Using HAL_SPI_Recieve(), SPI1 Master, 8-bit transfer, 3 consecutive bytes. At end of 24th clock pulse, the pin bounces up to a middle voltage and then decays to zero. Pull down resistor helps, but not enough. Screenshot of problem attached. How do I fix this? / Why is it happening?Note, also using SPI3 in an identical way and this does not happen. Only SPI1. (SPI2 is busy with other things and I can't really test whether this happens on SPI2.)

Hello,I am using Touchgfx v4.16.1 with an STM32F469 Discovery Board. I used Touchgfx Designer to generate two different applications for the Discovery Board. In both cases when I build the applications using the makefile, the external Flash file that is created is over 2 GB. I looked at the mapfile for each application and for both applications the memory used in the external flash space is much, much smaller. One of the external applications does not have any images in it so the external flash is only being used for fonts (approximately 400 bytes of memory). I removed the "-g" option from the makefile to try to eleminate the creation of debug symbols but that did not help.I can use Designer to load these applications onto the Discovery board and they run fine. I know the external flash file is much, much larger than the external flash on the Discovery board so it appears that only part of it is being loaded.I have used TGX previously and did not have this issue. The size of the extern

What could be the cause. I have checked the power circuitry. The rest of application still functions well. DMA, Timers, SPI, etc. Just network data is stalled. When temp goes down it resumes.

I have installed STM32CubeProgrammer 2.7.0 on Windows 10 and it works fine. but when iam trying to run STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe even as admin it open and close immediately. the same thing happens by openning the STM32Bootloader.batCould anyone tell me please how to solve this problem?RegardsDepo

Hi,We are using LIS3MDL in our application and current consumption in Power-Down mode is 0.2mA which is quite high but it should be 1uA as per the datasheet.Any suggestion on why I am unable to achieve 1uA level as mentioned in the data sheet?RegardsSiva

Hi to all,I want to configure DFU to create a USB bootloader for STM32F401RE (I need to understand it on this hardware for future implementation on different MCU). I have some questions.I configure CubeMX as the .ioc file attached. The main settings are:USBD_DFU_APP_DEFAULT_ADD = 0x08008000USBD_DFU_MEDIA Interface = @Internal Flash  /0x08000000/02*016Ka,02*016Kg,01*064Kg,03*128Kgmy main.c and usbd_dfu_if.c are attached.I installed en.stsw-stm32080.When I connect the STM32F401 to PC, Windows 10 recognize the device (enumerated as "STM32 DownLoad Firmware Update") but in DeFuSe Demo v3.0.6 I don't see any device available.1) What can be the problem ?Setting Application firmware.First I compile th application after change th linker lik this FLASH  (rx)  : ORIGIN = 0x8008000,  LENGTH = 512KThen I have to generate a .dfu file using "Dfu File manager":VID and PID are ok, I get them from CubeMX, but2) what do I put in Version and Target name? After t

Hello,I'm relatively new to embedded development and have been taking a driver development course that uses STM32CubeIDE. The the board I am using is STM32F407VG Discovery Kit. Basically, I have been creating multiple src main files to test out my driver code and have been using the Properties->C/C++ Build-> "Exclude resource from build" to decide which code to use.My issue started when I forgot to remove one of the src files and tried to build the project with 2 src files with a lot of overlapping code. After I removed one of them from the build, I started getting the follow message during attempts to build:12:37:34 **** Clean-only build of configuration Debug for project stm32f4xx_drivers ****make clean rm -rf *rm: can't remove 'stm32f4xx_drivers.elf': Permission deniedmake: [makefile:65: clean] Error 1 (ignored)When I try to interact with the stm32f4xx_drivers.elf file outside of the IDE, it appears that it is open somewhere. I am able to fix the problem temporarily by cl

I am receiving corrupt images from OV5640-STM32F4. This isn't regular, I get proper images of resolution 320x240 to 5MP, but occasionally I keep receiving corrupt images. The corrupt images are found in all resolution. By corrupt image I mean, sometimes the image color is wrong, sometimes the pixels are shifted, sometimes half the image is missing. I pick the image from SDRAM and transfer it over UART. I suspected it was because the DCMI is overflowing or some error. I set the FRAME COMPLETE, OVERRUN and ERROR interrupt of DCMI along with frame capture interrupt. When I debug even though I receive corrupt images, I don't get any error callbacks, I only get a FRAME capture call back. Does that mean DCMI is not the one causing the corrupt images? What might be the reason for obtaining random corrupt images?

hi, i wanna a stm32l072 datasheet CN version. no result on the st.cn

So I am using STM32f769 Disco board, first I use template project from TouchGFX Designer and so far it is good. But then I realize it is using framebuffer located on external SRAM address 0xC0000000. But I want to change the location to internal RAM e.g. defined as array in the code like:uint16_t framebuffer[widht*height].How should I do this?

