Hi,With the latest STM32CubeIDE 1.18.0 (I tried on Mac and Windows), on a brand new project for a STM32H7B0VBT6 mcu. In the ioc, if I try to enable the SAI1 (or SAI2) it let me choose the mode for both SAI A and SAI B but the configuration panel is empty, it also shows a spinning icon when clicking on SAI1 again. I attached a screenshot for reference. Everything else seems fine (I2S, I2C, SPI, ADC, etc).Any help is welcome! Thank you!

I plan to transmit stream of approx 10k characters by uart every second. For that purpose, I have definer global char array of 10.5k length. After working for few second, the MCU goes in HardFault.I tried with array of 1000 bytes only, it works fine. But as I increased to 10k bytes array, problem start coming.Should I change stack sizes in linker file. ? please suggest and where to change.

I would like to file a bug report for STM32CubeMX.During configuration of CORDIC using DMA, I have found the following issue:In:void HAL_CORDIC_MspInit(CORDIC_HandleTypeDef* hcordic) { if(hcordic->Instance==CORDIC) { /* USER CODE BEGIN CORDIC_MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END CORDIC_MspInit 0 */ /* Peripheral clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_CORDIC_CLK_ENABLE(); /* CORDIC DMA Init */ /* CORDIC_WR Init */ hdma_cordic_wr.Instance = DMA1_Stream0; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.Request = DMA_REQUEST_CORDIC_WRITE; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.Direction = DMA_MEMORY_TO_PERIPH; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.PeriphInc = DMA_PINC_DISABLE; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.PeriphDataAlignment = DMA_PDATAALIGN_WORD; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.MemDataAlignment = DMA_MDATAALIGN_WORD; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.Mode = DMA_NORMAL; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.Priority = DMA_PRIORITY_LOW; hdma_cordic_wr.Init.FIFOMode = DMA_FIFOMODE_DISABLE; if (HAL_DMA_Init(&hdma_cordic_wr) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler();

Hello,I got a error message during control project genaration"It is not possible to create a motor control project with the FOC algorithm using the selected hardware. No proper path for motor control signals was found for the following mandatory features: - Phase Voltage Generation - Current SensingFor more details, please, look at the following log file in your home directory: .st_workbench/connectAlgo.log", but it was unable to find connectAlgo.log in the folder \AppData\Local\STMicroelectronics\MC_SDK_6.3.2\Utilities\PC_Software\STMCWB\.

It looks like this commit reverted the hashes for meta-st-stm32mp-addons and meta-st-scripts.The revert for meta-st-stm32mp-addons is particularly problematic because the commit pointed to by the v6.0.2 manifest has LAYERSERIES_COMPAT_stm-st-stm32mp-mx = "mickledore", which breaks the build for v6.0.2, which requires "scarthgap". Am I missing something?

It is really sad that ST decided to not implement this requested and really helpful feature: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeG4/issues/23Maybe we can change their minds by creating some more attention to this topic here? Leave a comment, when you also find this useful ;)Example solution for the I²C driver by adding a void* to the handle:  typedef struct __I2C_HandleTypeDef { /* Rest of struct... */ #if (USE_HAL_CALLBACK_CONTEXT == 1) void *UserContext; #endif /* USE_HAL_CALLBACK_CONTEXT */ } I2C_HandleTypeDef;

Hello, Apologies in advance for the length of this post. I am looking for some advice as I am working on getting a cpp based callback for the VL53L4CD sensor, to do this I have written a file which should perform all the same setup as the driver provided however I am encountering a strange error that I cannot understand.Link to Github with Code, please see: real_time_drivers/VL53L4CD/VL53L4CD_LinuxDriver_V2.3.2/user/uld-driver for all relevant codeWhen I run my own file first, it sets the sensor to always return a status of two even if I then run the example executable (menu) provided as part of the the driver example this also returns a status of two.  HOWEVER, if I run these in the other order the sensor range is printed perfectly by my own program. This status will remain the same for any executable ran after the first and will be overwritten.  I have tried to find a conditional statement that might cause this however I have been unsuccessful in doing s

 On a server device I'm updating a characteristic that is 32 bytes long and when receive the ACI_GATT_NOTIFICATION_VSEVT_CODE on client side I got only notified for 20 bytes.I don't find any reference to a 20 bytes limit in read or notify command / messages but it looks I can't transmit more that 20 bytes in one time in one way or anotherit's almost like a complement issue of this post : https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/read-characteristic-48-bytes-long-generate-3-read-permit-req/td-p/789019I've try to change (enlarge or reduce) connection time min/max and scann window / periodThank's to anyone that have any idea

In STM32F405xx STM32F407xx datasheet On page 19/203, there are typos in APB2 and APB1 frequencies.

