When trying to program the STM32L4P5RE, I get an assertion failure when trying to program the second bank like this:HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_DOUBLEWORD, address, data)This call fails if my address is in the second bank `0x08080000`.  Looking at the source code, I get an assertion failure here: static void FLASH_Program_DoubleWord(uint32_t Address, uint64_t Data){ /* Check the parameters */ assert_param(IS_FLASH_PROGRAM_ADDRESS(Address)); <---- HEREI understand when DBANK (Or DB1M) is set, we cannot read the other bank.  So how are we supposed to actually program it?

Hi all,I'm working on a BLE project on STM32WB5MMGHx module on each side (client and server). For the server side, I use CubeMX to generate almost all the code (pairing configuration, GATT service and characteristics, etc.). I managed to "bypass" some CubeMX generated using the USER CODE comment areas to do what I wanted. For the client part (more complex), I can only get a Custom P2P Client (this not what I want). Looks like I can't disable the Custom P2P Client (combobox disabled). So here is the questions :- How am I supposed to use CubeMX to create the BLE client with some custom code without bypassing 90% of CubeMX generated code (if possible...) ?- Should I create all the projet manually and integrate some CubeMX generated code (in another folder) by hand ?  Thx

Hello Community,I’m working on a custom board using the STM32G474VET3 MCU and encountering an issue with the ADC readings. I’m consistently getting a raw value of 4095 on all the ADC channels I’m using. It seems like something might be misconfigured, but I haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause.Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

Hi, guys,     I've bought STM32H745I-DISCO board to make an EtherCAT master, so I successfully employ EtherNet controller, USART3 for debugging but SPI2 has a problem. (I'm mostly novice fir H745)     I decided to use SPI2 for communication with external STM32F4xx controller, which exchanges 26 16-bit words with H745 board within 10kHz time frame, so it's a bit loaded communication. The attached picture renders the snapshot from logical analyser. 4 upper lines are SPI lines, other 3 lines are GPIOs used for debugging purposes - to show interrupt work.    The picture clearly shows that physical lines exchange data - I see expected 26 16-bit words from F4xx and data sent from H745 - in all cycles the picture is the same. But in reality I see only one time words from 4 to 22 in receive buffer (other appears to be zero), after that they are not updated at all. So receive is fault always. SPI2 is used in DMA mode via library function (code is below),

Hello, I am working with an STM32G4 microcontroller and noticed an unexpected behavior regarding Bit 20 (BFB2) in the User & Read Protection Option Bytes.According to the reference manual, BFB2 is a read-only bit. After performing an option bytes erase in Keil, I expected BFB2 to be cleared to 0 (default). However, after a system reset, I observed that BFB2 is set to 1.I would like to understand:Who sets BFB2 to 1 after an option bytes erase? Is this controlled by bootloader behavior, internal flash controller logic, or some default hardware mechanism?

I have two Nucleo boards that are connected with a CAN bus (Transceiver SN65HVD230). I would like to communicate with standard CAN, eight data bytes, data rate 50000 bit/s. For the F407 all TX & RX events are triggering (reused old working code) the CubeMX settings (HCLK 168 MHz, periphiral clk 42 MHz) are: The G431 is not working as expected, the CubeMX settings (HCLK 170 MHz, peripheral clocks 170 MHz) are: The G431 TX/RX interrupts are working only in external Loopback mode in normal mode nothing triggers. Some code for the configuration of the G431 CAN:   HAL_StatusTypeDef CAN1_Start(int8_t CAN_HW_init) { HAL_StatusTypeDef status; FDCAN_FilterTypeDef filterConfig; if(CAN_HW_init == 1) { MX_FDCAN1_Init(); } // Configure Rx filter filterConfig.IdType = FDCAN_STANDARD_ID; filterConfig.FilterIndex = 0; filterConfig.FilterType = FDCAN_FILTER_MASK; // FDCAN_FILTER_RANGE; filterConfig.FilterConfig = FDCAN_FILTER_TO_RXFIFO0; filterConfig.FilterID1 = 0x000; filter

Good afternoon community. I've been dealing with this problem for days and I can't find a solution. It turns out that I migrated to Ubuntu and had to install the STM32CubeIDE Software again. The error appears when I want to communicate to my STM32f072B board. It gives me two errors 1) "ST-LINK is not in DFU mode" and 2) "Unexpected flash size for ST.micro". As I was investigating, I cannot update the ST-LINK Firmware, it does not allow me. I have tried it on another computer, and the updates are done automatically by clicking on "update". But it doesn't allow me. I tried plugging it in with the RESET button pressed, but that didn't fix it either. I don't know where else to look to resolve this error that doesn't allow me to move forward. I hope someone from the community can help me. Thank you so much.

