Dear STMicroelectronics Support Team, I am writing to report a critical compatibility issue in STM32CubeMX related to user profile paths containing non-ASCII characters (e.g., Turkish characters like "Ö"). This issue prevents the software from functioning correctly after the first launch and causes persistent errors in subsequent sessions. Issue Details User Profile Path:My Windows username contains a non-ASCII character (Öxxx), resulting in the default profile path:C:\Users\Öxxx\.stmcufinderC:\Users\Öxxx\.stm32cubemx Observed Errors: STM32CubeMX fails to initialize properly on the second launch. Temporary Workaround:Creating a new Windows user with ASCII-only username (e.g., "Omer") resolves the issue, confirming that the problem stems from non-ASCII characters in the profile path. Requested Fixes/Improvements Unicode Path Support:Update STM32CubeMX to fully support Unicode/non-ASCII characters in file and directory paths. User-Defined Data Directory

V SWITCH_MIN (VLXx)is measured below the the absolute maximum rating on datasheet (-0.5V).However this limit is momentary ony (7.2 ns) as shown on the measurement.Usually datasheet specifies the minimum DC limit and minimum limit during transient value.Minimum limit during transient is not mentioned in datasheet.Could you assist in evaluating if the transient votlage of -1.40V on VLXx for ~7.2 ns is acceptable.Current situation:V SWITCH_MIN does not remain <-0.5V for longer than 10ns. (-1.4V for 4.2ns)Evaluate if this situation is acceptable.VLxx is -1.4V for about 7.2ns Zoomed out view of switching node

An expert ST staff could easily done this for all of us. Anyway, at least we have an example. Thanks for your time... New question moved from this original thread.

Hello, We have been using this Processor for very long time in our 2 project stream. We are planning to use this part again, but for application suitability we need to verify this product as per our requirement. So, i wanted to ask is there any Evaluation board available for this part, STM32G0B1CET6N

Hello ST team,I am using the full API for the VL53L1 TOF sensor, and I noticed that there are two versions of the full library available. One library (en.STSW-IMG015 VL53L3CX_BareDriver_1.2.10) is named vl53lx_api.c, and the other library (STSW-IMG019 VL53L1CB_BareDriver_6.6.18.2652) is named vl53l1_api.c. My understanding is that the library with "vl53lx" in the name should be a universal library that works with all TOF sensors, right? Both of these libraries seem to work with the VL53L1 TOF sensor. Our product aims to be compatible with both the VL53L3 and VL53L1 sensors while saving Flash space. Is there any risk in using the en.STSW-IMG015 VL53L3CX_BareDriver_1.2.10 library to drive the VL53L1 sensor?Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi All,Is there anyone knows why sample projects do not include a .ioc file ?Are not these project generated with CubeMx ?https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7/tree/master/Projects Regards.

 I am wondering if ST could add a 3D model of the STLINK-V3 MINIE itself to the "CAD Resources". Currently, there are only STL files for ST's enclosure, but it would be helpful to have the 3D model of the PCBA itself to design other enclosures.

Hello every one .this is my first post so excuse me if i do something wrong.I try to establish Uart Asynchronous line between two stm32f303k8 .one of them use basic timer to send 8 byte uint buffer every 200 mili-sec and the other use HAL_UART_Receive_IT first in the "/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */"and circularly recall it again in HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback.So my problem is that after the first reception i get overrun error and when i enable overrun in the CubeMX i see that after the first reception the first byte are the last byte of the previous message and all other bytes are shifted right .**I attached image of   my  UART configuration (same for both of them)Sender variables :uint8_t m_tx_buffer[8] = {0}; uint8_t flag = 0;  Sender while(1):  if (flag == 1) { flag = 0; HAL_UART_Transmit_IT(&huart1, m_tx_buffer, sizeof(m_tx_buffer)); m_tx_buffer[5] ++; } Receiver variables : volatile uint8_t s_rx_buffer[8] = {0}; uint8_t s_tx_buffer[8] = {0}; u

Please check the figure below,  as request by our customers, we need to update the test report every 2 years. But the test report we received before the molding compound was supplied by different supplier, can we know if it's due to different assembling site (ST & Amkor) ?  Or there is a PCN of material change for this part.

Hello,I am using a EVSPIN32G4-DUAL board to drive a 48V BLDC motor and using an encoder for speed feedback. After a week of troubleshooting I was able to determine why my motor project could not achieve speeds above 700 RPM. The board has RC lowpass filters on the encoder / Hall sensor lines. The capacitor is oversized (1nF) and gives a lowpass cutoff frequency of about 16kHz. For comparison, my encoder with 2500 pulses per revolution spinning at 700 RPM yields about 29kHz. So at and above 700 RPM the encoder signal was becoming attenuated by the filter and could not be detected by the microcontroller.I was able to solve this by removing the 1nF capacitors and replacing them with 12pF.For example, the STEVAL-CTM015A1 uses 1.8K resistors and 10pF capacitors for the same purpose. So, it would be helpful if someone at ST could update the documentation or software to provide a warning when using this board and encoders at high speeds.

