Hello,I want to use the security features included in the TFM in my application, I have followed UM2851, now,I have a better understanding for TFM and I succeed to implement it in STM32U585, to go further I want ot implement my own non-secure application and to interact and use secure services via PSA APIs, I have searched all the web for that, but I didn't find a hint.Any explanation or a hint, please ! Thank you.Regards,ZK.

Hi, We are developing a product/device that is mounted on a machine/vehicle that generates vibrations when in the ON state. We need a sensor that can 1.. Detect vibration start and stop while the device is stationary, with good accuracy, to determine when the machine is ON and for how long.2. Differentiate between vibration and actual motion, meaning it should detect when the device is no longer stationary and has started moving in any direction in on condition with vibration.3. Detect motion in the OFF state, where the machine is off (no vibration), but the device itself has started moving and trigger an interrupt to alert the MCU. Note: We can measure and predefine the acceleration threshold that should be considered as vibration. Is there a sensor with an internal mechanism that can directly provide output to differentiate between vibration and motion? Thanks, Jay

Hi,I am evaluating/learning the SBSFU application example on STM32WBA55CG and having issues getting it up and running. Below is the screenshot of the example log:To begin with, I want to be able to do the following.1. Flash the bootloader and flash the application.2. Reset and bootloader validates the image, all verification pass.3. Bootloader now allows the application to launch.I have made a few changes to the project to disable security features for simplification. All changes are contained to the below files (attached) and disabled FLOW_CONTROL(via flags).  And I have removed the static protection check calls from boot_platform_init( ), inserting the code snippet below as unable to attach the file.int32_t boot_platform_init(void) { #ifdef MCUBOOT_EXT_LOADER GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_Init; #endif /* MCUBOOT_EXT_LOADER */ /* STM32WBAxx HAL library initialization: - Systick timer is configured by default as source of time base, but user can eventually implement his proper ti

My controller uses the STM32U575 chip. I followed the recommended design for the SMPS using the same inductor and XR7 capacitors as recommended in the reference design. I built up 4 boards, the first three boards worked properly without issue. After reset, I switch from the LDO to the SMPS using the same code as is used in the various examples. No issues with 3 of the boards. On the 4th board, the wait loop for regulator ready after enabling the SMPS times out. I added code to switch back to the LDO if this happens and display a message that the SMPS has a problem (via the serial port to my computer). The processor and code runs properly from the LDO, but uses more power which is an issue as this is a battery operated device. The power to the chip is a regulated 3.3v. I tried replacing the inductor, problem still exists. Not much to the circuit. I have the two 2.2uF caps placed next to the pins 49 and 98 (using the 100 pin LQFP package). After reset, to save power, I program the CPU clo

If the resistance value of RLimit is set to 14Ω to 22Ω, how do you calculate the heat generation of the resistor? Is 0.1W OK for other resistors? Also, can you provide the BOM for the evaluation board (STEVAL-EFUSE01)?

Some strange behaviour that I can't explain but like to understand :I am using an e-paper display via SPI, and to conserve power during sleep, I power down the display via a FET.After waking up, I enable the power to the display, then initialize the SPI to talk to it.  gpio::enableGpio(gpio::group::enableDisplayPower); MX_SPI2_Init(); gpio::enableGpio(gpio::group::spiDisplay);  However, this triggers a hard fault inside MX_SPI2_Init();If I add a 1ms delay between turning on the power to the display and enabling the SPI, then the hard fault never appears.. gpio::enableGpio(gpio::group::enableDisplayPower); HAL_Delay(1); MX_SPI2_Init(); gpio::enableGpio(gpio::group::spiDisplay); Of course, if I debug/step through MX_SPI2_Init(); the hard fault doesn't appear as this is also adding delays..Any idea what is going wrong or how I could further investigate ?

Hi, I'm trying to implement the tap and double-tap function in the FSM tab. Is it possible to achieve this at an output data rate of 26 Hz?

Hi all,i have an issue with an STM32-H7A3, which is going into hard fault, when calling a function, which is moved to the ITCM-RAM.I have defined a section for ITCM-RAM in the Linker-Script:  _siitcmram = LOADADDR(.itcmram); /* size of ITCM-RAM */ .itcmram : { /* ITCM-RAM Section */ . = ALIGN(4); /* Alignment: 4 Bytes - "Word" - u32 */ _sitcmram = .; /* define a global symbols at itcmram start */ *(.itcmram) *(.itcmram*) . = ALIGN(4); _eitcmram = .; /* define a global symbols at itcmram end */ } >ITCMRAM AT> FLASH /* reseve memory in flash for this section */  I copy the code from the flash to the ITCM-RAM in the startup  // BEGIN MODIFICATION - STM-CubeMX Code above /* Copy from flash to ITCMRAM */ ldr r0, = _sitcmram // start: itcmram start ldr r1, = _eitcmram // end: itcmram end ldr r2, = _siitcmram // size movs r3, #0 b LoopCopyCCMInit CopyCCMInit: ldr r4, [r2, r3] str r4, [r0, r3] adds r3, r3, #4 LoopCopyCCMInit: ad

in stm32f4xx_hal.c file the function __weak HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_InitTick uses a function HAL_SYSTICK_Config thats in stm32f4xx_hal_cortex.c file and that function uses SysTick_Config(TicksNumb) but i cant find this function .just wondering where this function lives

