Hi,Our device sometimes turns on from Standby by itself. The only wakeup sources enabled are a couple of wakeup pins.I saw the device reset (from standby) by itself, and the PINRSTF flags in RCC->CSR was set. The reset pin has 100nF capacitor to Gnd (it has an internal pullup according to the datasheet), and it is not connected anywhere, there's no option of performing external reset.On another occasion the WWDGRSTF flag was set, and I do not use the Window Watchdog. My application uses Independent Watchdog, but power off is done by software reset, then the bootloader 'sees' no button is pressed and so it puts the system in Standby, with no watchdog set.I did some experiments, and when I turn on the device from Standby (by wakeup pin) the PINRSTF flag is set with no apparent reason.Ideas?

I have been using the fast ODR setting to reach magnetometer data rates higher than 80hz. I have noticed that there are spikes of about +/- 250 in the data at higher frequencies. After some research, it seems this is caused by reading registers while the device is also updating those values.My question is are there any undocumented side effects of this fast ODR setting? I am wondering this because setting these higher data rates is not documented in the LSM9DS1 datasheet, but rather in the LIS3MDL datasheet.

Hi All,I have implemented a bootloader on STM32L152RC device. The bootloader is located on 0x8000000 flash address and checks if a new version of firmware is available. If not, it jumps to the flash address 0x8004000, so the previous version of firmware will run.My question is: What happens to the registers that have been initialized in the bootloader program? For example, I use SPI3 and GPIOB in the bootloader. Should I reinitialize them after jumping to the new program address?Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I am trying to setup a DCMI example with NUCLEO-H743ZI, the DCMI interrupts work fine, but DMA abrot when transferring the first data and TEIF is set.The project was setup with CubeMX, and more detail changes is in the git log. I didn't use cache and I've tried to align the buffer, but the problem remains. The Reference manual suggests the following, but I can't figure out what's wrong and how to fix it.The transfer error interrupt flag (TEIF) is set when:• A bus error occurs during a MDMA read or a write access• The address alignment does not correspond to the data size• The block size is not a multiple of the data size (for source and/or destination): this error is activated on the last transfer and the error address points to the last transfer (which cannot be done)Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I tried to download the x-cube-eeprom libary for the stm32l4 devices.When press the "Get Software" button on the https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-eeprom.html site nothing happens when im logged in to my account

Hi there!We are using nucleo embedded board for one of the application in IOT. We could like to sell this product to end customers, so is there any rules & regulation which we have to follow to sell this product.

I am using a mixed LL-HAL setup on an STM32F072 target. Although the HW transmits a CAN message using HAL_CAN_Transmit_IT(), it appears that the CAN interrupts do not execute. There seem to be two-ish parts to this problem:(1) The Main interrupt handler in the HAL libraries seems to be HAL_CAN_IRQHandler(&hcan). Looking at the startup_stm32f072xb.s file, it seems that the IRQ is combined with the CEC handler: CEC_CAN_IRQHandler(). I have created this function, following that of the other LL libraries, in the stm32f0xx_it.c file. It calls the HAL_CAN_IRQHandler() indirectly. Unfortunately, it seems that CEC_CAN_IRQHandler() does not get called, even when the TME interrupt is enabled after boot. (2) Since this is an LL-HAL mixed setup, I don't use the HAL NVIC functions, but rather enable interrupts though the LL functions, or specifically for CAN, through __HAL_CAN_ENABLE_IT which is direct register access. Is there something special that must be done in addition to (1) registering

Hi I am having issues with playing sound through the audio out jack. I have gone through the BSP examples but what's lacking for me is the correct setup of the pins. At the moment I have set up -SAI2 Block A (Master) - (I2S/PCM enabled)I2C3 I2S3 DMA for SAI2 Block A Am I missing anything with regards to the correct initialization in regards to getting audio to play out through my speakers? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,I'm trying to have complementary outputs with dead-time on CH1/CH2/CH3 and CH1/CH2/CH3N using TIM1 and Output Compare Mode on STM32F429.So I configured STM32CubeMX like in the picture below :And there is the portion of my code :(for testing purposes, a button press changes the state of CH1/CH1N)void TIM1_ItUpFcn() { if (HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(GPIOA,GPIO_PIN_0)==1) { TIM1->CCER = 4; } else { TIM1->CCER = 5; } }That code changes CC1E/CC1NE bits.As a result,on the scope, I do get my complementary outputs on CH1 and CH1N, they invert each other when I press the button, but with no deadtime! I don't understand why i don't have that deadtime, like explained below :

