Hello, I am trying to start the bootloader on a STM32F427 to program the MCU via USB port in DFU mode. I am not new to this topic because I wrote some programs for STM32F072 where I can successfully start the bootloader and take externally control of the MCU via serial port (there I don't need to program the boards via USB). In that products my software calls correctly the bootloader that works without any problem. On this new design there is a bigger STM32F427; this time I need to program the MCU via the USB port and not via an UART. Here is the problem:If I start the bootloader using hardware signals (BOOT0 and RESET), all works as it should do: using STM32CubeProgrammer I can take control both via an UART or via the USB port.If I start the bootloader by software, STM32CubeProgrammer can take control only via the UART: the USB port doesn't start in DFU mode so the programmer doesn't find it.After many attemps, to have a clean situation I finally put the bootloader call as the very fir

Good DayI am programming a stm32wb55rg to start upDo some ADC samplingStart up BLE using    APPE_Init(); Load all values in characteristic. And then i sit in loop running:UTIL_SEQ_Run( UTIL_SEQ_DEFAULT );After 60 seconds I put device in standby mode. I am happy using standby mode and have device have to reset completely when wakeup. I Use a check on power up to see if device is woken up from standby,   NVIC_SystemReset();     The device works great and my standby wakeup is RTC clock for 15 minutes.I also want to wake up device using wakeup pin 3.I have a 100k external pull down resistor on this pin. When I use a bare program wakeup pin works 100%As soon as i add UTIL_SEQ_Run( UTIL_SEQ_DEFAULT ); to my while loop , wakeup pin does NOT wake up mcu anymore. While RTC wakeup from standby works. Here is my standby code ,partly taken from standby example:/-------------------------   /* The Following Wakeup sequence is highly

I'm planning to use a cheap STM32 board (either with a F103 or F401/11) as a joystick/rotary encoder controller for arcade games. I already have a working proof of concept using the old STM32duino cores (not HAL based), but I prefer to use the HAL environment to avoid more abstraction levels.I used an existing example as a starting point (https://github.com/miniwinwm/BluePillDemo/tree/master/BluePillDemo_USB_HID), and I run into a problem trying to send data at high rates.I'm using a Windows PC with mouserate.exe (http://tscherwitschke.de/old/mouseratechecker.html) to check effective rates. Windows can handle 1000Hz rates for mice.First, I modified usbd_conf.h and changed#define HID_FS_BINTERVAL   0x1 // was 0x0Ato increase the reported polling rate to 1000HzThen I put the following code in my main.cint main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ // in the mouse report byte 0 contains 3 button state bits // byte 1,2,3 is x, y, thumbwheel movement uint8_t mouse_report[5] =

So total rookie here. I thought that if I delete a widget and generate code any code related to the deleted widget would also be removed. But in the .cpp file of the screen where the widget used to be, I'm seeing methods called on the object that doesn't exist! Here's the errors I'm seeing Here's some of the code that shouldn't be thereDo I have to delete the unneeded code manually?

I need to generate font binaries for all characters, because the device accepts external inputs which is unknown at compile time and can use any characters, including chinese and japanese.TouchGFX seems to generate font files only for characters that I use in software at compile time? Is this correct? How can I generate full font files? Thank you!

Does it have internal pull-up? Or do I need to connect that to a pin? Is there a way to "burn" the i2c address?I'm asking as I have a design where I left that pin open. On some devices I have I2C communication issues, and I am asking myself if they could be related to this issue ...

I have created a basic project using STM32Cube IDE to turn on LED ON and OFF.Successfully compiled. But when I debug the project, the processor jumps to the Hard Fault Handler. So I checked the Fault Analyzer window, it shows that BUS,Memory or Usage Fault forced and PC points to the this function "prvPortStartFirstTask".I am not sure that what kind of problem has occurred.

I have build application using TouchGFX and STM32F746 based on kit STM32F746G from ST.Because in my screen, i have some data setting when screen startup, so i want to these data don't lost when power off, it look like i can save data in eeprom of STM32F746,I have test with example in folder STM32CUBE but it not success.last time i can using flash of STM32F103C8 for eeprom, but on STM32F746 it using TouchGFX and area of Flash very different with STM32F103C8, so i don't know what should i do.Anyone can help me for this case?Size of Data i want to save it about 100-200 byte. Thanks and best regards.

I need to select a chip that offers me a BLE 5.0. What is the advantage of using STM32WB chips, rather than using other modules like Telit, Ebyte etc. Okay STM32 has CubeMX and easy implementation just as said in application notes, workshops etc. but in forums, people are complaining about how to make a simple custom BLE service on later firmware packages. What is ST's strategy? While there are a lot of modules that have bunch of "beginner" application notes and simple USART protocol, why would I select STM32WB?Just asking for company. No offense, big fan of ST.Thanks.Edit: The project that I'm working on is now divided into two ways: I will choose STM32WB or, standard STM32 chip + BLE module.

Is it possible to draw a line on the graphic memory using the DMA2D unit of the STM32 microcontroller?I want to write a function that draws a line on the LCD with high speed and high performance. Can this be done using a DMA2D unit?

The value of Rdson_LS in the L6983 datasheet is 0.85 ohms. Since this is many times higher than the Rdson_HS of 0.13 ohms, is this a typo?

