Hi All,I want to use timer 1 for my double pulse test. To start with though I want to get it going in a simple PWM mode at first.I have gone trhough the reference amnual several times and looked at the block diagrams. I have got the registers intialized and the counter, counting. Howver I am gettting nothing at the output when I am trying to toggle the LED. What am I missing?int init_TIM1() { RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_TIM1EN; // Enabling Timer clock RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_GPIOCEN; // Enabling Port C clock GPIOC->MODER |= (1<<1); // Setting PC0 as alternate function GPIOC->MODER |= (1<<3); //Setting PC1 as alternate function GPIOC->OSPEEDR |= (1<<0) |(1<<1) | (1<<2) |(1<<3) ; // PC0, PC1 = High Speed TIM1->CCMR1 |= (1<<5) | (1<<6); // Setting Channel 1 in PWM Compare mode 1 TIM1->CCMR1 |= (1<<13) | (1<<14); // Setting Channel 2 as PWM Compare mode 1 TIM1->CCMR1 |= (1<<3) | (1<&l

HI All,I'm having an issue regarding switching screen.in My GUI, i have Screen one and Screen two,1- in screen one i set an interaction for changing the current screen (to screen two) by hardware button and i generated the code correctly and i found the next API//Handles when a key is pressedvoid Screen1ViewBase::handleKeyEvent(uint8_t key){  if(0 == key)  {    application().gotoScreen2CoverTransitionEast();  }}2- i used this handleKeyEvent(0) (in certain event) , in the screen1 view, but i didn't succeed to switch the screen2.3- after debugging , i found that i actually go to the screen two setupScreen, the screen doesn't appear on the lcd.Q: i want how ask how to use handleKeyEvent() properly ? do i use it in the screen view or the presenter or the model?

The MCU I use is STM32F103C8 and I need 2 PWM signals that complete each other to %100 duty cycle. ( ie: PWM1=%60 and PWM2 =%40 ). When one PWM channel is high the other one needs to be low and vice versa.The important part is, these two PWM signals should not be high at the same time. So I thought using 2 channels in opposite PWM mode. However, duty cycles will be changing and they will not be same throughout the code so while changing the CCR values of these channels, I believe the pattern might be broken and these signals might get high at the same time, even for a short time. Is there a way that I can follow to maintain that comleting PWM signals without having them high at the same time and is there a precaution or a security measure to prevent making them high at the same time?Edit: I need to set dead time around 50 ns, with my clock period 13.8 ns I need to set TIM1_BDTR register's DTG bits to 0x04. (These are the [0-7] bits of the BDTR register). I don't want to change th

Hello I have NUCLEO-G474RE running at 170Mhz (24Mhz HSE [div 6] [mul 85] [div 2]) .I am using Master and TimA $ TimC hrtimer as PWM for SMPS running at 100kHz (10uS).I want to check how much available time for me if I interrupt every period and update the duty cycle using compare unit.I add an IO to check the duration, it took around 7.44uS??So that means I have only left around 2.65 uS for my code?void HRTIM1_Master_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN HRTIM1_Master_IRQn 0 */   GPIOC->BSRR = (1<<10); // up   /* USER CODE END HRTIM1_Master_IRQn 0 */ HAL_HRTIM_IRQHandler(&hhrtim1,HRTIM_TIMERINDEX_MASTER); /* USER CODE BEGIN HRTIM1_Master_IRQn 1 */   GPIOC->BSRR = (1<<26); // down +16   /* USER CODE END HRTIM1_Master_IRQn 1 */ }

