I need help with USART LOGGER _ON enabling. How to enable logger to send serial data via usart?I have in logger.h  - #define LOGGER_ON 1, also in logger.c #if (USE_LOGGER == LOGGER_ON).....#endif /* #if USE_LOGGER == LOGGER_ON */and platform.hHow to "USE_LOGGER" flag set to 1 (enabling logger) in main.c, where to put  USE_LOGGER = LOGGER_ON? Is it enabled via Cube_MX?

hello, i have a problem. When I make my LWIP configurations and try to ping my development board over the computer, I see a different address, not the IP address I set for my card. What is the reason of this? Do you have an idea? When I ping the IP address of the computer's ethernet port, I can successfully get a response.

Today I received several of my LED2000DR based LED boards. Everything worked flawlessly when using the chip as a plain LED driver. However, after trying to feed a PWM signal into the DIM pin the dimming worked for about a second but then the board went into a dead short. The input measures 0.7 Ohms on my DMM now. The only thing on the board is the LED2000DR and the LEDs it's powering. I tried this on several boards afterwards with the same result, some fail open, some fail as a short. The PWM was a 1000Hz 3.3V square wave with a variable duty cycle generated with a microcontroller (I also tried a PWM with full input voltage swing with a signal gen, but same result). Connecting the DIM pin to the positive/negative supply without any PWM worked fine. The ICs were obtained from DigiKey and have the following markings on them: "LED2K0", "G9302". Bellow I am attaching the schematic of the circuit in question. Please advise me how I can get dimming to work.Thank you.

Hello all,I need some help with a project I'm working on trying to help a disabled elderly family member. basically he have a 600L aquarium that stands on a cabinet, inside the cabinet are all of the aquarium support systems and one of them is small rectangular 10-15L that holds clean water with some nutrient/fertilizers mixed in ( can't remember exactly the name of this tank ) and every once in a while a small amount of water 100/300ml from this tank gets pumped up to the aquarium. its challenging for him to get up every time to check how full or empty the smaller tank is since he needs to squat/bend over to open the cabinet doors which he really having hard time to do. so I suggested that maybe I can help and put some kind of a sensor that will measure the water level ( in % ) in the tank and show it on a small tft display that I can mount on the outside of the cabinet door. that way he doesn't need to unnecessarily go to the cabinet and check, only when actually that tank reads low

Hi,I configured USB FS on my STM32WB55 NUCLEO Board and it works as I expected (configured as CDC). I can send and receive data to/from Host (my PC) but now I have the need to suspend temporarly Data Flow and then reprise it.My goal is to collect some data, elaborate them and then get some other data from host. To do so, I need to "suspend" USB communication end then "Resume" it. I tried to use USBD_LL_Suspend() and USBD_LL_Resume() but it seems like to get communication stuck. In particular, when I call USBD_LL_Suspend(), Host does not send data any longer and calling USBD_LL_Resume() seems like to have no effect.Any idea/suggestion?Thanks a lot in advance!Simo.

Hello,I am using STM32G041C8T6 controller and I am facing an issue with ADC even for a simplest conversion on ADC Channel 0. I am providing 2.12V on the Channel 0 (PA0) pin and the conversion result is always 4095. The signal comes from a voltage divider, tapped from the mid point of two 10K resistors put between 5V and GND. Infact the resistor towards the ground is a 10K NTC temperature sensor, so at 25*C the voltage is exactly 2.5V, and decreses with increasing temperature. I'm not using any DMA, interrupts, just polling as per the reference code for G0 series.I am following the simplest conversion of 1 channel with the following initialization from CubeIDE:static void MX_ADC1_Init(void) { ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /** Configure the global features of the ADC (Clock, Resolution, Data Alignment and number of conversion) */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DA

Greetings,I'm using a low power microphone and would like to turn it off when not in use. That is done by turning off the clock to microphone, which is generated in ADF as output clock. Stopping sample acquisition (either by TRGO using window mode acquisition mode or by calling HAL_MDF_AcqStop()) does not stop the output clock. The only way I found to stop it is to call HAL_MDF_DeInit(), but that takes multiple clock cycles. Is there a way to set output clock to only be enabled when sampling? Also, when I DeInit the MDF, the clock pin stays High. Is there a way to leave it low (just pulldown resistor doesn't work)?

I'm currently using a stm32f767 board and I'm going to try lcd this time.I need to use spi 9bit to write my lcd, but I set the data size to 9bit in the settings window.I want to implement it as ST7701.Below is the mode and code I set. Please check if there is no problem.Send D/C bits to the first bit together.I set it up like this.RESET CS pins, 8-bit data, TxData = cmd | 0x100 and send to HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA.CS pin SET check is done like this. Is this the right way to do a 9-bit transmission?

