Solved

Dear @KDJEM.1 ,I have seen that in STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.16.0 this issue is solved if the "Generate peripheral inizialization as a pair of '.c/.h' files per peripheral" is NOT selected in the ".ioc". Otherwise, the problem keeps there and "HAL_PWREx_EnableVddUSB()" is not called.Here, you can see the code if the option is NOT selected:    void HAL_PCD_MspInit(PCD_HandleTypeDef* hpcd) { RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0}; if(hpcd->Instance==USB_DRD_FS) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USB_DRD_FS_MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END USB_DRD_FS_MspInit 0 */ /** Initializes the peripherals clock */ PeriphClkInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_USB; PeriphClkInitStruct.UsbClockSelection = RCC_USBCLKSOURCE_HSI48; if (HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&PeriphClkInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /* Enable VDDUSB */ HAL_PWREx_EnableVddUSB(); /* Peripheral clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_USB_CLK_ENABLE(); /* USB_DRD_FS interrupt Init */ HAL_

I am starting to experiment with stm32f411vet6 (discovery), I have passion for STM32, looking forward to learn and help.When I turn on UART 6 and test, the default pins are PA9 and PA10, however it doesn't work (some error characters like question mark appear and don't work anymore). However when I switch PA9 and PA10 to PB3 and PA15, UART 6 works fine.I tried setting PA9 and P10 with output feature then PA9 and PA10 work properly. So what are the possibilities why PA9 and PA10 don't work with UART mode? And how to test it?Thanks!

I can't get TIM15 or TIM17 to work on a Nucleo-F302R8 board. If I examine the peripheral memory where TIM15 (0x40014000) and TIM17 (0x40014800) should be, I always read back all zeros.For example, using gdb I write to the timer's ARR register and then read back:For TIM15: set *0x4001402c =0x5a5ax/20xw 0x40014000 returns all zeros.For TIM16: set *0x4001442c =0x5a5ax/20xw 0x40014400 returns the expected value at 0x4001442c.For TIM17: set *0x4001482c =0x5a5ax/20xw 0x40014800 returns all zeros.According to the stm32f302r6-8.pdf data sheet, the STM32F302R8 has both TIM15 and TIM17 timers. I tested this on a brand new, unused Nucleo-F302R8 board and a used one.What am I missing?Thanks,Tom

Hi, I'm using a STM32L031K6 with platform.io & arduino framework. I know this forum is not relevant to platform.io or arduino, but most of my code is with LL drivers which should change nothing (but maybe ?). First, i don't understand the IRQn. I'm using PB1 as input interrupt on rising, it's on line 1, so to start, it should be : NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI0_1_IRQn, NVIC_EncodePriority(NVIC_GetPriorityGrouping(),0, 0)); //as refered : EXTI0_1_IRQn = 5, /*!< EXTI Line 0 and 1 Interrupts But the interrupt work only if i enable EXTI2_3_IRQn. I don't get it, and in example EXTI_ToggleLedOnIT for NUCLEO-L073RZ, there is the same +1 on IRQn.So, change made, and i can see the change of the interrupt on IEXTI->PR, depending on the rising on PB1. the problem is the call back function. On STM32 IDE, there is a *_it.h/c which don't exist on platform.io. Maybe the point come here.First, i wanted to change the function handler using :void IRQ_Module_0(void) {;} NVIC_SetVector(EX

Hi,I am using the continuous mode of the ADC to continuously sample a channel and transfer the data by DMA. I have set the ADC frequency to 32 Mhz , and the sampling CLK to 3.5 CLK. According to the manual , the whole sampling conversion time should be 0.5us. But based on the difference between the data I got  and the actual waveform, I assume that the interval between each data is much longer than 0.5us.What I want to confirm is whether the ADC is able to do the sampling interval up to 0.4us（The manual claims that） in continuous mode. if not, how should the time be calculated.Thanks

Hello,I would like to enable and disable certain interrupts pertaining to the GPDMAs within my program at times. Particularly the transfer complete interrupt. I would assume that I should be able to simply change the register value with GPDMA2->C0CR &=~GPDMA_C0CR_TCIE; but it appears that im only allowed to reference the SECCGFR, PRIVCFGR, RCFGLOCKR, MISR, and SMISR registers. Why is this the case? What must I do to be able to disable the TCIE interrupt? I have tried to use __HAL_DMA_DISABLE_IT(&hdma_adc2, DMA_IT_TC); which throws a hard fault.Thank you!