Thank you for helping.I want to access common variables on several screens (View). How do I pass a variable to View? Will it be passed to the base class of View?I want to make it a smart way without using global variables.Thank you.

I'm using both ADC's in continuous / interrupt mode on some micro's in the STM32F103 family and it's working properly and fills my needs nicely. The core components which are commonly presented in the online tutorials are...Calibration:HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc2);Starting the ADC's in continuous interrupt modeHAL_ADC_Start_IT(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Start_IT(&hadc2);The Callback routinevoid HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc) { if( hadc->Instance == ADC1) { ADC1_Reading = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); } else if( hadc->Instance == ADC2) { ADC2_Thermistor = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc2); } }But the ADCs cannot operate in continuous interrupt mode without one critical component that is basically undocumented and almost none of the tutorials mention it. ADC_IRQHandler()I noted one post in this board that mentioned it and based on that I added ...void ADC_IRQHandler() { HAL_ADC_IRQHandler(&hadc1); HAL_A

Hello,I have configured an External flash for the F412 chip. So I modified the STM32F412RETX_FLASH.ld like this:MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 256K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 512K QUADSPI (r) : ORIGIN = 0x90000000, LENGTH = 4M }   ... ... ...   .ARM.attributes 0 : { *(.ARM.attributes) } ExtFlashSection : { *(ExtFlashSection ExtFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >QUADSPI }Configured the QSPi for the memory-mapped and assigned an array like this to the external flash:#define LOCATION_EXTFLASH_ATTRIBUTE __attribute__ ((section ("ExtFlashSection"))) __attribute__ ((aligned(4)))   uint8_t logo_143x78_map[] LOCATION_EXTFLASH_ATTRIBUTE = { /*Pixel format: Red: 5 bit, Green: 6 bit, Blue: 5 bit*/ 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00

Hello,I bought Blue pill (stm32103c8) and downloaded the stm32IDE.Once I try to open project, after I choose the board I get a message that there is a problem  and the reason is probably I don't have the necessary firmware. After I try to generate code I see this.   I can't complete my project opening. What can I do?

Hi,I am facing a strange cache problem. I use the DCMI coupled to the DMA in order to acquire an image into the external SDRAM. As indicated in the application note AN4839, I proceed in this way.before to start the DMA transfer I clean the cache (cache_D_Clean();)At the end of the transfer (in the DMA interruption indicating the end), I invalidate the cache (cache_D_Invalidate();)Everything work perfectly on the stm32H7.On the stm32F7, as soon as the cache invalidation routine is called, the CPU generates a bus error. On the stm32F7, in the DMA interruption indicating the end of the transfer, I replaced the cache invalidation (cache_D_Invalidate();) by the cache clean followed by the cache invalidation (cache_D_Clean(); cache_D_Invalidate();). Adding a clean (cache_D_Clean();) seems to avoid the bus error but I cannot understand why.Why the behavior of the H7 and the F7 caches are different on the same code?Thank you for your feedbacks.Any idea why ?

But when I remove power (with the 3V battery still connected to Vbat) the date/time values freeze. That is, they remain where they were when to power was removed. How do I make the RTC continue to run during power down? Any help is appreciated.

