My H5 DK board is in TZ-CLOSED state (after --sfi-flash), I am unable to put it in "Level 1/2/3 Intrusive Debug" state no matter what combinations of keys and certificates to use (including key_1_root.pem and cert_root.b64). Only Full regression works. Any suggestions?  Thanks! 17:16:50 : Start Debug Authentication Sequence17:16:50 : SDMOpen : 602 : open : SDM API v1.017:16:50 : SDMOpen : 603 : open : SDM Library version v1.1.017:16:50 : open_comms : 495 : open : Asserting target reset17:16:50 : open_comms : 499 : open : Writing magic number17:16:50 : open_comms : 509 : open : De-asserting target reset17:16:50 : open_comms : 561 : open : Communication with the target established successfully17:16:50 : discovery: target ID.......................:0x48417:16:50 : discovery: SoC ID..........................:0x00000000_35353537_3332510A_003A002B17:16:50 : discovery: SDA version.....................:2.4.017:16:50 : discovery: Vendor ID.......................:STMicroelectronics17:16

Hello, the STM32G0 low-power state diagram (Figure 8 below) is in the ref. manual RM0444 on page 127.It shows that a direct transition from Run Mode to LP Sleep Mode is not possible.Questions:* Is there a simple method to transition from Run Mode to LP Sleep Mode by 'passing' through LP Run Mode? * After waking up from LP Sleep Mode, where does code execution continue?Reason for the question:Our application needs a low-power mode where the MCU is turned off (no communication with external devices), but can wake up within approx. 500 ms and begin executing at a specific point in the firmware.Thank you!

The equipment I am using is the following: Nucleo-Board L476RG, STM32CubeIde 1.10.1. I am attempting to design a simple dsp system that uses an ADC to send the data it receives from a function waveform generator to a DAC, and the DAC output will then be connected to an oscilloscope. I am trying to figure out how to use the TIM2 interrupt to drive sampling from PC2 with ADC1, and then immediately send the ADC data to DAC for output from PA4.The function generator will generate a sin signal with a frequency of 100Hz.

We have been using an STM32 U585 with additional external FLASH connected to OSPI1 and external PSRAM connected to OSPI2.  This is not on a dev kit, it is our own hardware.  The PSRAM is memory-mapped and is using the HyperBus protocol.  We have noticed that every once in awhile the PSRAM will skip two bytes while reading from the memory.  As this is a memory mapped peripheral, we are reading it via memcpy, and we don't see HAL_OSPI_ErrorCallback or HAL_OSPI_AbortCpltCallback hit.   It appears to always skip 2 bytes after the first 8 bytes of the memcpy, and it still transfers the full number of bytes, walking 2 bytes past the end of the desired read.  Even stranger, if we immediately issue the same memcpy after detecting this issue, it works correctly on the second attempt. I have walked through the errata and the datasheets and cannot find a rhyme or reason as to why we would be deterministically dropping bytes like this.  It is always the

Hello,We had to switch out an SD card for eMMC and we kept with SDMMC1. I am aware of having to burn the fuses to get eMMC to default to SDMMC1 which I did. I was able to get it to flash successfully, and now when you switch it to 010 it will boot from SDMMC1 using eMMC. It will then get an error message,     Terminal ready gNOTICE: CPU: STM32MP135A Rev.Y NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mpu-v24.06.26 INFO: PMIC version = 0x21 INFO: Reset reason (0x35): INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por) INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe0000 INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_io INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_fuse INFO: Using EMMC INFO: Instance 1 INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1 NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp1-r2.0(debug):lts-v2.8.15-dirty(567af710) NOTICE: BL2: Built : 00:51:33, Jan 26 2024 INFO: BL2: Doing platform setup

Hello! First, some information: I am running a custom board with an STM32U599VJT6 and a 480x480 RGB666 screen. I am running single frame buffer, by allocation. All other settings are like the STM32U5A9-DK discovery board uses (as far as I know). The problem: the handleTickEvent function is not running, model tick is only running once (I checked with breakpoints). The initial framebuffer does get generated and displayed successfully on the screen but I cannot update the screen after that. The LTDC interrupt fires at a correct 16ms interval. So far, the debugging has led me to find that it seems that some functions related to the VSYNC in HAL_LTDC_LineEventCallback in TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp are not mutated (defined as virtual functions but not overwritten). (See pictures).(Eclipse code highlighting says that the bold text is mutated, the normal text is virtual.) I cannot find where the mutation is supposed to happen. This is the only significant difference I have been able to