Hello everyone,I got the above mentioned Eval boards with the following adaptions to suit my application:- Tx coil connected to STEVAL-WBC86TX: WE 760308101104 - Rx coil  connected to STEVAL-WLC38RX: Custom PCB antenna with ~1.5 µH self-inductance, ~ 9 x 9 mm^2 size- Rx Ctank: 1.57 µF --> leads to a resonance frequency of ~102 kHz for the receiver circuit When I place the receiver coil in 2 mm distance to the transmit coil, I can see the ping by a repeating short light-up of D7 on the STEVAL-WLC38RX board. However, there is no power transfer and STSW-WPSTUDIO connected to the transmitter indicates a signal strength timeout as EPT reason. Here is my TX configuration:Also, here is a screenshot of the AC1 & AC2 signal on the receiver coil that I can see when the transmitter sends a ping:I assume that the coupling between my antennas is too bad for a sucessful communication and power transfer between the boards. Is there any measure I can take on the Tx side to improv

Hello! I am continuing my journey to Zigbee on WB55 and facing new strange behaviorIf i select Temperature measurement server or Pressure measurement server or whatever server, the code hangs on zigbee_app_info.temperature_meas_server_1 = ZbZclTempMeasServerAlloc(zigbee_app_info.zb, SW1_ENDPOINT, TEMP_MIN_1, TEMP_MAX_1, TEMP_TOLERANCE_1); If I choose a client, the process of joining has successfully started. If I choose something where i should not choose MIN/MAX of measurement, the process of joining successfully startedI use MIN/MAX params what I've found in the TemperatureMeasServerCoord example#define TEMP_MIN_1 (int16_t)0xf060 /* -40C */#define TEMP_MAX_1 (int16_t)0x30d4 /* 125C */#define TEMP_TOLERANCE_1 (int16_t)0x0032 /* +-0.5C */But, i cant set `TEMP_MIN_1 ` in the CubeMX - it just drops my attempts to set HEX and returns to it's initial negative value.This values are unsuccessful too #define TEMP_MIN_1 -4000#define TEMP_MAX_1 0x30d4#define TEMP_TOLERANCE_1

Hi everyone, I’m working with the STM32H747I-DISCO board and its onboard QSPI flash (Micron MT25QL512ABB). I’m encountering a frustrating issue:  Problem: Writes to even addresses (e.g., 0x90000000, 0x90000002) work perfectly. Writes to odd addresses (e.g., 0x90000001, 0x90000003) either fail silently or corrupt data. What I’ve tried: Configured QSPI in 1-line and 4-line modes (with/without Memory-Mapped Mode). Ensured sector erasure (4KB) before writing. Used both PAGE PROGRAM (0x02) and QUAD PAGE PROGRAM (0x32) commands. Verified signals with an oscilloscope (no obvious timing issues). I am using this sample codes: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader/tree/contrib/QSPI_Drivers/MT25QL512 Questions: Is this a hardware limitation of the QSPI flash or the STM32 controller? What’s the correct configuration to write single bytes to odd addresses?

Hi all !I need to know is it possible to communicate (data transfer) between ST25R3916B and Mobile application for both Android and iOS is possible or not.If yes I need to know by which type of NFC communcation I can able to acheive and If there is any source to do that it will be very useful As of my research with ST25R3916B it is not possible to communicate with iOS so I need help to do it so.Thanks in Advance

We are developing the STM32MP257F-DK development board. We searched the development documents on the official website of ST and found the development documents of STM32MP257F-DK (https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MPU_Developer_Package#Installing_the_components_to_develop_software_running_on_Arm_Cortex-A_-28OpenSTLinux_distribution-29). However, there is a sentence "Go on st.com to download the STM32MP2 Developer Package, en.SOURCES-stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.11.06.tar.gz file.". We did not find the source code download entrance of STM32MP2 in the link provided. We further found the source code of the linux kernel in github (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/linux/tree/v6.6-stm32mp), but did not find the device tree file for the STM32MP2 series. Please let us know how to get the source code of the STM32MP257F-DK so that we can explore it and add our device driver.

