Solved

Please excuse me if this is a very basic question. I created a screen with a couple of buttons on it and a text area with a wildcard on it to increase in value when one button is pressed and decrease in value when the other button pressed. This works fine without any problems. However, the next thing I did was add code to the screen to a needle "Shape" that will be rotated in one direction when a button is pressed and in the other direction when the other button is pressed. This was all done by editing the code of the screen instead of using the TouchGFX gui. This works fine as well. However, the buttons and the text area created in the TouchGFX gui are not visible with the added code for the needle. I see there is a way to set the Z order within the gui but the needle I added in code is not available in the gui. I can click in the area where the button is located (but not visible) and the needle rotates as expected. The items in the gui are located in the view "Base" files which are gui_

Hi guys,I have to store some data on a sd-card. (The data will be a huge number of bytes)I want to save them in a high frequency (now about 5kHz) in a buffer on the chip (RAM) and then store them in a lower frequency (1Hz) on the sd card.So I have several problems but as sonn as the buffer is active I get a IMPRECISERR ...Is there any possibility to get a more precise information about when does the error occur?kind regards,Felix G.P.S.: If you need further details i will try to get them known and post them, but i have no idea where to search for more information...P.P.S.: It's my first time doing such a deep error research

Hello,I learned to blink a led as well as using the user's button to make interrupt using HAL library and CubeMXHowever I learnt that through tutorials.I tried to learn more thanks to the datasheet but it doesn't really help. For instance, the ReadPin function part doesn't give many instructions since it's just written"HAL_GPIO_ReadPin()". Therefore, I wouldn't have known what to put in the parenthesis without youtube. So is there any (fan made) in deep guide about HAL library? (or something else)Thanks :)

I'm starting to develop an application to read and write on NFC tag's mem. But I want to disable the GPIO pulse on write in some cases, to do it i have to write on tag's registers. I do not found on SDK docs how to do it. Does anyone know how can I do this? and Where I can find support or code examples to do this applications?

Hello All,Currently, we are working on STM32F030C6T6TR controller, it has 32KB flash memory & this memory is not sufficient for our application. We do not have sufficient time to design the PCB again. Please suggest any other controller with the larger Flash Memory, and having pin to pin compatibility.Thank youShashikant

I can just get WFQFN 5X6X0.8 P0.4Much limitted! Thanks for any help.

Scenario: Read the current hardware time from the tagSteps:1) Hardware detects a reading action (from a Android/iOS device, for example)2) Hardware write the current time in Tag3) Mobile device gets the current time of hardware4) FinishThank you

I am looking at using the STTH112RL diode in a gate drive circuit. I was trying to find the capacitance of the diode but it is not in the data sheet. Can you please send me that information?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

I have the following situation. I use a STM32F030F4 flashed with a programm created with Keil uVision. I use startupfile provided from ST. Flashtool and Target dialog are configured in "default". The address for the app inside the flash starts at 0x08000000. So nothing special with the application code. When I flash the device putting the Boot0 pin to GND the application starts as expected. But when I try to start the application via the bootloader putting the Boot0 pin to VCC. I can not get it running. Here is a figure how far I come with bootloader. I talk with the bootloader via Uart and erverything is accepted but I fail to provide the right flashaddress to start the application. I thought it should be the address of the reset handler which is 0x08000139. Do I miss something here or is the approach correct ?

Is that possible to make easily in touchgfx rotary knob widget? I would like to make a knob which will be rotating be sliding touch screen like knob like in radio or something :)

Hi,Imagine I have a vector of 10 different text Areas and I want to write a different number ranging from 0 to 9 on each of them (0 on the first one, 1 on the second and so on). What's the best strategy to achieve this? Using a wildcard definitely seems inappropriate as once the textAreas will be set up, they won't be changed for the whole duration of the program. Comparably, using a Resource with the need to introduce first all the characters in the 'database' seems overkilled. They must be another way, more appropriate and doable directly from the code. Thanks in advance.

