Hi,I have to change the CPOL and CPHA of SPI, because I'm communicating with different SPI-Devices. This worked fine on a Nucleo-Board with a Cortex M7.On the Cortex M4 of the STM32MP157-DK2 it ends up in HAL-Timeout :(After some time I found a solution.I added this in front of the code changing the SPI-settings:HAL_SPI_DeInit(&hspi5); HAL_SPI_Init(&hspi5);   /** code to change settings of CPOL und CPHA **/Now it works perfectly fine :)My question is now: why?regards Lukas

I have a STM32F407VG DISCOVERY kit and I'm trying to load a project from C:\Users\<user>\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0\ProjectsI'm using File->"Open Projects from Existing System".In the Project Explorer it shows:But the "hammer" is grayed-out so I cannot compile the code. Is there something else I need to do. I noticed that projects which I can compile have an IDE symbol will let me build, eg:I can build BGT_Part but not UART. thank you,Scott

Hi I am trying to use the Write Panel Mode in my flow to inject values into my target device (via the STM link).I have setup the Write Panel Node (following the nodes instructions) and the Node works as expected, whereby I can enter values into the variable spaces on the dashboard and when I hit the 'write' key it send it to my target and updates the values.What I wanted to know, is there a way to programatically trigger the 'Write' from the node red flow instead of using the dashboard button??This is my example flow.The 'inject vals' node is a basic node red 'inject' node. I was hoping to use this node to write values into the 'Write panel' node and get it tp send the values to the target without havind to press the 'write' button on the bashboard.Any help is appreciatedCheersMichael

I am trying to use Tim6 with ADC and DMA2 to save 100 ADC values in a buffer. It seems to be working, DMA counter decreases and I get DMA interrupt, but only the first value in the array is stored, the rest are 0 (init values). Can someone help me understanding what is wrong?void main() .... for(i = 0; i < ADC_CONVERTED_DATA_BUFFER_SIZE; i++) { aADCxConvertedData[i] = 0; }   Configure_ADC(); Configure_DMA(); Configure_TIM_TimeBase_ADC_trigger();   __HAL_RCC_ADC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_DMA2_CLK_ENABLE(); PrintDMA(); HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim6); err = HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1,(uint32_t *)aADCxConvertedData, ADC_CONVERTED_DATA_BUFFER_SIZE); if (err != HAL_OK) { printf("DMA err %d\n\r", err); } PrintDMA();   HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(DMA2_Channel3_IRQn, 0, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(DMA2_Channel3_IRQn);   HW_TIM_Delay(100); // wait 100 ms   for(i = 0; i < 10; i++) { printf("%d\n\r", aADCxConvertedData[i]); } } void PrintDMA() {

Hi,I want to use the buzzer on the board as an indicator when the tag gets in the range of the reader and when it gets out. But I can't find anything about it in datasheet, except in the block diagram. To what pin is it connected on the MCU? How can I use it? Am I missing something in the datasheet? Sorry for bothering you all :).Thanks and kind regards,Mirnesa

Hello, I wondered if you will add the ability to import/add new nodes to the STM32CubeMonitor system from the Node Red Library (https://flows.nodered.org/)?After all this is one of the strengths of the Node Red system to enable the use of collabrative built nodes. Many thanksMichael

Hi,After I uploaded my custom firmware on board (the one that comes in SDK, a little changed ), I can't connect to the board. I tried to upload the official firmware back, but after it says Update firmware successfully, it tries to connect but just get stuck and the Reader suit doesn't respond and all the leds on RFID reader are turned off.Does anyone know what should I do?Thanks,Mirnesa

I am trying to find the location of the register where the timestamp generator can be enabled on a STM32L433CC chip.In the CoreSight SoC Technical Reference Manual on page 3-210 it is mentioned that the register (CNTCR) is in the PSELCTRL region (see image). However, I am not able to find the base memory address of this PSELCTRL region.Can I find this address somewhere the ROM table that indicates the implemented debug components?Or is it defined in some datasheet or technical reference manual?Thank you for any help.

Hi Does keil have a similar approach, or do we have to manually switch？/korry

I get some bug. I use mcu stm32l152ve. Version 1.9.0. After update i got some errors.When i init, timer 6, 7, i got assert error in assert_param(IS_TIM_SYNCHRO_INSTANCE(htim->Instance));because #define IS_TIM_MASTER_INSTANCE(INSTANCE) (((INSTANCE) == TIM2) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM3) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM4) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM5) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM9))   #define IS_TIM_SYNCHRO_INSTANCE(INSTANCE) IS_TIM_MASTER_INSTANCE(INSTANCE)In previous versions was#define IS_TIM_MASTER_INSTANCE(INSTANCE) (((INSTANCE) == TIM2) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM3) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM4) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM5) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM6) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM7) || \ ((INSTANCE) == TIM9))it work perfect

Is it possible to do a DFU/SFU via USB CDC, how? On the UM2262 Applicate Note it mentioned on page 39 that local firmware download can be done through a UART Virtual COM port. I assume UART Virtual COM port is not the same as USB CDC. Appreciate your support.

