Hello There,We are using the board stm32mp257-ev1. Which has "STPMIC25A".I want to change voltage of LDO2 and BUCK4 on boot permanently (NVM of stpmic25A).Can i change these supply from stm32mp257-ev1 board itself ? If yes, How ?  Thanks and Regards,Ishan

Hi, I was trying to implement timer interrupt on an ST32F407 Discovery board. The ST-Link on my board has been broken so I used an external ST-Link dongle and I have it connected by following this post:https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/182763/how-to-use-an-external-st-link-v2-with-the-stm32f4-discovery-board I set up the timer so it will trigger interrupt once every 1s, but when I upload the code it does not go into interrupt. Only when I debug and put a break point in the callback function that it can execute the interrupt. Here is a link to my code:https://github.com/datcamap/DISCOVERYstm32.git Callback function

I want to measure ADC on multiple pins. I don't need DMA, just measure PA0 then measure PA2. Measuring PA0 works, but when I switch the channel to 2 it still measures from PA0:In my main loop I do this:  // Configure channel  ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};  sConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_2;  sConfig.Rank = ADC_RANK_CHANNEL_NUMBER;  if (HAL_ADC_ConfigChannel(&hadc, &sConfig) != HAL_OK) {    return 0;  }  // Read one ADC value  HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc);  HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc, HAL_MAX_DELAY);  uint32_t adcValue = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc);  HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc);For rank I tried 0, 1, 2, ADC_RANK_CHANNEL_NUMBER. Still only measures PA0 not PA2.Here is my MX_ADC_Init static void MX_ADC_Init(void){  ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};  hadc.Instance = ADC1;  hadc.Init.OversamplingMode = DISABLE;  hadc.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV1;  hadc.Ini

I want to know what the C library in the GCC toolchain used by STM32 MCUs

I was using Nucleo-h563zi board in which my application was to run it using external power source so for that i shifted the jumper to E5V to power the board usign external 5V. I was using AMS1117 voltage regulator to convert it to 5V from 12V but accidentaly due to failure or it 12V was given to E5V pin after the LD4 and LD6 led is red and the LD5 is not turning on as usual when the jumper is shifted to STLK for programming. After this when i try to program by changing the jumper to STLK it is detected but while uploading it is showing "No stlink device found"i found that the 5V,3.3V is shot circuited. what is the possible reason and how to repair it.Can you please suggest some way to repair it.

Hello, the problem here is that SPI works :) I am successfully using SPI on my STM32H743 MCU for many years now.Now I encountered the problem with the same code, the same configuration of SPI but the difference is that the slave SPI chip is not there ( a new module with the same chip is not yet assembled). I am running the same code to debug something else , yet this SPI communication returns HAL_OK ! No timeout!I never had this before ('cause I always had my slave chip connected) . The HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive() function of SPI library still returns HAL_OK :)Here is a fragment of my code (SPI configured duplex master, data 16-bit, FIFO =1, speed 1.875 MBits/s, software driving CS) :Spi4NSSEn; // chip select enabled// addr_cmd[] provides 2 addresses for 2 channels of ADC converter// pots_bin is a buffer for the ADC result in 0-256 range of POT sweepif(HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(&pots_hspi, (uint8_t *)addr_cmd, (uint8_t *)pots_bin, 2, 5000) != HAL_OK ) // transmit and receive 2 dat

Hello, I was wondering about the reasons to supply external clocks to the N6 MCU, since it seems that via HSI and LSI there are clocks integrated into the MCU. I am having trouble to understand whether the internal clocks can satisfy my requirements:- I don't have special accuracy requirements for LSE/LSI nor HSI/HSE- I am using the CSI-2 interface- I am using SPI and UART Interface Are there reasons to supply external clocks? Are there other considerations that I might have to take into account? (especially for example considering data rates of the interfaces that I am using or other) Best RegardsLucas

Hello! Is it possible to save data to EEPROM in STM8S001J3 after VDD drops (power outage)?I would appreciate any case indication. I appreciate any help in advance.

