Posted on June 30, 2018 at 04:28Hello (I am new to ST and SPC5Studio)I just used the SPC5Studio Application Wizard to import the SPC56ELxx_RLA ADC Test Application for DiscoveryPlus and when I tried to generate it it showed the following error:Error: Cannot load configuration file 'L/SPC56ELxx_RLA ADC Test Application for DiscoveryPlus/configuration.xml':/SPC5-Config/application/instances/instance[7]/pit_settings/channel_0/frequency: Required Field.I tried repeating the process with the SPC56ELxx_RLA CAN Test Application for DiscoveryPlus with similar results. I can see a small 'x' in front of the configuration.xml file in the project explorer in both cases.I really appreciate if someone could help me with this.Thanks!#cannot-load-configuration-file

Posted on June 30, 2018 at 23:23Hello,I have a custom PCB with a STM32F042F4P6.The STM32 keeps resetting at a rate of 2.5 Hz. I measured this with a scope on the NRST pin.After a long search i found out that the IWDGRSTF flag is set after each reset. This is strange, because i never enabled the IWDG or WWDG in CubeMX v4.23. I also do not see anything about a set up of a watchdog in the generated code. Further, after i erase the chip in ST-Link utility, the STM32 is still resetting (at a constant rate of >600hz).NRST pin is pulled up on the PCB with an 43k ohm resistor.Attached a screenshot of the IWDG and the CSR register.What I tried so far: I Striped down my PCB; I removed the external oscillator and other IC's.I soldered a brand new STM32 on my PCB (couple of times)In CubeMX i made the most basic configuration possible.I swapped the pull up resistor for a 4.7k and 10k resistor.But still the STM32 keeps resetting..Is there something i overlooked?Many thanks,Thomas#clock #pll

Posted on July 08, 2018 at 12:14Hi,As we know peripherals can have callback functions such as the below one for the PWM:void HAL_TIM_PWM_PulseFinishedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) {}This is something like a general callback, But if we have several enabled PWMs or ADCs or similar, then how these could be differentiated by the callback functions to be fired just by the one we like, or for the time we like to have several callbacks, one for each. is that possible?

Posted on July 07, 2018 at 14:54Hi,I was previously working on an stm32f429 MCU and successfully jumped to internal SRAM using:__HAL_SYSCFG_REMAPMEMORY_SRAM();I've ported my code to a new STM32F777 system and have realized the above function does not exist. Apparently the SYSCFG register does not have an option for remapping to internal SRAM.How can I remap to interanl SRAM in STM32f7 MCUs? Do I have to program the BOOT_ADD0 & 1 registers and perform a soft reset?

Posted on February 13, 2017 at 15:59What does the TEMP_COMP bit in CTRL_REG1_M of the magnetometer do?  Do the offsets need to be programmed for it to work?We are seeing up to 10 degree heading variations when moving the temperature from 10C to 30C, and need to find a way to correct for it.

Posted on January 08, 2018 at 12:53Dear All,about this device I'm try to better understand the sensitivity parameters, from the datasheet, using the device at ±2.0g (FS bit set to 000) we must have a Sensitivity of 0.06 mg/digit, hence the number of digit should be: ±2.0/(0.06*10^-3)=±33333.3 practically I suppose ± 15 bit, I'm right?From this I try to understand the Terminology at the device datasheet page 17/58:'Sensitivity describes the gain of the sensor and can be determined, for example, byapplying 1 g acceleration to it. As the sensor can measure DC accelerations this can bedone easily by pointing the axis of interest towards the center of the Earth, noting the outputvalue, rotating the sensor by 180 degrees (pointing to the sky) and noting the output valueagain. By doing so, ±1 g acceleration is applied to the sensor. Subtracting the larger outputvalue from the smaller one, and dividing the result by 2, leads to the actual sensitivity of thesensor. This value changes very