Hello,I am currently designing a battery-powered device that incorporates the STUSB4500. I have a question regarding the I²C pins: specifically, whether it is safe for these pins to be pulled up (via the system microcontroller’s pull-ups) when no voltage is present on VBUS or VDD.In my design, the primary microcontroller can be powered on even when the USB power is absent, which means the I²C lines would be driven high before VBUS or VDD is applied to the STUSB4500. I have reviewed the datasheet, but it does not clearly state whether the operating or maximum ratings for the I²C pins depend on VDD. My assumption is that it should be acceptable, but I wanted to confirm to avoid any potential issues.Any guidance or confirmation you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance. Thanks!

Cube MX: After RTC configuration with "activate clock source" and running the Cube generated Code  the RTC wont start.TheCube MX generated code  is missing to set the RTCAPBEN Bit in the RCC->APB3ENR Register.I found out that the  "stm32h5xx_hal_rtc.c"  hal  driver  doesnt work correct.:The driver states:   "Call the function HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig with RCC_PERIPHCLK_RTC forPeriphClockSelection and select RTCClockSelection (LSE, LSI or HSEdiv32)(+) Enable RTC Clock using the __HAL_RCC_RTC_ENABLE() function."This is called by the Cube output but this doesnt set the RCC Clock bit for the RTC to "1" . It stays "0"Workaround:   Set the RTCAPBEN Bit   in   RCC->APB3ENR  manualy. Regards Henry

I'm new to STM32CubeMX and have difficulties finding out how to map all OCTOSPIM_P2 signals to Port G. I can manually map some signals to Port G (CS, IO[7:4], DQS), but can't figure out how to map the rest.  Any help most welcome!

Hello,I initially implemented TouchGFX on an Nucleo board with an STM32G071RBT6 (128K flash).Currently, I am using a custom PCB with an STM32G071R8T6 (64K flash), but I did not change the MCU model in STM32CubeIDE.However, despite the build analyzer showing a flash usage of 90K, the application appears to be running normally. The images are stored in SPI flash, but I expected the application to fail due to exceeding the MCU’s 64K flash limit. What could be the reason why the application is still functioning seemingly without issues?I have attached an image showing the memory usage in the build analyzer.Thank you!

I'm trying to find out the exact steps to regress an STM32U083 to an erased state after programming it with the OEMiRoT example project and and locking it to RDP2 by the accompanying provisioning.bat script. Will be using STM32CubeProgrammerCLI (or the GUI version at first just to test the steps) for the regression.Something like chapter 10 of the STM32U5 AN5347 would be nice (https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00625692-stm32l5-series-trustzone-features-stmicroelectronics.pdf)or like this forum post on U5: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-regress-from-rdp-level-2-to-rdp-level-0-on-the-stm32u5/ta-p/568476Especially the "Disable RDP regression with a password" action in the programmer GUI seems very counter-intuitive to do for an RDP2 level locked chip, as if you would deliberately brick it by disabling the regression (no password in level 2 = bricked). Is this always a safe step? Because as long as the level is 2, the password will be necessary to regress

It's strange that I got this pic before click the get latest: But when I try to download it, it changes to 1.17.0, funny?

[VERSION]: MCWB v6.3.2[TOOL]: STM32CubeMX v6.13.0, STM32CubeIDE v1.11.5[BOARD]: STEVAL-PTOOL1V1[PROJECT]: STEVAL-PTOOL1V1_6S_SLI've been trying to get this board working with a small BLDC motor but the keeps shutting off the motor output when the speed is brought up a bit.  I tried increasing the current limit in the code (I believe although I'm not certain I'm effectively doing that).I want to see if I can connect a serial port and see messages or use Motor Pilot or Motor Profiler.  The documentation for this board doesn't show a UART port mapped to the external pins.  Can it be done?