Hello,I try to run an ISR (void TIM3_IRQHandler(void)) in the ITCM RAM area. I'm new with scatter-files. Anybody has an example?(NUCLEO-H743ZI, Keil uVision)RegardsJakob

Hi, I setup CubeMX last version. I try to make a project for STM32L4R9I-Disco board. But in middleware section TouchGFX isn't seen. You can check from attached picture. How can I enable TouchGFX for this MCU.

I'm aware that the STM3240G-EVAL doesn't have a hardware crypto processor, but is it possible to create a software algorithm to do the encryption? Possibly using the X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB library?

I maked simple program with LWiP. After I got dinamyc address, I tried socket connection and call netconn_bind halted MCU.My code: for(;;) {  if(OK_D == 0)    {    IP_A = gnetif.ip_addr.addr;    if(IP_A == 0)    {      HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_7, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // led 2      HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_14, GPIO_PIN_SET); // led 3    } else    {      dhcp_stop(&gnetif);      OK_D = 1;    }  } else    {      HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_14, GPIO_PIN_RESET); //led 3      osDelay(1);      if(OK_E == 0)      {     &nbs

Dear all,I am facing to a strange GPIO problem. First af all, I tried to set-up the LPUART1 but impossible to send anything (no activity on PG7 , the Tx of the LPUART1). So, I initialized the PG7 to be a general output and tried to blink it ... no reaction. With the scope I noticed that the pin remain in Z impedance. I tried the same exercise on PG0 and PG1; this work as expected . All the other PGx (that are not connected to special functions of the board) do not change their output. On the other ports (A, B, C ...) I have no problem. Any idea? Do I need some special initialization for this port G? here is ma simple code I used for those basic tests:static void myTest(void) { RCC->AHB2ENR |= RCC_AHB2ENR_GPIOAEN; // Turn on the GPIOA RCC->AHB2ENR |= RCC_AHB2ENR_GPIOBEN; // Turn on the GPIOB RCC->AHB2ENR |= RCC_AHB2ENR_GPIOCEN; // Turn on the GPIOC RCC->AHB2ENR |= RCC_AHB2ENR_GPIODEN; // Turn on the GPIOD RCC->AHB2ENR |= RCC_AHB2ENR_GPIOEEN; // Turn on the GPIOE RCC-

My MPU is STM32L152RET6I am using i2c channel 1 to communicate with an i2c device.  I used the standard device set and verified the hardware appears to be set up correctly. When I set the "Start" bi in control register 1 (CR1), a start condition is generated on the i2c bus but the next thing the driver does is wait for the "SB" bit to got high in the status register 1 (SR1). This is the normal behavior. However, SB never goes high. I tried writing the address of the i2c device ins the data register (DR) (just to see if it would transmit the address) but it did not work. The problem is the SB bit never sets and the driver times out. Any ideas what might be wring?

Hi everyone, I designed a custom board . It use 24MHz crystal instead of oscillator with stm32mp157. Now, I follow the wiki page to modify the clk_hse with "st,bypass;" in file arch/arm/dts/stm32mp157a-dk1-u-boot.dtsi .But the board always can not boot up. Did I missing something? The wiki page that I referenced. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Clock_device_tree_configuration_-_Bootloader_specific

For FCC testing, I'll need to configure the CR95HF to:continuously transmitoperate at max powerI'm basing this off of a paragraph in the corresponding FCC document (ID YCPDEMOCR95HF):Equipment under test operating condition:The equipment under test is blocked in continuous modulated transmission mode, at the highest output power level at which the transmitter is intended to operate.Does the CR95HF have a special test mode to accomplish this? Or if it must be done manually, how do I set this up?

I got this error message when trying to create a new stm32 project. Culd you help with this?

Hey. When starting the debugger in IAR, fall in HardFault_Handler.__HAL_RC_CRC_CLK_ENABLE(); did not help.attach log file.

Hello,When I try to install the GUI ,windows says this: "This app can't run on your PC".How does one get the GUI up and running? Please advise.