Posted on April 07, 2018 at 07:49I have to store STM32F767ZI registers values at one line of my application code without halting my program at that line.As,I am currently trying to use C-Spy for that by using which so far I have managed to store on text file register values but each time code halts at that point as I am doing it using code breakpoint. Can you please share the solution to store GPIO register values on a file without stopping code execution (May be using C spy).Following are the setup details:IDE:                  IAR EMBEDDED WorkbenchDebug driver:  ST-link Debug tool:     C-spy Storing reg data :     Text file or any Dev Tool   :     Nucleo F767zi board Example data Which I have generated using breakpoints:GPIOA_MODER : A8000001#c-spy #gpio #nucleo-stm32f7 #swo-debugging

Posted on July 04, 2018 at 01:25I am writing a custom application that transfers bytes of sensor information from my own custom board to an app I am basing off of the ST25SDK (specifically V1.2.0). My application was failing to read the mailbox (yes, it's enabled) through the RF channel, failing with an 'ST25SDK: transfer finished with error message'. When I download the ST25AndroidApp and compile from source, I also ran into this same error message when attempting to read a Data transfer from the tag. In looking at my debug output, it appears to be trying to read 1 less byte than I write in my embedded application. More details: So my application writes 18 bytes of data into the Fast Mailbox. When I debug the Read from Tag command, the following line appears to read my 18 bytes written by the embedded (I2C) app. int length = mST25DVTag.readMailboxMessageLength();However, further down that function, when I step further into the function and enter into mST25DVTag.re

Posted on July 05, 2018 at 18:47Hi,I just generated two identical PWN pulses using two separated identical timers in the STM32F407 chip. After the MCU resets or a momnet after the MCU startup, both PWM pulses overlap each other as naturally should be (First picture).But as time passes (few seconds) one of the pulses starts to make phase shift (Second picture). After the MCU reset, both pulses come together and overlap again.It is weird isn't it?!!!! This could be a bug in the HAL drivers. I have used  HAL_TIM_PWM_Start() for the both timersas I mentioned everything on both timers are identical which also leads to an identical frequency. Therefore the reason of this gradual phase shift must be investigated.

Posted on July 04, 2018 at 12:51Hi EveryOne.Hi have a problem with PWM on my Stm32f303k8, nucleo board.Hi searched on this forum, but I not find an answer that solve my problem.So: I need to have a pwm output on PB_1 Pin, and, to do this, I've used cubeMX to generate the code:This is Tim.c#include 'tim.h'/* USER CODE BEGIN 0 *//* USER CODE END 0 */TIM_HandleTypeDef htim1;TIM_HandleTypeDef htim2;/* TIM1 init function */void MX_TIM1_Init(void){  TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig;  TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC;  TIM_BreakDeadTimeConfigTypeDef sBreakDeadTimeConfig;  htim1.Instance = TIM1;  htim1.Init.Prescaler = 7900;  htim1.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP;  htim1.Init.Period = 999;  htim1.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1;  htim1.Init.RepetitionCounter = 0;  htim1.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE;  if (HAL_TIM_PWM_Init(&htim1) != HAL_OK)  {    _Error_Handler(__FILE__,

Posted on July 01, 2018 at 15:32Dear all:     Dose cubemx support stm32h7 using other phy ic, not only using lan8742, like stm32f4. The first pic is cubemx support stm32h7,the second pic is cubemx support stm32f4,the different between two pics is the page ''advanced parameters'' only showed in stm32f4. Thanks.#stm32h7-ethernet

Posted on June 28, 2018 at 17:07I found an issue with the latest (and updated) STM32CubeMx when generating code both for SW4STM32 and for  MDK-ARM relate to STM32F746 board.Changing 'LSE Drive Capability' from ''LSE oscillator low drive capability' to 'LSE oscillator high drive capability' doesn't produce any changing into the code generate by STM32CubeMx.To enable ''LSE oscillator low drive capability'  I have to add to the code the lines:  HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess();  __HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_HIGH);But when I use again CubeMx to generate the code it remove my code...Info about versions use by me.   CubeMx version: 4.26.0   STM327CubeF7: 1.11.0Ciao.Gianluca#stm327cubef7 #lse-startup