Hi everyone I want to program Stm32F103C8t6 via USB and STM32Cube programmer version 2.10.0. I am using "STM32 smart V2." I pulled up the Boot0 pin and disconnected and connected the USB cable to the board (the board's power comes from the USB, so it resets when the USB gets disconnected and connected ). Still, the Cube programmer can't find any DFU, and the windows  always come up with the message "USB not recognized."  let me know if you can suggest any solution Best regards

 Hello ST Experts, I'm using STM32H747 and I try to run adc calibration at the start of the code, like under lines.     HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc3, ADC_CALIB_OFFSET_LINEARITY, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED);    HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc3, ADC_CALIB_OFFSET, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); I'm wondering if there is a need to apply a specific voltage to the ADC input lines before calling the above functions.

I am looking at the definition ST gives for each of the Xfer options, but so far none of them really are making sense to me. First off, what is Sequential usage vs non-sequential usage and how does this apply for the following:I2C_FIRST_AND_LAST_FRAMEI2C_FIRST_FRAMEI2C_FIRST_AND_NEXT_FRAMEI2C_NEXT_FRAMEI2C_LAST_FRAMEI2C_LAST_FRAME_NO_STOPI2C_OTHER_FRAME

Dear all,    I have encountered an strange issue. I set Usart1 Baud Rate to 115200, however, Usart1 BRR[15:4]==0x0082, which corresponds to 57600.(57600 == 120Mhz/(16*0x82)).   I also noticed that HAL_RCC_GetPCLK2Freq() returns a wrong pclk value 0x0E4E1C00(240M), but it should be 120M. The Usart1 Config and Rcc config are as follows :

Hi All,I search for STM32 MCU discovery kit which meets the following conditions.・It have a 4-inch or larger LCD screen.・It have 10 or more GPIO ports that user can use freely.・It have 2 or more UART ports that user can use freely.STM32U5G9J-DK2 have 16 GPIO ports, but only have 1 UART according to user manual. Is there anything else that meets the above conditions. Thanks in advance.

The UART2 IRQ Handler gets called consistently and never clears a few milliseconds after initialization. If the debugger is not present on the RX line, the program always gets stuck in the IRQ Handler forever, until I touch the RX pin with my finger.  Then the program begins executing normally. On our STM32WL5MOCH-based board, the debug port (UART2) pins are left floating.  Here is the beginning of our main.c, which only uses default STM32CubeMX generated driver files, nothing custom.  Please note the included project .ioc file in this post.  int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END Sy

Hello,This might seem like a silly question but when using the pin names generated by cube IDE for the RMII interface does TXDx connect to TXDx on the PHY or RXDx? On the schematic for the NUCLEO board it seems that the microcontroller pin in named the same as the pin which it connects to on the PHY. Is this the case? Thank you. This really worrying me as I would feel pretty *** if I connect TX to TX and it didn't work.

Anybody have Linker.ld and Loader_src.c file for STM32H563?  I have done one for the STM32H743 on another project and made an attempt to modify these for the STM32H563 but it's not working.  Appreciate any guidance.I changed the RAM location from 0x24000000 for the H7 to 0x20000000 for the H5 but not sure what else is different as it pertains to a loader.Something with the Init could be wrong...int Init(void) { *(uint32_t*)0xE000EDF0 = 0xA05F0000; //enable interrupts in debug // Added per suggestion from ST to clear out QSPI structure memset(&hospi1, 0, sizeof(hospi1)); SystemInit(); /* ADAPTATION TO THE DEVICE * * change VTOR setting for H5 device * SCB->VTOR = 0x20000000 | 0x200; * * change VTOR setting for other devices * SCB->VTOR = 0x20000000 | 0x200; * * */ SCB->VTOR = 0x20000000 | 0x200; __set_PRIMASK(0); //enable interrupts HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); __HAL_RCC_OSPI1_FORCE_RESET(); //completely reset periph

Hello there, I am working with STM32 TouchGFX with STM32L496ZG-P with AT25Q128A NOR Flash, using this setup my application is to fetch the large amount of data (touchGFX images) from the external flash (AT25Q128A NOR Flash) and to dump it inside the main mcu before the compilation. I created loader file using "Controllers Tech Tutorial" https://controllerstech.com/w25q-flash-series-part-10-qspi-ext-loader-in-h750/ . On inserting the external loader file in the debug configurations, by enabling the two check boxes of "Enable" and "Initialize" (refer to the image attached herewith) my HAL_delay() is not working, further i came to know that, it is because of not reception of the interrupt (so that the "uwTick" is not getting incremented) from the sysTick, but when i tried pressing the onboard reset button, the code continues execution specifically HAL_Delay() is also working, NOTE: When i pressed on board reset button, it starts executing from the point it stopped not from the s

I am putting the STM32WB55 into a space sensitive application so i would like things as small as possible. The application note (AN5129) is very good for a PCB antenna, but I would like a chip antenna to be as small as possible (cost is less of an issue). Are there any recommended chip antennas (or even better, reference designs using them) for the STM32WB?Thanks!
