Solved

Hello everyone, I am working with the lsm6dsr sensor. How can I solve the position information or how much I move with this sensor? I am looking at projects with examples on github, but I could not find how to solve the directions, how much the sensor moves, etc. with this sensor. I would be glad if you can help.

Hi:I'm testing the VL53L4CX and I'm experiencing some problems:1. When an object is within 3.5m and there's a wall 5 metres away, sometimes the returned distance alternates between two distances.2. When there is a mirror within 3.5m, VL53L4CX sometimes will return a distance more than 3.5m incorrectly. After researching the returned data, I found that "Extended Range" is turned on incorrectly. Can I know how the "Extended Range" function works and how to control it? Thankyou.Cyt

Hi,I have an STM32H747IGT6 that I wish to:Continuously sample 4096 ADC samplesTransfer each sample from the peripheral to memory using DMATrigger an interrupt at the end of the conversionsAfter the CPU operates on the stored data, restart the process at item (1)The process works fine through (3) with the ADC configured as LL_ADC_REG_DMA_TRANSFER_LIMITED and the DMA configured with LL_DMA_MODE_NORMAL. However, I can't figure out how to restart the DMA / ADC. Can anyone offer guidance on how to restart a one shot DMA transfer to memory from an ADC?The ADC conversions are triggered from a timer. Thanks!

I have been testing with the VL53L1X TOF sensor and am curious on the durability of the sensor in rugged environments. Such places would look like an industrial environment where vibration and impacts in inevitable. The sensor PCB would be potted and fully enclosed in a containment box. However, an opinion by others on how it would fare would be greatly appreciated. I know the data sheet shows shock as being an issue. Thanks!

STM32H743We have 4 SPI busses running at 12.5MHz but the SPI clocks are sequentially. SPI 1 and 2 are using DMA Channel 1 while SPI 3 and 4 are using DMA Channel 2. We would like them to run in parallel. Can they run in parallel. The code uses HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() for each of the calls to the spi to Tx and Rx.The picture below definitely shows serialization of the accesses. Each access is 32 bytes. The picture above shows the clocks of 3 of the spi busses and it is quite evident that the SPI busses are not running in parallel.

Hello,I would like to know whether I understood the application note about the Vcap pins correctly. If there are 3 Vcap pins on the package, then 2 capacitors should be placed and one has to be connected to another. I'm not sure about this connection.

I have following code snippet, when I compile it with -O0 optimization level it gives below assembly code and I can observe value address on Expression window. But when I compile it with -O3 optimization level I couldn't observe address of value. Where is the storing location of value when compiled it with -O3 ?#define SRAM_ADDR 0x20000004U int main(void) { uint32_t value = 41; uint32_t *ptr = (uint32_t *)SRAM_ADDR; while(1) { value = *ptr; if(value) break; } while(1); return 0; }Disassembly :-O0 optimization :-O3 optimization :

Hello, I have a similar problem as it was asked herehttps://community.st.com/t5/st25-nfc-rfid-tags-and-readers/rfal-demo-question/m-p/157070#M2943 I am trying to read 15693 tags with a board I designed myself.I adjusted the RFAL library to use my own SPI port and the GPIO I assigned for connection to the IRQ pin. The rest as I can tell was the GT timer which uses systick and is already handled. Here are my setting #define RFAL_FEATURE_LISTEN_MODE false /*!< Enable/Disable RFAL support for Listen Mode */ #define RFAL_FEATURE_WAKEUP_MODE false /*!< Enable/Disable RFAL support for the Wake-Up mode */ #define RFAL_FEATURE_LOWPOWER_MODE false /*!< Enable/Disable RFAL support for the Low Power mode */ #define RFAL_FEATURE_NFCA false /*!< Enable/Disable RFAL support for NFC-A (ISO14443A) */ #define RFAL_FEATURE_NFCB false /*!< Enable/Disable RFAL support for NFC-B (ISO14443B) */ #define RFAL_FEATURE_NFCF false /*!< Enable/Disable RFAL support for NFC-F (FeliCa)

