hi,CubeIDE MMT is not showing entire 320KB RAM_D1, but only 128KB AXI SRAM. The MMT .ld file also says this in a comment.1. Why is this done? 2. Anything I can do to make MMT show up entire RAM_D1?thanksMCU: STM32H723ZGT6Version: 1.18.0Build: 24413_20250227_1633 (UTC

I'm about to program a continously running DMA stream (using GPDMA1 (circularly))  in an STM32H503CBU6. But the start already fails. during the setup of the i2s->hdmatx pointer is zero causing the crash when it wants to get initialized.I'm in need of a running example with an I2S device configured with a continously running DMA write streamwith a length of 1 (32 word) to the I2S device. Help urgently needed, please.int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_GPDMA1_Init(); MX_ICACHE_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_I2S2_Init(); MX_TIM1_Init

Hi,I am using Clives loader for the STM32H with the correct pins etc but it never works in the STM IDE, so I thought I would follow controllertechs videos to try and make my own loader, that didn't work either, but I did verify all the QSPI parts reading/wriitng etc are working. I also learned a good test using the CubeMX Programmer (and that fails using my loader for a different reason) but, I then thought OK will test it with Clives and MX Prog, and that fails on verification when I try and load a 1MB test file. I have emailed Clive and he has been incredibly helpful already, but thought I would also ask in the community in case someone has a quick solution?

Hello,I am just trying to compile the example project GPIO_IOToogle_FSBL by using the STM32CubeIDE and firmware with its patch STM32Cube_FW_N6_V1.1.0.zip (i.e., en.stm32cuben6-v1-1-1 (patch).zip) and after following the instructions per "UM3249 - User Manual - Getting started with STM32CubeN6 for STM32N6 series" when I attempt to compile I started getting these errors: 08:42:09 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project GPIO_IOToggle_FSBL ****make -j16 allarm-none-eabi-gcc "D:/ST/SW/STM32Cube_FW_N6_V1.1.0/Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32n6xx_hal.c" -std=gnu11 -g3 -DDEBUG -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32N657xx -c -I../../../FSBL/Inc -I../../../../../../../../Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../../../../../../../../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32N6xx/Include -I../../../../../../../../Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/Legacy -I../../../../../../../../Drivers/CMSIS/Include -O0 -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections -Wall -fstack-usage -mcmse -MMD -MP

I have been using STM32N6 to conduct model training and deployment for the model zoo. Now, I want to transfer the generated code to my TouchGFX project for embedded use in the CubeIDE environment. However, when I am transferring several files, before the transfer, the original files did not have this error, but after the transfer, there is this error and it is particularly common, mostly for the official-generated code. As follows:  When these files are transferred： After the transplantation was completed, an error occurred： ./../../Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32n6xx_hal.h:893:1: error: unknown type name 'HAL_StatusTypeDef'; did you mean 'HAL_TIM_StateTypeDef'?893 | HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_SYSCFG_GetWriteQosNP1(uint32_t *pQosValue);| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| HAL_TIM_StateTypeDef../../../Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32n6xx_hal.h:895:1: error: unknown type name 'HAL_StatusTypeDef'; did you mean 'HAL_TIM_StateTypeDef'?895 | HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_SYSCFG_GetReadQo

Hello,I am having some trouble attempting to use the OEMuRoT tools/scripts to sign and encrypt my custom application built with CMake/Ninja. Application was generated using CubeMX and CMake project type was selected. Windows 11, STM32CubeProgrammer v2.19.0, though I am using Git Bash to run the scripts as I notice that e.g. there is a postbuild.sh but no postbuild.bat. I am using the -DK Discovery Kit eval board.I copied C:\Users\myuser\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_N6_V1.1.1\Projects\STM32N6570-DK\Applications\ROT\OEMuROT_Appli\STM32CubeIDE\postbuild.sh into my application folder.I modified env.sh so that the oemurot_appli_path_project uses a relative path to my application folder: oemurot_boot_path_project=Applications/ROT/OEMuROT_Boot oemurot_appli_path_project=../../../../../../_hmnhwi/customer/my_customer/this_project/workspace/my_applicationThen I modified the postbuild.sh script in my application so that the path to the provisioning directory is correct, with relat

Good day,I have stumbled upon an issue with my device's bootloader that seems to be inconsistent with the ST documentation. I have an STM32G031K8T6. USART1 RX and TX are connected to an RS-232 transceiver, which is then connected to my host PC using a USB-to-RS232 cable:[STM32G03x USART1] <----> [RS232 tranceiver (MAX3232 equivalent)] <---> [FTDI RS-232 USB cable] <---> [Host PC]I would like to use the bootloader to upload firmware to the device, over this UART link. Normally, this works just fine. However, I have observed that the bootloader will not respond if it receives invalid data before receiving the valid 0xF7. To reproduce "good" behavior:Create an empty boardApply BOOT0, and power on (bootloader mode).Connect to the COM port using TeraTerm, or some other serial terminal (57600, 8 bit, even parity, 1 stop bit)Don't send any dataDisconnect from TeraTermAttempt to connect to board using Stm32CubeProgrammer (UART, 57600, 8 bit, even parity, 1 stop bit)Conne

Which is the last version of STM32CUMX and STM32CUDIDE to run on Windows 7 with SP1?Thanks.

