I'm trying to connect my STM32H743IGTX controller with JLINK using cubeprogrammerCLI. I am able to connect jlink with cubeprogrammer gui and able to flash. but when i tried using CLI it shows-------------------------------------------------------------------STM32CubeProgrammer v2.20.0-------------------------------------------------------------------Error: Could not connect to the J-Link/Flasher, Library not found !im trying to use external flash using my custom loader file generated from cubeide.the command i used is,/home/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin/STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=JLINK ap=0 sn=601003130 freq=4000 reset=SWrst -el /home/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin/ExternalLoader/XIP.stldr -w /home/project/build/test.hex 0x90000000 -v

Hi,I am facing issue with bootup in stm32h745xih6 controller. I am able to initiate debug for CM7 but when I initiate the same for CM4, in that case CM 4 does not go in debug and it fails and following error in there:<terminated>MOSv1.2_CM4 Debug [STM32 C/C++ Application]<terminated, exit value: 0>arm-none-eabi-gdb (14.2.90.20240526) <terminated, exit value: 18>ST-LINK (ST-LINK GDB server) Whereas same application runs perfectly fine on STM32h745i discovery board. So what could the issue be, could it be SW related or HW is at fault only?

Hi,I am trying to capture data from the IIS3DWB sensor at its maximum rate and save it into a buffer of length 8192 (due to internal RAM limitations). I'm using SPI with DMA to interface with the sensor. However, I'm not able to capture the data correctly — the X-axis shows incorrect values, while the Y and Z axes remain constant. I tested with another sensor, but the issue persists. The FIFO is configured to stream mode. I haven't detected any buffer overflows. I'm attaching the code and a CSV file for reference. SETTINGS: SPI clock-8MHz, iis3dwb stores data in FIFO in continuous mode with 26.67k ODR , 3-axis mode is used, timestamp batch to FIFO is on, BDU is on, 16G range mode is on, IRQ pin -not connected, using polling mode. can anyone give me solution. Thanks

Hi ,We need a clarification in the register values of LSM6DSL for configuring g values. Is this the correct values or is it a printing mistake where 16g is given as 01 ,should'nt this value be allocated to 4g .It would be appreciated if you can kindly clarify at the earliest.Thanking youRegardsGouri.k

Hi I created a new project in STM32CubeIDE, but in Project Manager → Project, the “Generate under Root” option is grayed out and cannot be changed. What’s the reason for this?

Hello,We made a custom pcb with STM32WLE5CC MCU, and with the IPD BALFHB-WL-05D3. You'll find in attachement the schematic. We use the STM32CubeWL software. We tries the same version on the nucleo and everityhing was going well, we could join with the nucleo (Nucleo WL55JC2) We would like some support to find out why we could not join the network, and why there is CRC error. Our Gateway is a Multitech MTCDT-H5-210L Firmware  5.3.8s-s1Thank you for your helpAnthonyEDIT : The problem came from the 32 MHz quartz, which had a slightly low frequency. We solved the problem with the internal capacity of the microcontroller

I bought the STM32H750B Discovery and wanted to program a first example "LTDC Paint" on the demo to start. I am using the STM32Cube IDE version 1.9 (default installation, no changes made).Procedure:- File -> New -> STM32 Project -> Examples -> select the Discovery Board -> select the LTDC Paint example -> Run LTDC Paint  Then I get the following error message, see attachment:"Failed to execute MI command.... Load failed ... LTDC_Paint.elf" Which configuration did I miss?

I installed the STM32Cube for Visual Studio Code extension, after which I downloaded STM32CubeMX, STMCUFinder and STM32CubeCLT_1.18.0 and linked them to the extension as seen below:I then opened STM32CubeMX, opened a project using the board NUCLEO-F746ZG, generated the code. The path of the project is: C:\Users\Public\VSCode_Projects\STM32\STM32_TestingHere are the files in the folder:In VS code, I click on "Import CMake Project" and I click on Import project option in the screenshot belowHowever, after that, the project does not open, and in the bottom bar VS code says "Importing project". The bar has been displaying that message for 2 hours now, yet a project hasn't opened. May I know what I could be doing wrong? Thanks!

