Hi ST Community, I'm wondering if there's a sample project for a UART Bootloader for the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q series. Thanks for your support

Starting my design on a reference design based on STDES for WL3 series. I would like to know what is needed for the smallest hardware connection to download a program from ST32CUBE IDE. I need to have the minimum amount of connectors on the board. I.E. I don't want to plug in my board that I designed to the NUCLEO base board debugger for downloading  a program if I don't have to.  Can I take advantage of the STDC14 connection on the ref Des and if so, do I need some external piece of hardware to connect to it which then connects to the USB port on a computer?  Thanks!

Hello,I am planning to use BLDC motors in a robotic manipulator where torque control of the motors will be established. Thus, FOC SDK of STMicroelectronics will be utilized. Since the manipulator will be a parallel one, none of the motors will need to make one full revolution and they will work in low speeds as well. They will be equipped with encoder to measure the rotor position that is critical to FOC. Also, the zero position of the motors will be known prior to the running of the manipulator and so absolute position measurement will be no problem. My question is as follows. Can BLDC motors be used in the above mentioned application utilizing the FOC SDK? As I know, sensorless estimation of rotor position requires the spped to be relatively high. However, HFI (high frquency injection) technique of STM can overcome this issue and can estimate the rotor position at low speeds and even at standstill. Only requirement is for the motor to be an interior PMSM. Then, in case of encoder, the

I having some issues with nvram in op-tee.I don't know what this happen. It seems that op-tee want to say to me that 0xffff0006 is TEE_ERROR_BAD_PARAMETERS. In this case, I don't use any tamper and don't have LSE.I think this is a bug because my ST TF-A and ST Op-tee assumes that LSE must be available to proceed. I made a specific hack in ST TF-A that avoids the LSE configuration to continue working. When ST TF-A was starting. It was going to enable clock ID 5, which is LSE, no matter if I have LSE disabled or enable. An if-statement solved this issue.Do you have any clue what's can be the cause of this?Processor: STM32MP257FAK F/TC:0 0 process_probe_list:657 Probe loop 6 after 4 for deferral(s) D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:504 Probe list: 3 elements D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:506 |- Driver stm32-gpu probes on node gpu@48280000 D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:506 |- Driver stm32-tamp probes on node tamp@46010000 D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:506 |- Driver stm32-cpu probes on node cpu@0 D/TC:0 0

When I was using Keil and VSCode with the same piece of code, I found that I couldn't enter the ADC_DMA interrupt callback function when using VSCode. I was looking up the information and debugging in two software programs. I found that the address of the array where I stored the data was 0x20 in VSCode, while it was 0x24 in Keil. I attempted to adjust the array address to the correct one, but found that it couldn't be adjusted properly. If there is a solution, please let me know. Thank you.

I've built cmwx1zzabz_0xx project on B-L072Z-LRWAN1 discovery board. From the source code, it looks like the app configures a 9600 baud serial console using UART1 on the STM32LO72 on the MuRata LoRa module. Please confirm that the TX/RX signals are available at PA9 and PA10 on the discovery board's pin header.Which #defines are necessary to route app console logging as well as AT command responses to this console? Thanks,Curtis

Hello ST Community, I am working on an ultra-low-power project using STM32 MCUs and I have a question regarding the current capabilities of STM32CubeMX. Current Situation: I am aware that STM32CubeMX has an option to "Set unused pins to Analog" to save power. However, this is not sufficient for complex low-power management. In many cases, pins that are actively used in "Run" mode need to be reconfigured into specific states—not necessarily Analog—before entering a low-power mode (e.g., keeping a specific Pull-up/Pull-down for an external sensor, or maintaining a specific Output level to prevent leakage through external circuitry).Currently, CubeMX generates a single initialization function (e.g., MX_GPIO_Init()). To manage transitions for these "used" pins, we must manually write wrapper functions to change their states before sleep and re-initialize them upon wake-up. This manual process is time-consuming and prone to configuration errors. My Question: Is there an exist

Hello everyone, I’m having an issue reading the current sense (CS) output from a VND7040 using an STM32G473 ADC. When driving a DC motor with PWM: • At ~50% duty cycle, I measure around 500 mV on the CS signal (after RC filter) using an oscilloscope• At 100% duty cycle, the voltage drops to around 0 mV I’ve locked the internal multiplexer so the CS output corresponds only to the channel driving the motor. Also sen is always on at 3.3v. Vcc is stable at around 13V.Also have the gnd filter with diode and resistor recommended on the application document. The CS pin is connected through an RC filter to the ADC input (schematic attached). However, the voltage behavior seems inconsistent — especially at 100% PWM where I’d expect a higher or steady value since current is continuous. Observations: On the oscilloscope, the CS signal looks like pulses at 50% PWM (which average to ~500 mV after the capacitor) At 100% PWM, the filtered voltage goes near zero Questions: Shouldnt it be linear w

Hello all,I have a custom board using an stm32h747bit6. I am able to flash it and it works exactly as intended, but if I power cycle it then it stops working?  If I flash it and then reset the chip it still works fine.I tried some debugging, I configured the error handler to toggle a gpio pin on / off but it doesn't do that, the voltage just sits at ~0.8v after I power cycle it? Any ideas?

