Dear ST Support Team,We are currently working with the STM32N657X0H3Q1 controller and configuring TouchGFX to use an external RAM device. The external memory used in our design is S80KS5123GABHB020 (512 MB Octal RAM) connected via XSPI. The external RAM is intended to be used for TouchGFX frame buffers and graphics-related data. While configuring TouchGFX with the external memory in STM32CubeMX / application code, we need to set the base address of the external RAM. However, we would like clarification on the following point:What is the correct memory-mapped base address that should be configured for the external RAM (S80KS5123GABHB020) when used with the STM32N657X0H3Q1 for TouchGFX ?Is this address fixed by the STM32N6 memory map, or does it depend on the XSPI instance and configuration (XSPI1 / XSPI2)?Are there any specific recommendations or constraints for using this external RAM as TouchGFX frame buffer memory?Your guidance on the correct address configuration and any best practice

Is there any example how to create any simple animation? I would like to get object in motion using static isometric view. Object based on the few outlines of rectangles outlines with painter or putting the texture on it. I need to rotate one pseudo 3D rectangle in reference to the other. It is not so hard for 500MHz CPU, the issue comes with additional effects like lighting but it is not so important.

STM32H747XIH6 touchGFX, project root directory, two seperated CM4 and CM7, touchGFX under CM7, when touchGFX designer create code， always to search .cproject under root directory, (.ioc is here, but no .cproject, only .project), under CM7 exist .cproject and .project! this cause touchGFX designer code generate fail!

After installing under STM32Cube key actions, and all other headings, "There is no data provider registered that can provide view data." is displayed. I have tried adding the path to Cube MX. In the STM32Cube Core plugin, runtime status shows not yet activated. Manually activating does not work. Running on Windows 11 arm64.If I roll back to a version 2, everything seems to function, however I need version 3 working. Any suggestions?

Hi Team,This is Vamsi. I am using a smart display with the STM32C091 MCU and would like to implement OTA updates for this chipset. Could you please suggest the best possible way to achieve this?

Question moved from this post. Hi @mƎALLEm ,I am using STMCubeIDE with cubeMX, in that there is no such configuration for VREFBUF. is there any alternative way for that?

Is it possible to re-trigger HAL_TIM_DMABurst_MultiWriteStart() from software? Currently it works only once (the first time) for me. Using TIM1 freq/duty-cycle:HAL_TIM_DMABurst_MultiWriteStart( &htim1, TIM_DMABASE_ARR, // Base = ARR TIM_DMA_UPDATE, // Trigger = update event (uint32_t*)rampBurst, // Source buffer TIM_DMABURSTLENGTH_3TRANSFERS,// ARR + RCR + CCR1 N_STEPS*3 // Number of bursts ); __HAL_TIM_ENABLE_DMA(&htim1, TIM_DMA_UPDATE);This produces a duty-cycle and frequency change over a certain amount of time, let's say 10ms, after the 10ms, I would like to disable the PWM output by setting the duty-cycle to 0:__HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1, 0);Then, I would like to re-trigger this each 100ms from software. My DMA setting is set to "Normal". The value of RCR is always 0 in the rampBurst array.

I have studied using the STM32F429I-DISC1 board with TouchGFX and can already implement buttons, LEDs, and ADC. However, I have a project that requires using a different LCD that uses the SSD2119. Can I directly replace the LCD, or are there additional parts of the code that need to be modified? Please guide me.

Hi, I'm performing for a customer a signal integrity simulation involving ST25R200 (SPI interface). Is there any IBIS model available for this component (or ST25R100)? Thanks, RegardsRoberto

Hi,I'm working on a new design using a STM32H523VET6 in which we want to use USB host & device functionality. Whether the board should function as a host or device is determined when it is switched on and will not be changed during operation. As far as I understand I don't need an external crystal for both modes host & device? But what I don't understand is  how to configure the clock recovery system CRS. Do I need the SOF signal, but this seems only available when in device mode.So my questions are:1. Is it true that I don't need external crystal for USB host & device modes?2. What is needed from clock recovery system SRS (SOF signal...)?Thanks,Roger

