Hello, I am using STM32CubeIDE to compile under FreeRTOS a project to download in an ARM STM32F107VCT6 component installed on an Olimex board.I am new to using STM32CubeIDE.At first, I just want to run a very small program on the component to make a LED blinking on the board and just that. I managed, with your help, to generate the basic code including main.c (it was necessary to do it a first time by going through STM32CubeMX)Here, now, and without having added a single line of code of my own, I am trying to compile what has just been generated to see if everything goes well (right click on the project name then "Build Project")It does not compile completely, there are errors. The first one is this:"../Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/CMSIS_RTOS_V2/cmsis_os2.c:33:10: fatal error: freertos_mpool.h: No such file or directory"The file "freertos_mpool.h" is missing.I looked, it is nowhere on my hard drive. What is happening? What should I do?I want to make it clear that I did not do a

I am seeing a similar issue in STM32CubeIDE v1.15.1 when trying to configure the FDCAN for the STM32G432KB - I am not able to set "Nominal Time Seg1" or  "Nominal Time Seg2" to '1'.

Good morning.I used the CUBEMX board selector because I wanted an MCU with many ADC. I chose the U family because it was written that it has 25 ADC and one CAN.Unfortunately, I did not find these ADC while using the wizard. I only saw 3. how could i get more? best regards

I'm planning to build a low-power Ethernet project using the STM32H573VI microcontroller. I need to use an SMPS to lower power consumption because of that reason i choose that MCU. During createation of project, I noticed that STM32CubeMX offers RMII interface configuration, but I've found that RMII_RXD0 and RMII_RXD1 pins are missing in that configuration. Upon checking the datasheet, it appears these pins are not available. Is it normal for CubeMX to display RMII configuration options even if they are not supported, or am I overlooking something?Additionally, when I tried configuring MII-half duplex, I also encountered missing pins. Could anyone confirm if it's possible to use any Ethernet PHY interface with the STM32H573VI-TxQ variant, especially considering these pin limitations?

HiI’m using CubeMX 6.12.0 with a STM32U5G7VJT6Q project.When using a fractional divider setting for PLL3 (in the RCC System Clock configuration), CubeMX generates the below LL library code.The LL_RCC_PLL3FRACN_Enable() is correctly included, but it seems the fractional divider line (e.g. LL_RCC_PLL3_SetFRACN(1024)) is missing from the generated code.When switching to HAL it is included correctly.void PeriphCommonClock_Config(void) { LL_RCC_PLL3_ConfigDomain_HSPI_LTDC(LL_RCC_PLL3SOURCE_HSE, 1, 9, 5); LL_RCC_PLL3_EnableDomain_HSPI_LTDC(); LL_RCC_PLL3_SetVCOInputRange(LL_RCC_PLLINPUTRANGE_8_16); LL_RCC_PLL3_Enable(); /* Wait till PLL3 is ready */ while(LL_RCC_PLL3_IsReady() != 1) { } LL_RCC_PLL3FRACN_Enable(); }

I am using STM32H747BITx MCU and i've try CubeMX6.12.0 ,CubeMX6.10.0.Still the same problem. If I do not enable TouchGFX in CubeMX, I can successfully generate the code. However, if I enable TouchGFX, an error message like the one shown in the picture appears, and it cannot be compiled correctly in CubeIDE.

Hi!STM32CubeMX generated an incorrect linker file, and I can't build the project with cmake.Example project attached to the post.cmake version - 3.28.1STM32CubeMX version 6.12.1

Hello everyone,I'm designing a new system based on the STM32F746BET6.Basically it's just reading and writing GPIOs and receiving/transmitting data through a few interfaces (ethernet and I2C). The system receives a 100 bit/sec data frame every second for time tagging (IRIG-B) and have to measure time width of every pulse received in order to decode the message (width of every pulse varies from 2 ms to 8 ms).My idea is capturing every rising and falling edge with a timer and then calculating time difference in order to obtain the pulse with. Still, I have a few questions about it.1) To do so, my system will get an interrupt everytime an edge is detected on my timer pin. Will this stop the uC from its tasks everytime an edge is detected?2) Do I really need a timer to detect edges or is there some other way to get pulses width?Thank you very much in advanced

It's working now. But I have to comment this line __HAL_RCC_USB_OTG_HS_ULPI_CLK_ENABLE(); line in the CubeIDE generated code for it to work