Hello, everyone,My project uses the WB55CGU6 microcontroller. The project is for me to be able to pair with the microcontroller via a phone app (e.g. BT Simple terminal) and use commands to control it. For example, if I send ‘1’ in ASCI on the phone application, the stm32wb will light the diode which is connected to the GIPOA_01 port, if I send ‘2’, the stm32wb will light the diode which is connected to the GIPOA_02 port or any other complex procedure. I would also like, for example, the processor itself to send me cyclically to the phone application, e.g. data from some sensor.I would like to know what ‘Ble Application type’ to set.Alternatively, which example to focus on (example that contains an .ioc file) so that I can preview the BLE solution and configurationI am just starting my adventure with STM32 but previously I did a lot of projects on ATmega and such a project was done with HC-05 and a processor that was connected to it via USART. The processor received data from the BME-28

Hello,I am developing a GUI application with TouchGFX which I would like to run on a STM32F767ZI connected via LTDC to a display with RGB888 interface. The display datasheet: https://newhavendisplay.com/content/specs/NHD-5.0-800480AF-ASXP.pdfI am having problems with the configuration in CubeMX. I followed the guide in AN4861 to configure the LTDC but I am still having problems. With my current configuration, when I set the background for the LTDC to red, and the Layer 1 to transparent (alpha = 0), I can see that the display correctly displays a red background. When I set the Layer 1 to opaque (alpha = 255) with a red background, the display always shows a black background with a TV static like white rectangle on the top of the screen. It doesn't matter if I added TouchGFX as a Middleware or not, it always displays the same thing.Current configuration attached. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello,I have the following BLDC motor equipped with hall sensor, having an accuracy of 60 electrical degrees (15 mechanical degrees). Motor characteristics:Voltage: 18VDCRated speed 15,000 rpmRated torque  0.200 NmRated current 15.5 A Winding resistance (phase–phase) mΩ 50 Winding inductance (phase–phase) µH 42Number of poles poles 8The BLDC is connected to a gearbox of a ratio 40. I am using the STEVAL-PTOOL4A that was configured using MC Workbench V6.3.2. The motor control used is the FOC with the hall sensor as speed feedback. I have tuned the PI current and speed for high speed (max speed is 18000RPM) and under load the motor works good. However, I am struggling to have stable speeds at low values (starting 1000RPM to around 4000RPM). The motor runs with some oscillations with no load but when I put a load, it stalls and the speed falls to zero. I tried to tune the PI of the speed again, but I couldnt do better than removing the oscillations with no load.&n

I try  STSW-IMG037 software with  Nucleo STM32-F401RE + Expansion board with VL53L7CX+ two Brakout Boards(VL53L7CX).but it dosen't work. STSW-IMG037 software with  Nucleo STM32-F401RE + Expansion board with VL53L7CX is OK.Soft ver v2.2.29327. and 53L7A1_MultiSensorRanging.bin in X-CUBE-TOF1 is OK.What should I do?

Board & Setup: STM32H563RGT6 running FDCAN2 in Normal mode (HAL_FDCAN_Init, Mode=FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL) SN65HVD230 transceiver in silent mode (Rs pin connected to 3.3V) (120 Ω intergrated) wired with a single 120 Ω terminator at the far end No other pull-up/down or termination changes when the USB–CAN dongle is unplugged Filters configured (Reading the data from the BMS of a custom battery): FIFO0 → IDs 0x1E0 (BMS_STATE), 0x1E2 (PACK_MINMAX), 0x1E3 (PACK_AVG) FIFO1 → ID 0x1E1 (PACK_VALUES) Symptom: With the USB–CAN adapter or another node on the bus, everything works: the real BMS sends all four messages, our STM32 ACKs them, and they appear in Cangaroo. As soon as the USB–CAN dongle is unplugged (or if our transceiver is switched to any other mode -> Slope control or High speed (no slope control)), no messages are observed on the bus—even though the BMS should still be broadcasting at 1 Hz (it constantly spits out data at a 1 Hz rate) and our STM32 is in Normal

Hello, I have been trying to implement USB support on an STM32u5g9vjt6Q using USBX in standalone mode without success as of yet. I have been referencing this guide (How to implement USBX in standalone mode ) I am trying to use the onboard USB Phy in full speed mode, I think my issue comes down to clock configuration.  I am able to perform a USB DFU firmware update through the onboard ST bootloader so I am fairly certain I do not have a hardware issue, I also have a 16mhz external crystal. My firmware will end up in a Error_Handler after a timeout, the timeout is happening during this block of code inside of USB_CoreReset() do { count++; if (count > HAL_USB_TIMEOUT) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } } while ((USBx->GRSTCTL & USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST) == USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST);Debugging shows GRSTCTL = 0x80000001, CSRST = 0x1I will attach a picture of the call stack w/ the section of code and the contents of the register.  I will also attach the CubeIDE project. Thanks!

