I want to learn that Can we use 4x I2C communication protocol in STM32F407?

Hi.According to the DS of the LPS33W - the Reflow profile should be according to JEDEC J-STD-020 , with no actual determination of the profile.we had several boards assembled , and with very little force applied, the sensor disintegrated - the metal part from the plastic socket.I suspect it might be the reflow profile that weaken the glue and caused this disintegration. Is there a recommended profile for the LPS33W?We have used before that the STEVAL-MKI205V1 - which is the LPS33W EVB ,And had no such issue. The pic below is of an actual reflow performed on the boards.Thanks.

Hi all, I just thought I'd add to the list of questions about USB! :grinning_face_with_sweat:I read AN4879 and it says "when the host presence is detected by the device, the device connects its pull up resistor". This is very clear - first detect the host, second activate the pull-up. What actually happens in the Cube generated code though is that the USB device is initialised at boot and the embedded pull-up is immediately activated, whether a cable is attached or not. This is triggered by a chain of function calls:MX_USB_DEVICE_Init() -> USBD_Start() -> USBD_LL_Start() -> HAL_PCD_Start() -> USB_DevConnect() -> USBx->BCDR |= (uint16_t)USB_BCDR_DPPU;This code is Cube generated so if I remove the call to USB_Start() it will just get added back in next time I make a change.Should I call USBD_Stop() straight after the USBD_Start() or is there a different way to go about this? Then use my vbus detect pin to call USBD_Start() when the cable is plugged in. A second and

How may I obtain the P-Nucleo-LRWAN2 pack, my special interrest is the Gateway.

The documentation for STM32WB55 Nucleo states that a 5.2 stack is available ("comes with") but the BT stack provided in STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.11.0 is a 5.0 stack...Regards,AC

I've got something really screwy going on with the LSM6DSOX chip. I've got it hooked up in simple form using 4 wire SPI mode 0 and 3. I can talk to the chip just fine. Read and write no problem. The first problem is that I want to do a SW reset. Setting the SW_RESET bit in CTRL3 easy enough but the part a) never resets as far as I can tell and b) never clears that bit, ever. Until I write that as 0.The second problem is that I can't get the part to actually start taking accelerometer samples. Because I can't get the part to reset to factory via SW reset, I just wrote factory defaults to all the registers and set it that way. From there I used the following simplistic approach from an ST App Note: Write INT1_CTRL = 01h// Acc data-ready interrupt on INT1Write CTRL1_XL = 60h// Acc = 417 Hz (High-Performance mode)I never see any bits set in STATUS_REG from this or an INT1 signal of any kindWhat can I possibly be doing wrong here? I've tried much more complex stuff than this configuring the

The vertical Line seems to go away when I put a my finger on the LTDC CLK pin. I adjusted the clock frequency to above the minimum (12.5MHz) required for the display, and it still appears. I then added a 40k pulldown resistor to the LTDC CLK pin, and it went away, but I don't see any information anywhwere regarding the addition of the pulldown is an ok solution. I have read another post about the exact same issue, but the issue was closed out with no solution. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am working with lsm6dso sensor for a watch. At the beginning, I am using the follwoing function to get steps in the register. It works in a while loop and can work rightly. int32_t lsm6dso_number_of_steps_get(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint8_t *buff) { int32_t ret;   ret = lsm6dso_mem_bank_set(ctx, LSM6DSO_EMBEDDED_FUNC_BANK); if (ret == 0) { ret = lsm6dso_read_reg(ctx, LSM6DSO_STEP_COUNTER_L, buff, 2); } if (ret == 0) { ret = lsm6dso_mem_bank_set(ctx, LSM6DSO_USER_BANK); } return ret; }Then I want to put this function in another thread. But it seems to work right. It works for a while at first, but after running for some time, the number of steps will automatically reset to zero. I want to know under what condition will the sensor reset. Does the multithread affect its function?

Hi,I have a circuit board that uses STM32F401CEU6, and now I decided to replace it with STM32L433CCT6.I want to know the transplantation method from using STM32F401CEU6 to using STM32L433CCT6 in the program.Regards,Zhao

Hi,I am wondering about an apparent discrepancy in documentation of the pin outs for the Nucleo-H743ZI2 board:The "user manual" for the Nucleo-144 boards, on page 7 has in a footnote that H743ZI has been replaced by the H743ZI2. (Link: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00244518-stm32-nucleo144-boards-mb1137-stmicroelectronics.pdf)In the same manual, the extension pin outs for H743ZI are given on page 32. It is not made clear in this document that the pins outs have actually changed. How do I know this? Because, on purchasing a Nucleo-144 STM32H743 board (with the H743ZI2) I see different extension pin connections for connector 7 (e.g. CN7 - pin 12) specifically. Why has the documentation not been updated to reflect this? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong user manual? Maybe the documentation needs updating to stop people wasting time trying to figure out why things don't work as they should. Best regards,Nat

I am evaluate the STM32MP157C-DV2 board.I tried to disable the automatic start of the weston service by referring to the wiki below.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_stop_and_start_Westonroot@stm32mp1:~# systemctl disable weston@root.serviceroot@stm32mp1:~# rebootbut it does not work properly.Still the weston service will run automatically and a demo application will appear.Status is static after disable as shown below.root@stm32mp1:~# systemctl disable weston@root.serviceroot@stm32mp1:~# systemctl status weston@root.service[[0;1;32m*[[0m weston@root.service - Weston Wayland Compositor (on tty7)   Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/weston@.service; static; vendor preset: disabled)   Active: [[0;1;32mactive (running)[[0m since Fri 2021-03-05 06:00:23 UTC; 16min ago  Main PID: 3884 (weston)   Memory: 792.0K   CGroup: /system.slice/system-weston.slice/weston@root.service      &nbs

I loaded my mobilenetv3 model in STM32CubeAI but when I tried to choose the compression ratio of 4 and 8 to reduce size, the RAM and FLASH requirements are still the same. Also, I optimized my model in tensorflow lite which results in ~2MB, but when I load it into STM32CubeAI, it still reads the original size which is 6MB?Please help.

