Hello,I have a nucleo-L152RE development board.I don't have an annmeter. What would be the best way to check my microcontroller is in sleep mode? Or can it be done at all? I've installed openocd and gdb but I've barely used any of them so far, so maybe the solution is obvious, or maybe it can't be done at all.Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi!I have tried to use I2S onn STM32H750 and DMA has no success. I can transfer without problem data by standard HAL_I2S_Transmit but HAL_I2S_Transmit_DMA results in Error callback being fired although function itself completes with HAL_OK.I2S Config hi2s2.Instance = SPI2; hi2s2.Init.Mode = I2S_MODE_MASTER_TX; hi2s2.Init.Standard = I2S_STANDARD_PCM_SHORT; hi2s2.Init.DataFormat = I2S_DATAFORMAT_32B; hi2s2.Init.MCLKOutput = I2S_MCLKOUTPUT_ENABLE; hi2s2.Init.AudioFreq = I2S_AUDIOFREQ_48K; hi2s2.Init.CPOL = I2S_CPOL_LOW; hi2s2.Init.FirstBit = I2S_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hi2s2.Init.WSInversion = I2S_WS_INVERSION_DISABLE; hi2s2.Init.Data24BitAlignment = I2S_DATA_24BIT_ALIGNMENT_LEFT; hi2s2.Init.MasterKeepIOState = I2S_MASTER_KEEP_IO_STATE_DISABLE;DMA Config: hdma_spi2_tx.Instance = DMA1_Stream5; hdma_spi2_tx.Init.Request = DMA_REQUEST_SPI2_TX; hdma_spi2_tx.Init.Direction = DMA_MEMORY_TO_PERIPH; hdma_spi2_tx.Init.PeriphInc = DMA_PINC_DISABLE; hdma_spi2_tx.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE; h

Hi, I am familiar with STM32F407 from my previous works. In that 40xx family, it was easy to understand, there are AFRL and AFRH registers by which user can select the desired AF for each and every pin independently.However, now, I am working with STM32F103C8T6 MCU, and even I read the related docs several times, I really could not understand how to ensure to assign only the desired AF to a pin.Please see the visualization here. Let me take PB6 for example, I see that, both I2C1 and TIM4 Channel 1 is related with PB6, but I want to use it for I2C1. What should I do to ensure there won't be any conflicts? Do I have to remap TIM4 manually to anywhere else? What will happen if I don't do that?If TIM4 and USART1 is not activated(their clocks), then can I say it is safe to rely on the fact that the only active AF on PB6 is I2C1 SCL ?Thanks in advance.

In a time I set my STM32CubeIDE to remember to launch STM32CubeMX every time I want to create a new project, now I would like to disable this option but I have not found a solution about how to reset it or disable this option.I have reinstalled several times the IDE without success, checked some files in the system but not found any relation to that option.Do you know how to do it?

Hello,in the user manual of my Nucleo L152RE, on page 16, it's written:"""Cuttable PCBThe STM32 Nucleo board is divided into two parts: ST-LINK part and target STM32 part.The ST-LINK part of the PCB can be cut out to reduce the board size. In this case theremaining target STM32 part can only be powered by VIN, E5V and 3.3V on ST morphoconnector CN7 or VIN and 3.3V on Arduino connector CN6. It is still possible to use theST-LINK part to program the main STM32 using wires between CN4 and SWD signalsavailable on ST morpho connector (SWCLK CN7 pin 15 and SWDIO CN7 pin 13)."""(source: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00105823-stm32-nucleo64-boards-mb1136-stmicroelectronics.pdf#page=16 )So I'd be very happy to cut my board into two parts. I could power the MCU part with a 3V battery when I only need to run my program. And I could connect the MCU back to the ST-LINK part using jumper cables when I need to flash the microcontroller again. That would be awesome.But I'm not sure I un

Hello,I am building an IoT level sensor for a vessel. The vessel is emptied at the bottom, and I would like to sense how much stuff is still in there from the top lid. The tank is approximately 40cm deep, and 10x10cm wide and it is dark inside.Considering the wide viewing angle of the proximity sensors (25 degrees) and the narrow vessel, I'm worried that I will get into trouble with false readings, so I was wondering if I could limit the view of the sensor, or that you might know another way of reasonably accurately (+/- 0.5cm) measure the amount of salt in the vessel.Kind regards,Samot

Can anyone tell me the difference between those functions:HAL_I2C_Master_ReceiveHAL_I2C_Mem_ReadThe problem with HAL_I2C_Master_Receive is that it accepts too few parameters (hi2c, DevAddress, pData, Size, Timeout).I don't know how to tell the memory address of the register in the slave to be read!!So, in my case I am trying to read data from LSM303DLHC whose DevAddress is 0X33 and the acceleration data are to read from the following addresses: 0X28 -> 2Dh (i.e. 6 bytes).Thanks in advance for any help or if there is a ready example project.

I"m new to ST website. I tried purchasing this board but I could only find older board. I need to purchase this newer board.

Hey hi , Can anybody suggest why ST25R3911B is giving following errors:I am using "exampleRfalNfca.c" example provided in RFAL library doc.The ST25R3911B IC is initializing properly for some initial functions but while starting field on and timer it gives some error as described below:rfalInitialize() ; No ErrorrfalFieldOff() : No ErrorrfalNfcaPollerInitialize() : No ErrorrfalFieldOnAndStartGT() : Gives "ReturnCode" error as "0x0C" After debugging in this function , found out following problems:rfalSetAnalogConfig() : Gives no errorst25r3911PerformCollisionAvoidance() : this returns with the error "0x0C"And further after in main loop , the Poller fucntion "rfalNfcaPollerTechnologyDetection()" is returning with error "0x03".Need some help to debug what causing the problem.