Posted on March 21, 2018 at 09:01Hello,i have a STM32F051 and use the independent watchdog.I would like the IWDG counter to stop if the core is halted.I set the DBG_IWDG_STOP in the DBG Modul, but when i stop the core with the debuger my mcu still goes in reset.I tried setting the bit with µVision IDE, with HAL driver code and with code writing to the register directly.Best Regards,Eggers

Posted on June 26, 2018 at 00:26Hi,I am trying to dynamically configure the interrupt threshold on the LIS2MDL. It seems that sometimes after setting a new threshold, the old threshold still is in effect and causes an interrupt transition on the output pin. Is there any minimum (settling) time required after setting a new threshold on the LIS2MDL?Thank you.

Posted on July 03, 2018 at 12:16Dear ST team,I am working with the ST25DV chip (I use ST25DV_Discovery_Ant_C5 hardware conected to my processor with wires). VDCG is connected to VCC. LPD is High while the device is not active. I set LPD Low when a GPO nterrupt is triggered before communicating with the ST25DV. I want to get an interrupt when a message is posted into the mailbox.If I only configure the GPO_CTRL_DYN register with RF_PUT_MSG_EN and GPO_EN bits to 1, I never get an interrupt if post a message into the mailbox while LPD is High. (of course, If I set LPD Low beforehand and never reset it, I get a GPO interrupt and I receive the message).If I set all bits of GPO_CTRL_DYN to 1 with LPD High, then I get an RF_ACTIVITY interrupt at the time when the NFC Reader is near to the ST25DV, but I never get an interrupt when I post a message in the mailbox. is it normal ? (If so, I can set LPD Low when the ST25DV detects RF activity so that I will receive the messages posted in the mail

Posted on July 02, 2018 at 19:20Hi,I'm working on a STM32F407 chip and I have enabled one of its ADCs and I read the values by the DMA. I mean using this HAL function: HAL_ADC_Start_DMAis there anyway to measure the ADC sampling time or conversion time? (according to the datasheet it must be around 2.4Msps for each ADC).I don't mean by calculations, I mean measuring it in the live debugger or something like that. #adc-speed #adc-sampling-time #dma-adc #stm32f407

Posted on June 27, 2018 at 23:15Hello,I am developing a custom board that mounts a STM32F469 MCU. The board is very simple, and the circuit embeds only the main 8Mhz crystal and the RTC 32.768 one. No embedded peripherals except for a couple of status LEDs and a MUX 74*138 chip used to select memory banks on an expansion BUS based on the FMC.Crystals are more or less equivalent to the 469 Discovery, they are very close to the CHIP and the capacitors are the ones required by the crystals. ''Electrically'' speaking everything should be correct since the board works fine.The board mounts several headers to connect peripherals, so I can say that this is a minimal STM32F469 system. I have developed many drivers for this system so far, SRAM on FMC, SD over SPI, Usart etc, now I am fine tuning a VGA driver. Each driver can be included or not at the startup, so, for now, I am fine tuning the VGA driver and in this specific case is the is the only one started in the project.All the firmwa

Posted on August 22, 2014 at 23:45I have been working with the CR95HF chip for about the last month. I need to be able to use the Tag Detect version of the Idle state for my application. However, when I attempt to run the Tag Calibration sequence, I get a Wake Up response of 0x02 (value of the third byte) during the second step when my DACDataH value is 0xFC, which according to the Application Note, AN3433, is an error state. I would assume it was a problem with my matching network or with my receive pins, but the other RF operations I am interested in (inventories, reads and writes) are functional. I have tried changing the value of the Rrx resistors (from 330 ohm to 249 ohm), but if i lower the value, I encounter the opposite problem: I only get a Wake Up response of 0x01 until my value of DACDataH is 0x03 while attempting to calibration and this value clearly doesn't lead to a usable DACDataL value for actual Idle commands. Has anyone else experienced this