I'm creating a context switch program for a personal mini ARM kernel project and the context switch program is written entirely in Assembly. The problem is when I make a SVC call (svc 0) I enter the SVC_Handler but when I try to execute the next instruction I then enter a different handler ("UsageFault_Handler"). The fault occurs before I can pop any of the registers in the SVC_Handler.Here's a register dump of my gdb screen (right after I enter SVC_Handler and encounter UsageFault_Handler):(gdb) i r r0 0x1 1 r1 0x20000bcc 536873932 r2 0x40004404 1073759236 r3 0x1 1 r4 0x0 0 r5 0xc 12 r6 0x3 3 r7 0x20000fe4 536874980 r8 0x1 1 r9 0x0 0 r10 0xb 11 r11 0xa 10 r12 0x2 2 sp 0x2001ffa8 0x2001ffa8 lr 0xfffffff1 4294967281 pc 0x8000188 0x8000188 <UsageFault_Handler> cpsr 0x3 3And my context switch:activate: cpsie i   /* save kernel state into msp */ mrs ip, msp push {r4-r11,ip,lr}   /* retrieve routine parameters and switch to the process stack psp */ ldmfd r0!, {ip,lr}

Hello,my STM32F103C8T6 is being used for driving LCD display (ST7789, SPI2). Images are stored in the external FLASH memory (GD25Q16C, SPI1).I am looking for an efficient way to transfer images from external FLASH to the LCD. In order to read data from the FLASH, I have to send start address, and then keep sending dummy bytes (so the chip increments address before sending new byte). So far, I have managed to do the following procedure:-tell LCD, that incoming bytes will be pixel colors,-send start address to the External Flash chip-send dummy byte, receive corresponding pixel color, send it to the LCD. Repeat 115200 times (1PAGE = 240x240x2bytes)**LCD displays image**I would like to improve this process, for example by using DMA in following way:-tell LCD, that incoming bytes will be pixel colors,-send start address to the External Flash chip-enable SPI1 (flash) DMA transmit channel: send dummy byte 115200 times,-enable SPI1 (flash) receive channel: receive data and put it into SPI2 (l

Hi all, I am new to USB communication so please forgive my imprecisions. I am using the discovery board STM32F469I-DISCO. I have been able to establish serial communication through the programming port (the port connected to the ST-link/V2-1) using usart3 as it is its default configuration. I would like to do the same using the USB OTG FS integrated. Is it possible? If so, how can I achieve it? In other words how do I make the board show up as a virtual com port and communicate through USART using the USB OTG FS port?Thank you,Frank

Posted on February 22, 2017 at 15:30I'm trying to install STM32CubeMX on Win10 64bit.I know I have Java Version 8 Update 121 installed and I'm sure it's working (since I'm using it).Now when I invoke SetupSTM32CubeMX-4.19.0.exe a window pops open after a couple of seconds saying:STM32CubeMX InstallerThe registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the runtime is corrupted.And that is it.It doesn't say which Java Version it's looking for nor does it say which one it finds (corrupted).Can somebody help, please??#stm32cubemx #stm32cubemx-install #stm32cubemx-java

Hello, I am using timer 6 and generating interrupts for every 1s.it works fine when i dont enable the sleep on exit feature. but if i enable sleep on exit feature, after the first timer interrupt , processor goes to sleep and the next timer interrupt unable to wake up the processor. the timer isr doesnt run. Posted on July 09, 2018 at 19:25Hi,I can't find stm32l4xx_ll_tim.h file from CubeMX generated code. The only place I can find this file is a zipped file download from ST.com. I am guessing this is a Cube issue, right?STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.11.0Thx

Posted on June 16, 2018 at 13:49Dear All,   I am working on STM32F4Doscovery board timers. I want to make a timer interrupt for an application. It can be 1sec or 500ms interrupt. I have read the datasheet and written the program accordingly. But i dont know how to use interrupt in STM32. I have tried something, but nothing is happening. Can someone suggest me a solution??&sharpinclude 'stm32f4xx.h' // Component selectionvoid GPIO_Init(void);void tim10_init(void);int main(void){ GPIO_Init(); tim10_init(); while (1) { GPIOD->ODR|=(1<<15);}}void GPIO_Init(void){ RCC->AHB1ENR|=RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIODEN; GPIOD->MODER|=(1<<28); // pin 14 is output GPIOD->OTYPER&=~(1<<14);//pin 14 as push pull GPIOD->OSPEEDR|=(1<<29)|(1<<28);//LOW speed GPIOD->PUPDR&=~(1<<29)|(1<<28);//No push pull GPIOD->MODER|=(1<<30); // pin 15 is output GPIOD->OTYPER&=~(1<<15);//pin 15 as push pull GPIOD->OSPEEDR|=(1&lt