We have a very weird behavior in a battery powered IoT device. We should have a very low STOP mode current draw of 1.4 uA @ 3 VCC. The problem is, as soon as we use the RTC Alarm just once and although the alarm already fired during NORMAL operation, the current consumption is ~20 uA in STOP mode. The use of the wake up feature of the RTC does not cause this behavior, it's just alarms. Here is an example to reproduce this: // Globalsvolatile int alarmVal = 0;void HAL_RTC_AlarmAEventCallback( RTC_HandleTypeDef *hrtc ) {alarmVal = 1;}// Event Loopwhile(1) {RTC_AlarmTypeDef alarm;RTC_TimeTypeDef ts;RTC_DateTypeDef ds;// Disable AlarmHAL_RTC_DeactivateAlarm(&hrtc, RTC_ALARM_A); // Disable Interrupt__HAL_RTC_ALARM_CLEAR_FLAG(&hrtc, RTC_FLAG_ALRAF); // Clear Flag (RTC ALARM A)__HAL_RTC_ALARM_EXTI_CLEAR_FLAG(); // Clear Flag (EXTI)// Get Timedo {HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &ts, FORMAT_BIN);HAL_RTC_GetDate(&hrtc, &ds, FORMAT_BIN);} while(ts.Seconds == 59); // cheat: Inc

Hello, I am currently researching about possibilities in STM32MP1 dual core. I am trying to create user program that uses HW Semaphore. I used program from wiki:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Hardware_spinlock_overview.and makefile described here:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Create_a_simple_hello-world_applicationwith including builded linux kernel 5.15.67.But I can't build program, because of numerous errors. I was trying to resolve some of errors by including them hard-coded way into user space program, but I think, that is not the correct way to fix these errors. How to properly build program including kernel files? Is there any include to be included when using kernel files? Or any other makefile switch? See attached files...Thanks for any tips. Some of compile errors:Original post (with less description):https://community.st.com/t5/other-tools-mpu/stm32mp1-build-user-program-with-hwspinlock

Hello, I am using the NUCLE-F103RB and the STM32CubeIDE for developing and testing code. After my latest code change the program does not return form the below call of HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3)."TEST1" is printed to the terminal, but "TEST2" is not.Not sure if this is related, but during uploading to the NUCLEO the cursor stops is in the file sysmem.c at void *_sbrk(ptrdiff_t incr) This is the code where the program 'hangs'... sprintf(msgString, "TEST1\r\n"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t*)msgString, strlen(msgString) , 0xFF); /* Start the TIM Base generation in interrupt mode */ if (HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } sprintf(msgString, "TEST2\r\n"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t*)msgString, strlen(msgString) , 0xFF); Can this issue be related to memory management? Thank you!

I am using the stm32f4 discovery board and writing bare-metal drivers for the embedded flash memory.I am facing a strange problem when writing to flash memory, to save you time for reading code and when the error happens, here is the status:Before Error:FLASH_CR register: FLASH_SR register:    as you can see, PSIZE if configured correctly, but when this line of code run:  *global_pu32MemWriteVar = *(uint32_t *)argConst_pu8WriteData;  or in assembly it will be:   416 *global_pu32MemWriteVar = *(uint32_t *)argConst_pu8WriteData; 08000762: ldr r3, [pc, #216] ; (0x800083c <HAL_FLASH_Write+604>) 08000764: ldr r3, [r3, #0] 08000766: ldr r2, [r7, #4] 08000768: ldr r2, [r2, #0] 0800076a: str r2, [r3, #0]  I see PGPERR: Programming parallelism error get raised even though PSIZE is configured correctly and PG bit is set to 1.After Error:FLASH_CR register: FLASH_SR register:

I have a custom board based upon the B-G431B-ESC1. Using the LQFP48 foot print version of the same chip. It is missing a few pins, but my project is not using them. After creating a new project using STM32G431CBT6 and the importing the original from MC workbench, I have 2 faults showing on CubeMX.ADC1 and ADC2 Clock Prescaler cannot use clock div1I choose div4 as I can't see anything in the data sheets to exclude div1 and MX proceeds to generate the code. After loading the project into CubeIDE, I change the div4 to div1 and all compiles fine. Why does Cube MX create these errors? Is there an incompatibility?Thank you for any insight into this.Kind Regards.P