Greetings, I am using a Discovery Kit (B-U585I-IOT02A) and I want to use the LPTIM1 to wait 5 seconds (counting x ticks), at the end of the 5 seconds enter in a Callback to do something and then restart the counter again.I want to use as clock source the 32.768Khz crystal (LSE). So, I configured the LSE clock in the RCC section of the .ioc, then I set the LSE as clock source for LPTIM1, and activated the interrupts. At the main function, I used the HAL_LPTIM_TimeOut_Start_IT(&hlptim1, 16383) and used the void HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback (LPTIM_HandleTypeDef* hlptim) callback to do something. The callback is not being called, I measured the signal at the crystal, and I can't see any clock in it. I guess something's missing in the configuration but I have no clue what it is and I can't make it work. An helping hand would be appreciated.

Hello,For some reason I'm unable to get valid readout of internal MCU temperature. Maybe someone have an ide why this might be happening? System is running on STM32G0B0 MCU. I init ADC over HAL generated code and enable only internal inputs (`ADC_CHANNEL_TEMPSENSOR`, `ADC_CHANNEL_VREFINT` and `ADC_CHANNEL_VBAT`), after init I run ADC calibration which reports that it did it's job. but when I start to read temperature periodically - every minute, I see following results (these are raw values domming from DMA so I assume it is `temp`, `Vref` and `Vbat`):temp Vref Vbat 03B7 07E3 045B 050F 07E4 045D 0513 07E4 0460 0511 07E5 045B 0512 07E5 045B 0512 07E5 045A 0513 07E3 0457 0504 07E9 0481 0509 07E9 0488 0526 07EB 0497 0532 07ED 049C 051F 07EB 0499 0502 07E7 0482 0508 07E8 047B 050A 07E5 0475 0509 07E5 0470 050B 07E5 046F 050F 07E5 0470 050E 07E5 046D 050B 07E3 0467 0510 07E5 0466 0513 07E5 0465 0513 07E5 0466 050F 07E4 0467 0512 07E5 0464 050F 07E5 0463 0511 07E5 0464If I plot these values

Dear Team,I am completely new to Embedded systems.I am an analog design engineer.Decided to start my embedded learning with STM32.I bought  a nucleo-64 board. If you don't mind could you please guide me how do I start. I saw many training materials in ST website itself.Don't know which one will be best for a complete beginner. Can you please suggest the learning path and materials for each of these learning path.My final goal is to learn edge AI.RegardsHari

We are using the STM32U575RIT6 device and performed a RX/TX swap on LPUART1, ports PC0 and PC1. When we enabled the Swap TX is properly transmitting out of PC0. But we are unable to read anything on the new RX pin PC1. Other than enabling the pin swapping what else would need to be changed? Are there any known issues with the SM32u5 pin swapping?

After performing an OTA update, the Bluetooth icon appears as shown in Figure 1, but it does not display the "STM_OTA" name. The correct result should look like Figure 2.I followed the modification steps from this video, including adding the OTA Reboot Characteristic as shown:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRzZOa3jmuM&list=PLnMKNibPkDnG9JRe2fbOOpVpWY7E4WbJ-&index=9https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRzZOa3jmuM&list=PLnMKNibPkDnG9JRe2fbOOpVpWY7E4WbJ-&index=9The chip I’m using is STM32WB55CGU6, with FUS version v2.0, and ST BLE Toolbox version 1.4.4.The project has been uploaded in the attachment.

Hi,my company is currently evaluating usage of the IIS2DULPX accelerometer in one of the products we are developing. Our use case requires that a wake-up interrupt is generated whenever acceleration sample exceeds a set threshold value. However, we would like to generate this interrupt with a threshold that takes into account either:an absolute value of a data sample, or a difference between a sample and zero-g offset (interrupt generated when sample > threshold - zero-g offset)a difference between a data sample and a configured, constant reference value (interrupt generated when acceleration sample > threshold +/- constant reference value). We would like to do so while keeping the ODR at 400-800 Hz and the ability to configure threshold as a value in a full +/- 16g range. From the data sheet it seems that the wake-up feature is fed by an internal slope filter, making it impossible to use wake-up feature as I have specified above. Therefore, is it possible to either disa

Hello,I'm working on stm32h7 with the STM32CubeIDE IDE and I'd like to know how to make sure that when the debug starts it doesn't delete the whole program. Let me explain: in my flash memory I have data in a specific location and specific size that I've written via the program and that I want to keep. The problem is that when I launch the debug, it deletes the entire flash memory to write the new program. Is it possible not to erase a specific memory location?(I've tried with KEEP and NOLOAD in the linker script but it doesn't work).   thank you

