Solved

Posted on February 16, 2017 at 10:57Hi ! I want to use STM32L071C8T with 64kbyte flash. But when I see the datasheet, there is 2 bank (32kb each) in the flash and if I am not using dualboot, program is read in bank1. But I am wondering that, if my program is 50kbytes, is there a problem for the STM that some of the program is in bank2 ? Or my whole program need to stay in only one bank ? (I am not using dual boot)Thanks.#flash

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 05:39 I have a custom LCD that I am trying to drive with theSTM8L052C6. I have tested the LCD with 2 other MCUs and it works fine. However, when I try to drive it with the STM8, it is very dim and almost not visible. I probed the pins on another MCU that works and compared it with the STM8 trying to drive it. This image shows the STM8 vs a working MCU. For some reason, the STM8 will drive to the correct voltage briefly then will drop. I'm not sure what could be causing this. I have tried to change parameters in almost every LCD related register. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I've been stuck on this for quite some time. Here's my code to test the LCD: CLK_CRTCR = 0b00000100; //RTC(LCD) uses LSI clock, Div CLK by 8 CLK_ICKCR |= 0b100; //Turn on LSI clock while(!(CLK_ICKCR & 0b1000) ); CLK_PCKENR2 |= 0b1100; //Enable clk to LCD. 0b1100 AND RTC LCD_CR1 = 0b110; //Set Blink off, 1/4 duty cycle, 1/3 bias LCD_CR2 = 0b11101110; /

Posted on February 02, 2017 at 16:26Dear all,I'm using a STM32 NUCLEO-L073 together with NUCLEO-NFC03A1.and we want to read and write data to the tag RF37S113 Tag-it from TI.This tag is compliance with ISO 15693.I can successfully detect the TAG, but that's all. I can't write data to the tag.I used the following seuqence:>>.. represents data to CR95HF in hexadecimal<<.. represents data from CR95HF in hexadecimalProtocolSelect   >> 02 02 0109   << 00 00ISO15693_init   >> 09 04  680101d1   << 00 00Inventory   >> 04 03  26 01 00   << 80 0d  00 00 7a 0f a1 66 e7 c0 07 e0  d389  00   According to chapter 4.1 of iso 15693-3 MSB is 'e0', everything seems correctWriting (01 02 03 04 into block 0) (UID is left, according to iso 15693 this is optional)   >> 04 07  02 21 00 01 02 03 04   << 80 05  01 03 04 24 00&n

Posted on February 14, 2017 at 00:23I am using the ST iso19653 and CR95HF software libraries in my application and by following the example set in the M24LRXX code I can make an inventory of a single tag. I want to be able to regonise more than 1 tag in the field and have tried using the 16slot inventory command but this returns with an error. As there are no worked examples for the detection of multiple tags I am not sure how to set up the mask length and mask parameters.

Posted on February 13, 2017 at 18:23Hello!NUCLEO-F767ZI lost in STM32CubeMX 4.19.0 while it was introduced in 4.18.0.I have installed STM32CubeMX as standalone (on a different computer) and as a plugin for Eclipse (as update) - the same result: NUCLEO-F767ZI missing. What happened?Regards,Dmitrij#stm32cubemx

Posted on February 01, 2017 at 18:02HiBy writing a program for very simple one channel ADC I faced with very strange behawior of the ADC in my MCU. During tests of the A/D converter, I read Vrefint (channel 17). If very shortly after calibration, about 1 second, I do the A/D conversion, everything is OK, I have correct value. In case I wait for a few seconds (more then 4 seconds) result is wrong. If I do second read very shortly, less then 4 second, I got correct result. If I do reading every second, the results are OK except first one. Note that incorrect value always is 2048 decimal (very strange). In case I do reading two different channels effect is the same. This mean that I always have to do two conversions to have correct value or to do readings non-stop for all the necessary channels even if I don't need it.In the attachment are flowcharts for ADC calibration, setup and conversion. I need to know what I'm doing wrong.Note that clock source for the ADC is HSI at 4

Posted on February 09, 2017 at 19:42When I run aci_hal_write_config_data() as a first command after BlueNRG-MS reset, I get ERR_CMD_SUCCESS. But when I call getBlueNRGVersion() first, then I get ERR_COMMAND_DISALLOWED from aci_hal_write_config_data(). What is the reason? How checking BlueNRG-MS version can affect any other command?#command #version #aci #bluenrg-ms

Posted on February 10, 2017 at 07:20Hello, I'm trying to write an I2C slave using HAL which can accept variable length packet sizes.  I know this question has been asked before but haven't seen any solutions yet! The master can send data packets of variable length - all the HAL I2C methods seem to need a 'length' parameter.  Has anyone found a solution to this?#i2c #hal

What's the differences between them?Where can I find these information on the datasheet? Thank you!#st-link #stm32