Hello,I am using slideMenu widget and it works fine. Now I am trying to open this widget by a gesture. Normally I would override gestureEventCallback in my View- and actually I did it but it does not work well. I have two slide menus on top and on the left and if I slide from the left to right at 30o angle I get 2 gestures- HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL, always in the same order therefore it is impossible for me to detect if I should open top or left menu.I came to idea that I can first check the click event for pressed, save the coordinates, wait for gesture event and then wait for released click event- in that combination I am able to get all data to find out if I should open top or left menu. But If I override click event in my view I can not trigger buttons which are present in the view.So my question is- is it possible to, after I trigger view's clickEventHandler pass the event further to trigger next widget in the area where the click occured? Is TouchGFX capable of doing that?

Hi everyone,Thanks in advance for your time.Im starting my first application in ST: a power converter controller. I need to be able to control two three-phase inverters with SPWM modulation, for which I think STM32H743 is the microcontroller I need. It has (as many others) advanced control timers TIM1 and TIM8, but I have a doubt about them:Can each of them generate THREE PWM signals phase-shifted 120º modulated by SPWM, PLUS THREE complementary, for a total of 6? (For example, TIM1_CH1, TIM1_CH1N, TIM2_CH2, TIM1_CH2N, TIM1_CH3, TIM1_CH3N). And same with TIM8 for another 6?As far as I understood, each timer can only generate ONE pulsed signal in all of its channels AND its complementary on its CHX_N channels.Any help, contact or guide will be appreciated since I'm a M.Sc. Student and this is for my master thesis.Thank you!

HiI'm using IAR EW for ARM.I would like to get a simple working project that is made for the STM32F767ZI processor, preferably running on a Nucleo-144 board. The example should only make the initialisation of the processor. I'm making a Bootloader so I don't think I need much more. I'm just worried with putting the Processor clock working.I'll be using FreeRTOS IP stack but for now I only need the processor starting. In there any Wizard for IAR that creates a simple example project running on the Nucleo-144?thanks

Hi everyone,I'm designing my first STM32 design using STM32F103C8and wondering if I can use 2 Ceramic resonators instead of oscillators as shown in my schematic.thanks in advanced!Tommy

I captured it when the device asked for the update but the file may have gotten corrupted. Loaded v3.41 using STLinkv2 and the sensortilebox now appears to be dead. The file I have is 726691 bytes and doesn't appear to work. Sensortile won't boot, no LEDs.thanks, tjm

I'm using a IIS328DQ on I2C buss (400KHz). I've got it set up at +-4g 100Hz samplingIt looks like it's doing it's thing correctly BUT for the z axis value. After the interrupt for data, I'm reading the XYZ outputs (MSB first order) and getting00 50 FE 90 21 10 With the thing sitting mostly flat. X and Y are plausible but Z is 0x2110 meaning that it's like numbers in the 8464 range or 15 bits FS. The datasheet isn't all that clear about how many bits this is, but I'm thinking this is supposed to be +- 11 bits (12 bits signed) FS. This number doesn't agree with the datasheet whereas the X and Y numbers are showing FS to be 11 bits (2048) at 1.05mg/bit correctly...What could this possibly be? Id' expect a solding problem to give me warped X and Y maybe but not Z at 4X what full scale is supposed to be....

Hi all,I read STM32F4 MCU family doesn't support SMBus because of hardware limitations in the I2C cell. For this reason SMBus is not included in the HAL driver. If I choose STM32F439ZI in STM32CubeMX and I activate I2C, I can select between 3 different modes, as shown in the picture below. So I'm very confused. Does STM32F4 family support or not SMBus? Is there STM32F4 family SMBus HAL Driver? Thank youBest regards,Antonio

Hello,Doing a "git diff" on my project IOC file notably highlights these changes:-Mcu.Pin6=PA2-Mcu.Pin7=PA3+Mcu.Pin6=PA0+Mcu.Pin7=PA1Looking at the IOC file, I do not think that these Mcu.PinXXX parameters define the actual pin name associated with a physical pin number. So I am wondering what these Mcu.PinXXX parameters represent. And an even more important question: where are all STM32CubeMX IOC file parameters documented by ST? Googling them leads to no results. Thanks!

Hi All, I created a test project to Wake Up the device from STOP Mode when it receives data over UART. I ported code from "UART_WakeUpFromStopUsingFIFO" available at /STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_L5_V1.3.1/Projects/STM32L562E-DK/Examples/UART/Example project from STM is working as expected. The Device entered STOP Mode and Woke Up when it received data. But, My test project is not working. More Info: 1. The project was created for STM32L562 MCU. 2. Test board is L562-DK3. LED GREEN is not turn ON in my project if USART 1 configured. 4. Wake Up from STOP Mode is not working. 5. Receving bytes over UART is working when I disabled the code to enter STOP Mode ( SystemClock_Config_fromSTOP() ) and Configure the system clock after wake up from STOP Mode ( SystemClock_Config_fromSTOP() ). USART 1 is used. I have attached my project in zip file. Can you advise me, how to resolve it? Thanks
