Posted on May 08, 2018 at 07:31Hi,I'm testing the demo on your website designed by itself.STM32Cube_FW_F2_V1.7.0\Projects\STM322xG_EVAL\Applications\USB_Device\CustomHID_Standalone,After the target code is downloaded to the board, the device manager displays as shown in the attachment.it is mean that Unknown usb device.

Posted on May 07, 2018 at 03:30HiI've been using STM32F407VG for a long time. Today i got an error when i plug in my laptop and i can not solve this problem over 8 hours. When i connected the STM to PC, the error message was USB Device Not Recognized - Error Code 43. We tried a lot of ways to fix the error such as STM, enter device manager uninstalled and reinstalled. While i pressed the reset button, i tried to load the code on Keil v5, but the two error messages were no ST-LINK detected (Debugger - Cortex-M error) and flash download failed target dll has been cancelled.  I have tried to do it on the board some SWD pins, i tried to do cirtcuit close with jumpers#st-link-detected-administrator #usb

Posted on May 08, 2018 at 19:44Is there somewhere a better description about this feature, than there is in the f070 reference manual? Maybe an example?I don't quite seem to understand how it's supposed to work. Or does CubeMX handle it somehow incorrectly?Could it affect DMA somehow?I have two USARTs in use, both using similar DMA (mostly shared code). The other one is typical RS232 and the other is RS-485 (really RS232 with DE-signal, the line driver is not yet used). The typical RS232 works fine, but the RS-485 doesn't seem to have receive DMA enabled.#uart-dma #usart2 #rs485 #stm32f070xb

Posted on April 17, 2018 at 15:34HelloI am starting a new project in which I have to use a RS4785 communication and this time,  I'd like to do it well. The problem is the following:If I want to receive a frame with UART using DMA, I need to call HAL_UART_Receive_DMA function. This function needs to have the 'size' parameter to know the amount of data to be received. Unfortunately, the size of data being received is unknown. The protocol I am using is MODBUS and it assumes that an end of frame can be detected is there is a silence time (three times the delay of 1 byte) detected. My question is the following: how can I automatically stop the reception process when this silence time is detected so that my HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback callback can be called? Is there any flow control function I can use with UART to control the DMA?

Posted on May 08, 2018 at 16:38HIIm using Nucleo144 L4R5ZI board, using CubeMX i have generated the code to enabling the LPUART1 which the ST-Link is enabled for virtual COM port. when i just took a simple private variable im trying to see the message on lpuart1 using HAL_UART_Transmit, nothing is being displayed. Tried Debugging it halts the system on HAL_Init().May be with the code generated or so??When i tried with the example provided for the board,PWR/PWR_ModesSelection/Src it works fine, more over this code uses _GNU-...putchar ....redirecting to UART......and making the printf enable. But i tried the basic way of getting the message on virtual COM port.May be something missing in the code which is generated by CubeMX.ThanksPhanirajkiran#cubemx

Posted on April 18, 2018 at 06:00Hi,I feel like I've been through the reference manual a million times, but I cant figure out how to get my project into low power mode.I'm driving a LCD screen with a counter on it. I have two external switches to wake up count up and down. And I'm using timer4 to hopefully wake up periodically and do some work. I need two low power modes, one with the LCD on and it just wakes up to handle a button press or a timer4 timeout. The other low power mode will turn off the LCD and will only wake up on a button press. It needs to wake up and not reset because I don't want to lose count on the LCD.To save power I'm running off LSI clock.  Code below. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to STM8main(){   CLK_CKDIVR = 0b0; //Div clock by 1  CLK_SWR = 0x02; //Sys clock is LSI (38kHz)  CLK_SWCR |= 0x2; //Tell system to switch clocks to one defined in SWR  while(CLK_SWCR & 1);  CLK_ICKCR &= 0b11111110; //HSI

Posted on May 07, 2018 at 18:26Hi,Is there any doc mention about STM32L4 (STM32L4996 and STM32L4A6) ISR source? The doc I found from both ST and ARM reference manual do seems list all of the ISR source. Thanks,****Note: this post was migrated and contained many threaded conversations, some content may be missing.

