This is the first time in this forum and want to start working on the ST micro controller. My main aim is a. Buy high end ST evaluation kit and understand the FOC algorithm for PMSM motors. The kit should contain the motor along with evaluation kit.b. I get the source code with the kit and modify the source according to my requirements.Request to please suggest me a motor control evaluation kit. Thanks in advance

Hi,I've implemented the RFAL-HL ( Higher Layer ) based on X-Cube-NFC5 in our project.Currently, the example only provides us with a way to detect tags only. I would like to know, what's the procedure by which we can send an NDEF data packet to a P2P device with RFAL-HL.Regards,Ayush

Hi there, I have a Nucleo-H755ZI-Q and want to get the CDC driver working with USB_FS on the M4 core. I'm having an issue where USB_CoreReset() HAL function times-out waiting for the USB core to reset. Here's the steps I take to create the issue:Download latest CubeMx and firmware packageStart a new project for Nucleo-H755ZI-Q with peripherals set as default. Enable USB_FS on the M4 core and the VCOM middle-ware. Configure clocks so that M7 is at 480MHz, M4 is at 240MHz, running from the 8MHz HSEConfigure USB clock to have 48MHz from PLL 1QGenerate code for CubeIDEThe M7 auto-generated project fails to build with "No rule to make target '../Drivers/STM32H7xx_HAL_Driver/stm32h7xx_hal_eth.c"! .. But I'll tackle that issue later..The M4 project builds and runs. The problem is in USB_CoreReset() at line 196 of stm32h7xx_ll_usb.c. Bit 0 of USBx->GRSTCTL never clears. There doesn't seem to be a CDC example for this Nucleo. I have tried the same process for a Nucleo-F4 I have lying around,

I have a problem where even I already set the FRXTH to 1, the RXNE will automatically RESET after the SPI write data to DR register.I check using DEBUGGING MODE:In main(), I already SET the FRXTH based on the reference manual below: Then, after I write the data into DR register, it SET the RXNE as below: But, after I execute the next instruction, which is not related to any SPI, Len-- to go out from the loop, my RXNE automatically RESET as below:  This cause my code will hang at the SPI check flag status in the SPI ReceiveData.Anyone knows what is the problem? or my SPI_senddata code is problem

In my project,, the tags need to be scanned and sent to our created website,, the data needs to get sent via LAN or wifi using LAN module and esp 32.Our code is written on Arduino IDE.My question is that,, can this reader (ST25RU3993) be interfaced with my system.

For one project we would want to use only de M4 core of the SM32MP157 MPU. We want this because we have no time to learn how to develop the whole application using linux and the whole potential of the MPU, but we would want to have the hardware ready for a future update. We have been trying to use the M4 core in engineering mode, but we have been only able to debug the code. When we unplug the board and replug it the code is not executed. The board that we are using is the STM32MP157A-DK1. Thank you in advance for the help

I am writing a bootloader for an STM32L071CB target. In certain cases this code results in a HardFault, but in other cases it works. I know that this alone indicates that it's probably something to do with the state of the rest of my program, but I can't figure out what that is -- specifically, what is the `signal handler` that is called just before the HardFault? Here is the code causing the problem (`flash_ptr` and `data_ptr` are `uint32_t*` types):HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); for (i = 0; i < len / sizeof(uint32_t); i++) { HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_WORD, (uint32_t)(flash_ptr + i), *(data_ptr + i)); } HAL_FLASH_Lock();As soon as `HAL_FLASH_Program` is entered, I get a HardFault. Specifically, when I step into the function, I get this:WWDG_IRQHandler () at startup_stm32l071xx.S:140 140 b Infinite_LoopIf I write a `HardFault_Handler` then it enters that, so I feel like it's aliasing to WWDG_IRQHandler (WWDG is disabled in my application). So, I have no idea what signal is calling

Using STM32CubeProgrammer to connect to my discovery board. Connection to the board via ST-Link is lost within 30 seconds every time.things I have done:1.) Performed "full chip erase" via the STM32CubeProgrammer application2.) Selected the appropriate external loader for my discovery board3.) Tried to program the included demo file (STM32769I-DISCO_DEMO_V1.0.0_FULL.hex) but it never completes before the board disconnects4.) Tried every combination of the "mode" and "reset mode" selections offered in the application5.) Searched the forums for an answer and posted a support ticket to ST.... no responseDoes anyone have any suggestions of next steps to try??

Hello, I am trying to write a camera image to an SD card.I am able to write and read bmp file from PC for 160x120 sized image. However I can not read bmp file from PC for 320x240 sized image. I used below file header format. Every thing is the same except file header. What could be the problem ?// 320x240 Configstatic uint8_t bmp_header[54]={ 0x42, 0x4D, 0x36, 0x84, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x36, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x28, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x40, 0x10, 0x00, 0x00, 0xF0, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x01, 0x00, 0x18, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x84, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00};// 160x120 Configstatic uint8_t bmp_header[54]={ 0x42, 0x4D, 0x36, 0xE1, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x36, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x28, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0xA0, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x78, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x01, 0x00, 0x18, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0xE1, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0

Recently, I'm working on a 6-layer PCB design of STM32F746BGT6 and 128Mbit SDRAM with LTDC ( 4.3" LCD 800x480) and so far I connected the FMC bus traces with 12mil clearance (Reduce crosstalk) and 6mil width(50-ohm transmission line). My board Stack-up is 1-signal/power 2-ground 3-signal/power 4-ground 5-signal/power 6-ground and noted that FMC signals are in the 3rd and 5th layers.I also do the length matching for all FMC traces to be 70mm but I'm wondering that maybe routing all the traces in such a small area could cause EMI or signal integrity problems? any suggestions from PCB experts will be appreciated./Milad

Trying to port my code to CMSIS-RTOS v2 and running into some missing functionality. I don't see an osThreadSuspendAll() replacement.

