Help me find the diode.

Hi CommunityI'm working on a project with stm32F407VET6, and I need a database for storing data. I found the ITTIA DB, and I install it from stm32 cube ide in the middleware categories (FreeRTOS support) but when I read the documentation in the official site, I read that it's not free, but I install it in stm32 normally.so, I need to know if ITTIA is free for stm32. and if not, Is there a free database for the stm23?thanks.

Hello all,I am implementing an external loader for STM32F429 and W25Q64. The STM32CubeIDE Version is 1.15.1 and STM32CubeProgrammer is 2.16.0.I success programming a 64k bin file with the external loader while failed to program a bigger size file (150K). The attachments are the logs of STM32CubeProgrammer .The Dev_inf is as below:  struct StorageInfo const StorageInfo = { "W25Q64_STM32F429BIT6_SPI", SPI_FLASH, 0x90000000, 0x00800000, 0x0100, //256b 0xFF, // Specify Size and Address of Sectors (view example below) 0x0800, 0x1000, //4kB 0x00000000, 0x00000000, };   May I have any suggestions on this case? Thanks.

Hi,I have a X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 and trying to use ST25R3916B RFAL library with nRF5340 from nordic semiconductor. SPI communication and initialization are working. I am running  demoCycle() function from demo_polling.c. However, in the logs, I receive always null as ID or Block Data.  D: Toggling Wake Up mode OFF D: ISO14443A/NFC-A card found. UID: (null) D: Read Block: OK Data: (null) D: Toggling Wake Up mode ON When I put my phone close to reader I receive following:  D: NFCA Passive ISO-DEP device found. UID: (null) D: Select NDEF Application: OK Data: (null) D: Select CC: OK Data: (null) D: Read CC: OK Data: (null) D: Toggling Wake Up mode OFF Why is it not reading any data? How can I run the demo?

Hi,The chip I am using is STM32WB55RGV6. I put it into shutdown mode and tested its current. I am using instrument room N6705C for power supply, with a voltage set to 3.3V for testing. The test result is an average current chamber of a few nA, but the waveform of the current is fluctuating, and the maximum current will look like 5uA. Is this normal? What should the current waveform look like in a normal shutdown mode？It can be confirmed that there are basically no external connections to the IO port, and they are all configured in analog mode. I am using an inductor of 2.2uH.Thanks.

Hi everyone,we have prototype with three STM32F030RC and with very strange behavior. All mcu has shared NRST (pulled up, for testing not externally driven) and BOOT0 (for testing pulled low permanently) pins. For a testing purpose I created clean project in CubeIde (1.5.1), in MX was configured only GPIO and in main while loop was added one pin toggle after 1ms (just for doing anything). When I'm stepping debugger line after line ('step-into'), application works well, but when I hit 'resume' button (or the 'step-over' button is pressed a few time) MCU is resetted (OCD prints 'external reset detected') and after pausing the code is 'lost' somewhere around 1xffff... Address according to manual belongs to the bootloader. When I check RCC_OCR register, it says the 'software reset' occured. When I'm looking to BOOT pin with osciloscope the signal is rock stable low and NRST pin is truly dropped into reset for about 40us.I really don't understand what is wrong here. How can application

Hi ,I want to install X-CUBE-DPOWER for stm32g474 board but this message appears This software is not available for download. Can anyone help me solve this problem?Kind Regards

Hello,I have found a strong isssue in:STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.15.1Build: 21094_20240412_1041 (UTC)(C) 2024 STMicroelectronics ALL RIGHTS RESERVEDThe IOC configurator for the STM32H755 lacks an option in the RCC configurationPower Parameters -> SupplySourceThe PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY setting is missing. This setting is required for the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q board which default supply configuration:the SMPS feeds the core without using the LDO.Regards.