Dear ST Team,We have recently completed production on our custom STM32MP255-based hardware. During validation, we encountered an issue with the Ethernet MAC address handling. We have successfully programmed the MAC addresses into OTP (via the NVMEM interface), and confirmed the values are correctly stored in the fuses (words 247–249). However, both U-Boot and Linux are not retrieving the MAC addresses from OTP automatically. Instead, we observe errors such as:Loading Environment from MMC... I'm proposing a design using the STGAP2DMTR, and I have the following questions:I) Where can I find a SPICE model of the IC to perform simulations?II) In the datasheet, it is recommended to use 1 µF and 100 nF capacitors for the input and outputs. I didn’t have those available, so I used a 220 µF electrolytic capacitor and a 47 nF polyester MKT capacitor (the small square type) instead. Unfortunately, my switches didn’t commutate :(. However, I’m not sure if the issue was caused by the incorrect capacitor values or by the PCB layout. I’m attaching the schematic and board layout images.III) I plan to replace the capacitors with the recommended ones anyway. In the datasheet, it is advised to use a 100 nF ceramic capacitor, but there’s no mention of what type the 1 µF capacitor should be. Can it be electrolytic, or is another type preferred?I really appreciate your help.

Hi, After configured the GPIO pins via STM32CudeMX and generated the code, when I run the firmware, the "WWDG_IRQHhandler()" problem keep appearing from no way and hinder me from the rest of the development. Please see the attached screen shoot picture. Even after I commented out the customize codes the problem didn't go away. Same problem seen on the P-NUCLEO-DONGLE too. I configured the MCU to support "USB HID + Zigbee".   Any help?

Hi, Please help me sort this out.I am trying to port a custom bootloader originally written for the SAMD21 Arm chip to the STM32U385VGT6. We are upgrading our current product with an STM32 Chip. I am having problems with switching from the bootloader to the application binary. My bootloader is loaded at address 0x08000000. The application binary is compiled to run from 0x08010000. I edited the linker script files to locate the binaries properly and tested opening the binary file with a hex editor. All seems situated correctly. Here is my function to jump to the application. APP_CODE_START is set to 0x08010000. I get "jumping to application" in my debug terminal. But the application code is not running.  void jumpToApplication(){    DEV_DEBUG_LOG("jumping to application");     // Disable interrupts before changing MSP and VTOR    __disable_irq();    // Jump to the sketch     __set_MSP(*((uint32_t *)APP_CODE_START

Hi Dear Sir,I am using linux6.6.48 (with st patch)based on stm32mp135d,I trying to setup DMA2D but cannot find correct dts setting. and I can see the dma2d driver is supported in this kernel. but how to config dma2d in dts ?please help. thank you very much.

Greetings, I'm trying to set up Visual Studio Code to work with STM32 microcontrollers. I've installed the STM32 VS Code Extension, as well as CubeCLT, CubeMX, and FINDER as requested, all with the correct versions to ensure functionality. I've also defined the correct paths. However, the issue I'm facing is that it doesn't detect the workspace libraries like those in CubeCLT, nor does it seem to find the compilation path. I'm encountering many errors. I've tried including absolute paths in c_cpp_properties.json, and some of the issues seem to be resolved, but I've tried a bunch of addresses and not all of them are fixed. It doesn't recognize uint36_t or GPIO defines. Does anyone know what might be happening?

Hi,Currently my STM32F767 is coming up in dual bank mode (I'm not sure why, since this does not seem to be the default) but I want to turn this off so I get the full 2Mbytes.However, I can see from AN4826 that if I turn off dual bank mode while the software is running, it's likely to crash because the flash width changes from 128 bit to 256 bit.I thought there would be a way to set the bank mode in CubeIDE, but I cannot find it anywhere. If I use CubeIDE to program an image into flash, then that seems to effectively limit me to dual bank mode and only 1Mbyte of flash. Can you advise me how I can turn off dual bank mode so that the image is programmed in by CubeIDE as a single-bank image?RegardsRobin Terry