Hello, I'm trying to use a ToF-Sensor to track the distance of metal parts (sheets, cog wheels etc.) usually in the range of 0-60cm. The thing is that I am only interested in the distance of the surface that is directly below the sensor, the center of the FoV of the Sensor so to speak. I tried using the VL53L4CD Sensor, which is a Single Zone Sensor and while the readings where accurate for flat surfaces, they weren't for surfaces with sudden changes in height within the sensors FoV(obviously). Hence why I'm considering using a Multi-Zone Sensor to get the distance measurement I'm interested in. So is it possible to only measure the distance of the surface which is in the center of the sensors FoV this way? Which sensor should I consider and what settings should I use to get the most accurate measurement?

Heyho, first of all, I know this is a Microchip product, but their forum is rather dead. And I have seen some people here using the KSZ8863RLL. So please bear with me... I'm currently working on a big and complex PCB including the "dual PHY" KSZ8863RLL.In the current datasheet I just found in table 4-1 the info, that MIIM register 0x1D with Link (test) / status info is not supported on PHY1, but only PHY2.Is that a typo? In the following register description table 4-2 the register is listed for PHY1.Here's a screenshot of table 4-1:I need to start PCB layout soon, and might have to switch ports. Thanks in advance!

Hi,I have a use case where I need to read and write to an NFC tag. The read and write operation will always be done by an MCU (via st25R) and not by any other device (eg:- android device).Should I use the NDEF format for the data in this case ? What is the advantage of using NDEF ?

I'm looking for an alternative product to this diode.  I can't find any data sheets to the original product myself, so im hoping you can help me out.

In the ULD driver for the VL53L8 is the file vl53lmz_api.c. In line 354 to 364, the firmware is loaded in pieces of 0x8000 bytes:My microcontroller has not enough ram to handle such big blocks, so I have to load the firmware in smaller pieces. But for what are the write commands to register 0x7FFF between loading the FW blocks in line 358, 361 and 364?What has to be adjusted to write the FW e.g. in blocks of 0x2000 bytes?Used product: SATEL-VL53L8

Hello,I'm using BLE_p2pClient and BLE_p2pServer programs.I had pairing request in BLE_p2pClient to have both devices bonded. Now, I want to have a fast connection between client and server; actually, the connection between client and server is about 2.5 seconds.I should like not to have to discover again and again services and characteristics of the server by the client at each re-connection. Only once when the program starts. How to do that?Have you documentation descriving this?  (I have only found PM0271 §5.1.2).I have activated the SHCI_C2_BLE_INIT_OPTIONS_GATT_CACHING_USED in CFG_BLE_OPTIONS to initialize the BLE stack. But it is not sufficent!Thank you for your help.Best regards.                                    FWX.

hi Peter, have looked a lot around but i couldn't found what stand for marking B4.could you please help me? thanks a lot, Michele

hi,1- What's the best way to speed up the swipe container transition?2- How can I change the animation of swipe container? 3- SwipeContainer.cpp can not modify. how do I make changes permanently ?  thanks for help

Hi,What would be the consequence if there is a bootstrap diode used from pin 12 (Vcc) to pin 16 (boot), as used in the old days. I know that this should not be necessary because of the internal bootstrap circuit. So, can both "ways of working" used in parallel? Regards,Jacco

Hi everybody, I'm trying to configure the Wi-Fi module on my custom board (based on the STM32MP153, the Wi-Fi module already tested OK) in Access point mode, and I found the official guide to set hostapd tool to do that: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_a_WLAN_interface_on_hotspot_mode However, from the tutorial, it seems that hostapd is already installed and preconfigured on the machine, but on my distro (built from st-image-core with openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.07.27) it seems that is not present by default... How can I add the tool on Yocto layers? Do I have to modify the kernel too? Should be best to add it on my custom/board-specific meta-layer.  Thanks for your time