Have a project that has been proted from CubeIDE to a more standalone project structure. This because I am requierd to have the project run from other IDEs like C:b or even from a comandline environment only. The project is based on the STM32H743 Porting the project was ok, using the same arm-noen-eabi as cubeIDE do and by using the compiler flags and linker flags as CubeIDE have, and by using the startup and memory map as generated by cubeMX. The project compiles fine and I am able to run the debugger with c:b and stlink/v2, but for some reason there are memory areas that no longer is accessible.I am able to start the debugger and most of the code runs just fine, and dissasembly shows that the two setups generates approximatly the same code, but accessing certain memory areas throws a hardfault. The code is simple enough, copy to local variable whatever the pointer points to.Both projects generates the very same code as seen belowc = *pC; ldr r3, [r7, #32] ldrb r3, [r3, #0] strb r3,

I am trying to resolve this pin mapping for the STM32f767 processor, FMC_D9 is connected to SDRAM so PE12. I am planning to use USB OTG so PA10 will be connected to PA10.So, with the above connection, only the pin is left that is PG12. How to resolve the connection for following features, LTDC_B4, FMC_D9, LTDC_B1, USB_OTG_FS_ID.PIN PE12 - LTDC_B4/FMC_D9PIN PA10 - LTDC_B4/LTDC_B1/USB_OTG_FS_IDPIN PG12 - LTDC_B4/LTDC_B1

I've been trying to get anything on the screen for 2 weeks, several hours of coding/trying/reading/watching a day, and still have nada. Other than manually activating backlight after moving backlight enable resistor to GPIO pin. But my primary question for now is the following: I can start the project in CubeIDE with initializing peripherals for my Disco board, but if I don't, there is no way for me to find all the LCD specs for DSI/LTDC.What modes does my screen support? What latencies does it support (CAS latencies and stuff)? What DSI frequency is max? This information is not anywhere to be found. It's not in any datasheets, both MCU and disco's, it's not in any reference manuals, it's impossible to google it out (I spent a good hour trying all possible word combinations and didn't get anything near what I need). So where do I get the specs of the display of STM32F469i disco?

In detail glance on RM0368 Reference manual. I am getting confused while enablingCC1P -Capture/Compare 1 output Polarity(11: noninverted/both edges) in TIMx_CCER Register(STM32F401RE) .Whether it is possible to change Output Polarity into both Rising/Falling Edges ?

Hello, I have a doubt about the voltage tolerance of STM32H743: looking at Stm32h743bi.pdf, LQFP176 pins are numbered 1,2,...,176, while CubeIDE gives me PA1, PA2, PB1, PB2.... etc.So, how can know if my UART3 pins (PB10 & PB11, Alternate function Push-Pull, No Pull Up - No Pull-Down, Maximum Output Speed Low) are 5V tolerant, to connect my RS232 to RS485 converter? Thanks and best regards

I have an STM32 F401RE (NUCLEO - 64)board. In the document " Description of STM32F4 HAL and low-layer drivers" there are HAL SMBUS Generic drivers. Is it possible to implement SMbus communication using this board or I will have to purchase on of the above mentioned boards. And does it work only for the above mentioned boards or the all the boards of STM32 F0 / F3 / G4 / H7 / L0 / L4 / WB Series ?

Hi every body! I chose STM32H755ZI MCU mainly because it has 1MB of RAM. In my project, I need to at least store 180 KB of Data. 45000 of float samples. I use the M7 Core which accesses the AXI RAM the size of which is 512KB; on the other hand, the Build analyzer shows the amount of RAM around 128KB and in STM32H755ZITX_FLASH.ld file the ram size is defined 128KB. I decided to expand this area based on the memory file were presented in data sheet of the MCU but the program could not even be started and debugged. I got hard-fault error.in STM32H755ZITX_FLASH.ld file the default memory setting was like this: _estack = 0x20020000;  /* end of RAM */                /* _estack = 0x20020000; *//* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */_Min_Heap_Size = 0x200 ;   /* required amount of heap */      /* _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200 */_Min_

Hi,What is the difference between STM32H753ZIT6 vs STM32H753ZIT6U?I am curious because the U variant is on the eval card, but is not available anywhere. The non-U variant seems to have replaced it from all vendors.

Hi. i am a newbee here. i want to know STM32F411CC has sdio, does it support SDXC ?i need to use more than 32g sdcards. (example 64, 128, 256, 512g)if STM32F411CC only support SD 2.0 (SDHC max capacity 32g), SPI will support access more than 32g ??regards.

Programming manual PM0271, page 4, current features supported on Bluetooth specification v4.1, it is said that it only supports being slave of up to two masters simultaneously. But as for the standard, the maximum connections number would be 8. I'm trying to use "server" and "client" examples, using full stack, but the server can only connect to 2 clients. After this, it can't put server on advertising mode (I'm starting again the advertiser after every connection). Currently I'm using STM32WB v1.11.1 package. I've tried v1.9.0 and v1.10.0 with the same limitation. Is there a way to connect a slave to more masters?