I'm trying to understand how the CSR register works. I though initially that the various reset reason bits are mutually exclusive. That turns out not to be the case. For example, I'm seeing SFTRSTF and PINRSTF together, and also BORRSTF with PINRSTF. I'm curious to know the possible combinations and what they mean.Looking at the reference manual, it looks like the bits *are* mutually exclusive, with exception of PINRSTF. This is presumably set because the other signals are ORed together and used to create a pulse on NRST. Is this reading of the manual correct? There is no PORRSTF in the CSR register. My guess is that a POR is signalled by having PINRSTF alone set. Is this correct? On a not unrelated topic, what is the minimum Vdd at which the flash can safely be written? I'm seeing ECC faults and flash corruption, which seem to be due to writing a flash log entry when the battery is almost exhausted. I want to mitigate against this by detecting BOR or another low voltage condition,

Dear..STI'm developing custom NFC PCB 4 layers 0.8mm based on 20x20mm main antenna example in STEVAL-25R200SA kit.I tried to use the components in BOM for EMC filter L 0402DF-421XJRW 420nH 510mOhm and adjust frequency to18MHz  and get EMC capacitor 186pF which is similar to the kit (180pF) I follow AN6065 as much as I understand. However I don't know the Antenna parameters, Q value, of the kit, so the matching L, C, R seems not the same as the kit. So if you have these parameters, or smith chart of the main 20x20mm antenna, please share to me.My application need very low power and the distance of the ST25DV64 tag and the reader is very close (5-10mm).I will try to tune antenna for lowest current consumption so that the reader still read the tag. Please advise Target Q, and Target matching Z, I should use with 20x20mm antenna. The supply for the ST25R200 is 3.3V(I read AN13219 from NXP as well, page 22 noted that Target Z 16 Ohm for 5V, 11 Ohm for 3.3V so I guess to reduce Targe

Hello! I want to build a simple application (such as UART messages, GPIO bit flipping, etc.), with the target being SR6G7, and run it on a custom board. For this reason, I wonder what kind of work I need to do? The StellarStudio development tool has now been downloaded. Is there any development guide for SR6G7? Thank you in advance!

I made a custom board using a C091KCT6. I assumed I would be able to figure out a way to display data in real time using printf. Unfortunately, I did not make provision to expose PA2 and PA3 (or indeed any pins other than the ones used by my board). PA2 is in any case in use as SPI1 MOSI. So I have pretty much accepted that I need to make a new custom board, and I am keen to ensure that I will be able to use printf this time!I believe that two good solutions are to buy the STLINKV3-SET and either a) re-design the board to expose the PA2 / PA3 UART to that ST-LINK or b) re-design the board with an MCU that has a SWO pin and expose that to the STLINK-V3.I would like two kinds of help, please: if I do not need to buy a new debugger or re-design the board, it would be great to hear how I can use printf with the setup I have, or avoid one of i) buying a new debugger and ii) re-designing the board. If I do need to buy a new de-bugger and re-design the board, it would be great t

This is not a question, but a solution to a problem that took me forever to solve. This may be evident to many, but it was not to me, soI hope this will save others (and my future self) a lot of time...I was trying to implement a custom bootloader, where I could not even get the minimal implementation working: a slowly blinking LED when doing nothing and staying in the bootloader, or a quickly blinking LED when jumping to a different application. The issue is that this is tricky for the STM32F030/070 on which I am developing, because it does not have a VTOR register and the few code examples I found did not work, or did jump, but interrupts stopped working. The bootloader only needs to jump to the new reset vector:#define APP_ADDRESS 0x08004000U void JumpToApplication(void) { __disable_irq(); if (*(uint32_t*)(APP_ADDRESS + 4) == 0xFFFFFFFF) { return; // invalid reset handler } uint32_t jump_address = *(volatile uint32_t*)(APP_ADDRESS + 4); void (*app_reset_handler)(void) = (