Posted on May 08, 2018 at 20:36Hi,I have a STM3221G-EVAL board with the STM32F217IGH6 and am trying to program over CAN. I checked the revision code on the chip to see what version bootloader it has and found it was a revision '2' chip. I can't find any information though on what bootloader is on these chip revisions and whether it supports programming over CAN.. I could only find an errata sheet for this revision. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 10:58Hello, I'd like to know if there is a 'magical' way to syncronize the bit stream with the channel signal in the i2s receivers. I don't have control on the external stream ( slave mode), so the serial clock is free running, and the only way I've found to use the interface is to wait for the correct time to enable it.Perhaps there is some way to do it using the receiver but I've been unable to find it.If this is a 'feature', perhaps it would be wise to modify the silicon on next iterations/products to allow for an automatical way to sync the receiver with the data stream.Thank you very much.Albert #i2s #stm32f407 #sync

Posted on May 08, 2018 at 12:39I can't choose the STM32F413 neither from MCU selector nor from Board Selector (NucleoF413) in CubeMX as new project. The Check Update Manager reports all software is up to time.

Posted on March 24, 2018 at 14:24The user manual mentions using one 88% reflectance target and 17% reflectance target for calibration. I don't know what material has those reflectance values. What exactly should I use for calibration and where can I get those?

Posted on May 07, 2018 at 20:19Hi.I was just programming my stm32f217 board via serial wire interface and everything was ok, but when I wanted to program once more the message ''No target connected''displayed and it didn't program my MCU anymore. But when I use IAR to program stm8 it works. What is the problem?I tried updating the firmware but the message bellow displayed that I don't know what it is.

Posted on April 10, 2018 at 12:25Hi,I'm building an UHF RFID reader using ST25RU3993 and I have a problem reading the registers. The idea is to connect the IC to NodeMCU or Arduino (both are programmed using Arduino IDE at this stage).I connected MISO to MISO and MOSI to MOSI (Im assuming there is an error in the datasheet Figure 3 p.15)After enabling the IC (EN = 1) and waiting 1 second I try to read registers, but the IC does not respond to my SPI messages. I can see NCS, CLK and MOSI signals on the oscilloscope, but the MISO is always LOW. My code reads registers 0x00 to 0x24. The SPI was set to MODE1 (NodeMCU outputs data on rising edge and captures it on Falling edge as instructed in the datasheet p.15).I tried different frequencies: 1kbps, 100kbps, 1Mbps, 2Mbps and 5Mbps.According to the datasheet the IC should be in NORMAL mode and therefore the SPI communication should be possible after enabling the device.I also see voltages at some of the pins (voltage regulators) so the de

Posted on December 07, 2016 at 17:15Hi ST,You have this site: http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/about/events/events.html/stm32cube-basics-online-course-with-hands-on-exercises-a.htmlHowever, I never received log-in details after registering for this. Are you still running this course? If so, how do I get my login? If not, where is the best place to learn CubeMX?

Posted on May 05, 2018 at 01:12I'm currently working on an STM8L052C6 project, and am looking to set up some interrupts on Port C pins. Looking at the pin description in the datasheet http://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm8l052c6.pdf, it appears that Port C pins should be capable of being configured as external interrupts. However, looking at the interrupt table from the same document does not show any entry for Port C. However, it does contain entries associated with Port G and H, both of which do not exist on this particular package. So it appears there is an error in the datasheet. With this in mind, is configuring Port C pins as external interrupts possible on the STM8L052C6 chip? If so, what is the proper IRQ number to use?#interrupts #stm8l052c6

