Home page shows new post in thread, but there isn't any

Here:

But the most recent post in that thread is 1 year old:

I guess this is an old thread woken by spam, and the spam has now been deleted ?

But the forum should not be highlighting it in the ‘Recent Activity’ list.

@Andrew Neil

It did not take me to that recent post; it took me to a year-old post.

There is an issue in some posts when clicking the name of the latest poster that suppose to open his post but sometimes it goes anywhere in the thread (random behavior).

That issue has been already escalated five days ago.

No spam. I replied to that thread today and it was accepted (I think) by @unsigned_char_array :

Unfortunately, there is no reply time stamp supported for the moment to show the time of the reply nor who accepted the solution ..

Ah - I see it now!

Maybe it was just the way the forum hides “threaded” replies ?

@mƎALLEm - it seems that @unsigned_char_array had the same experience:

PS:

I, too, had clicked on the time shown for the most recent post:

@Andrew Neil

Just to be sure: you’ve already marked as Best answer that post, did you unmark it?

I did unmark after seeing @unsigned_char_array’s separate thread, which mentions the same issue.

So it seems that there is something weird going on - even if spam is not the cause...

I replied to this topic before, but somehow my reply is still in review by moderators.

No. Not that one. I posted much earlier. Still not visible.

Hello @unsigned_char_array

Your post was incorrectly marked as spam by the system. I’ve removed the flag yesterday, so it should be visible again. Could you please confirm?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello @Andrew Neil,

As mentioned by @mƎALLEm this issue has been escalated, and we’re waiting for a fix. We’ll let you know as soon as it’s resolved.

This happens when you click on the name of the latest poster while the reply is hidden, either because it’s part of a threaded reply or because there are too many replies. In those cases, you’re redirected to a random location. The two attached examples show this behavior.
