Hello,I would like to encode/send and decode/receive data using Manchester communication protocol (per G.E. Thomas) between 1 and 100 kbps with a NUCLEO-L432KC. I have read many topics with multiple solutions but I'm a beginner and I'm quite confused. I'm looking for a simple and proper way to do it, without external chip. Maybe setting up a timer as counter with an interrupt should be a good idea? I would be pleased to get code examples.Thanks in advance!

I am trying to read signals from digital MEMS microphones via DFSDM peripheral and transfer it to memory with DMA on STM32H7A3. I found out that 4 channels are handled by DMA and remaining 4 with BDMA. Now I can't figure out how to get this BDMA to work. Below I placed screenshots of Cube configuration and initialization of DFSDM with DMA. I suspect that the problem can be with memory configuration in linker script, since DMA and BDMA has not access to the same memory sections. Do someone have idea if my assumptions are correct and can suggest what should I do to get it to work?

Hi,Nowadays I am trying to send and receive data with STM32f103C8 module. In fact, my aim is only write" Hello World " one after the other in the rows below at Tera Term, by coing at STM CubeIDE, and with my some hardwares. So , first I connected this STM32f103C8 module to an FTDI programmer module and ST-Link V2. By watching some videos, I connected these 3 products's pins:STM32F103C8's Rx to FTDI's Tx,STM32f103C8's Tx to FTDI's Rx , Ground to Ground,STM32F103C8's 5V to FTDI's VCC pin, then, same legs of STM32F103C8's and ST-Link are connected to each other.I used STM CubeIDE as developement environment, and Tera Term application to test it. When I build the project at STM CubeIDE, I get no error, but then When I Debug, then Resume(F8), there is no joy at Tera Term, and at STM CubeIDE a new page is openning named 0x1fffe61c which has explanation " Break at address "0x1fffe61c" with no debug information available, or outside of program code." inside this page.Note : Baudrate is 115200

hello everyoneI am using st25ru3993.The features we want are:1. Is it possible to split the frequency down to 0.1 MHz?2. Is it possible to split the db by 0.5 or 0.1?3. I am testing the sdk and I want to check the dbm value. What class or structure can I use to check it?Please answer.

Hi,I am trying to use a custom OTA application to perform firmware updates. The code works (default Service manger OTA code from the DK) till the image size of the app uploaded is below the address 0x10057800. As soon as the firmware image exceeds this threshold, OTA does not work. I read it in the user manual that the image base needs to be fixed to a particular address, how can I do that? Also I want the image to boot from that particular new address. Please help.Thanks.

Dear Forum members,Could you please confirm if the LD1117 is specified to work with ceramic output capacitors?Unfortunately the datasheet makes no mention of capacitor type or ESR requirements.Thank you

I have a design based on the STM32MP157C (technically the Octavo SiP) which simulatenously uses PA0, PA1, ANA0, and ANA1. While measuring analog signals on the device, I'm noticing that the CPU is biasing the ANA0 and ANA1 signals -- based on a measurement across a filter resistor which has a higher voltage on the CPU side than on the measurement side.CubeMX did not generate any special pin control definitions for my use of ANA0 and ANA1; but I'm suspcious that there's either a pull up I need to disable, or the ANAx_SEL bits in SYSCFG_PMCR are not being set correctly.What pin control settings, or ADC configuration settings, should be present in the device tree for best performance of the ANA0 and ANA1 pins?

Hello, I need help to implement a function for some buttons, that every time a button is pressed a CAN message will be sent and when the button is released the CAN message will be sent again. It has to send a CAN message for falling and rising edge (doesn't matter the time between falling and rising time), and I don't want to configure GPIO as GPIO_EXTI. Thank you.