I am Using ST NFC tap app on an Android phone .I am using STm32L053 to communicate with ST25DV64KC board.I can send the data to ST25DV64KC  through I2c read write and have enabled mailbox .Now when I tap the tag with mobile I can see on mobile that mailbox is enabled and message PUt via host is also enabled.Now I want to read the message sent by I2c host(STM32L071) , so I am trying to Send Command C0 but in reply get tag not in the field. If I give command 20 it is successful and in response I get the data , i can read different blocks with this. But do not get any ans for command C0. (Response is always Tag not in the field ,though VCC is there)For any other command I get response asERROR 01 02(command not recognised)can anybody tell me what could be the reasonTIAAshwini

Hi,I am trying to modify the USBPD_Analyer Demonstration to use a fixed PDO definition in the usbpd_pdo_defs.hEventually I would like to modify it to create a source slave as it is not available in the CubeMonitor-UCPD but to begin with I am just adding the fixed sources already in the code.I have commented out #define _USBPD_PWR_IF_C      in usbpd_pwr_if.c to use the definition ofPORT0_PDO_ListSNK[USBPD_MAX_NB_PDO]  in the usbpd_pdo_defs.hand I have also added #include "usbpd_pwr_if.h" to the usbpd_pdo_defs.h as the compiler was warning of implicit declarations of PWR_A_50MA, PWR_V_100MV etc.Now when I compile the project I getmultiple definition of PORT0_PDO_ListSNK multiple definition of USBPD_NbPDO in usbpd_dpm_core.o, usbpd_dpm_user.o, bsp_gui.o  and gui_api.oI can see that PORT0_PDO_ListSNK is used in these file but don't understand why it thinks there are multiple definitions. I would be grateful if you c

My setup is macOS 15.0 SequoiaSTM32CubeIDE 1.16.1STLink-Server v2.1.1When trying to program or debug a device the following error is shown:Even after re-installing ST-Link serverI have rebooted and re-installed ST-Link Server, but the issue persists.It's not a show stopper as I can use STM32CubeProgrammer to program the device, on the same machine.

Hello, in my plan, I want to use a standart power supply (LDO) for STM32H757xI in package  WLCSP156. In the manual for STM32H757xI I didn't find any information on how it should be connectedIs it correct ? VLXSMPS (GND)VFBSMPS (GND)VSSDSI (GND)VSSSMPS (GND)VDDSMPS (GND)

MCU:STM32U585xxEnv:ThreadX + USBX + FileXI want to use USBX add my own class type, but I'm already have 3 classes, HID, MSC and CDC ACM, it means 4 classes after added my own.In file (ux_device_descriptors.h) have a define (USBD_MAX_SUPPORTED_CLASS  3U), this value determined the (tclasslist) array size, also the framework max class, can not be changed by user define or STM32CubeMX(no option find).If I change this define, it will be overwrite by STM32CubeMX when generated code. How can I do this correctly?

Hello,I am trying to realise my own bootloader on my STM32U575 and have found the following article:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/stm32u575-custom-bootloader-bootloader/td-p/584218Unfortunately this does not work for me. I am using a STM32u575VGT and the following code:Function at main.cstatic void _bootJumpToFirmware() { typedef void (*pFunction)(void); #define APPLICATION_ADDRESS 0x0803C000 pFunction JumpToApplication; JumpToApplication = (pFunction) (*(volatile uint32_t*) (APPLICATION_ADDRESS + 4)); __set_MSP(*(uint32_t*) APPLICATION_ADDRESS); JumpToApplication(); }STM32U575VGTX_FLASH.ld in bootloader project/* Memories definition */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 768K SRAM4 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x28000000, LENGTH = 16K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 240K }STM32U575VGTX_FLASH.ld in main project/* Memories definition */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 768K SRAM4 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x28000000, LENGTH = 16K