I am trying to use the BlueNRG-2 Flashing Utility GUI to load the DTM_SPI.hex file onto the BlueNRG-2, but I am unable to flash or read anything from the BlueNRG-2's memory. The only result I get is "Waiting device to read". I am not using a BlueNRG evaluation kit; I have temporarily wired the chip to the pins on an ST-Link V2 as well as to a dev kit for my external MCU (for V and GND). My colleague wired it up for me and I double checked all of it, although there may still be something connected wrong. The ST-Link V2 has a red light on, which according to the User Guide means that communication between the PC and ST-LINK/V2 is established. It seems as if the Flashing Utility GUI never recognizes the ST-Link V2 programmer. I am on Windows 10.I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on could be causing this issue other than improper wiring as I have already checked that, but will check again if there are likely no other issues. In the mean time, I will try the UART method instead of SWD.

Is there any equivalent document on performance for the H7?I'm trying to do some final performance tuning on an applications and struggling to implement some of the ideas in AN4667For example:page 127 of the H7 reference manual shows that FMC SDRAM bank2 is only cacheable if remapped to 0x70000000 from 0xD0000000. AN4667 says to do this with "(SWP_FMC [1:0] = 01 in the SYSCFG_MEMRMP" but this register doesn't exist on the H7. Eventually I found HAL_SetFMCMemorySwappingConfig(FMC_SWAPBMAP_SDRAMB2); which I think does the same thing.Likewise:AN4667 example 5 shows how to put specific build modules into ITCMRAM. I've used the same construct in the loader for the H7 and as soon as I place anything into ITCMRAM the application won't run

Hello,I want to save data in flash memory of a STM32F0 using HAL library :HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_WORD, 0x20000000, data); HAL_FLASH_Lock();I don't know which address is allowed to store user data in flash.Here is the stm32f042k6 memory model (from datasheet) :Is there a specific area for user data in flash ?Thank you for reading,Best regards,Valentin

I'm creating code for an STM32L073 that will connect to another system. The final boards are not done yet (and will not be for a while) so we have a Nucleo board that we will be wired into the demo board for the system. I made a spreadsheet with the pin numbers/port GPIO/Schematic name and it worked well. I then spent a lot of time printing the spreadsheet out reduced to match the pin spacing on the Nucleo board.This was a bunch of work, and if I update the pin-outs I have to go through it all again.Does anyone know of a utility that will automatically print in the right scale?I think it would be a good project for an intern, or a college student looking for a project??(Sorry, I am not at liberty to discuss the details of the project)

How much memory should be available in the device flash to do the firmware install? If my application takes up >80% of my device's flash is it even possible to do a firmware update since most of the flash is already used up.Appreciate your support.

Hi,I'm trying to develop a module where information from a buffer is read by DMA and sent through UART, but the information is put in the buffer without a constant rate and it might happen that the buffer is empty, if that happened, I understand that the DMA would keep working sending information which has already been sent.Then my initial idea is to check whether the buffer has more information in the HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback() and in case that there is no more information disable it, and whenever there's data in the buffer, call HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA.I've seen HAL_UART_DeInit, but I'm also using the uart RX and then I think both RX and TX would stop working, which is not ok for me.Then, what do you suggest for tackling this issue?Best regards,Nicolas.

I'm using STM32H743ZIT6 for an audio speaker, and while I was trying to set SAI1 for a DAC I2S connection and SAI4 for a PDM digital mics, CubeMX keeps giving me this error for PDM setting.SettingsSAI1 A&B is set for Asynchronous I2SSAI4 A is set for PDM (2 D-MIC)The warning is that the Mode of SAI4 conflicts with SAI1 Asynchronous Slave mode, but I couldn't find what this meant.I want to keep the ports because it gives me the best placement of ICs, but I'm not sure if this is possible.Does anyone know if SAI1 and SAI4 have to be synced in modes to use PDM?

Hi, We are using SPC560B50L5C6E0Y microcontroller for one of our application. I have SPC560B-DIS with me and want to flash want to flash SPC560B50L5C6E0Y controller in our designed board. I want to know the required jumper setting on dev kit for flashing external target. What settings on SPC560B-DIS kit decides whether to flash the on-board controller or external target? I have removed S1,S2 jumpers and powering through USB. I have placed J19,J20 jumper and trying to flash but controller is not getting flashed correctly.