Hey All, Similar issue to this previous topic,I'm running into a timeout error every time I try and call  USBx->GRSTCTL |= USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST from the USB_CoreReset function in the example code. It seems like the previous solution was to make sure that a specific bit in the RCC section was enabled. But, that seems to be for the F3/U5 series of MCUs, and the H7 doesn't have that particular register or bit, it seems that the RCC is controlled a little bit differently. I've attached my register view, with a few of the RCC registers that might be of interest expanded. It might also be something that's not part of the RCC causing the issue, so I thought it wise to just include everything, incase there's something else in my project causing trouble. We haven't done a full clock analysis on this project yet, but it's on the to-do list.Thanks,-Hal

We are trying to assemble a laboratory plant from https://github.com/gergelytakacs/AutomationShield/wiki/FloatShieldThe ball position sensor (VL53L0X) is positioned at the top of the transparent policarbonate tube. We checked the reported ball positions by moving the ball in increments of 5 mm and noting the measured value. The results look almost linear without any obvious issues.Since the example controller was still not working as it should, we checked the measured ball position with an external reference video system during the actual operation. The graph below shows the ball position from the bottom of the tube. There appears to be large discrepancies in the middle of the tube. There are internal reflections of the ball on the sides of the tube - could this cause issues in reported ball position? Is it possible to measure only the first reflection with these sensors? This would practically invalidate all other reflections since those paths are longer.

Hello,I stumbled across a probably already wellknown problem:unable-to-use-quadspi-status-flag-polling-mode-with-instruction Now I'd like to know if there are any news, somebody wrote that the issue is observed by ST.Second I'd like to know if newer H75x revisions or devices with OCTO/HEXASPI (H735, H7RS, N6, ) suffer from the same problem(s).Third, regarding the comment from TeslaDeLorean, I'd like to know if this behaviour is related to the flash device.Ok, the problem:If I use 4 lines for instructions for status register polling of a QPI-able flash (MX66L1G45) I observed that if the WIP bit is set in the first status poll, the polling cycle is done, but the next polling fails. If the WIP is reset at the first time it is polled, the pollings stops, the program continues. That caused a race condition on my side (works, works not, works, ...) and took some time to investigate...Here is the situation: first poll is OK (2 clocks for command request, 2 clocks for status reply). Dear SupportI want to add timestamp registration to the FIFO.I already use FIFO to save gyroscope and accelerometer samples, but I'm struggling to add timestamps.Since ODR is too high for polling mode the only solution is this one.I attach some code snippets to make it clear, also consider them as pseudo code taken from a more complex structure.ism330dlc_fifo_time_set and timer_rd are not present in the library but I wrote them based on the AN5125 int32_t ism330dlc_fifo_time_set(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint8_t val) { ism330dlc_fifo_ctrl2_t fifo_ctrl2; int32_t ret; ret = ism330dlc_read_reg(ctx, ISM330DLC_FIFO_CTRL2, (uint8_t *)&fifo_ctrl2, 1); if (ret == 0) { fifo_ctrl2.fifo_timer_en = val; ret = ism330dlc_write_reg(ctx, ISM330DLC_FIFO_CTRL2, (uint8_t *)&fifo_ctrl2, 1); } return ret; } uint64_t ism330dlc_timer_rd(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx) { uint64_t time = 0; uint8_t t0; ism330dlc_read_reg(ctx, ISM330DLC_TIMESTAMP0_REG, (uint8_t *)&t0, 1); time =

The TS3330AMR has a voltage reference, but the internal configuration of the IC is unclear. Is a reverse bypass diode, like the reverse voltage protection of a linear regulator, unnecessary?

Hi. I have a problem when trying to establish a serial communication from SPC58 to my PC. My device manager only shows SPC58EC-DISP in the "other devices" section. 1.  SPC58EC-DISP is connected with USB cable to my PC. 2. I have installed the drivers from the link that was provided in the DKReferenceCode: CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers - Silicon Labs.  3. Installed "CP210x Windows Drivers"  and "CP210x VPC Windows" and "CP210x Universal Windows Driver" 4. I run the installer, example "CP210xVCPInstaller_x64". 5. When i try to update the drivers to the SPC58EC-DISP in the device manager, windows doesn´t find the drivers.   Kind Regards, Joona.

Good afternoon,I'm using a screen that is naturally in a portrait orientation but my application requires landscape. I've found how to rotate the entire GUI in TouchGFX, however I am finding that I need also to rotate every PNG asset I've imported 90 degrees for it to appear correctly on the simulator or the actual screen (Focus LCD).Here it is without the asset rotated:And here you'll see that I've rotated the asset 90 degrees in the `Images` section, and it appears correctly:Is this expected behaviour or is something set up incorrectly in my project? I wouldn't expect to have to rotate every single asset, in addition to the global setting being set. Thanks in advance!Julia

So it looks like there are 2.5W or 15W reference designs, does anyone have a 5W reference design?

