I use the CubeMX command-line interface. Normally I put my script in a file, and run it like this:java -jar "C:\path\to\STM32CubeMX.exe" -q "C:\path\to\myscript.txt"But before doing that, I test the script commands one-by-one in the interactive mode. That means, I start up CubeMX with the command line interface and I can see visually what happens upon each command I enter:java -jar "C:\path\to\STM32CubeMX.exe" -iThe first command I usually issue then is to load an existing `ioc-file`:config load "C:\path\to\my_cubemx_proj.ioc"Then I issue the following command:set mode FREERTOS EnabledThis works. I can see immediately the green checkmark appearing next to `FREERTOS` in the Middleware section. The next thing I do is changing the Timebase Source in SYS from `SysTick` to `TIM1`:set mode SYS TIM1 Timebase SourceThis used to work in the previous CubeMX version. But in CubeMX5 it doesn't have any effect. The following image illustrates what happens:

Dear All,I jump in boot mode with boot0 to high level, and i can test it with dfu USB connexion.Unfortunately, it does not work with UART3.I have the TX signal 0x3F coming from computer, but any acknowledgment. In STM32CUBPROGRAMMER, there is : "Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again..."I use an usb - ttl 3.3v cable which works, and I did not add pull up resistor because the signal is high by default.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Hi everyone,I use ST25R3911B with differential antenna driving using the circuit recommended in datasheet, powered in 3.3V.I initialize the chip with NFC-A mode. I can read NFC tag but in a very short range (maximum 15 mm).I tried to increase this range by increasing the receiver first gain stage, by writing in receiver configuration register 3 (boost mode) but it did not improve the read range. Is it normal that it did not increase the read range? Is there another way to increase it?Interresting facts: - The A/D converter output register value is not impacted by my change.  - As expeced, if I write the RFO normal level definition register to disabling first segments, the value of A/D converter output register decreases as the read range. Thanks a lot for your help

Hi,I am using Keil v5.28 and want to debug the code on STEVAL-SMARTAG1. The module uses 1.8V to power its MCU. SWD pins are enabled in the app.---------------------------After 4-5sec after starting the debugging of the STEVAL-SMARTAG1 module I loose the connectivity to the target (it works fine within the first 4sec). The watched variables are not updated since then. Tested both nucleo ST-LINK/2-1 (external target) and j-link edu mini:jlink reports: **JLink Warning: CPU could not be halted"st-link gives the following message when I try to stop the debugger or stop the app: "Could not stop Cortex-M device".So both debuggers experience very similar issues.VTref looks good: VTarget = 1.794VI have no problem to stop the MCU within the first 3sec. The problem starts showing up after 4sec.------------------I know that the j-link edu mini does not support 1.8V (at least theoretically because I saw it working with such 1.8V powered boards). So it may fail with this voltage as per Segger inform

I want to implement Remote Display of TouchGFX screen through web server. Is this possible like VNC? How can I implement if possible?

From the datasheet diagram (attached), it seems like the DMA has access to all of above. However, it is not clear whether it is really possible to DMA data to / from those and how I should do it and I've seen negative response to similar chips, so I am confused. Thank you!

So even newer STM32s still have both of UARTs and USARTs.My question is about how they are going to be supported in Cube libraries.Am dealing with H7x3 recently, and noticed that the UART example actually is for USART - as the serial connector on the eval. board is indeed USART1.https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7/blob/e261d820b398846a94f22f4aeb32d86c29546efb/Projects/STM32H743I-EVAL/Examples/UART/UART_HyperTerminal_IT/Inc/main.h#L33I've played with the example as is, and it works. Then out of curiosity I've changed all uses of "UART" lib API there to USART (added hal_uart.c, ...uart_ex.c to the project...) and RX interrupt no longer works. Output works well.It does not get any singe RX interrupt. In my real project both UARTs and USARTs will be needed. What we have in the HAL drivers?stm32h7xx_ll_usart.h is there, but no ll_uart.h/.chttps://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7/blob/master/Drivers/STM32H7xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/And same in STML4 library. Is this simply omis

I have a uart setup that performs large transfers. I have seen that it blocks receive for most of the time this transmit happens. The IRQ is shared for both transmit and receive (by chip architecture). So how do I deal with this ?Is the usart really full duplex ?How does NVIC nesting play into this?

Hi together,I have a tinker board with a STM32F405RG (1024kB Flash 192kB SRAM, no FMC, no DMA2D) and an EADOGXL Display (SPI, 240x128, 4bit Grey). As of now i've only played with the 'baremetal' data and command to the display.I am wondering what the actual hw requirements for a custom board in touchgfx are.Is the DMA2D (ChromART) required? It says so in the Getting started with cubemx https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020001492-Getting-Started-with-CubeMX-and-TouchGFXI plan to use a single (or double) frambuffer in internal Memory, as it is a greyscale display with a not to high resolution it should be 240*128*4bit = 15kB of SRAM.Am I missing something else? Btw is there any full toturial on how to create your own target/board from scratch? Thanks in advance

Hi. I bought stm32f469i and Nucleo-h745 boards. H745 connects to STLink no problem. But the F469 discovery board doesn’t connect. I tried installing reinstalling drivers, connecting to other computer nothing worked. I couldn’t find another cable that I could try with so I ordered a new one it’s is going to arrive on Wednesday.Meanwhile is there anything else I can try? There are already questions similar to this one on the forum but nothing seems to help me. It is the third day for me messing with it. LCD powers up though. Red communication light keeps flashing slowly. any solution?