Hi,if I connect the Cubeprogrammer via jlink to the custom board (STM32H562) and want to reset the option bytes by menu-selection "Reset MCU to factory settings", the process don't finish because the mentioned error pops-up.Is this caused due to a missing signal on the debug connector? The problem is now, that the mcu is in provisioning state and I want set it back to open state.Kindly regards,Stefan

I'm using ADC with DMA in a large project, and faced some very strange problem: If I'm using DMA2 Channel 6 - ADC works correctly If I'm using DMA2 Channel 1 - the SW end up in Hard Fault The configuration is default. This is how I start the conversation  HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); // Start the ADC in DMA mode HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*) g_ADC_values, ADC_BUFFER_LENGTH);

Hi, in this STM32L4Q5RGT6 microcontroller of (LQFP48) package how many SPI, QSPI should be connected.

I'm using a stm32G0 with a UCPD and i'm trying to figure out if the Dead battery pin have any other benefit then just saving the need for 2 resisters on the board.   From my understanding i could create the same functionality of the dead battery pin by just connecting the CC lines to ground with a 5.1K resister.

Hi I have a diode which i believe is a zener diode as the marking on the bottom line is zthe 3 lines are as followtop line=  st and a 6 at the endmiddle line= CU6bottom line= z 721i need to know what diode it is and what voltage and current value it is, thanks in advance

CubeMX 6.16.1 MacOS 15.7.3 IntelSTM32H563ZITxI have a project using FreeRTOS with 5 tasks. If you go into <Categories><X-CUBE_FREERTOS>Choose <Tasks and Queues> click on one of the tasks. An Edit panel comes up to help you set all sorts of stuff.Click on "Task name" column header to re-sort the list according to task name and click on one of the tasks. The Edit panel comes up for the wrong task. The changes you make get applied to the task shown, but the wrong task gets shown. That is all

I have configured the comparator 2 PB6 on the STM32G071RB Nucleo board. It is configured for rising edge interrupt.  As soon as HAL_COMP_Start is called on the COMP you can see the EXTI rising edge interrupt flag immediately go high. (well not immediately, it happens when HAL_COMP_Start is in its startup wait loop so presumably as soon as the COMP peripheral physically starts up.) This happens even if I change it to falling edge but I guess that should be expected. but certainly not reliably both!It seems that this is how the MCU works as I can't find any obvious mistakes in the LL or HAL driver startup function. I have seen several posts to this effect over the last 4-5 years with 1 to 2 replies but no solution.  I think the reference manual needs to mention that this will happen as it seems to be an MCU behavior. Is it only the G0?The COMP output also triggers. But the input does not move. My guess is that when COMP is activated the initial value of the negative input

A while ago I auto updated to 2.0.0. Prior to that, I was able to change the repository location. The instructions were nicely noted here: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/how-to-change-the-repository-directory-location/m-p/114938 Now with 2.0.0, the Firmware Updater option is missing from from Windows -> Preferences:  I don't see anything listed in the release notes document found here: https://www.st.com/resource/en/release_note/rn0114-stm32cubeide-release-v200-stmicroelectronics.pdf Has this functionality been completely removed and we're now forced to have our repository in our User account folder on Windows? FWIW, I also don't see a way of changing it in CubeMX. Thanks, C-Coder

Pull field is not set on UART8 GPIO when configured as single-wire.STM32H743 / STM32H753.

I need to save power in a project; the system will turn on when shaken. I need to configure INT1 pin to leave the LDO open for 15-20 seconds. Conditions:1- Did the device move? (acceleration)2- Are the x, y, and z axes in the correct position? If conditions 1 and 2 are met, set INT1 high for 15 seconds. Is this possible? Are there any documents available on how to use int1 and int2?