I ran timer OC mode on PA8 (TIM1_CH1) on STM32f407VGT6 using HAL and it works fine. Then I decided to set up it by means of LL and there is not any output on PA8. I checked my code with Example_LL projects of STM32F411RE-Nucleo in ST F4 repository. It seems that I have done any thing it needs! My project files are attached. Now please I have two questions:Why does not my code work? Are the Example_LL projects reliable? Thanks.

Hi!I am part of a research project which utilizes the X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 and ST25R3911B-DISCO boards, as well as ST25DV04K chip, for exploring Fast Transfer Mode (FTM) and I am in urgent need for your help in order to being able to proceed. Unfortunately, neither was I able to find documentation about FTM and its respective SPI commands at the reader side, nor could I find anything about FTM in the STSW-ST25R002 sources. Nevertheless, in the ST25R3911B Discovery GUI, provided in STSW-ST25R001, FTM is implemented and it is working as intended. Even the search for the respective command codes for FTM Read Message Length (0xAB) and FTM Read Message (0xAC) ended in no results whatsoever.I hope you can help me out and thanks in advance!

I need an information that where it is placed on the motor?

When I simulate STM32401RCT6 with IAR，the MCU is on reset state；IAR shows the value of GPIOB register ：ODR=0x00000280；but refer to the reference manual ，the reset value of GPIOx_ODR=0x00000000.Did I do something wrong when simulated? Thanks very much.

Context:Here's an example ITM configuration with port 3 enabled:When tracing is enabled in the STM32CubeIDE "SWV ITM Data Console" (click on red circle to "Start Trace"), the bits in the ITM->TER register are set as expected. In this case, value 8 indicates that port 3 is enabled:Bug:But when tracing is disabled, the bits in the ITM->TER register are set to an unexpected (and annoying) default value of 1. This indicates that port 0 is enabled, which is definitely undesired. This is problematic for common ITM logging code, which checks if the port is enabled before writing to it. void itmSendBuf(const char *buf, size_t len) { // Check that ITM is enabled and port 0 is enabled if ((ITM->TCR & ITM_TCR_ITMENA_Msk) && (ITM->TER & (1 << 0))) { for (uint i = 0; i < len; i++) { ITM_SendChar(buf[i]); } } }The printing loop is always executed, even when the user disables tracing.A workaround is to configure an additional dummy port (port 2 in this case

I deleted the installation folders of the STM32CubeIDE since I was having trouble with the GDB Server and did not find solution online. Now, my problems is trying to re-install the IDE.I get this message:"you already have version 1.4.0 of STM32CUBEIDE. Please uninstall this version and then run the installer again."I already checked the path and the AppData folder. I don't know where to find the lasting files to delete.Thank you for helping.

Hello, I am using the powerSTEP01 chip with VDD = 3.3V and VREG = 3.3V. I would like to know if I can directly drive the "SW" (switch) input pin with a 5 Volt logic level signal. Will the pin be damaged if I drive it with a 5 Volt active level? Please advise. Thanks.Mohan

HiI imported simple CNN to STM32L462RCT using STM32CUBE-AI v5.1.2 ApplicationTemplateI found that compressing the model has no effect on inference time. The aiRun procedure runs for 115ms both in 8-bit compression and "none" configurations although the accuracy drops a bit.I thought compressing float network parameters to uint8_t would not only save the memory but also speed up the inference. So, is compressing the model supposed to speed up the inference?

I want to know the memory size of STM32MP151CAA3 that Coprocessor(Cortex-M4) can use.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Boot_chains_overview#STM32MP15_boot_chainthis wiki page says that coprocessor(Cortex-M4) program loaded in MCUSRAM(384kB).Does this means that the maximum size of "program and using data" of Coprocessor(Cortex-M4) program is up to 384kB?In this case, If I want to run a program with a size larger than 384kB on coprocessor(Cortex-M4), is there workaround such as using external memory?Best regards.H. I'm bringing up a custom STM32MP15x-based design, and I'm encountering what looks like stack corruption issues in U-Boot (and I can't get a kernel to boot).Symptoms:I've enabled early debug printing, and get the following output:U-Boot SPL 2020.04-stm32mp-r1 (Aug 15 2020 - 13:11:31 -0500) Model: STMicroelectronics STM32MP157A-DK1 Discovery Board RAM: DDR3-1066/888 bin G 1x4Gb 533MHz v1.45 Trying to boot from MMC1At this point, the console hangs for a really long time. Looking at the UART on a logic analyzer, I see that during this time, it's printing seemingly gibberish characters at 1750 baud (which my USB-to-serial converter is ignoring due to the framing errors caused by the wrong baud). I did some brief JTAG investigations, and somewhere along the way, something calls printf() on a character buffer that's corrupted (so it doesn't encounter a null-terminating character for a very, very, very long time).Eventually, it will print something like this:▒▒*aQ▒rrr▒In: serial Out: serial Er

I have connected a sine wave of amplitude 3V with 1.5V shifted above the zero to 12-bit ADC channel by using dsPIC33FJ32MC204 controller and stored in an array. I want to detect the max value out of five samples because after the five samples my data is repeating, so please give me any suggestion on it. I am getting output as a zero.

Hi,is it possible to use the STPMIC1 on an I2C Bus where another slave does clock stretching? In the datasheet it says that the STPMIC uses the SCL to shift data. For my understanding the clock strechting of the other slave shouldn't bother the STPMIC cause it is not addressed when the clock stretching occurs.Does anyone has experience with that?