Dear Team, May I know STM32WBA52CG support some basic AI/ML applications. We don't need controllers like STM32N6. If STM32WBA52CG supports some basic AI/ML can you please share some materials, applications notes or some examples where I can see some AI/ML application of STM32WBA52CG. Regards Hari

Hello, Often I need documentation of different components like datasheets.I usually use Google and end up on any datasheet website. In some cases, mainly searching old components, I found datasheets of bad quality, that seems bad photocopies.Has ST any public website where can download it's datasheets? Thanks

Good Day, Recently I started working with a new MCU (STM32L152). I ported some UART code to handle received data from a different MCU, which worked fine. But as soon as I started testing edge cases I saw some weird things happen. I am using the DMA on the receive, and I rely on the Idle interrupt to send data to a different buffer for processing. It seemed like the Idle interrupt would trigger correctly for the following:- data length < half buffer length - data length = half buffer length - half buffer length < data length < full buffer length -  full buffer length < data length  But it does not trigger for: - data length = full buffer lengthIt turns out in HAL_UART_IRQHandler (in stm32l1xx_hal_uart.c) there is a missing piece of code that enables this to happen. This code existed in the previous MCU's UART driver. I checked that I had the newest library downloaded for STM32L152. The piece of missing code is attached. /* * NOTE: This else was manually put

Hello! In the SPC58XX-RLA PWM-ICU Test Application for Discovery routine, I would like to ask which CH0 is circled in red as shown in the following figure, CH1... What do they represent? I have been confused whether eMIOS0 CH0 in the first image and Channel 0 in the Channel 0 Setting in the second image are the same channel. I hope you can give me an answer! Thank you!

Hi,I am implementing RS-485 communication on the STM32G491. Based on available references, I’m currently using a custom GPIO pin for the DE (Driver Enable) signal, since the default USART1_DE pin is already allocated for another function. In the RS-485 initialization API, there are three parameters: DE polarity, assertion time, and de-assertion time. Do these parameters have any effect when a regular GPIO is used instead of the hardware-controlled DE pin?I am using the below configuration for init.huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart1.Init.ClockPrescaler = UART_PRESCALER_DIV1; huart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_MSBFIRST_INIT; huart1.Adv

Hi Team,We have used LED1202 in our board where one LED driver is connected to Microprocessor and one LED driver is connected to MCU.We are seeing random LED channel damages (with LED driver which is connected to MCU) while device is in running state, and LED channel damage issue is random that any or all channels get damage which are connected to LEDs only. LED turns ON permanent which channel got damaged. We had debugged the operating voltage fluctuations, ground bounce effects but nothing happens during the LED channel failure. We have limited LED channel current to 6mA and using LED function as ON and OFF only. No PWM functionality os being used here.Could you please let us know what can be the root cause here behind LED channel damage?Thank you

Hi everyone,We're using the M95P32 page EEPROM and have encountered an issue where some devices stop responding after a period of normal operation. Initially, they function as expected, but after some time, communication fails.Specifically, after power-up, the first command we send is the JEDEC ID request. In the failing devices, this command consistently returns all zeros. We've also attempted to read the configuration and safety registers, but those return zeros as well. A software reset before sending the JEDEC command has no effect. This is an example of a failing JEDEC ID request (blue is MOSI, green is MISO and purple is CS)Interestingly, we discovered by chance that performing a quick power cycle—shutting down and immediately powering back up without allowing Vcc to fully drop to 0V—restores normal operation. This is an example of successful power up, you can see how the EEPROM responds in the green line. However, if Vcc is allowed to fully discharge before powering up again, the d

The new version of TouchGFX (V4.21.0, V4.21.1) displays the text of a Button With Label no more vertical centered. In the designer the text is shown correctly, but in the simulator and in the compiled controller application it is positioned too high.Is there a way to correct the position?Screenshot with TouchGFX 4.20.0Screenshot with TouchGFX 4.21.1

Hello, I am currently creating an inverter using STMC Board Designer, the MCU is STM32F407IGT6,the clock source is internal clock, here are some screenshots of my configuration, it was working fine until the inverter was generated successfully, and when I have everything ready to create the program, I get an error as shown in the picture below.I have version 6.4.0.I'm desperate to know why I'm getting this error, thanks.Best regards.{ "type": "inverter", "contentVersion": "1.0", "descVersion": 5, "name": "F407_72V300A_New", "PN": "F407_72V300A_New", "algorithmCompatibility": [ "FOC" ], "mcu": "STM32F407IGTx", "clockFrequency": 168, "motorDrives": [ { "name": "M1", "minRatedVoltage": 10, "maxRatedVoltage": 100, "maxRatedCurrent": 300, "features": [ { "type": "CurrentSensing", "name": "CurrentSensing", "tRise": 1, "hwVariants": [ { "signals": { "CURRENT_ICS_U": [ { "name": "PC2", "help": {}, "cost": 0 } ], "CURRENT_ICS_V": [ { "name": "PC3", "help": {},