Since a few days I own an STM32H735 Disco board. But I can't get HAL DMA2D to work correctly. The following code shall copy a line of pixels from RAM into the framebuffer:DMA2D_HandleTypeDef hdma2d;   static void ConvertLineToRGB(uint32_t *pSrc, uint32_t *pDst, uint32_t xSize) { hdma2d.Instance = DMA2D;   /* Configure the DMA2D Mode, Color Mode and output offset */ hdma2d.Init.Mode = DMA2D_M2M; hdma2d.Init.ColorMode = DMA2D_OUTPUT_ARGB8888; hdma2d.Init.OutputOffset = 0;   /* Foreground Configuration */ hdma2d.LayerCfg[1].AlphaMode = DMA2D_NO_MODIF_ALPHA; //hdma2d.LayerCfg[1].InputAlpha = 0xFF; hdma2d.LayerCfg[1].InputColorMode = DMA2D_INPUT_ARGB8888; hdma2d.LayerCfg[1].InputOffset = 0;   /* DMA2D Initialization */ if(HAL_DMA2D_Init(&hdma2d) == HAL_OK) { if(HAL_DMA2D_ConfigLayer(&hdma2d, 1) == HAL_OK) { HAL_DMA2D_Start(&hdma2d, (uint32_t)pSrc, (uint32_t)pDst, xSize, 1); HAL_DMA2D_PollForTransfer(&hdma2d, 25); } } //memcpy(pD

HiI have two screens A and B. On A ButtonSTART (Toggle). On B ButtonSTOP (Toggle). ButtonSTART is to change to screen B and turn on the counter. ButtonSTOP is to change to screen A and stop the counter. After changing screen A to B, ButtonSTART should be 0.After changing screen B to A, ButtonSTOP should be 0. How to set up GFX INTERACTION? greetings Andrzej

I'm currently trying to implement a button interrupt and need to disable the button interrupt after the initial call to the isr to avoid excessive interrupt triggering due to debounce. I'm using STM32CUBEIDE/MX currently. The button works as desired if I useHAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(EXTI9_5_IRQn); (in interrupt)//do some stuff HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI9_5_IRQn); (in main)but this is non-ideal as it disables exti lines 5 through 9.I've been trying to mask the EXTI line using EXTI_IMR. This seems to work for the first button press, but I'm never able to re-trigger the ISREXTI->IMR &= ~(EXTI_LINE_5);//in ISREXTI->IMR &= (EXTI_LINE_5);//in mainThoughts?

Hi,I have a new project which should use only parts with life time of around 10 years. Where can I see on ST's website these information for a MCU?

Hi,i want to know if i did the wiring correct? The 4 x 100nF will be connected close to PIN 19, 32, 48 and 64.PIN 1 got a 1uF.On PIN 13 (VDDA) i added a bead as well.NRST will not be used in the final application, is the 100nF anyway needed?BOOT0 is grounded by 10k.VSS is directly connected to ground. In the Nucleo Board description i saw that PIN 31 and PIN 47 could be connected to a 2.2uF, does someone know why? There is a solder bridge.

Can anyone tell me why the value of 'c' here should be NaN ??On other platforms I get the same result for 'a' and 'c', as expected.#include <math.h>   float a = atanf( -1.0f ); // returns -0.785398185   float b = -1.0f; float c = atanf( b ); // returns NaN I'm using STM32CubeIDE v1.4.0 on Linux.Target is F103RCT6

Hello,I'm planing to design a custom board using STM32F769 and I want to use the STM32F769I-DISCO as a reference but I didn't manage to find the PCB files in the CAD Resources section of the said product. There are only schematic packs, BOM and gerbers but no actual PCB file. I managed to download the whole Altium project for the NUCLEO-F767ZI around a year ago but it seems it's now the same deal with this one as well as with a lot of other products. Does anyone know how can I obtain some reference layout files for the STM32F769I-DISCO or why are they not available? Thanks

good afternoon.I was gonna drive an eMMC flash memory ( something like https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/estorage/emmc/KLM8G1GEND-B031/ ) with my STM32f407IGT6.I don't know if I can access it through the SDIO peripheral or not. it is mentioned in the datasheet of the eMMC link above that its version is 5.0 . but what I saw in the microcontroller reference manual was it only supports mmc 4.2 . is it possible to use this with my MCU? I have another question too. unfortunately I'm not familiar with flash memory types. can u help me choose a flash memory with at least 4 GB of space that can be soldered beside my MCU? I mean what type of flash memory should I choose? what are the specs that MCU supports? and what are the ways I can connect a flash memory to STM32f407IGT6 ??I would be so thankful if u help me in this case.

I noticed that all breakpoints are disabled in CubeIde. Windows 10 probably checks for updates automatically, so this IDE can't be very old version. What can I do?