Posted on January 12, 2017 at 01:57Upgrading from 4.17 to 4.18 has silently removed the selection of external triggers from ADC2 on an F303RE. Not only are the selections missing from the generated code, the option in the UI is missing as well.Manually patching the generated 'main.c' file fixes the problem but it means that each time I regenerate the code I have to remember to hack it.I would also question the operation of the EOCSelection field as the UI allows 'ADC_EOC_SINGLE_SEQ_CONV' to be chosen but the HAL code itself says '/*!< reserved for future use */'#cubemx #adc

Posted on January 26, 2017 at 13:31Hello, we are having problems with communicating to sensor LSM9ds1tr via SPI with sm32l011k4 mcu. The problem is that SPI seems to work good and looking with logic analyzer proves that everything is okey, we are seeing exactly the same thing as mcu reads. We are trying to read the WHO_AM_I register of accelerometer/gyroscope and magnetometer and for some reason we read wrong values compared to the datasheet. According to the data sheet, then reading ACC/Gyro  WHO_AM_I register the value should be 0x68 and then reading Magnetometer WHO_AM_I register the value should be 0x3D. However, when reading these, we always get 0x40 when reading accelerometer/gyro register and we always get 0x38 when reading magnetometer WHO_AM_I register. Could anyone help us to solve the problem and point out what we are doing wrong? I attach the schematics of the sensor, spi initialization code and our reading function + snapshots from logic analyzer. /* * @brief: f

Posted on December 13, 2016 at 01:06Hi All, I am developing device to analyze vibration with LIS2DE12 acceclerometer.I have encountered problem that sensor did not work with ORD=5.3kHz, it worked fine for all other ODRs.How to configure sensor to work ODR=5.3kHz ?My configuration is as followsCTRL_REG1 : 0x97CREL_REG3 : 0x10 CTRL_REG4 : 0x10All other registers are default. My expected processing steps are as follows1. INT1 pin is enabled when sensor data is ready2. MCU got INT1 signal, send event to handle interrupt3. interrupt handler read sensor data.As I have measured, the period of INT1 signal is around 1.3kHz please take a look at my configuration and let me know anything to check. Posted on February 08, 2017 at 10:22Hi,I am trying to capture external events on a GPIO pin PC.9 using TIM3 CH4 input capture. I cant understand why I am not getting TIM3 CC4 events with the TIM3 interrupt. Spent a bit time pulling my hair over the issue, but unable to find the problem. Interesting to note was that I was able to get it working with TIM1. But for my understanding purpose, I would like to have it working with TIM3.Attached code of what I am doing.Any idea, what could be wrong ?Thanks,#tim3-input-capture

Posted on February 07, 2017 at 14:59Hi All,I am new to the STM32 platform and as such I am playing around with sensors to gain some experience. I am using Atollic Lite and CubeMX to ease the learning curve.I am having a problem communicating over SPI with an MPU-9250 IMU -  All I want to do right now is read the WHO_AM_I register and as such I am using the HAL_SPI_Transmit(), HAL_SPI_Receive() and HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive() functions. Here is a screen grab from my logic analyser:- The first clock burst is a HAL_SPI_Transmit() to write data.- The second  and third clock bursts is a HAL_SPI_Transmit() and HAL_SPI_Receive() to read a registers data.- The fourth and fifth clock bursts are a HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive() to read the same register data as in the previous burst. As you can see, there is no response on the MISO line when data requests are made. This is my problem and for the life of me I cannot find the issue. I have a feeling is is a configuration issu

Posted on February 07, 2017 at 10:44Hello,we are developed products based on STM F0 (F072RB) and F4 (F405VG) Series. We use the DFUSe Bootloader to program our devices using USB. Every thing works as expected, great job and thanks to ST for this solution. The problem:Now we implementing a new product base on the STM32L072KB (128k Flash).I set the device to DFU mode, it enummerates on USB as expected and it gets listed in the Dfuse Demo (v3.0.5).The Dfuse Demo lists 1536 sectors (128 b per sector) for the controller.I wase a bit confused as the device had only 128k flash so the demo should list 1024 sectors. I tried to readback the device memory an it seems that the application fails. The dfu files read from the controller is just 1K, it seems that the erase function didn't work and the leave DFU command also seem to fail.I also tried my own c♯ libs to read from the device. These libs work perfectly on the F0 and F4 with a r/w blocksize of 256 byt

Posted on February 06, 2017 at 09:07HiI'm using the STM32F401RE Nucleo board, I have noticed that the internal clock HSI has a quite high inaccuracy over temperature and it's not suitable for my application.I want to use an external clock for the board but I don't know how to properly install and configure the external clock? And in STM32Cubemx, when selecting SMT32F401RE Nucleo board, in 'Clock Configuration' tab, it's not possible for choosing the HSE clock, only HSI clock available.Any example on how to use external clock source would be great for me.Thanks#external-clock #stm32f401-nucleo #stm32f4 #stm32