Hi, I try to install the STM32CubeExpansion_CELLULAR_V5.1.0 in STM32CubeIDE 1.3.0.What I tried: In Cube IDE I went to "Help"->"Manage embedded software packages" and choose "From Local...". Then I select the "en.x-cube-cellular.zip" File, which I did download from "https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32cube-expansion-packages/x-cube-cellular.html"I get the ERROR: "Invalid zip file or missing expected Pdsc file within pack root directory".Next questions: When I try to copy a bin file from STM32CubeExpansion_CELLULAR_V5.1.0\Projects\STM32L496G_Discovery\Demonstrations\Cellular\Binaries\in the USB-Drive folder of the ST-LINK of my board "P-L496G-CELL02" as described in I get the error: Not enough memoryI already enabled the embedded SIM card on the STMOD+ BG96 board and made an update of the BG96 modem firmware to the latest version But still I didnt succeed in running any demo. I need a unique 16bit ID for each device. I know the device ID is unique but it is 96bits. I'm not sure if different parts of the 96bit point to specific characteristics or the whole 96bits are made random? To be more specific, I want to know what 16bit of it I can cut and be sure that it is LEAST LIKELY to be repeated on two devices?The datasheet says "The 96-bit unique device identifier provides a reference number which is unique for any device and in any context." but doesn't provide any further information.PS: I know that by cutting part of it there is chance of repetition, but it is fine as long as it is random. For example if I pick a part that points to production date then all the MCUs in one batch we get would have the same random bits which is what I'm trying to avoid.

I am new to the STM32 Cube IDE and TRUESTUDIO software. I have followed the step-by-step guide given on the website which allows the user to read the temperature input on the board. However, I am wondering if there is any guidance available for being able to read the other sensors on the board? I have managed to read the humidity sensor however I cannot seem to find any guidance anywhere online! Specifically, I was hoping for guidance with the accelerometer as I am wanting to use this for my own project. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all.I used STM32CubeIDE 1.3.0 with TouchGFX 4.13.0 Designer on STM32F429I_DISC1.I am testing load bmp file from USB disk. project is made from cubeide.I followed below doc.touchgfx-engine-features/caching-bitmapsand i added touchgfx_generic_init into TouchGFXConfiguration.cpp.uint16_t* cacheStartAddr = (uint16_t*)0xD0030000; uint32_t cacheSize = 0x300000; //3 MB, as example   void touchgfx_init() { Bitmap::registerBitmapDatabase(BitmapDatabase::getInstance(), BitmapDatabase::getInstanceSize()); TypedText::registerTexts(&texts); Texts::setLanguage(0);   FontManager::setFontProvider(&fontProvider);   FrontendHeap& heap = FrontendHeap::getInstance(); (void)heap; // we need to obtain the reference above to initialize the frontend heap.   hal.initialize(); HAL& hal = touchgfx_generic_init<TouchGFXHAL>(dma, display, tc, 240, 320, cacheStartAddr, cacheSize, 1); }but it makes some errors and memory full, anyway i tried but could not.so

I am trying to learn DMA properly by reading from STM32F407 reference manual . But I am confused at some points. First is about FIFO mode:- Lets say I am receiving data from UART over DMA and I am using DMA FIFO mode with threshold 1/2(that is 8 byte). And destination and source size is 1 byte. What should I do to get data from FIFO when my number of data to receive is less than 8. For example how to get that datas from the FIFO when I received 5 bytes in my FIFO and not expecting more. Due to threshold level(8byte) is it keeps that datas or it will send them with looking to number of data register is equal 0.-Second thing where I confused is statements in the below:,When these two cases occurs? For example higher priority DMA request comes while lower on operation creates one? And how can I understand one of them occurred? and last: Am I missing something or these two cases are same, one says suspend and other says disables but what they caused and the solution looked same to me.What

I am using STM32F103C8Tx and I am trying to create a PID adjustable PWM. In PID I will be giving values to PWM from 0 to 100 to set the duty cycle. That means my counter period needs to be 100 in Cubemx. Because as I have learnt while I am changing the dutch cycle it changes the counter period. However, I need to create PWM with 200 KHz frequency and the clock of the timer is 72 MHz.In order to achieve a value of 100 in counter period I need to have a 3.6 prescaler. Am I following a wrong way or did I get this PWM duty cycle thing wrong in stm32?Note: I am changing duty cycle from the code ashtimx.Instance->CCRx =Duty_Cycle; I think I cannot put codes as a reply so I will put them here:static void MX_TIM3_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 0 */   TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 1 */ htim3.Ins