I tried to use the STM32CubeMX to configure DAC to work with DMA which would enable me to transfer data from memory, all clocked by TIM6. I used same configuration for STM32F334 and it worked without any problems. After I never got this working, I tried to add another request in DMA configuration menu and discovered this, which looks like some kind of bug, because I haven't found anything like this in reference manual. I believe that STM32CubeMX is not optimized for STM32H7 enough and it looks like this is also the reason why my code wouldn't work with this model.Thank you for reply.

Is there something else that I am missing? I have followed the instructions in UM1884 and RM0394, but after writing to BKP0R, it still reads zero (even with NoErase).0x40021058: 1006c401 1 RCC_APB1ENR1_PWREN 0x40007000: 00000300 1 PWR_CR1_DBP 0x40021090: 00008200 2 RCC_BDCR_RTCSEL 0x40021090: 00008200 1 RCC_BDCR_RTCEN 0x40002840: 000000a0 1 RTC_TAMPCR_TAMP3E 0x40002850: 00000000 0 RTC_BKP0R HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess() __HAL_RCC_RTC_ENABLE() 0x40021058: 1006c401 1 RCC_APB1ENR1_PWREN 0x40007000: 00000300 1 PWR_CR1_DBP 0x40021090: 00008200 2 RCC_BDCR_RTCSEL 0x40021090: 00008200 1 RCC_BDCR_RTCEN 0x40002840: 000000a0 1 RTC_TAMPCR_TAMP3E HAL_RTCEx_BKUPWrite(hrtc, 0, 0x12345678) HAL_RTCEx_BKUPRead(hrtc, 0) = 0x0 0x40002850: 00000000 0 RTC_BKP0R > > md 0x40002800 0xd0 0x40002800: 08 08 00 00 01 21 00 00 00 00 00 00 27 88 00 00 .....!......'... 0x40002810: FF 00 7F 00 FF FF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0x40002820: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C4 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ..........

Posted on February 17, 2017 at 12:29I want to have 60 MHz on the MCO1 pin PA8. I use an external 25 Mhz crystal. The PLL delivers 180 Mhz to the system clock. I've used STCubeMX to configure the clocks to get 180 MHz / 3 on MCO1.Unfortunatly I'm not getting any activity on the MCO1 pin at all.Some things I've tried:- Checking the registers in the debugger, looks correct.- Setting MCO1 register to 0x02 for using HSE. This works fine, I'm getting pulses on MCO1- Setting PLL down to 75 Mhz. No activity on MCO1.Is this some limitation or erratta that I somehow missed in the documentation?

Posted on January 18, 2017 at 03:55I am using stm32cubeMx to generate initialization C code for programming STM32L476RGTx MCU using Keil IDE. Recently, I need to interface an AD5262 digital potentiometer to control the gain of an amplifier automatically. The AD5262 requires 9 bit spi data to be configured perfectly (1 bit for resistor selection, 8 bit for wiper position selection). I have tried HAL_SPI_Transmit_IT(&hspi,&data,1) // data is 8 bit. //to transmit twice (so I did some bit manipulation so it becomes A0 D7 D6 D5 D4 D3 D2 D1 D0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0, please check AD5262.jpg). I considered last 7 zeros' to be ignored by AD5262. Seems like my process is not working. There one other way I can think of which is 1st bit (A0) to be transferred manually programming the spi by using the gpio pins (CS, SCLK and SDA) and transmitting the rest 8 bit using the function I mentioned. But I will do it if I can not find any other convenient way to transmit 9 bit directly using HAL. Can you

Hello,Currently, I am working on STMH43ZITx Nucleo board. In order to generate code for Ethernet as well as LWIP, I am using STMCubeMX. After updating STMCubeMX to the newest version i.e 4.26.1, I cant able to select LWIP option at all even after selecting ETH option to RMII/MII.The same works if I select other boards for example STM32F7 series. Is that bug in the newest release of STM32CubeMX or I am doing something wrong?Best regards,Sid

hello i try to read registers RCC_CSR with FlagStatusRCC_GetFlagStatus (uint8_t RCC_FLAG)but my project generated by cubemx doesnt recognize this function ,is there an option i didnt open on cube mx , or should i download a folder , because i couşdn find STM32F10x Standard Peripherals Library 3.5.0 on my project thanks