Installation of all STM32Cube software on Macs is problematic and appears to poorly supported. Suspect that's a market share problem vs. Windows.  But that's a topic for a more thorough discussion elsewhere. (I responded to a recent automated survey with a request to contact me for a full discussion.)In this particular case, I'm installing STM32CubeProgrammer from en.stm32cubeprg-mac-v2-14-0.zip.  No installation guidance (either a Startup doc or README file) packaged in the zip as normally expected. After several failed installation attempts (based on prior experience installing STM32Cube apps, e.g., Running the ,app installer from the CLI or changing file settings using xattr, I did a careful review of Programmer documentation.  So I finally found macOS Installation instructions in paragraph 1.2.3 on page 12 of the UM2237 document (notably nowhere nearby when I was in the middle of the installation process). The normal procedure outlined there failed.  The

I was looking at the datasheet for the VNH5019, and saw that the current sense gain tolerance is narrower as it drives higher currents. I am trying to use the driver in an application where the motor currents can range from about 100mA to 10 A, and am hoping to gain some insight on the tolerance range for the current sense in the 0 - 1000mA range, since I have seen a very wide range of errors in the current sense calculation (up to 100%, with outliers even worse than that).

I have read a lot of threads on different forums regarding my issue but non of the solutions were able to help me out.I have a STM32F469 Discovery board and I am unable to connect to it. I initially tried building a program on STM32Cube IDE and putting it in debug but was unable to as the error said no target detected. After researching on the issue, I came a across a forum that linked to this page which reasoned out the issue. But this solution also did not help. I have attached an image of the STM32CubeProgrammer alongside to highlight my setting.PS. I noticed that when I set the Reset mode parameter to Software Reset and click Connect. The parameter changes from Software Reset to Hardware Reset. I am not sure why this happens. Could you explain this also to me?Thank you.

ST example uses 400MHz / 4 = 100MHz for SDRAM. What should the SDRAM clock be when the system is running at 480MHz? If we use 480/4 then it is 120Mhz for SDRAM, but datasheet shows max of 100MHz for SDRAM! Are we stuck running SDRAM at 60Mhz? Or run the system at 400Mhz?What is the best way to get the max system performance?

I'm fairly new to TouchGFX as well as C++ inheritance so trying to understand how to implement a custom virtual function when a key is released. I see when I create an interaction in touchGFX so when a key is pressed it calls a virtual function...Which creates the following in the base class of the custom container...I understand how to override the startBrewCycle() virtual function in the non-base cpp file which is called with the pressed even in the callback below...How can I implement another virtual function stopBrewCycle() when the same button is released?

Hello,This article explains how to use sensor fusion and FSM in the UNICO-GUI. How can we utilize FSM and sensor fusion features in Arduino? Could you please clarify how we can effectively utilize unico-GUI in our diverse applications with Arduino?

Hello.I would like to use the STM32G0B0RE to write and read about 1KB of text data from an STM microcontroller to a USB memory device. When I looked for sample code to do this, I could not find any.So is there some kind of beginner's guide for writing and reading to USB memory using the STM32G0B0?Best regards.

Hi ,we are looking for a distance sensor that meets the below requirements1.Working distance 5mm to 200mm2. Resolution steps: 0.01mm steps what is the minimum resolution steps your sensor can provide. Let me know if you need anything else.

What's the difference between "LQFP32" and "LQFP 32 7x7x1.4mm"? Probably they both refer to the very same package?. A similar discrepancy appears for a lot of other packages, too. (For WLCSP it's a different matter.)

Hey there,I'm just getting started with touch sensing on the STM32L432KC, therefore I wondered about the following: I can just see "Group 2" in System Core > TSC (See picture). "Group 2" implicates, that there is a "Group 1".Is there also a "Group 1", which I can't see because of some missconfiguration? Thanks for the replies!Arndt Karger

Hello together,we have a board with an STM32H750I connected to a W25Q128 Quad SPI flash. We have our application code on the Quad SPI flash and run our application via XiP. This works fine. Now we work on our bootloader to update the application code in the field. We have a lot of free space on the external flash, so it would be interessting to keep 2 images on the external flash. Here is our idea how the memory map could look. QUAD-SPI0x9000 0000 – 0x9000 2000 Bootflags (decides where to jump to)0x9000 2000 – 0x9080 1000 Application 10x9080 1000 – 0x9100 0000 Application 2But we know that the application code is always build for location 0x9000 2000. So when we copy the code to location 0x9000 200 it works correct. But when we copy it to location 0x9080 1000 and jump there, it will fail of course. Is there any way to remap the QUAD SPI location? Or is the only way to compile it as "Position Independent Code" and take the burden of copying the GOT and PLT? Thanks all of your