This (DMA_STR0_IRQHandler) won't, but this (DMA1_Stream0_IRQHandler) is work-fine.Clearly, the naming and cases are different, but these two handlers are part of startup file, were generated from two different projects options (Empty and Cube MX) for the same MCU (STM32H723).Project-generated option: Cube MX.word DMA1_Stream0_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream 0 */.word DMA1_Stream1_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream 1 */.word DMA1_Stream2_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream 2 */.word DMA1_Stream3_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream 3 */.word DMA1_Stream4_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream 4 */.word DMA1_Stream5_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream 5 */ Project-generated option: Empty.word DMA_STR0_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream0 */.word DMA_STR1_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream1 */.word DMA_STR2_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream2 */.word DMA_STR3_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream3 */.word DMA_STR4_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream4 */.word DMA_STR5_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream5 */.word DMA_STR6_IRQHandler /* DMA1 Stream6 */I encountered this in the past and solved it by unif

Please read this post: How to insert source code Issue:I'm using STM32H742, and I'm currently using timer3 (TIM3) to give a signal over CLK 50MHz to PC4 pins. However, when the code is written as follows, the period is not increasing beyond 680 kHz.The pin frequency speed is also set to VERY_HIGH. The system clock is set to 480 MHz, and the AHB and APB Timer CLOCK are also set to a maximum of 240 MHz.When you adjust the prescaler, period, and pulse values of the TimerIt has been confirmed that the period increases gradually up to prescaler = 0, period = 99, and pulse = 51, but as the period decreases gradually, the cycle change of PC4 is not large and the value decreases. In this case, prescaler = 0, period = 99, pulse = 51, one cycle of PC4 is 680 kHz.And when I toggle PC4 from the callback function, it doesn't come out as a cyc

Heyho, just checking the L162 for a new project, then found that the ADC can only be clocked by the HSI.Is that correct? If yes, why?My experience with HSI (and other RC-oscillators) is that it is "mediocre" at best, rather inaccurate and jitters like crazy. Although this might not be a big issue with a 12-bit ADC.Merci!

Hello.I developed a Screen with TouchGFX Designer 4.24.2.In this Screen I put a ScrollList. Is there a way to force the ScrollList to scroll at specific item position ? For example I want to force ScrollList to scroll at the item position that has index = 20 ... is there a way ? Thankyou in advance.

For background see:  https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubemx-mcus/stm32cubemx-6-2-1-for-nucleo-h745zi-q-doesn-t-generate/m-p/226159/highlight/true#M10675In many embedded systems most peripherals are off most of the time, for power saving, and they are enabled only when needed.  When CubeMX moves peripheral clock configuration from the MSP file of the HAL peripheral to PeriphCommonClock_Config() it makes this behavior harder to achieve.  Is there an option to tell CubeMX to leave clock configuration in the HAL MSPs rather than creating the shared function ?

Dear esteemed members,I am designing a Bluetooth based small headset kind of application, which will be capable ofreceiving audio stream, streamed through a device like mobile or any other.also need to control few GPIO with mobile, command will be sent over Bluetooth.also looking for Broadcast mode, so that multiple such headset will be receiving the same stream in future designs.Kindly let me know about the sameWarm RegardsPreet

hello~~NUCEO-stm32h563zi external loader => data read failed. I attaching ld file and source file.let me know how  to solve. please thanks

Hello,I’m working on a project with the STM32WB55 where I use BLE (which is working fine) and also want to use the RTC Calendar. The project was generated with STM32CubeMX, RTC is using LSE.The problem:The RTC calendar runs, but its time counting is incorrect.Instead of incrementing one minute (60 seconds), it only increments 4 seconds per minute. What I tried:In app_conf.h, in the section with RTC-related macros, I modified CFG_RTCCLK_DIVIDER_CONF to different values (16, 8), but the issue remains the same.In main.cpp, during RTC initialisation:hrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = CFG_RTC_ASYNCH_PRESCALER; hrtc.Init.SynchPrediv = CFG_RTC_SYNCH_PRESCALER;I tried replacing these macros with explicit values (i.e. 127 and 255 which works on STM32L4), but the result did not change. Has anyone experienced this before on STM32WB55? Any guidance or hints would be greatly appreciated.

I am using STM32H723 and have implemented WWDG. Below is my configuration:  Are there possibility that when the system resets due to watchdog it would not trigger its ISR.