Hello,I'm having some trouble using adc with dma and HAL. I noticed that in function HAL_ADC_Start_DMA Length parameter is multiplied with 4. Shouldn't be 2 (16 bit data from adc)?File stm32wbaxx_hal_adc.c line 1760 (checked with versions 1.2.0, 1.4.1)Best regards

I'm developing a low-power device using the STM32WLE5.To reduce power consumption of the peripherals (sensors / display / eeprom) during the sleep of the MCU, all these peripherals are switched off with a P-channel mosfet as shown in this part of the schematicThe enable is driven down by a GPIO when the peripheral is active. To minimize the power consumption of the MCU during sleep, the IO's are configured as Analog inputs. The 1M pull-up resistor keeps the mosfet OFF when it's gate is not driven during sleep of the MCU.But it's not working as expected : when the IO is configured as analog, it's not rising to 3.3V, but remains at 2.5V, too low to properly turn off the mosfet..When I replace the 1M with 330K, it's better, but I'd like to understand why such a strong pull-up is needed ?The GPIO in analog input mode should be very high impedance, same for the mosfet..I could keep the GPIO in output and drive the mosfet gate even when MCU is in sleep, but AN4899 recommends them to be config

Hello,Hello,I'm planning to integrate GPS: GNSS1 and install a web browser on an STM32MP157F-DK2, so I'm looking to add layers. Before adding the layers, I thought it would be a good idea to follow this tutorial:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php?title=STM32MPU_Distribution_Package&sfr=stm32mpuI followed it to the letter.I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 with all the required dependencies:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP135x-DK/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Install_the_SDKI'm up to 80% of the st-image-weston bitbake when an error message appears:```ERROR: st-image-vendorfs-1.0-r0 do_rootfs: The postinstall intercept hook 'update_mandb' failed, details in /home/atem/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/stm32mp1-ostl-linux-gnueabi/st-image-vendorfs/1.0/temp/log.do_rootfsERROR: Logfile of failure stored in: /home/atem/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/stm32mp1-ostl-linux-gnueab

Hello,The datasheet for STM32WB55RG (DS11929, 3.6.1 RF front-end block diagram, page 22) states that the output power is user programmable:"In Transmit mode, the maximum output power is user selectable through the programmable LDO voltage of the power amplifier. A linearized, smoothed analog control offers clean power ramp-up."The figure 5 in reference manual RM0434 shows a Max PA level input to the LDO but I can't find the register to set this value. How do I program the RF transmit power on a STM32WB55 ?Thanks for considering my request.

Dear Experts,I am looking at configuring the CORTEX_M7 section for my custom STM32H743VIT6 based board. Below are the functionalities that I plan to use with the board:a. Sensors' reading via SPI, I2C, b. Communication via UART/USART, USB, Ethernet (LAN8742),c. LwIP and potentially FreeRTOS I would like to have your advice on the disabling / enabling of caches and especially the MPU configuration/settings in case :1. Without external QSPI Flash and external PSRAM,2. With external QSPI Flash and/or external PSRAMI took some look at the STM32H7-LwIP-Examples for the NUCLEO-STM32H743 board  and the following h7_lwip_freertos example but there's certain different in terms of number of MPU regions being used as well as their base addresses, sizes and permissions, etc.Where can I find the information or documentation to correctly configure the above section, please ?Thanks in advance and best regards,Khang

Section 3.20: "It requires a precise 48 MHz clock that is generated from the internal high-speedexternal clock source"So we have "internal external" clock source. ;)

Hey, I am working on Xbee with stm32, and I am getting a big problem while connection.  I am using two Xbee's one is configured as a standard router which is connected to UART1 of the stm32 controller and the other is configured as a coordinator which is connected to the com port of another system through RS485 cable to XCTU. I have to use them in API mode. I have configured both of them in API Mode, now I am able to send API data frame from router to coordinator , but I cant receive API frame from coordinator to router ?  When I send a simple API frame from the coordinator to the router, the router Xbee sends an acknowledgment frame back to the coordinator, but my controller does not receive any frame, I have written the code to receive the complete frame at once using the polling method as well as interrupt method as well as to fetch the data in single-byte also. But it's not working. Data is received up to Xbee but the controller does not receive anything. It stops th

Dear board, Whenever I create a Trust-zone enabled stm32 project for an stm32h573xx microcontroller using cube ide or cube mx, upon code generation I get the warning:"The provisioning scripts are only supported for DK boards (Or custom boards with the same flash and same pin mapping.     Are you sure to have this kind of board?"The microcontroller I am using does not have a corresponding evaluation board ( STM32H573VIT6T ), so i would either like to know:Is this warning relevant?what are the consequences of using the generated provisioning scripts? What corrections should I manualy enter to support the used microcontroller? To reproduce this behaviorOpen CUBEIDE and create a new stm32 projectSelect Trust zone enabled, uncheck secure project generation.Select the STM32H573VIT6T microcontrollerIn the CUBEMX interface go to Project tab and setup the Secure Boot path adding stIrot, stuRot and secure manager to boot the non-secure application.save and generate the code, t