Hi,Using Wise studio Version: 1.3.1_R Build id: 2023_05 on Linux with the STEVAL-IDB012V1 (BlueRNG-LPS dev. kit). I am trying to make the DMA sending a series of bytes to the lowest byte of the GPIOB output. The goal is to see a binary sequence appear on PB0 and PB1. I filled the buffer "buffer" with values where bit 0 and 1 are changing. Then, I call the two functions depicted below but nothing happens on PB0 and PB1. I already verified that the counter is counting and the GPIO can drive different values on PB0 and PB1. So I think my problem is in the DMA settings.#define BUFFER_LENGTH 1400 #define PERIOD_50_US 3200 // 50us from 64Mhz timer 16 uint8_t buffer[BUFFER_LENGTH]; void My_GPIO_Settings() { GPIOA->MODER =0x000000A0; LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_0, LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT); LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_1, LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT); } void DMA_Based_Waveform_Settings() { // Setting DMA channel MODIFY_REG(RCC->AHBENR, 0, 1); // Enable the clock for DMA and

Hi,TouchGFX does not like spaces in the path. I just wanted to check a couple of things please: 1) that is referring to the/my project path only, is that correct? 2) For those of you who use Dropbox, the Dropbox PC folder name cannot be changed and it always contains the team or person name + a space + "Dropbox". So it seems you cannot have your projects stored on Dropbox. And I would really need to have them there. Are there any workaround? How do you do it? Thank you :)

Hi,I've lost the power brick for my STM32MP15X-EVAL board. It's a 5v-3a barrel connector, but I don't know the polarity and it's not written on the board or anywhere.Does anyone know where I can find a replacement, or the exact spec of the power brick so that I can find another one ?

Hello, I am designing a card that will use an STM32G474QET6TR and I want to program it using USART. The card will use a USB to USART converter (FTDI4232HL).  The Rx and Tx of the FTDI are connected to pin PA2 and PA3 respectively, as I found in AN2606. My first question is how can I tell my MCU that it is supposed to use bootloader mode ? and Which pattern would be better to use ? Also, regarding the pattern, how do I tell the MCU that nBoot1(bit) is supposed to be a 1 or a 0 ?  I am quite lost regarding how the bootloader works and any docs I've read as made me even more lost ?? So any help provided will be most welcome. Thank you very much

Greetings - what are the recommended maximum current ratings for the INT pin in either Push-Pull or Open-Drain? And FWIW, I was really surprised NOT to find this published in the datasheet...TIA,-Terry

Hi ST team,We’re using the ST25R3918 in a low-power BLE+NFC product. During testing, we noticed unexpected ~10 µA additional current draw when the chip was in Power-Down mode (with all VDD rails active), despite expecting ~1–2 µA per the datasheet.After isolating all possible causes, we found this behavior:With I2C_EN pulled HIGH (selecting I²C mode), total current in power-down mode is ~13 µAWith I2C_EN pulled LOW (SPI mode), current drops to ~3 µANo I²C or SPI traffic is active at this point — chip is just powered and sitting in default state after POR, even with lines cut.This behavior seems to suggest that I²C mode selection (I2C_EN = HIGH) may keep some internal circuitry partially active, even in Power-Down mode.We’ve decided to move back to SPI mode (LOW), which solves the issue and also allows faster data transfer and shorter NFC "on-time."Is this increased current draw in Power-Down mode with I2C_EN = HIGH expected?Is there any internal I²C block or biasing circuitry that coul

Hello,I’m currently working on NFC detection using the ST25R3917 with Felica.My system configuration is as follows:PC Application ⇔ USB to I2C ⇔ ST25R3917I’m running RFAL in the PC application and have extended rfal_platform.c to control the USB to I2C interface.The current sequence of operations is:1.rfalNfcInitialize();2.rfalNfcDiscover(&discParam);    memset(&discParam, 0x00, sizeof(discParam));    discParam.compMode             = RFAL_COMPLIANCE_MODE_NFC;    discParam.devLimit             = 1U;    discParam.nfcfBR               = RFAL_BR_424;    discParam.ap2pBR               = RFAL_BR_424;    memcpy(&discParam.nfcid3, NFCID3, sizeof(NFCID3));    memcpy(&discParam.GB, GB, sizeof(GB));    discParam.GBLen                =

Hi there,I'm designing a custom PCB using the STM32N657Z0 MCU. The design is extremely space-constrained, so I try to leave out everything I can. Since this deviates quite a bit from the reference design (well, the N6 Discovery kit, that is) I'd love to get some clarifications from someone from ST experienced with the N6 hardware side of things:1. I'm not using USB at all. What should I do with the USB power pins VDD33USB and VDDA18USB, can I just connect them to ground? Or leave unconnected? Are the tuning resistors OTG1_TXRTUNE and OTG2_TXRTUNE necessary when I don't use USB, or can I just leave these pins unconnected? I assume all other USB pins (data etc) can just be left floating.2. I do not use any external crystals or oscillators, can I just leave the OSC_OUT, OSC_IN, OSC32_OUT and OSC32_IN pins unconnected?3. I use an external regulator to supply the VDDCORE domain (instead of the internal SMPS). Am I understanding AN5967 and AN6000 correctly that in this case the pins for the

Hello STM32 developers,I'm using STM32CubeMX 6.14.1 and an STM32U5G7VJTx.When clicking :Generate Code" a Warning popup appears without comment.What can be the problem?I attached the ioc file.Thanks for helping out.

