SPC5Studio asks for a TX and RX pin. I selected CAN 1 TX and RX pins and connected them to CAN 2 RX and TX pins I chose (I tried all manner of connections). I am trying to get CAN 2 to send a message. On the output I see a 0 to 5 V signal instead of 0 to 2.5 V and another of 2.5 to 5 V. How do I get two wire CAN? I think I am missing a concept here, can someone please help me.I am trying to use SPC560B discovery board.

To start advertising connection, I runAPPE_Init();adv();To stop advertising the connection, I runaci_set_non_discoverable(connection_handle, reason);aci_gap_terminate();However the latter functions do not successfully cease advertising, I was wondering where I am going wrong.

I've been grappling with the SPI bus for weeks on end to no avail. I've made my own libraries for UART, ADC, Timer etc successfully, so I'm fairly certain it's not any of the common pitfalls like not enabling the clock or misconfiguring the GPIO. I decided to cave and use the HAL libraries provided by ST themselves, and I'm still seeing the same issue.Here's my initialization code: hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_HIGH; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_2EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT; hspi1.Init.BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_32; hspi1.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi1.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCPolynomial = 10; if (HAL_SPI_Init(&hspi1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct; __HAL_RCC_SPI1

I am using STM32H745 with touchgfx, I found list layout example for scroll list, but there it the buttons created as only one type. I mean the delete button is same for the all the elements of the scroll list. Instead i need to have few toggle button and few push button and few text box etc. Just to look a like android app settings screen. Can some one, suggest me how to create multiple type widgets/buttons in same scroll list from the designer / from the code ?

Hi community,I have just started with STM32 MCUs .What is the difference between STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer? I have already installed the STM32CubeIDE and I am able to program the NUCLEO-F030R8 dev. board that I use. So what is the usage of the STM32CubeProgrammer?Nick

I am developing a board based on STM32H747XIH6 MCU. When TouchGFX support will be added in additional software section of CubeIDE?

Dear all,I am using a NUCLEO-L4R5ZI board and am trying to get the octospi interface running in quad mode.After generating the code I tried to run the generated code in the STM32CubeIDE but failed to debug it. Since it seems that the system memory gets mapped at address 0x0.This is visible if the memory regions 0x0, 0x80000000 and 0x1FF0000 are compared in the memory browser while breaking at the reset vector.The issue gets more transparent during the call to __HAL_RCC_SYSCFG_CLK_ENABLE(); in the file stm32l4xx_hal_msp.c since then the MEM_MODE is changed to 0x01 in the SYSCFG-MEMRMP register.After a while (IRQ?), the code execution in the debugger jumps to the address range above 0x1FF00000 and I have to restart the debugger to come to the reset vector of my code. (Makes sense since the VTOR base address is not 0x0 anymore.If I remove the call to  MX_OCTOSPI1_Init(); in the main function everything works as expected.During some experiments I realized that if I remove the call to

I am using STM32G030K6 controller but it's unable to detect PVD. Hi! I'm working with the STM32WLE5JCC lora IC. Im using it to read sensor data through I2C and a voltage with the ADC. Program works fine in debug mode. When you unplug it from the pc it keeps working. Then, if you reset the board, ADC and I2C return an error.What changes between debuging and after the reset?This works using the MSI (48Mhz) and the RTC LSE.My external clocks are:TCXO 32MHz and a RTCif i change those settings to my TCXO and RTC it stops working.Thank you very much.

I using the Demo code for ST25R3916 It takes long time to read RFID Card Tag , what might be causing that ?I am using X-NUCLEO-NFCC06A1 eval board with ST25R3916 CHIP

I'm new to STM32WB and using BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode example. With the function BLEMesh_CustomBeaconReceivedCallBack, I get the data and data is true but RSSI is wrong How can I fix it or other way to get RSSI from beacon? Sorry for my bad english Regard

Hi guys.. I am working with a huge hex file that I need to parse from hex file to an array of byte.. do you know an efficient way to do that without having an hw fault on the micro... Thanks a lot ...