Hello EveryoneI encounter a problem with clock initialization for STM32H753V for peripheral clocks.I found a similar thread periphcommonclockconfig-when-adc-clocked-by-pll3 dealing with a similar thing, but mine is different:I have a very simple project with STM32H753VITx via CubeIDE 1.16.0 using CubeMX 6.12.1I only uses usart2 to transmit something. USART2 is the only one using PLL2. Because it is the only peripheral using PLL2, there is no PerpheralCommonClockConfig. The Clock is initialized within HAL_UART_MspInit: void HAL_UART_MspInit(UART_HandleTypeDef* uartHandle) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0}; if(uartHandle->Instance==USART2) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USART2_MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART2_MspInit 0 */ /** Initializes the peripherals clock */ PeriphClkInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_USART2; PeriphClkInitStruct.Usart234578ClockSelection = RCC_USART234578CLKSOURCE_PL

Cube is very enthusiastic about reminding you to enable the SMPS on U5 chipsAnd it's also infuriatingly coy about how one actually does this: Here is just the latest example of an understandably confused costumer. I would like to see the warning message amended to give more specific instructions on how to do this,(i.e. "enable low-power/power saving mode and then choose SMPS as the power regulator")and the PWR pane should be modified to be more self-explanatory, either by reworking the options,or the help strings, or both.

Hello, Can I output an adjustable voltage ranging from -10V to 10V using the h753zi development board? I found something like a "PWM to 0-5V/10V DAC Module."Would I need to use such an external module or build an additional circuit externally to achieve this? I would appreciate your advice and look forward to your response. Thank you!

I am trying to use Satel VL53L8 Cx over Arduino due . The library I am using is stm32duino VL53l8cx but I never get any result .Connections were as per the expamples but it did not work.Is there a library I can use for this . I have earlier used VL53l5 but that never created an issue

Sorry, can I use STM32F407VET and STM32F4 Discovery board in CUBE IDE version 1.17.0. If so, tell me where I can find information on how to implement it. I tried on STM32F404VET and when compiling, it says that it does not see the controller.Thank

Hi,I am working on the electronics design and configuring the micro through CubeMX to decide which pins to connect to which pins.We need to read a quadrature encoder (ideally also with the index) and at the moment we have wired the micro/PCB as per attached IOC file. The pins that we would like to use are: uC_IO_EXP_1, uC_IO_EXP_2, uC_IO_EXP_3 and uC_IO_EXP_4 because they are the ones that go to the external PCBs (currently set to "pinned" in the IOC file). But with the current timer configuration the encoder mode does not seem to be available on those pins despite being timer pins. I tried rearranging timers and functionality, but haven't yet found a way to enable the encoder functionality. Could someone kindly help with the configuration (or suggestions about it)? The only constraint is that as long as the other PWM signals (they are named with "PWM" in them) provide a PWM output on those pins, the timer currently assigned to them can be changed to another one. If

I'm trying to access the external flash on a B-U585I-IOT02A.  The driver(s) I found do:if (HAL_SPIEx_SetConfigAutonomousMode(&hspi2, &HAL_SPI_AutonomousMode_Cfg_Struct) != HAL_OK)but the linker says that function is undefined.  Is that in a library file I haven't included (and haven't located to include it)?-Marty

Completed the STM CAN 2 Node tutorial and created the set up successfully. Have Spark Max and NEO motors in robot with RoboRio . However would like to do a breadboard set up less another Rio ( expensive ) . Just to function a 2 Node CAN ( micro & motors ) - Are my STM 32F446 or H745 controllers compatible . Can I dev a set up with either as a master.Has this been done ?  Any resources or guidelines available for hardware and software?

Hi,I'm looking for baseband processor for my IQ receiver. I would need dual 12-bit ADC with 5.12MSPS rate. I hope to get data from two ADC to DMA syncronously.I have been looking for STM32H745 for this task. Based on the datasheet, maximum sample rate is 5.5MSPS. It seems that value is given for package UFBGA176+25. I would prefer to use LQFP144 package. Based on AN5354, I can only get 3.63MSPS (12 bit) sample rate.Is there any way to overcome this issue or do I have to use BGA version?

Hello, i am struggling with creating an working image of my openblt bootloader and my user application. When i just flash the bootloader, and upload the user application via bootloader pipeline everything works fine. But when i try to use srec_cat  or other merge tools the application will not start.because the bootloader does not accecpt the application. I think i need to calculate the crc of the application and merge that into the factory image. But i have so success.Anyone hwo did this before? Thanks so muchmax

Make dual data line SPI running on nucleo-H743zi2, using SPI-2 as  master and SPI-3 slave.

Is there any tolerance spec available for I_PU (the 20uA pull-up current on the outputs) of the IPS4260L?
