I am trying to adapt the QSPI Flash (QSPI_MemoryMapped) example found in the STM32WB5MM-DK to run with FreeRTOS. My hardware uses different ports for the QSPI connection but all has been set up through the ST32CubeMX program. What I did then was to copy the code from the example into my project as a FreeRTOS task. However, the code pulls in some header files that don’t make sense to me. For example: stm32wbxx_hal_tim_ex.h results in the error “unknown type name 'HAL_StatusTypeDef”I’m not sure why this is happening, or even why this header file is being pulled int, I so would appreciate any pointers. My guess is that is has to do the the HAL timer versus the FreeRTOS timer, but even then don’t know were to look!Since I am using the flash without a fie system, maybe the QSPI_ReadWrite_DMA or QSPI_ReadWrite_IT would be better. If so, please suggest...Thanks

Hi,At my company, we develop debuggers and are trying to access STM32MP257F-EV1(ES) board via the DAP,Unfortunately, we are unable to access the DAP and it seems like JTAG (DAP) access is prohibited by hardware. The result was the same even after shorting JP3 and turning off ST-LINK.I have the following questions:Are there any other jumpers positions that have to be changed? Please let me know.Does STM32MP257F-EV1(ES) have debug authentication enabled by default? If so, please let me know if there are any technical documents that explain the procedure for debug authentication.I tried to connect to the on-board debugger by running STM32CubeProgrammer and choosing ST-LINK (SWD), but access was denied. The boot mode that I tried were "UART/USB" and "Development", but both showed the following error:Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug AuthenticationPlease let me know if there is a document or URL that explains how S

Hi team,we have custom project based on STM32U558 controller with TrustZone, and I am only involved in small part of the project.but i would like to learn about this trust zone is enabled and how both secure and non secure zone are talking.how i will identify which peripheral and which pins are intialised as secure and non secure part.also will appreciate if provided with reading section for trustzone.(prefer small blogs, not big one just because i am a new to trust zone).

We are designing it for 115VAC with multiple loads on CT which vary till max 1A load.Any changes/recommendation are welcomed.Thank you.!!

While fiddling with H745 board to investigate how dual core works, after modifying option byte to BOOT_CM7 = 0 and BOOT_CM4, STM32CubeProgrammer (nor STLINK-gdbserver) refuses to connect to the board with "Error: No STM32 target found". Hello,We are designing a custom board using the STM32MP157FAC1 device. For programming and debugging, we are planning to provide an STDC14 connector on our board and use the STLINK-V3SET debugger/programmer.We have the following queries:(1.) Is the STLINK-V3SET suitable for programming and debugging the STM32MP157FAC1 device?(2.) We have connected T_VCP_TX (Virtual COM Port transmit signal) to PG11, which can be configured as UART4_TX, and T_VCP_RX (Virtual COM Port receive signal) to PB2, which can be configured as UART4_RX on the STM32MP157. Kindly confirm whether this connection scheme is correct.(3.) The SWD and Virtual COM UART signals are connected directly from the STDC14 connector to the STM32MP157FAC1 device. Is any ESD protection recommended on these signals? If yes, kindly share the relevant reference.Regards,Prashant Sharma

Hello,I created a STM32F446 host project using STM32 CubeMX to receive data from a wireless mouse. This project works, but only with Lenovo mice. When sending the first initial SYNC (0x7F) byte to the STM32N6 boot ROM over UART, the boot ROM replies with two ACK (0x79) bytes, while only one ACK is sent as a response to later SYNCs. Is the boot ROM guaranteed to always reply with two ACKs to the first SYNC?First sync:Later syncs:

Hi all,I want to design STM32N6 based board and in this board I don’t have any 3.3V supply so what should I do the unused USB power pins? Should I left unconnected or connect them to GND? Thanks and regards

Here:But the most recent post in that thread is 1 year old: I guess this is an old thread woken by spam, and the spam has now been deleted ?But the forum should not be highlighting it in the ‘Recent Activity’ list.

Hello, I hope all is well. I’m also looking for the FCC test report for the STM32WLE5CCU6. I noticed someone else had requested it previously, but the inquiry seemed to be redirected and may not have been followed through. In short, I will need someone from your compliance or technical team to contact me directly via email. We are currently working on the FCC frequency‑hopping requirements, and I’d like to understand how this was handled on your side and hopefully obtain some manufacturer guidance. Thank you in advance.