Hi,I am using a custom board based on P-NUCLEO-WB55 and started working from the example code BLE_p2pServer. The board will normally be in stop2 mode and will check for pushbutton press every 1 second. The current consumption is around 10 uA in this state. If push button is pressed for 3 or more seconds. The board enters the BLE mode. It is advertising the packets for a set time of 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I am exiting from the while loop. I am trying to stop the BLE mode and go to stop2 mode and continue the previous operation. Once i enter the BLE mode and exit out of BLE mode the current consumption is now 100uA. All other functionalities are working properly. If I press the push button for 3 seconds, The board enters BLE and starts advertising. I am trying to find out what is causing this increase in current. I don't want to reset the board every time I enter BLE mode. This is the following procedure I am using to exit out of BLE mode. hci_reset

Hi all,I'm trying to set up a new STM32H750 project. I've created quite a few projects using CubeMX in the past, so I'm familiar with the process. However, now I'm trying to start up a STM32H750 project, and I've very quickly run into an issue. In the Clock Configurator, some of the PLL settings are greyed out (DIVR1, DIVP2, DIVP3, DIVR3) and I can't edit them. I have HSE enabled, and have PLLCLK configured, but I don't know what else I might be missing. I'm using the latest STM32CubeMX (6.14.1) Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong?

Is there a reason and fix for why some MCUs chosen in the "MCU/MPU Selector" of STM32CubeMX start a project without issue but some fail with a message dialog?"Can't create [MCU part#] [package type] Project: error when loading [MCU part#].xml file"For me, "STM32C051C6Tx LQFP48" fails in this way. But "STM32C031C6Tx LQFP48" loads perfectly fine. Two machines, one Linux host, the other WSL, each running STM32CubeMX v6.11.1.

Dear ST community,I noticed that the CRC API is forcing the input buffer to be aligned 32 bits, which can be understood in order to be generic, but in the majority of the case we have a byte buffer which could be stored in unaligned in the memory or it's taken from frame where storage address is unaligned, till now it's not a problem we can cast (uint32_t *) and everything should work, except the case where the core of STM32 is Cortex M0 or M0+ so unaligned access is not supported and will lead to hard fault if the InputDataFormat is not selected to be CRC_INPUTDATA_FORMAT_BYTES .In my opinion the exposed API with forced aligned buffer can be an error prone, there is for sure a lot of workaround that can be applied but I could prefer to add to the API CRC_Handle_8 and CRC_Handle_16 to the exposed API, with that it will solve immediately the problem and remove any usage ambiguity.Maybe I'm wrong and I miss something.Best regardsBassem Taamallah

Hello.   I'm using SPC58NH-DISP, and trying to debug using AEK-MCU-SPC5LNKU(debugger) and UDE Starterkit 5.02.04. When I power on SPC58NH-DISP and check if USB driver is installed properly, I can find SPC58NH-DISP works fine and "PLS USB Serial Port" in Windows Device Manager. However, the following error message occurs. <error message> Message from component 'UDEDebugServer' :Unable to establish connection . To correct the situation, check configuration file entries and try again. Message from component 'PpcJtagTargIntf' :Can't connect target ! Message from component 'PpcJtagTargIntf' :No JTAG client found !Please check:- target power supply- JTAG cable connection- target configuration   It seems like the error occurs due to wrong target configuration. I'm curious about where the menu for target configuration is in UDE Starterkit and how to modify the target configuration for SPC58NH-DISP.   Thank you.

Good morning everyone, I have been trying for two days now to perform a communication between the two cores of STM32H747I-DISCO. Being my first time to try my hand at dual core Processors I decided to start from tutorials:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLcULDnF5ic- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miUzjoe3rAo&t=561s (Also the precendent videosAlthough I followed these tutorials step by step (without even changing the names to the variables) I could not get it to work at all.I then also tried with the "PingPong" example directly from STMCubeIDE but with both RTOS and bareMetal versions it didn't work...The only thing I can think of is that maybe I need to move some jumpers on the board or something....Thanks in advance to everyoneP.S.FW H7 Version 1.12.1STMCubeIDE Version 1.18.0STMCubeMX Version 6.13.0Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