When I have the HC-06 powered from the board (either 3.3V or 5V) & try to upload to the board I get, Target no device foundError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target. Yet when I unhook the module from the board everything uploads fine. So, I uploaded to check my debug serial connection without the HC-06 connected, all fine.Hook up the module, no debug . Its as if connecting it up to the power on the board knocks out the USB-ST-Link. When I plug into the 5V - debug drops, LED3 goes out & LED1 starts flashing. When I plug into to 3.3V - debug stops but the LEDs remain on.I've swapped out the HC-06 module but I still get the same behaviour, All power is being supplied by the US-ST-Link

I am trying to use my STM32F429IGT6 CAN to receive some data from the host computer. The data is basically 4 16-bit unsigned integers (8 bytes in total), the message ID is 0x16 and uses the 11-bit standard ID format. The host computer sends messages to the bus in a 2ms cycle. On the STM32 part, I enabled CAN1 and used the interrupt function to receive and process the data. However, most of the time, the STM32 does not show any CAN messages coming, and the HAL_CAN_GetRxFifoFillLevel() function always returns 0. This makes me really confused.Below is the initialization code in my can.c file. My CAN1 is mounted on the APB1 bus with a frequency of 45Mhz, and the CAN transmission rate of the host computer and STM32 is 500kbps.void MX_CAN1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN CAN1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END CAN1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN CAN1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END CAN1_Init 1 */ hcan1.Instance = CAN1; hcan1.Init.Prescaler = 6; hcan1.Init.Mode = CAN_MODE_NORMAL; hcan1.Init.Sync

hello st community!I installed today STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.17.0 Build: 23558_20241125_2245 (UTC). I want develop the firmware for a motor controller with the stspin32g4 mcu. i cant select this mcu in the target selector for the new project. why did the people at st.com not have this mcu in the target selector?what is a work around? i already run a serach for updates but it came back with no new updates.should I select a G431 mcu? but I think the pin config will be different then. i have 5 mcu stspin32g4 here.and the datasheet look like they are perfect for a small esc because the stspin32g4 with 170MHz has enough power to run FOC. and the BOM and pcb is small. thank you if you can help meFrank

Good morning,I am implementing a USB connection between my PC and the STM32F107 MCU in Device Only mode on a custom PCB. Since the PCB is powered through the USB connector (VBUS), I do not want to use the VBUS sensing pin (PA9) to activate USB communication. I have disabled it in the STM32CubeIDE settings, but the communication still does not start when I connect the cable. The only way I found to initiate USB communication between the PC and the MCU is by setting PA9 as a GPIO OUTPUT Pull-Up. Is there a way to disable VBUS detection? For reference, I am using the Middleware USB library with the Virtual COM Port (VCP) class. In the past, I used an STM32F411CEU6, and I did not encounter this issue—USB communication started immediately upon connecting the cable, even without VBUS being connected.

Hi,I am using MotionFX Library on stm32wl55 (CM4 without FPU). run at 48MHz (max frequency)it is impossible to run MotionFX_CM4F_wc32_ot.aso i use :MotionFX_CM3_wc32_ot.a and it is work. by debugging, the MotionFX_manager_run function take different execution time in different cycles?. in general, it tack 1 or 2 ms for 3 or 4 cycles, than 10 to 15 ms for the 5th cycle ! (trying Oz and Ofast optimisation)it is normal ?in attachment a screenshot for fusion execution real time record.  the lowest recommended frequency on the UM2220 is 100Hz.in my case it is just impossible to do faster !so is the library can work correctly if i set a lower frequency ?the third argument in MotionFX_manager_run(pdata_in, pdata_out, MOTION_FX_ENGINE_DELTATIME) can be a variable (set the real delta time between two execution)? because in ST examples it is always set to a fix value.if you have other recommendation to reduce the time of execution, pleas tel me :) Tha

Hello,We are investigating the VL53L7CX presence detection ToF sensor. In the datasheet its mentioned it needs to be mounted in a clean environment "The customer is advised to use a clean assembly process until aprotective cover glass is mounted." and the application note TN1532 "Recommendations for assembling dToF sensors without liners in an environmentally clean place" - states that the sensors should be mounted in a clean environment grade 1000.  Our manufacturer dose not have a 1000 grade clean room but he has 10000 grade. What would be the consequences of mounting the sensor in an 10000 grade environment ? Thank you very much!