Hi ST,It has been more than a year since STEF48H28 was announced (document DB5404 dated Nov 2024).When is it going to be available for preview?I would prefer to use ST’s solution over a comparable device already available as evaluation module from a competitor; however, it is difficult to justify waiting without any announced preview or release timeline. Thanks,Thomas

Upgraded to v2.  I know this is a general question and I can elaborate but I'm having issues with my project NOT finding files.  First, has there been some change in the formatting for the entries in the Include portion of the project properties, General, Paths and Symbols...?  I'm doing a project where the paths are provided in an .xml file to be imported.  Most of it works but it appears some random files are not found.  I say random because if I fix one, two or more files are not found.  There must be some formatting issue OR maybe I'm not clear of the ORDER of the includes that may make a difference.  I've gotten the errors to drop from 15 down to 2, then fixing those 2 then results in 5 more.  I'm doing something incorrectly and not recognizing the problem, most likely.   Any suggestions would help. Thanks, Tony

Dear all,The wiki page for STM32Cube AI Studio (at https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/AI:STM32Cube_AI_Studio_documentation) states that the software is compatible with “STM32CubeIDE, IAR, Keil, GNU Arm Embedded Toolchain”. However, when creating a new project it seems that at least STM32CubeIDE is required, and there does not appear to be straightforward support for using the bare GNU Arm Embedded Toolchain (for example, when integrating with STM32Cube for VS Code via CMake). From a developer perspective, especially for those of us working with CMake‑based workflows and VS Code, proper and maintained support for the standalone GNU toolchain would be extremely valuable. It would allow tighter integration with VCS and existing CI/CD pipelines, easier cross‑platform setups, and would avoid forcing a switch to a specific IDE just to generate or maintain AI‑enabled projects.Could the STM32Cube AI Studio team clarify the current level of support for the GNU Arm Embedded Toolchain outside

I am currently working on a row-scanning LED matrix application using STP16DP05 and a NXP imxrt1064 MCU. I’m encountering some synchronization issues and would appreciate some clarity on the following: 1. OE (Output Enable) and Data Transfer Correlation: Is there a strict correlation between Data Transfer (Clock/SDA) and the OE pin? Specifically, can I keep OE enabled (pulled Low) while shifting in new data and pulsing the Latch (LE) pin? I am trying to determine if OE must be disabled (High) during the entire transfer-to-latch sequence because if i keep OE grounded all the time, I'm seeing unexpected behavior on LED display. 2. Brightness Control Alternatives to PWM: Are there recommended methods for implementing brightness control other than standard PWM? I am looking for techniques that will be implementable with SPI as that is the protocol im using for data transfer. 3. PWM/Bit-Shifting Issue in Row Scanning: Currently, when I implement PWM for brightness, I am seeing unexpected "b

I'm a novice to ESP32 programming and LoRa, and I'm finding myself stuck with simple interfacing.I have a L073RZ connected to a Semtech SX1280 Evaluation Board, but I don't have a display attached to it (didn't come with one). I'm wondering how I can connect the ESP32 to my PC to control the SX1280. I'm trying to use the LoRa for its ranging abilities.I can't seem to find any firmware for the L073RZ+SX1280 combo, on either Semtech or NUCLEO.

Problem:HAL_FLASHEx_Erase returns error 0x20000, and HAL_FLASH_Program does return HAL_OK but does not actually write any data to the flash.Goal: Erase and install new firmware on flash on its own inside the bootloader.I am developing a bootloader for the STM32H533RET6. I have TrustZone enabled, and configured the secure and non-secure regions. I am trying to erase and write to the non-secure part of the flash, from the bootloader which is secure (and separate from the actual application). I have disabled any write protection that I am aware of inside the option bytes. I also use the Memory Management Tool inside CubeMX to configure the secure and non-secure regions. For the non-secure region of the flash I have set "Access Permissions" to "RW by any privilege level". I do have a Flash watermark set on bank 1 but this does not cover any of the non-secure flash regions. No watermark is set on bank 2. Below is the code I use to erase and write to a sector on the flash:uint32_t Erase

STLink: STLINK-V3MINIECard: STM32f103C8T6 I couldn't establish the connection at all. I can connect without any problems with the ST-LinkV2 clone, but I couldn't connect with the V3. I'm trying different tim variations, but it's not working. The frequencies have been changed. The modes have been changed. The reset modes have been changed.