Hello, I created an app form my STM32H7474I-DISCO board to test SD card based on this example. I spent a couple of hours with porting it to H747I-DISCO board, but finally it worked: I could save and load a file from an SD Card. I implemented the whole thing into my TouchGFX based project on same discovery board. I could build and run the project but when I tried to write a new file the SD Card was mounted fine but creating a new file failed with FR_NOT_READY (The physical drive cannot work) error. uint32_t byteswritten; if(f_mount(&SDFatFS, (TCHAR const*)SDPath, 0) != FR_OK) { Error_Handler(); } else { //Open file for writing (Create) if(f_open(&SDFile, "STM32.TXT", FA_CREATE_ALWAYS | FA_WRITE) != FR_OK) { Error_Handler(); } else { //Write to the text file res = f_write(&SDFile, wtext, strlen((char *)wtext), (void *)&byteswritten); if((byteswritten == 0) || (res != FR_OK)) { Error_Handler(); } else { f_close(&SDFile)

Hello.I am designing a circuit with stm32mp157f.I'm looking for eMMC when choosing memory because 4Gbit slc nand flash is too expensive.In the datasheet, I read in the data sheet that stm32 supports emmc.The question is as follows.Is it correct that eMMC can be used even if it is not SLC(pSLC, MLC...) like IS21EF04GP-JCLI-TR?(It's my first time using mpu and memory. So it's very difficult for me to choose memory.)Is the QSPI flash of STM32MP157F-ev1 used for RAM?  Regards,Youngjun.

We are using an ST25R3916B  to read and write to both ST25TV512C tags and Mifare Classic 1K cards. While we have successfully communicated with ST25 tags, we are encountering issues at the authentication stage with Mifare Classic.Steps We Are Following:Ensure Activation StateBefore sending authentication commands, we ensure the reader is in the RFAL_NFC_STATE_ACTIVATED state.Send Authentication Command to Retrieve the 4-Byte ChallengeMifare Classic authentication follows a challenge-response mechanism. To begin, we must send the authentication command and obtain a 4-byte random challenge from the card.The command consists of:Byte 0: Authentication command (0x60 for Key A, 0x61 for Key B).Byte 1: Target block number.Bytes 2-7: 6-byte key (Key A or Key B).Bytes 8-11: Card UID (copied from the detected card structure).uint8_t authCmd[12];authCmd[0] = 0x60; // Authenticate using Key AauthCmd[1] = block; // Block numbermemcpy(&authCmd[2], keyA, 6); // Copy the 6-byte keymemcpy

Hello. I'd like to debug STM32H723ZG Nucleo Board, connecting directly with PC. Instead of the basic USB-mini cable, is it possible to cut and work on the USB cable to separate it into 5V, DP, DM, and GND, and then directly connect it to the board for debugging?In the User Manual, the pins for DP and DM are PB14 and PB15.I attatched the screenshot of manual and my hardware setup. thanks.

Looking for any suggestions.I grabbed a Nucleo_F411RE board and hooked it up to a bog standard 600PPR rotary quadrature encoder and set up a basic test program in Cube IDE. I've done this a few times with F407 boards (my MCU of choice for most projects), never had a problem, but I couldn't get it to behave properly.The code is trivial - standard TIM1 or TIM2 (tried both) encoder mode setup in CubeMX, then read the TIMx-CNT register once a second. No interrupts or anything, just standard CubeMX setup, latest CubeIDE as of today.On the F411 it was doing weird things.1. When the encoder was stationary, the count changed back and forth by one once every 500ms. 2. It consistently missed 75% of counts.I beat my head against the wall for a while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and couldn't see anything.So, I pulled out a couple of F407VG boards (a custom one and a 307 Disco) and pulled the wires off the Nucleo and plugged them into the 407 boards, whipped up the same code, sa