I am transmitting a CAN signal using bluepill but there is no signal on the CAN Bus. I added two counters which will check whether transmission was successful with the following code.if(HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage(&hcan, &TxHeader, TxData, &TxMailbox) == HAL_OK){ transmitCount++; HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_13, 0); } else { failCount++; HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_13, 1); }The transmitCount is increasing till 19 everytime, and then failCount starts to increase. This is not happening always, sometimes it works properly, sometimes it causes issue. I currently have 2 bluepills, this issue is happening in one and the other is working properly. but earlier, both bluepills were working.I have made the CAN bus hardware as stable as possible to eliminate any loose connections. So loose connection is highly unlikely. They why might it be behaving differently everytime? Why is it increasing till exactly 19 everytime?I have attached the full project, ioc file and main.c file w

Posted on August 07, 2014 at 12:03Hello community, i try to use the PinMap wizard in SPC5 Studio 3 and i receive the meassage ''Device specific model ''SPC563M64L7'' not supported!'' and it seems that there is no support for any model cause i try it with different cpu's. I use the SPC56M- Discovery board and i'm wondering also that this board is not available in the SPC5Studio Application Wizard. Any ideas? Thanks for your help! - Marc

I will be testing out the VL53L8CX_NB, perhaps next week. I notice it has a setting for the number of targets detected per zone. My plan is to have 8x8 setting, so 64 zones. I note the firmware has setting of 1 target per zone. The current setting is strongest target order. My plan is to set the target order to nearest and the target number to 2. Will there be sufficient memory RAM for this? With regards to RAM does this mean the host controller, or the TOF sensor device. If the issue is at the host controller end, it should be easier to resolve. I am hoping just changing this parameter to 2, will be sufficient, for accessing data with regards to 2 targets.

How to attach code in message so that it appears in grey box?   Many thanks

I am using a touch controller with TouchGFX on a custom board. It is using I2C1 on the MCU and is working fine with TouchGFX. However, when MX_TouchGFX_Init() runs it is reconfiguring pins on the MCU for I2C2 that I am using for other functions. I2C2 is not being used and I never enabled or configured it in CubeMX. HAL::initialize() in the following TouchGFX code is remapping the GPIO pins to I2C2: void TouchGFXGeneratedHAL::initialize(){HAL::initialize();registerEventListener(*(Application::getInstance()));enableLCDControllerInterrupt();enableInterrupts();setFrameBufferStartAddresses((void*)frameBuf, (void*)(frameBuf + sizeof(frameBuf) / (sizeof(uint32_t) * 2)), (void*)0);} I am reconfiguring the pins back to GPIO after MX_TouchGFX_Init() runs, but would like to fix this in TouchGFX.There is a reference to a touch controller driver in the TouchGFX HAL - touchController(touchCtrl), butI can't find where TouchGFX is trying to use I2C2 when my touchscreen driver is using I2C1 a

hello, I'm using a vl53l1cb satel board, but I'm not been able to get a reading greater than 4m (aprox).I'm using the vl53l1 zephyr RTOS driver, and I'm aware that the roi selection is different than the one of the UM2133, so I'm not selecting a specific roi, but still the maximun distance reported by the sensor is 4. Do you guys have any suggestion on how to be able to get the maximun distance reading using the zephyr driver?

Hello,Is there a STEP file for the Nucleo-L552ZE-Q? Thank you

Hi. guys.I'm trying to make BLE communication to PC with the SPI interface to the analog-front-end in my custom stm32wb55 board. However, I found that the transmitted data through BLE to PC appears in SPI received data (RX).So, can anybody explain why this interference happened between BLE and SPI?Do two communications use the same Attribute data memory? Plus, please suggest a solution for this.

Hello,I have a basic question regarding timer behavior in STM32.I have a common callback function HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) that handles timer interrupts at defined periods. I have set different priorities for timer global interrupts in my CubeMX NVIC configuration. My questions are:Does setting the TIMx global interrupt preemption priority configure the priority for all interrupts generated by the timer (e.g., HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback, HAL_TIM_TriggerCallback, TIMx_IRQHandler)?What is the difference between TIMx_IRQHandler and HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback?If I use a common callback function HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) and check the timer instance, will it respect the interrupt priorities and return to the currently running task? For example, if a higher priority timer interrupt occurs while a lower priority timer callback is being executed, will the CPU handle the higher priority interrupt first, then resume and complete the

Hello,I am using the X-CUBE-SBSFU package with the KMS to perform firmware update on my ST MCU.To verify the authenticity of the firmware I use ECDSA. However, I don't understand why I only need to provide a private key but not the public key. If I understood correctly the ECDSA should be used to sign the firmware update and this is done by the postbuild script but to verify the signature, the bootloader should be using a public key associated to the private key. However, the KMS only contains the private ECDSA key. Why do we verify the firmware with the private key and not with a public key ?Kind regards,Benjamin