I'm currently using TIM8 (adv timer) in a capture compare application with two channels. I'm also using TIM4 (general purpose) as just that, a general purpose timer. I now find I need more than 16-bits in TIM8, more like 19-bits.Can I cascade TIM8 and TIM4 to get a 32-bit timer for capture compare applications? Does it matter which is Slave and Master? If this is feasible do I then just read both 16-bit registers when in the ISR? My ISR is currently just saving the capture register value for TIM8 Ch1 and Ch 3.Thank-you,

Using Project Manager -> Advanced Settings -> Generated Function Calls you can change the initialization order. However this setting is ignored when writing the code.You have to manually change the order in the .ioc file in this line:ProjectManager.functionlistsort=1-MX_GPIO_Init-GPIO-false-HAL-true,2-SystemClock_Config-RCC-false-HAL-false,3-MX_DMA_Init-DMA-false-LL-true,4-MX_LPUART1_UART_Init-LPUART1-false-LL-true,5-MX_TIM20_Init-TIM20-false-LL-true,6-MX_USART3_UART_Init-USART3-false-HAL-true,7-MX_ADC1_Init-ADC1-false-LL-true,8-MX_ADC2_Init-ADC2-false-LL-true,9-MX_ADC3_Init-ADC3-false-LL-true,10-MX_ADC4_Init-ADC4-false-LL-true,11-MX_ADC5_Init-ADC5-false-HAL-trueChanging the numbers is what CubeMX is doing, but that is not enough. You have to actually reorder the items.CubeIDE:Version: 1.2.1Build: 5190_20200115_1224 (UTC)STM32CubeG4 Firmware Package V1.1.0 / 28-June-2019

Posted on January 24, 2017 at 19:55Hello all, I am running into a problem with updating the STM32F4 library in STM32CubeMX ver 4.19. I want to install the STM32F4 library package ver 4.14. However, I get an error stating 'These Files have problem during Download : stm32cube_fw_f4_v1140.zip (Target directory already exists)' I am able to install the previous STM32F4 package, rev 1.13 without problems. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting the repository package directory, etc, etc. No dice. Perhaps I am missing a directory to clean up while reinstalling. Also, I can see where the .zip is downloaded to when running the updater. There is nothing there. It shouldn't have any problems. I also tried installing the package via the 'Load from file', but no dice there. I get an error that way too. I also thought that the package may have already come with CubeMX, but I am prompted to download the package when I try to generate code.Of course, this fails for the

Hi,Anyone please provide me the example for QSPI.

Hi everyone.I have an already-designed PCB with an STM32MP157 on it. In order to communicate with an external device, I am using USART1. At the same time, I'm using an USB OTG port to connect my device to my PC.My problem is that USART1 is working with pins PA10 (AF7: USART1 RX), PA12 (AF7: USART1 DE) and PB6 (AF7: USART1 TX). It seems that PA10 is also set up as OTG HS pin:usbotg_hs_pins_a: usbotg_hs-0 { pins { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('A', 10, ANALOG)>; /* OTG_ID */ }; };(in stm32mp157-pinctrl.dtsi).I am not sure at all but I think this pin is not referenced at any device tree file in the whole DTS. However, if I disable usb-otg device, USART1 starts working.But I don't want to do that.So after reading the usb-otg driver documentation I discovered the following parameter:dr_mode: shall be one of "host", "peripheral" and "otg"So I set up my otg as "peripheral" and now my usb otg works when I connect the external device to my USART1. But USART1 still not works.What

I have been looking into using the Automatic Mode under Erasing and Programming and I need to use the Option Bytes Command. But, I see some examples but no actual list of actual Option Byte names that the interface will accept. The examples seem to show Option Byte fields rather than the full Option Byte. Does this mean I need to specify every field I want to change? Are the field names exactly the same as the ones in the reference manual? This is really incomplete. I am using the STM32G030C6. Thanks.