Hello STM Community,I am facing a GPIO output issue on the STM32 NUCLEO-WL55JC2 board and would like some clarification.Test case:I am using the following line of code to set a GPIO pin HIGH:  HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_0, GPIO_PIN_SET); // LED ON Observation on different boards: NUCLEO-F446RE:Same code used.GPIO pin goes HIGH correctly.External LED connected to the pin turns ON.Multimeter shows ~3.3 V on the pin. NUCLEO-WL55JC2:Same code used.Code flashes successfully, no errors.GPIO pin does not show any voltage when measured with a multimeter.External LED connected to the same pin does not turn ON.Onboard LEDs (LD1, LD2, LD3) work correctly.GPIO configuration:Pin configured as GPIO Output (Push-Pull) in CubeMX.No alternate function selected. No pull-up or pull-down enabled.Board powered via USB.STM32CubeIDE version: v1.19Key concern:Even after calling HAL_GPIO_WritePin(..., GPIO_PIN_SET), the GPIO pin on NUCLEO-WL55JC2 does not show 3.3 V,

Hello ST Community,Based on a photo found on the internet of the LIS3DH chip and a comparison with the package information in the datasheet, I found a discrepancy in the footprint. The datasheet appears to show the pin-1 mark on the opposite side compared to the photo. I also found differences between two different online libraries that you recommend on your website.I am pretty sure that the correct position is as shown in the photo or in the Ultra Librarian library, but could you please clarify the correct location of the pin-1 mark, both on the top of the IC and on the bottom of the IC?Many thanks.Internet Photo:Datasheet page 50 (LGA-16 package information)SymacSys library ( https://componentsearchengine.com/ )Ultra Librarian 3D model (TOP, Opacity 25%)What do you think @Federica Bossi ? ;)

Hi Sir,1. Regarding Initialization (Absolute Orientation)In my application, I need to obtain an absolute orientation (Roll, Pitch, and Yaw) relative to the Earth's frame. Is my understanding correct that the Initial Quaternion must be computed using both Accelerometer and Magnetometer data (as per DT0058 Step 4) to establish the starting reference?Since the gyroscope only measures angular rates, is it true that a 6-axis (Acc+Gyro) initialization alone cannot provide an absolute Yaw/Heading reference?2. Regarding DT0060 Step 2 I would like to confirm the definitions and implementation of the mixing process:Q1 Definition: Is Q1 the "dynamic quaternion" that is updated via gyroscope integration in Step 1?Q2 Definition: Is Q2 the "reference quaternion" calculated from the accelerometer and magnetometer data, used to correct the drift of Q1?Weighting Parameter (alpha): For a handheld device, what is the recommended range for the alpha parameter in the formula Q = Q1*alpha + Q2*(1-alpha) to

Hello, I'm trying to use ODR-triggered to get data aligned with my clock. I'm sending a square wave 50% duty cycle period 2000ms over INT2 pin, yet when I poll the IMU every 50 ms the accel and gyro data changes, even though it should be aligned to the edges every 1000 ms.I've double checked the registers to confirm they are correct and have an analyzer attached to verify INT2 pin is being sent signals. // init.c lsm6dsv320x_block_data_update_set(&data->ctx, PROPERTY_ENABLE); lsm6dsv320x_xl_data_rate_set(&data->ctx, LSM6DSV320X_ODR_OFF); lsm6dsv320x_gy_data_rate_set(&data->ctx, LSM6DSV320X_ODR_OFF); lsm6dsv320x_xl_mode_set(&data->ctx, LSM6DSV320X_XL_ODR_TRIGGERED_MD); lsm6dsv320x_gy_mode_set(&data->ctx, LSM6DSV320X_GY_ODR_TRIGGERED_MD); lsm6dsv320x_xl_full_scale_set(&data->ctx, LSM6DSV320X_2g); lsm6dsv320x_gy_full_scale_set(&data->ctx, LSM6DSV320X_2000dps); lsm6dsv320x_xl_data_rate_set(&data->ctx, LSM6DSV320X_ODR_AT_240Hz); l

I'm using STM32CubeMX for STM32N657x0HxQ controller. I would like to use ST ISP Library to handle MB1854 camera module. But I could not find the X-CUBE-ISP in STM32CubeMX Pinout & Configuration page, which is as follows. So I tried to import x-cube-isp.zip file downloaded from GitHub. But I came across the following error message. My STM32CubeMX version is Version 6.16.1 for Windows 11.