Posted on January 12, 2018 at 12:46Hello,I am trying to implement a long 1D capacitive touch slide sensor or around 7 or more separate capacitive touch buttons using STM32F103. I read that the touch sense library is not available for F103. Is this correct? Does the F103 lack touch functionality? Does ST provide any means of implementing touch sensing with F103?On Github / the net, I find an implementation for STMDuino, but no implementation in C using the current HAL or LL environment. What other libraries or examples of touch buttons for F103 are available or easy to port?Thank you & regards,Christoph#capacitive-touch

Posted on May 03, 2018 at 21:38Hi,I know it's rather a question to Keil but maybe someone came across this issue. The uVision cannot find STM32L496ZGTxP MCU when the IDE starts.  The current DFP is 2.0.0 (2017-10-06).I ignored the warning and successfully compiled simple program. It seems I have no access to peripherals during debugging session. The project skeleton was generated using CubeMX 4.25.0Keil uVision 5.25. I have not found never Device Pack than 2.0.0

Posted on May 02, 2018 at 18:10Hello,I have a question regarding a note in the datasheet of the LIS3DH accelerometer:I want to use the accelerometer LIS3DH for one of my application with the following specifications:- The accelerometer is supplied at 1.8V (in compliance with datasheet).- The functions to be achieved are: orientation detection and  provide temperature.I saw the following note in the datasheet:'The product is factory calibrated at 2.5 V. Temperature sensor operation is guaranteed in the range 2 V - 3.6 V.'What those that means? The temperature sensor is not working when the accelerometer is supplied at 1.8V ?Thanks for your help.#accelerometer #lis3dh #temperature-sensor

Posted on May 02, 2018 at 20:48I'm using the gate mode TIM scheme as detailed in the reference manual:TIM3->CCMR1 |= TIM_CCMR1_CC1S_0; /* (1)*/ TIM3->CCER |= TIM_CCER_CC1P; /* (2) */ TIM3->SMCR |= TIM_SMCR_SMS_2 | TIM_SMCR_SMS_0 | TIM_SMCR_TS_2 | TIM_SMCR_TS_0; /* (3) */ TIM3->PSC = 0; /* (4) */ TIM3->ARR = 65000; TIM3->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_CEN; /* (5) */This works perfectly for channel 1.Now I'm trying to dynamically change channels, and I can't seem to wrap my head around the masks.I've tried a number of register masks, likeTIM3->CCMR1 |= TIM_CCMR1_CC2S_0 | TIM_CCMR1_CC1S_1; /* (1)*/and TIM3->CCMR1 |= TIM_CCMR1_CC2S_0; /* (1)*/But I haven't been able to get the input to switch..sorry for such a stupid question, I'm sure there's something in the reference manual that I'm missing.#input-capture-mode #tim #timer-gated #tim-pwm

Posted on May 02, 2018 at 03:43The TIM2 timer on an STM32F0 seems to not be resetting to 0 once the counter reaches the ARR value on occasion. I am periodically changing the ARR value, but the values are all in a small range. After a random amount of cycles, the counter will increment beyond that range without triggering an update event, resetting the counter back to 0. I have tried this with and without TIM_CR1_URS set. TIM_CR1_UDIS bit is in the reset state. Anyone else run into this problem?

Posted on May 03, 2018 at 22:48I have a problem with STM32F437, USB OTG Library 2.2.0  and USB HS with embedded PHY, CDC device.First enumeration never pass in the right way (see the attached file). After unplugging and plugging the cable, everything is OK.I'm using Windows 10 and in the MCU, USB sensing is not used. One ugly solution is to reset the HS OTG peripheral after first connection and reinit it again.Any idea?#cdc #stm32f437 #usb_otg

Posted on April 29, 2018 at 16:15Hi,I'm having trouble working with ST25R3911B while its connected to a Raspberry Pi.My need is to have a program that can read/pool on the ST25 to read RFID tags if they are present.I've downloaded the ST25 SDK and created a Java application according to the provided examples, compiled successfully. The problem is that the libraries provided with the SDK for Linux are 64 bit, while RPI are arm32v7, not arm64.At first, I got the following exception:Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: You have loaded library /usr/lib/libhidapi-libusb.so which might have disabled stack guard.
