural frequency and damping ratio of the spring-mass systemFormulas used to calculate acceleration and angular velocity.Any information on these points would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning.I am wiling to use the STM32G4 Nucleo-32 board (MB1430) board for an analog to CAN use. I would like to know if I could power up my 10 5V sensors. so i would like to know if I can use the +5V of my board and the current capacity of it to power up my sensors.  My other question would be around the power supply of the board, It seems logical to use 7V and 800 mA to power it up so I will have as much power possible to use my 5V for my sensors. Is it the correct way to think? I would also like to know if i Have a 14 Volt battery, if I can directly put 2 boards in serial, the regulator inside of them making always sure that the tension is stable even if there is current variation in the circuit.

Hi,i want to monitor the following statement (the value of p_Payload[]) during debugging process in the Live Expression Window of CubeIDE: if(p_Notification->DataTransfered.p_Payload[0] == 0x02) I added the following statement to the Live Expression Window and tried a few other variations, but without succes. Can somebody help?

# Overview I am looking into secure bootloader options for the STM32U5G9J-DK2 that support application updates. For now, I just wanted to run a demo that showed updating the application over UART.Initially I thought to start with SBSFU since that is what I am familiar with, but seems various posts here and elsewhere guide toward TFM for the Cortex-M33.After trying both options using STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1 and STM32CubeProgrammer 2.17.0 in Windows, neither demo project seemed to work out-of-the-box and I am now unsure what to do next. # What I Tried (SBSFU) I initially downloaded and adjusted the U585 SBSFU example to the STM32U5G9 as described in the README:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU5/tree/main/Projects/B-U585I-IOT02A/Applications/SBSFUThe 5 projects compiled and appeared to load OK, but doesn't run the external loader if holding the User Button at boot; the serial terminal prints a single message "[INF] Flash operation: Op=0x0, Area=0x0, Address=0x0"b

Hi,  I am having a strange ADC problem on my STM32L431 device. I am sampling 6 channels without DMA using polling method with the following code:     while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ ADC_Select_CH0(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); adc_values[0] = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc1); HAL_Delay(100); ADC_Select_CH1(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); adc_values[1] = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc1); HAL_Delay(100); ADC_Select_CH2(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); adc_values[2] = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc1); HAL_Delay(100); ADC_Select_CH3(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); adc_values[3] = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_St

Hello, We are looking to develop an efficient battery-powered device and I wanted to know the active and the standby power consumption figure at 1.8V for the ST4SI2M0020TPIFW eSIM module. There seems to be no mention of it in the datasheet but we need to some figures in for our calculations. Cheers

Hi,I am designing a board based on STM32h755zit6 MCU and it's the first time for me working on this MCU, I am trying to simplify the design as possible to avoid any problem in the development, since we are short in time.I found out that there is a firmware configuration for the power, is there a default configuration so I can make the hardware based on it? right now I made this schematic based on the Nucleo board, but I want to make sure that it's right configuration, Also I have the ST-link 2 is it possible to use it for programming? thanks Basel

Hello  I have my oven custom board in which I used accelerometer (LSM6DSLTR), magnetometer (IIS2MDCTR) and STM32L4 series controller. Initially I tried to get north heading through magnetometer but due to external noise some time I am getting proper north heading but some time getting wrong orientation. I tried soft Iron and hard iron compensation but due to variable soft iron some time I am getting wrong north heading. I was trying to use e-Compass library but still don't get proper orientation. I have following two questions. 1) Can we use e-Compass library for custom board in which LSM6DSLTR accelerometer and IIS2MDCTR magnetometer is used. 2) I am using my custom board in very noisy environment in which standalone magnetometer is not capable to calculate proper north heading. I also used hard iron and soft iron still getting wrong north heading. so is it possible to calculate proper north heading using accelerometer and magnetometer fusion using e-Compass librar

MCSDK version is 6.2.1Our motor is running fine and can drive some load, however I'd like to increase the Phase Voltage with which our motor is driven to further increase its power output. When checking the High Frequency Plot for V_Q (and thus the peak voltages for V_alpha and V_beta), it always hovers at around 2V even under high load. The system's supply voltage is 12V.Which values do I have to modify to change V_Q?

I use the NUCLEO-WL55JC STM32WL Nucleo-64 board, which I supply with an external power supply. Each time I attach my laptop in order to view the console, the WL55JC is reset. I assume the STLINK-V3E issues a reset to the WL55JC.Is there a possibility to avoid that?I tried to take away the jumper that allows T_NRST to be connected to ST-LINK, but then, when I attach my laptop the board, the WL55JC enters an unusual state (it neither continues normal operation nor does a reset). Except for this I did not find any other ideas how to change the behavior. Is there any?