Hello,I am learning about RTOS and SEGGER tracing with a NucleoF7222ZE. For some reasons the UART2 IRQ handler is never called to get SEGGER continuous recoding. In the main I only call SEGGER_SYSVIEW_PrintfTarget like bellow.int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ TaskHandle_t Task_RedLED_Handle;   BaseType_t TaskStatus; /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();     /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); MX_USB_OTG_FS_PCD_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init();   // CYCLCNT enable DWT_CTRL |= ( 1 << 0);   // Initializing SEGGER UART SEGGER_UART_init(115200);   // Starting SEGGER SYSVIEW SEGGER_SYSVIEW_Conf();   // Creating Tasks TaskStatus = xTaskCreate(Task_RedLE

Hi everybody,I would like to simulate a USB scanner device using libcomposite, so I modified the USB FIFO sizes in the DTS as follows:usbotg_hs{ u-boot,dm-pre-reloc; pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&usb_otg_hs_pins_mx>; pinctrl-1 = <&usb_otg_hs_sleep_pins_mx>; status = "okay";   /* USER CODE BEGIN usbotg_hs */ phys = <&usbphyc_port1 0>; /* 0: UTMI switch selects the OTG */ phy-names = "usb2-phy"; u-boot,force-b-session-valid; u-boot,force-vbus-detection; dr_mode = "peripheral"; g-rx-fifo-size = <256>; g-np-tx-fifo-size = <256>; g-tx-fifo-size = <128 128 64 16 16 16 16 16>; /* USER CODE END usbotg_hs */ }; This allows me to open the device declaring USB packet sizes of 512 bytes instead of the maximum which would be allowed by stm32mp151.dtsi (64 bytes, the kernel panics declaring 512). After the configuration of configfs I pull up my application device-side, which borrows from the kernel example in to

I'm doing project that includes outputting an increasing/decreasing duty signal for led while also working on SPI communication, from my understanding I need to set up both timer output and spi in non-blocking mode and I can do both with HAL-s interrupt functions, as well as DMA functions. Here's where I'm confused, if both IT and DMA work in nonblocking mode and get the job done same way, what should I look out for, which one is more efficient and recommended to use?

Hello Everyone!Couple days ago, I tried to interface STM32F030R8T6 dev. board with TFT display like on the picture with ILI9486 driver.One year ago, I interfaced the same TFT with FPGA de board and everything was fine.With STM32 I tried to interface in 16-bit mode.This display doesn't has the RDX pin for reading from it. Only Write Operations.Below my code, which I've started and stuck with strange display behaviour.Problem is with colors.When I set Red Backcolor, the display is shows it as almost Black color.Green Color it shows as dark Green and Blue Color it shows correct.So all colors which are close to red, slowly become darker.I've tried to do Display Inversion mode Command, but it turned everything to Brighter color.The Blue Color it turned to yellow, Green and Yellow turned to Purple Color, White Color turned to Orange.I understand, I did something wrong, but cannot find where./* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ---------------------------------------------------------------

I have followed the MOOC - STM32WB workshop videos made for the STM32WB55 but I am not able to get BLE visibility in ST BLE Sensor app. I think I am not able to tune my HSE clock correctly.Please help me how to tune it for the custom made target boards?

I've found that Nucleo-L4R5ZI and Nucleo-L476RG sometimes stop receiving UART data through the STLINK USB interface is Mass Storage type is enabled.I created a program that echos random data sizes (send to board, board echos back). This will crash after a while on macOS if "Mass Storage" is enabled (it is fine on Windows and Linux regardless of Mass Storage option). Here is a simple MBED project and both a Python and Node application to cause the failure.https://github.com/petertorelli/serialbreakerThe crash takes a while to happen, it is quite intermittent, and requires a full uplug/replug of the device (macOS will sometimes complain that the mass device was not removed properly).I have another where I found the ST board can still transmit, it just cannot receive. I know this because I can reset the board with the reset button, see a boot test message, but it still won't respond to commands sent over the UART. I think the bug is in the RX path from the host to the STM board.I've seen

Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask this.I am trying to read data from a ADS7142 in manual mode dual channel-single ended.Communication with the chip works just fine, but when the time comes to read the data, it only returns zeroesSetup:HAL_StatusTypeDef configure(I2C_HandleTypeDef *hi2c, uint8_t DeviceAddress) {   do { HAL_StatusTypeDef buff = writeSingleRegister(hi2c, DeviceAddress, REG_CHANNEL_INPUT_CFG, 0b00); //dual single ended if (buff != HAL_OK) { return buff; } } while (readSingleRegister(hi2c, DeviceAddress, REG_CHANNEL_INPUT_CFG) != 0b00);   do { HAL_StatusTypeDef buff = writeSingleRegister(hi2c, DeviceAddress, REG_OPMODE_SEL, 0b100); //Manual auto sequence if (buff != HAL_OK) { return buff; } } while (readSingleRegister(hi2c, DeviceAddress, REG_OPMODE_SEL) != 0b100);   do { HAL_StatusTypeDef buff = writeSingleRegister(hi2c, DeviceAddress, REG_AUTO_SEQ_CHEN, 0b11); //both channels if (buff != HAL_OK) { re

Hello,I'm using an STM32H743i-Eval2, we plugged in another LCD of 1024x600 RGB888 60HzWe set the LTDC clock at 51.2Mhz as written in the LCD datasheet. (HSE 25Mhz / 25 * 512 / 10)We get no clock at all on Pin32 of CN20 (CLK pin on LCD connector)The clock is correct only when LTDC clock is set to 25Mhz or lower.Our system clock is set to 400Mhz, Peripheral Clock to 100MhzThe onboard 32bits SDRAM CAS is set to 2.Any clue ?

Hi everyone, Just FYI this is my first real dive into using STMs so please excuse possible gaps in understanding.Issue: I have been trying to program an STM Bluepill (STM32F103C8T6) but have been unable to get my pc to detect it and launch in debug mode using STMCubeIDE.What I have tried:ST-LINK: I have attempted to use both the STM32CubeProgrammer and STM Link-Utility to connect to the board and get the memory view to display. No amount of configuration has been able to get it to connected. I have looked up some previous posts on the matter and none have helped. (I have tried varying the mode and reset options options according to these post suggestions)UART: I have also attempted a serial connection but am unable to connect with the following CubeProgrammer output: 10:41:50:393 : Serial Port COM4 is successfully opened. 10:41:50:393 : Port configuration: parity = even, baudrate = 1200, data-bit = 8,            &nbs

I working with the stm32cubeide version 1.9.0, stlink-v3 debugger and the stm32l4r9 with 1M flash. Everything was going fine until the code size reached 128 sectors ( ~ 50% of the flash). I'm now getting the following error when I attempt to download and debug the application:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Version 6.1.0Copyright (c) 2022, STMicroelectronics. All rights reserved.Starting server with the following options:       Persistent Mode           : Disabled       Logging Level             : 1       Listen Port Number        : 61234       Status Refresh Delay      : 15s       Verbose Mode    &nb

I have attached the .IOC file that will not migrate. Any help would be great.

Hello, I am trying to associate the DMA1 in M4 context with USART2 but whenever I click "add" on the right pane, I see no USART2 on that, on the contrary, I see UART4 it on DMA2 as shown below. If I try to put DMA2 in M4 context, UART4 now appears in DMA1 and I cannot Assign both of them to M4       No uart/usart when i click add , please see below image :       My aim is to associate the USART2 with the DMA1 if it is possible. Please guide. Regards, D

Win 10, STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0STM32F746-DiscoI'm learning QuadSPI and doing everything in bare metal with C, it gives me understanding of hardware. QSPI Flash IC, mouser, with datasheetShort summary of the problem: indirect read from QuadSPI Flash, no communication on datalines, Fifo treshold flag always set.I've never worked with QuadSPI before, so I read the reference manual of STM32F746, seemed more or less clear, at least I was ready to give it a shot, it usually works this way.I used TouchGFX generated code, which I opened in STM32CubeIDE, to grab some parameters of QuadSPI, and I also used a breakpoint while running TouchGFX program to check if my QuadSPI registers have same or similar values and if there is nothing important missing (since TouchGFX uses QuadSPI Flash differently, for one, not in indirect mode). I made sure my GPIO are configured identically, everything is clocked, etc. So, here is how I setup the stuff:void qspi_setup_indirect_mode(void){   //NOR Flash MT25QL1