Hi,I am working on a project using STM32H757I-EVAL. I wanted to know what the model number of the microphone present in STM32H757I-EVAL. In the user manual, I could just find it as ST-MEMS digital microphones. Also, does it support external microphones? If so, how many can be used?

Hi everyone,I’m trying to implement LoRa point-to-point (P2P) communication using the stm32wle5ccu6.I configured the .ioc file based on the SUBGHz_Phy PingPong example for the NUCLEO-WL55JC1. Then, I wrote the code for LoRa transmission. On the receiver side, the only change I made was replacing:Radio.Send((uint8_t *)BufferTx, sizeof(BufferTx));withRadio.Rx(RX_TIMEOUT_VALUE);However, I’m still unable to successfully send or receive packets. On the transmission side, I keep getting a TX timeout.Could someone please take a look at my configuration and help identify where I might have gone wrong? If there are any other examples, guides, or documentation that I might have missed, I would really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.Thank you/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body **********************************************************************

Hi ,I'm working on a code to collect data from a load cell wit HX711 cip. I'm using STM32CubeIDE.I configured GPIO pin 6 as Clock output for the HX711 but when calling HAL_GPIO_WritePin the output pin PA6 does not change.The hardware configuration is set in CubeMX .I'm not even sure what information to provide.I reduced the code to only couple of lines ... I am writing code in C++ so I have a call of appMainC() that is declared as "extern C" as main() for my code. This may not influence our issue but I added it just for clarity.And I also have the timer ElapsedCallback function call ..I have changed 3 bluepill boards as I expected is a HW issue of the board but it the issue is the same on all 3.I also tried by setting outputs PA3 ... PA6 as pull-up but I still measured 0V on the outputs with the oscilloscope.Can anyone help with some idea on what could cause this issues? Or if I'm setting something wrong?I can provide any additional information ... this seem so basic I don't know

Hi,I'm a beginner in STM32.I tried to debug STM32F103C8T6 but it always fails I have changed the st link 5 times and everything is the same there is no change, I don't know what to do,.here are the errors and settings on my debugger  Open On-Chip Debugger 0.12.0+dev-00600-g090b431b1 (2024-09-13-19:14) [https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/OpenOCD] Licensed under GNU GPL v2 For bug reports, read http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html Info : Listening on port 64568 for tcl connections Info : Listening on port 62346 for telnet connections Info : STLINK V2J45S7 (API v2) VID:PID 0483:3748 Info : Target voltage: 3.210020 Error: init mode failed (unable to connect to the target)

We are currently using this chip and hope that this selection can be supplied for more than 10 years.May I ask how to retrieve such information?

It is my understanding from watching this video from ST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx7yWVi8kbUThat many STM32 chips come with a built in bootloader in ROM that can be accessed by pulling the BOOT0 pin high. However, I just took a couple of brand new STM32 blue pills out of the package and was not able to see the USB device enumerated, and when I opened STM32 Cube Programmer and select USB, it sees nothing and says "NO DFU DEVICE FOUND" The blue pills are a super basic board and have jumpers to pull BOOT0 and BOOT1 high, so I would think this would work. ST Application Note AN3156 says that the STM32 chip on this board support the DFU built in bootloader, so I'm not sure what's going on here. Anyone have any light to shed on this?

I am currently using the STM32F103C8 board, in this, I connect the OPTOCOUPLER  input to the PA6 PIN of stm32 which is the PWM pin, and at the output side I connect the optocoupler's output to the driver's 10v + pin and optocoupler's output with 10v - pin, and I also generate the PWM signal using timer 3 ,and in this i want to control the led brightness using the pwm dutycycle but this is not proper working . give me suggestions what should i do in this case?   this is the pwm initialization code void PWM_Init(void) {    // Initialization struct    TIM_TimeBaseInitTypeDef TIM_TimeBaseInitStruct;    TIM_OCInitTypeDef TIM_OCInitStruct;    GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct;        // Step 1: Initialize TIM3    RCC_APB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB1Periph_TIM3, ENABLE);        // Configure TIM3 base    TIM_TimeBaseInitStruct.TIM_Prescaler = 144;    TIM_Ti