I'm working on a simple, bare metal application where right now I am passing in values read from the two ADCs and then write the same values to the corresponding DACs. I have confirmed by stepping through the code and using a volt meter.The configuration of the DAC is as follows:static void MX_DAC_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN DAC_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END DAC_Init 0 */ DAC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN DAC_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END DAC_Init 1 */ /** DAC Initialization  */ hdac.Instance = DAC; if (HAL_DAC_Init(&hdac) != HAL_OK) {  Error_Handler(); } /** DAC channel OUT1 config  */ sConfig.DAC_Trigger = DAC_TRIGGER_NONE; sConfig.DAC_OutputBuffer = DAC_OUTPUTBUFFER_ENABLE; if (HAL_DAC_ConfigChannel(&hdac, &sConfig, DAC_CHANNEL_1) != HAL_OK) {  Error_Handler(); } /** DAC channel OUT2 config  */ if (HAL_DAC_ConfigC

I have code running on an STM32H750 which uses the HAL drivers to stream audio from a microSD (SDMMC + IDMA) to a DAC (SAI + DMA). I’m doing mostly mostly 16-sector reads, at a rate of about 300 reads per second (28 16-sector reads every 93 ms). The card handles this easily with a 50MHz bus speed. I’m using sine-wave audio data and monitoring the output with a spectrum analyzer so that any issues show up easily.All reads are using AXI memory, and I have an MPU region enabled properly for this memory and am doing cache management, as I have done successfully with other STM32 processors. Everything works great with one exception.My issue is that about once every hour or two (or more), the HAL_SD_ReadBlocks_DMA() function times out. By “times out?, I mean that the read multi-block command is sent and a correct response is received, but the subsequent interrupt never occurs, and the code waiting for the read completion (by checking a flag cleared in the SD interrupt), times out.The HAL fu

Hi ST Team,I have used STM32L562-edk EVK for code development. I have configured gpio as a interrupt pin. When Interrupt is generated I have not getting interrupt in ISR routine. I have validated pin using read the gpio and get as expected behavior. I have implemented below ISR.void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){ // Toggle LED}Please help me to debug this issue.

Hi, I've some questions about STM32F411VET and UART2.Is UART2 in this MCU native or emulated?I ask this, because despite I use an interrupt to receive data through calling to "void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart)" callback, I had to lower speed to 38400 to avoid data loss.Also I have to wait 400ms between sending one packet and another, otherwise the data vanishes into thin air.Is normal this?Thanks.Regards.

Hi,I use the following setup:EVAL BOARD: NUCLEO-G070RBMCU: STM32G070RBSystem Clock: PLLCLK (source HSI) running at 60 MhzUART: UART2, UART2 Clock: SYSCLK (60 Mhz)UART Buad Rate: 460800I'm using UART RX IDLE Interrupt with DMA for receiving input data of unknown length from serial port. But for some data transfers, the RX IDLE interrupt is getting triggered more than once, before completion of an entire input data transfer, causing the interrupt handler to process a single input as multiple inputs. I tried with another NUCLEO-G070RB board, and a different serial port, still issue occurs.The UART communication is through the USB Micro-B connector on the NUCLEO. So I dont use separate connection from UART2 pins for communication.The issue never occurs if I lower my baud rate to 115200 instead of 460800. Also the same code works without any issues even with baud rate of 460800 in a custom board that uses the same MCU (different package), and using the same UART controller (UART2).Is 4

set GPIO Output as pull down on STM32CubeMX.HAL_GPIO_Write( Module_PWR_CTR_Port1, Module_PWR_CTR_Pin, RESET ); HAL_GPIO_Write( Module_PWR_CTR_Port2, Module_PWR_CTR_Pin, RESET ); HAL_GPIO_Write( Module_PWR_CTR_Port3, Module_PWR_CTR_Pin, RESET );   __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WU); HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();when Room temperature, even in STANDBYMode keep GPIO Output Low, but operation in minus 12 degrees Celsius, gpio output level was 1.2V ~ 1.8V. and if come back to room temperature, gpio output level was 0.2V. I am asking if I am setting something wrong, or if it is difficult to maintain the output in StandByMode.

I want to use a button, than I need button click and unclick time execute virtual function. How can it?Thanks.

Is there any code to convert uint32_t data type to Char array data type so it can be used for display in LCD?

Hello!I found a bug with the Nucleo STM32 F401RE + FreeRTOS + STM32CubeMX 1.4.0. It gives hardfault error. I have posted all information here:https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/512612/hardfault-with-freertos-at-stm32-new-projectThank you.

FreeRTOS is currently active. However, the problem occurs before FreeRTOS initialization (before calling osKernelInitialize ()).The board used is a board written by hand rather than a NUCLEO board. When I activate my Peripheral devices other than USB-PD and run the FreeRTOS application, I confirm that it works correctly.The point where the problem occurs is inside the USB_DisableGlobalInt function. In the process of masking the interrupt mask to USBx-> CNTR, all interrupts are immediately interrupted (including the SWD of ST-LINK) and the chip is reset after a certain time.Here is the call stack at the time of occurrence:[0] from 0x08004b88 in USB_DisableGlobalInt+0 at Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32g4xx_ll_usb.c:117[1] from 0x08004aa0 in HAL_PCD_Init+28 at Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32g4xx_hal_pcd.c:169[2] from 0x08000908 in MX_USB_PCD_Init+32 at Src/main.c:483[3] from 0x080009b2 in main+34 at Src/main.c:122The code for each call stack is as follows:[0] 106 HAL_