Hello,Just fount a bug on the LL driver of VREFBUF on STM32U575when you want to configure internal Vref to 2.5V and you use the nest function:LL_VREFBUF_SetVoltageScaling(LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3);where LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3  should set VRS bits of CSR REG to 0x3 it set it to 0x4 instead.the problem is in the definition of the term  LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3#define LL_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE3   VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_2 /*!< Voltage reference scale 1 (VREF_OUT4) */where#define VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_2    (0x04UL<< VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_Pos) /*!< 0x00000030 */where:#define VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_Pos   (3U)0x04UL<< VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_Pos  should be equal to  0x00000030 but it actually equal to 0x00000040therefor wrong value is set in the VRS bits.

I have been looking at the power consumption on an STM32U031K8U6 when it is put into standby mode with the RTC setup to regularly wake up the processor. Most recently I had the wake-up time set to 250ms. The processor wakes up and does the following- the requisite initialization- resets the RTC wakeup timer- gets a wakeup count from a backup register and increments it- if the wakeup count is greater than or equal to 40:   * the wakeup count is set back to zero   * an LED is turned   * HAL_Delay(5) is called   * the LED is turned off.- the new wake up count is written into the backup register- HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() is called to put the MCU back into standby mode.------------The above code works as expected.I have been using STM32CubeIDE with the Device Configuring Tool to do this work.I have been running the MCU off of the MSI clock. I had done multiple builds with the MSI set for lower clock rate, The latest was 200K befo

Hi,I have to read both image files(BMP and JPEG) and also text files from either uSD or USB pen drive. But - despite having written quite a bit of code through the years - I have never developed any code that does that specifically. nor do I have previously used the STM32 or STM32 tool chain. Just a couple of questions:1) which one is easier, faster and simpler to implement? The uSD card or the USB pen drive?2) would it be better / easier to use also FreeRTOS or not?3) What are the libraries to install/use? Are there any code samples? Any additional pointers are also welcomed! :) Thank you very much :)

After downloading en.x-cube-matter-v1-0-3.zip and attempting to install from a local folder, as CubeIDE 1.14.1 nor 1.15.1 have it listed as a package yet.It asks for the .zip or .pack file, shortly after selecting the zip file I get the message as in the snip below.Tried on 3 different Windows 11 pro 64bit machines, from a Core i5 to a Core i9 13900.

We have custom HW with an STM32F303VC processor. There is a 12 MHz crystal with an 18pF in parallel wired to OSC_IN and OSC_OUT.The power budget is basically unlimited so we would like to run the device as fast as possible with this configuration.Peripherals used:I2CSPIPWM on TIM1 and TIM3TIM2 (SYS) TimerUSBUSART1USART2GPIOADCThe application functions correctly with the exception of the UART Baud rates being incorrect and the PWM frequencies are not what I expect. Auto baud detection is working for now and the PWM is connected to a duty cycle dependent device so this is not really a problem for now as well.I would like to get the baud rate straightened out and get the clock settings optimized. STM32 Micro clock configuration is a weak area for me.Current settings:

I'm a new user to STM32CubeMX. I tried to generate code for IWDG on the STM32F746NGHx and the pProject Manager Setting dialog appeared saying 'The Firmware Package (STM32CU FW_F7V1.17.1) or one of its dependencies required by the Project is not available in your STRM32CubeMX Repository. Do you want to download this now? Yes or No."I click Yes and a User Authentication Manager dialog pops up and saying "Please login to download a software package. 'OK'"I click 'OK' and a box appears with a spinning icon and message "Loading.... please wait."Then a User Authentication Dialog appears with 5 undulating blue lines appear. This eventually times out. Then the dialog Authentication Error Manager appears saying "Connection lost... Try check the network etc,."The same thing happens when I click the myST icon and try to log in.I'm clearly missing something very fundamentally that isn't intuitively obvious to me being a first time user. Please advise.  Thank you,  scotte

Hey All, I'm looking to bootstrap a custom NFC antenna and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for how to attach a ST NFC chip to a silver nanoparticle printed antenna using a laser jet (with this ink).  Someone suggested using conductive epoxy (like this), but I wanted to post here to see what folks thought. Thanks in advance for any responses!