In version 1.1.0 the team group options is not ability of SVN. How can they be implemented?

Hallo everyone, I have an Olimex Dev Board with the STM32F407ZGT6 on it. I implemented the USB Middleware as VCP (Virtual COM Port) and it worked perfectly well on my windows 7 PC. Since I migrated to windows 10 I've been unable to connect to the VCP. NB: I have not modified my code. I will be thankful if someone could hint me on how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Is there feature to scale images in TouchGFX designer? I don't mean scaleable image widget that will be rendered on the MCU, I mean that the Designer tool can scale image and pre-render them to new size. Then all the heavy lifting of scaling is done on PC.It is very useful to scale images in the Designer, for prototyping purposes, but use static image on the MCU for better performance. Otherwise I need to use image editor -> scale -> import -> repeat. Also, add "lock proportions when scaling" feature too.P.S. I love the tool! I evaluated 5-10 embedded GUI designers and TouchGFX is simply the best.

ADC DMA is not working after generated code using with stm32cubemx for keil. please suggest any way to work ADC DMA.

Hi,I'm trying to configure an I2C interface in SMBUS mode on an STM32F4. However, cubemx (v5.3.0) does not correctly generate code (missing include and file about HAL SMBUS, missing handle, empty init function, etc.). Compilation failed. Is there a plan to fix it?Thanks

I have STM32F303CCTX custom board.IO Pin PB8 has a timer that triggers a gpio high for 200us and resets for 300us. creates a 1.8KHz wave with about 35% duty using plain timer mode. Timer IRQ handler also fires the adc conversion on pin PB0.It continuously keeps running with no values for over a minute. Then suddenly exits to second for loop with the scans(mostly invalid values).main.c#define ADC_ARRY_SIZE 30     uint16_t adc_vals[ADC_ARRY_SIZE] = {0};   uint16_t adc_val = 0;   uint32_t adc_zero_count = 0;   uint32_t index_no = 0;     void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc)   {   adc_val = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc3);   if((adc_val != 0) && (index_no < ADC_ARRY_SIZE))   adc_vals[index_no++] = adc_val;   else if(adc_val == 0)   adc_zero_count++;   }   void set_pwm2_duty(uint32_t duty_count)   {   __HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_1, duty_count);   } &nbsp

I want to try to make pattern password screen used in this video. Does this project have a accessible source code or document to get sample?https://youtu.be/FzBZeZQOG_k?t=183

I feel uncomfortable with this: on page 26 AN5165 there are shown layers purposes. In particular, written, that INNER1 used as "grounding under the RF zones", but on images below (Figure 33) under RF this layer is deleted and as reference used another layer INNER2 (Figure 34). To check this I've downloaded Altium-project P-NUCLEO-WB55 and there actually INNER2 was as reference. Furthermore I find discrepancy of layers in Figure 24 and layer stack in projects. I've made some calculations: actually sizes of conductors and gaps correspond to the stack in the project, the p-NUCLEO-WB55 Board is executed correctly.

Hey,I'm currently trying to import following Project: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF7/tree/master/Projects/STM32746G-Discovery/Applications/LwIP/LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS into my STM32CubeIDE, although I seem to have some troubles. The Includes seem to fit but if Im trying to build, it says "nothing to build". What steps do I have to take in order to build and run these sample projects? Thanks in advance

Hi,I'm trying to use my STM32F7 Discovery Kit to just fire a HTTPS-Get Request up to my Server.Im using mbedtls and some http(s)-library I found on Github. But that doesn't feel right, is there any official Guide, Library or even a sample project for a simple https client? Thanks in Advance

Hello community, I am trying to use the ST25dv64k with host MCU (stm32l031k6) to make a small project. I want to get a temperature measurement using the internal temperature sensor of the host MCU. However, I want to know if using ST25dvxxx actually affect the internal temperature sensor reading. I noticed that the values fluctuate when ever I try to read the tag with mobile phone or an industrial reader. The main reason I am asking this, is that I want to have a battery-less measurement of the temperature, but if the NFC field is causing the internal temperature reading to be useless, do you have any recommendation of cheap low power temperature sensorThank you for your help

I use the following code to create critical section. Is it correct?I use the __get_PRIMASK() and __set_PRIMASK(primask_bit) from exemple codes. Why are they needed? Why disable is not sufficient?Must I enable the IRQ after or is it done in the __set_PRIMASK()?From the CubeMx, exemples with primask_bit = __get_PRIMASK(); and __disable_irq(); these lines are not followed by __enable_irq(), why?Privilege mode is needed to disable irq, how could I know if it is the case?primask_bit = __get_PRIMASK(); /**< backup PRIMASK bit */ __disable_irq(); /**< Disable all interrupts by setting PRIMASK bit on Cortex*/ // my code .... __set_PRIMASK(primask_bit); /**< Restore PRIMASK bit*/Best regardsMich

It's so sad that STM32CubeIDE can't support 32bit Windows now. Can we expect that in the future ??? Or we have to change our OS ??