Hi!I am using the SensorTile.box together with Algobuilder. Since 2.6 there is the feature that pressing the user-button triggers data collection.Unfortunately this does not seem to work with SensorTile.box. I am using the Example13_SensorTile.box_SDCard that comes along with Algobuilder. Setup is working fine. Everything works if I use Unicleo GUI. By pressing "Start" in the UI the blue led starts to blink and a file is generated on the SD Card.But the problem is pressing the User Button just turns the led on (with low brightness level,) but no blinking. I can see in Unicleo that the "Start" and "Stop" buttons are enabled and disabled. Problem is that nothing is written on the SD Card.I tried to display a graph at the same time:By pressing the user button, Unicleo shows the data in the graph. However, the led is again not blinking and nothing is written on the SD card.Is there anything that I have to change to make this work? I really would like to collect some data when not connected

Hi,Should NC pins on STM32H753XI TFBGA240+25 be connected to ground, or can they be left floating?Thanks,Thomas

Hello,I have NUCLEO-STM32F429ZI kit and I want to operate the SPI as max speed. So, I design one simple example like make SPI1 as Slave and SPI4 as a master mode.This is worked for SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_8 (11.25 MHz), SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_16 (5.625 MHZ) however, when I changes this prescaler to SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_4 (22.5 MHz) and SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_2 (45 MHz), it is not working.Any additional setting may required to operate at 45 MHz frequency?.Can some one help me.

I want to connect a USB to STM32L412KB externally. Next, I would connect that USB to my computer. I want it to show up as a filesystem which displays a log data from MCU. How should I proceed? Any tips? Also, I have never worked on filesystems. Can anyone share a good source where I could start looking for filesystems? Thanks in advance!

Hi,I try to send data via CAN from the nucleo board to a USB-to-CAN device (peakCAN).I configured PA12 and PA11 as FDCAN1_TX and FDCAN1_RX. I measured pin 12 and pin 14 on the CN10 connector with a salea logic device, but got no valid frame. Pin 12 stays high (3.3V) and pin 14 remains low (0V).I also tried to change the PLL-frequency for the CAN peripheral to 40MHz as mentioned in some other posts (seen in the snippets below) - but it has the same effect like my implementation with 36MHz...Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks a lot...static void MX_FDCAN1_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN FDCAN1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END FDCAN1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN FDCAN1_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END FDCAN1_Init 1 */ hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC; hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = DISABLE

Hi,I am quite new to MEMS IMUs. I have a custom board containing LSM303AGR IMU connected to SAMD21 MCU via I2C.I am using the stm32duino LSM303AGR library.I am having a hard time understanding the Self test procedure. Is it possible to get a simpler procedural explanation? Also,1.Does self test require the device to be immobile?2.Can I take self test readings in mg (GetAxes() method instead of GetAxesRaw()), if so what is ST_X/Y/Z limits in mg? (from table 3 in datasheet is ST_X/Y/Z same as LA_ST?)(according to datasheet LA_ST min = 17LSB max = 360LSB, 1LSb = 3.9mg , so multiply by 3.9 for mg?) Thank you.

Hi,where can i find AN5500: ZSDK API for ZigBee® on STM32WB Series, referenced in AN5492 to be available on www.st.com?Regards, Rainer

1st question: How many numbers will be saved in RAM?2nd question: Is it possible to get more accurate data by decreasing the ADC sampling rate.Thank you.P.S: I'm sorry, if this is a very simple question but I am a structural engineer and nobody is perfect..

I'm working on a project where I have to drive a brushless motor. I'm using a NUCLEOF302R8 + X-Nucleo IHM08M1 with STM32CubeExpansion_SPN8_V1.0.2. I can't control my engine because I don't know how to modify the parameters contained in the MC_SixStep_param.h file. Is there an application note explaining how these parameters affect?

Hello, I try to control a motor using STEVAL-SPIN3201, a hall sensor and a encoder (in position control). I compile the generated files (generated via ST motor control workbench) via make. In speed position based on hall-sensor, the compilation work and I'm able to control the motor without problem.Moreover, when I add auxiliary sensor (Main: encoder, aux: hall sensor) and I start the compilation, I a have a RAM overflow during linking (overflow of 8bytes). To add the sensor we have modified the board (remove potentiometer) but I cannot found the related option in ST motor control workbench. Do you know if adding a second sensor on STEVAL-SPIN3201 is possible and if yes what do I have to change to make it works?Thanks in advance

Hi,Our board is base on STM32MP157C-DK2 and the HW difference are...1. DK2 CN7 USB Type-C is replaced by micro USB and removed STUSB1600.2.