Hello, While working with STM32F446RET6, I encountered a problem with I2C1. When using HAL_I2C_Mem_Read_IT(), an error occasionally occurs in the form of sending 0x00 instead of the address with the read bit after Repeated Start. The error seems to only occur with O3 optimization. I2C Configuration: NVIC Configuration: Only TIM1 update interrupt (TIM10 not used), DMA1 stream2 (SPI3_RX) and DMA1 stream5 (SPI3_TX) have higher priority than I2C1. Here is an example of a correct signal: The signal with error and I2C_Flush_DR() looks like this: static void I2C_Flush_DR(I2C_HandleTypeDef *hi2c) { /* Write a dummy data in DR to clear TXE flag */ if (__HAL_I2C_GET_FLAG(hi2c, I2C_FLAG_TXE) != RESET) { hi2c->Instance->DR = 0x00U; } } The signal and I2C_Flush_DR() looks li

Hi,Ref.manual (RM0477 Rev 8) in chapter 32.3.3 PSSI clock saysIn case when PSSI transmitting data, then RDY pin is input.Datasheet (DS14360 Rev 2) shows setup and hold time of RDY pin (input) referenced to rising edge as well as data pins (outputs).I think that's a contradiction. So how is it really and to which edge do RDY setup and hold times relate ?Thanks,Michal Dudka

 I encountered a bug with STM32Cube IDE 2.0.0 and \stm32ai-modelzoo-services. When I try to deploy my application using the command:python .\stm32ai_main.py --config-path . --config-name .\user_deployment_n6_config.yamlthe board programming seems to complete successfully, but the screen remains black.However, if I use an older version, STM32Cube IDE 1.18.1, the application deployed with the same Python script works perfectly.  tools:stedgeai:optimization: balancedon_cloud: Falsepath_to_stedgeai: C:/ST/STEdgeAI/3.0/Utilities/windows/stedgeai.exepath_to_cubeIDE: C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.18.1/STM32CubeIDE/stm32cubeide.exe# path_to_cubeIDE: C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_2.0.0/STM32CubeIDE/stm32cubeide.exe deployment:c_project_path: ../application_code/image_classification/STM32N6/IDE: GCCverbosity: 1hardware_setup:serie: STM32N6board: STM32N6570-DKstlink_serial_number: "0040003D3234511733353533"  (stm32ai-modelzoo-services4) PS C:\Users\papam\PycharmProjects\stm32ai-mod

Hi,I am using the following environment and found two bugs.OS : Ubuntu 20.04 LTSSTM32CubeMX : 6.15.0Toolchain / IDE : CMakeBoard : NUCLEO-H563ZIBug 1 : After reconfiguring the memory address and size with Memory Management Tool following code generation, the .ld file does not follow the configuration. This bug can be reproduced by following the steps below:Configure the FLASH region on MMT. Generated code and .ld filesUpdate the FLASH configuration on MMT. I think this value should be updated according to FLASH region configuration./************************* Miscellaneous Configuration ************************/ /*!< Uncomment the f

Dear ST Technical Support Team,I am currently developing a voice recognition application on the STEVAL-STWINBX1. I trained a classification model using the notebook:Utilities\AI_Resources\TrainingScripts\UltrasoundClassification\UltrasoundClassification.ipynbIn the notebook/off-target evaluation, the model achieves >90% accuracy, but after deploying to the MCU the recognition accuracy becomes very low.To investigate, I used STM32CubeMX → Validation on Target. However, the validation process fails with the message: “Automatic build and run failed” (Automatic Validation on the target)Thank you for your help. I look forward to your guidance on resolving the validation failure and improving on-MCU accuracy.Best regards, dzf

On some post now I get an errorHave been on this forum for 8 years or so, never had this issue..I tried to report a fix to someone, can't do that.. This is a great way to block uses reporting solutions. What is this ? Cannot find any link how to verify. Please help ASAPI also don't see Sidekick on any forum, is that related ?

Dear all, I am currently deploying the image_classification application. So, from stm32ai-modelzoo-services (in my case, it is in the directory stm32ai-modelzoo-services4), I am using the following command with my configuration file:python .\stm32ai_main.py --config-path . --config-name .\user_deployment_n6_config.yamlI added some code in /common/stm32ai_local/build.py to help diagnose the programming of the STM32N6570-DK board. The programming process seems to complete correctly, but when I restart the kit (with BOOT0 and BOOT1 set to the left), the screen remains black. However, if I launch STM32CubeIDE, import my application, perform a build, and then a Run As, the programming works correctly and the application runs perfectly.I believe the original goal is, of course, to be able to program and run my application directly using the script:python .\stm32ai_main.py --config-path . --config-name .\user_deployment_n6_config.yamlPlease find attached the execution log of the script. Many

I am trying to create a simple UDP server using the NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board. I will port this to a similar microcontroller in the same family (STM32H750B) once I get it working. I am able to build the example code from this repository: https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/STM32H7-LwIP-Examples/tree/main/STM32H743_Nucleo_ETHIt successfully responds to pings and shows up in my router device list. I used:STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.17.0 STM32Cube FW_H7 Version 1.12.1.Following the instructions in the README, I attempted to build the application from scratch on the NUCLEO board, but I haven't been able to get it to respond to a ping despite a few days of troubleshooting. Can someone tell me if there is something wrong with my configuration file?