Hello Everyone!I'm facing a problem with all the examples on this package FP-AI-Vision and my LCD only displays noises. I have the board STM32H747I-Disco model MB1248-H747I-D03 and the display MB1166-A09. I realized that in this package doesn't has the drive NT35510 and this is important for my display to work, because of that I had changed the files STM32Cube\Repository\FP-AI-VISION1_V3.1.0\Drivers\BSP\STM32H747I-Discovery and STM32Cube\Repository\FP-AI-VISION1_V3.1.0\Drivers\BSP\Components to include all packages inside STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.1. Also, I had modified  the file stm32h747i_discovery_conf_template.h to include USE_LCD_CTRL_NT35510 1U and add the correct include path on the project. I had try to debug my code and it seems that the code is runing in this method:I appreciate if you can help me.

Hello, I've written a software to use the FDCAN (classic frame 500kbit/s - PB8/PB9 pins) on  Nucleo-H7ZI43 (FW_H7 V1.7.0 and stlink V3J13M4 FW)All works fine, I'm able to transmit and to receive message with different ID and DLC by mean Innomaker CAN-USB and MCP2562FD transceiver. If I use the same code on my  PCB and the same microcontroller, FDCAN is not initialized, no messages are transmitted or received. The electrical configuration how you can see on the schematic attached is the same of Nucleo-H7ZI43, in this case I'm using an external stlink-v3 debugger with V3J13M4B5S1 FW. I've checked several times the connections and electrical network, all it's correct from my point of view.To help the analisys I'm attaching also the clock.jpeg and can.c file. Please can you support me? RegardsChris

Hello, I use the original StLink V3 set, along with STM32CubeProgrammer via cmd. Sometimes I encounter an error where ST-Link jumps into Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR).I don't know how to resolve it. The only solution that works for me is to disconnect and reconnect the ST link to USB. However, this is problematic if I want it to function reliably in production. Is there any solution? All output:b' -------------------------------------------------------------------\\r\\n STM32CubeProgrammer v2.13.0 \\r\\n -------------------------------------------------------------------\\r\\n\\r\\n===== DFU Interface =====\\r\\n\\r\\nNo STM32 device in DFU mode connected\\r\\n\\r\\n===== STLink Interface =====\\r\\nST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR)\\r\\n\\r\\n-------- Connected ST-LINK Probes List --------\\r\\n\\r\\nST-Link Probe 0 :\\r\\n ST-LINK SN : \\xf0X\\xe5\\x02\\r\\n ST-LINK FW : \\r\\n Access Port Number : 7471203\\r\\n Board Name : \\r\\n---------------------------------------

I am using the SPC58 MCU product with the TRACE32 debugger. When changing the Life Cycle from "customer_delivery" to "in_field" with the trace32 script, debugging is only possible by entering the keycode. What should I do if I want to change the Life Cycle back to "customer_delivery"?

Hi,When attempting to connect to an STM32F030C8T6 MCU, ST-LINK Utility gives the following error message:"Can not connect to target! If you're trying to connect to an STM32W1xx device, please select Normal or HotPlug mode from Target->Settings menu.If you're trying to connect to a low frequency application , please select a lower SWD Frequency mode from Target->Settings menu. Can't reset the core" I have it connected via SWD. Pin 19 of ST-LINK/V2 is connected to the VDD of the MCU. Pin 1 is connected to VDD of the MCU. GND of MCU is connected to pin 20 of ST-LINK.How can I fix this error? I've had the same setup before and that has worked. This is the first time I'm getting this error. I've tried rebooting my PC & ST-LINK. I can't erase the chip because the ST-LINK Utility can't connect to it.

Hii everyone,I am facing the problem for the data logging in flash.i am not able to keep track of the variable till where the flash memory is filled is there any way to sort out this problem. i am not able to erase the single word to update the address at particular location after writing to the flash instead whole sector is getting erased.