I attempted to convert a CubeMX project to start using the “Generate peripheral initialization as a pair of ‘.c/.h’ files per peripheral” option and CubeMX left three peripheral handle declarations in main.c which conflict with the declarations in their individual files: handle_LPDMA1_Channel0, hlptim1 and hlptim3. Many other peripheral handles were correctly removed from main.c, including other LPDMA channel handles. Can anyone help me figure out what’s going wrong and how to fix it? I suspect that this may be because they are used in our LPBAM setup.

SummaryOn an STM32WB5MMG module (STEVAL-PROTEUS1), with BLE advertising active and theapplication configured for Stop2 low-power operation, the device reaches theexpected Stop2 sleep current (p50 ~ 7 uA) ONLY after a debugger-mediated reset(STM32CubeProgrammer: -c port=SWD mode=UR -rst).After a cold power-on reset (POR) - removing and reapplying the supply, the realdeployment scenario - it draws a constant ~9 mA and never enters Stop2, eventhough it otherwise runs completely normally (RTC cycle runs, BLE advertisingworks, application data updates). This is 100% reproducible and deterministic.Deployment-critical: in the field the customer inserts the battery (= POR) -> 9 mA-> a 10 Ah cell lasts ~47 days instead of the intended multi-year lifetime.Hardware / Software- MCU/Module: STM32WB5MMG (STM32WB55 die) on STEVAL-PROTEUS1.- Wireless stack: BLE_Stack_full V1.24.0.3 + FUS v2.2.0. I am connecting IPMM15B’s J2 to IHM09M2's J7. There are  documents showing how J7 is aligned and where it is situated on the board. But I have no idea how J2 is oriented. The schematic is too brief. It could be opposite aligned if I turned the board around to the inverse side. I don’t know how the pins should be connected. I need to know where pin1 pin2 is situated on the board.

I updated to the newest STM32CubeMx 6.18.0Now i miss X-CUBE-AZRTOS-H5 support.I can see only an empty display after loading my .ioc file.

Pins 43 (PB1) and 44 (PB0) on the STM32WB5MMG Datasheet are listed at NC (no connection). In CubeMx these pins are available to use. I would like to confirm which is correct for the Bluetooth module LGA86 STM32WB5MMG.

I have setup STM32 VScode extension in my PC, which is awesome. But I found I can not use a Jlink or daplink to flash or debug my board, only STlink is supported. How can I debug with other debuggers in VScode?  Any help will be appreciated.

Should it ?I think the old forum did ?

I’m about to start a new embedded project that is probably outside my skill set (as usual) and I’m hoping to get some recommendations on what STM MCU might have a reasonable learning curve to build up the MCU part of this system. It’s another autonomous oceanographic observing platform like I’ve built in the past with a lot of help from people on this forum. That system used a STM32H7 MCU. For this case, I need a few more serial ports and an ethernet connection to a new sensor. And I’ll need a file system and lots of Flash and SRAM. Low power matters, but the MCU is pretty low on the power consumption histogram. The STM32H5 looks like a good choice since it has lots of serial ports and the Nucleo STM32H563 has an Ethernet phy and a USB-C connector that theoretically could support a USB Flash driver.. Here are a few specific questionsQ0 Is there a better MCU choice with an easier learning curve that might meet my requirements?Q1. It looks like the H5 and STMCubeMX/IDE now use FileX which

STM32CubeMX v6.17.0While configuring an STM32CubeMX project for an STM32H753 Ethernet project on a NUCLEO-H753ZI, I observed some strange behavior. After enabling memory management, including the checkboxes- Apply Application Regions Settings to Peripherals and- Apply Application Regions Settings to Linker Files,I would have expected the memory regions to be included in the linker description file STM32H753XX_FLASH.ld.Unfortunately, this was not the case. However, since the STM32H753XX_FLASH.ld file had obviously been regenerated, I did not suspect the file handling itself. After several hours of searching, I discovered that if the .ld file is deleted before regeneration, different content is generated.Steps to reproduce this:Open STM32CubeMXFile / New Project… / Board SelectorSelect NUCLEO-H753ZIIn „Board Project Options“ dialog, click button „Unselect All“Set Project Manager / Project / Toolchain / IDE  to CMakeand Default Compiler/Linker to ST Arm ClangFile / Save ProjectGenerate