The code for USART6 is not generated by STM32CubeMX tool for STM32F207ZGT6 MCU. I am trying to generate the baremetal code. I have created a default IOC file for this MCU, and configured USART6 as Ascychronous mode. After this I wanted to configure the clock for the USART, but the clock configuration is not visible for USART6.I tried generating the code after this, this step was successful. However, I don't find any code related to USART eg., initialization, RX/TX functions.  I have tried configuring the USART6 for Synchronous mode, this also doesn't generated the USART code.I have aswell tried the other USART/UART interfaces for Asynchronous and other modes, the result is the same. Clock configuration not visible, and the related code is not generated. Can you please let me know if any additional configuration to be done in addition.

Hello Everyone,I'm using a Nucleo-G474RE board with TIM20 configured in input capture mode on channels 1–3 to measure PWM frequency from a function generator. Everything works fine when the signal is active, but when I turn off or disconnect the input, the code starts reporting a consistent 50 Hz frequency on the channel that gets disconnected—even though there is no signal. I'm using HAL, and the input pins (PB2, PC2, PC8) are configured without any pull-up/down resistors. I suspect it's retaining old capture values because when I was developing the code I was testing one timer channel with constant 50hz signal. Or Maybe it is caused by some electronic noise . How can I make sure the timer detects that the signal is lost and reports 0 Hz instead of a false frequency?

Hello,I have built a project in touchGFX and it loads and runs on my STM32H735G-DK discovery board using the TouchGFX software only.  However, I need to be able to expand this program to do more things so I want to use TouchGFX with Keil.  This is what I have been told to do to make this work:1) Generate the project using TouchGFX2)  Open .ioc file and change the tool chain to Keil MDK and Generate Code3) Go back to TouchGFX and generate code again4) Go back to CubeMX and generate code again5) Open project in Keil and Go to Project Options --> Debug --> Settings --> Flash Download and make sure the RAM for Algorithm has a large enough size.  I change these settings to Start: 0x24000000 Size 0x0000FFF4After making these changes and building the project and loading it to my Discovery Board it should allow me to just click "Run" once and the program should run...however in the command window I get the following message:Cannot access Memory (@ 0x70000000, Read,

"I modified the card emulation routine in codebase STEVAL-25R3916B_V2.1.0 by changing RFAL_ISODEP_CMD_RATS to 0x60. After receiving 0x60, the authentication handshake is initiated. The problem arises when using rfalStartTransceive(&ctx) with the following configuration:  ctx.flags = RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_TX_MANUAL | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_CRC_RX_KEEP | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_NFCIP1_OFF | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_AGC_ON | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_RX_KEEP | RFAL_TXRX_FLAGS_PAR_TX_NONE; Why is the RFAL layer automatically adding parity bits despite PAR_TX_NONE being set?"

Hello ST Community,I am currently working with the STM32MP157F-DK2 development kit and exploring RTOS options for the Cortex-M4 core. While FreeRTOS is officially supported through STM32CubeIDE, I would like to know if ThreadX (Azure RTOS)is officially supported and available for use on the Cortex-M4 core of the STM32MP157F-DK2.Specifically, I am looking for:Official support or examples of ThreadX running on the M4 core of this platformBSP or middleware integration through STM32CubeMX or STM32CubeIDEAny known limitations, configuration notes, or documentationI understand that ThreadX is well-integrated in STM32H7 and STM32U5 series, but it is unclear whether the same level of support is available for the STM32MP1 series, particularly the M4 core.If anyone has successfully used ThreadX on the STM32MP157F-DK2 (Cortex-M4), or if ST officially supports this configuration, I would appreciate your insights or pointers to relevant resources.Thank you in advance.

Hello,do you plan to release newer version of Eclipse ThreadX X-Cube packages? We are using x-cube-azrtos-f7 1.1.0 which contains ThreadX V6.1.10 which is outdated and insecure.Even remote code execution is possible: https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/netxduo/security/advisories/GHSA-m2rx-243p-9w64 and eclipse foundation only provides security support for ThreadX v6.4.x.SincerelyMo

If TrustZone is enabled on a device, I cannot use STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -d to program high-cycle count flash. If TrustZone is disabled, it works.Based on STM32_Programmer_CLI -w16 not working in high-cycl... - STMicroelectronics Community I have reason to believe that it does work with TrustZone on if you have working secure boot code that puts the device in a higher HDPL before programming is attempted. But I have not tested this myself. And if there needs to be some data in high-cycle count for the boot loader to start, you are stuck. In theory you could catch the double ECC-error and program the sectors with default values from the application, but that is a hassle.I'd love to get some feedback from ST on if I am doing something wrong here or this is a bug in either the programmer or the MCU. STLINK-V3SET FW V3.J16.M8.B5.S1STM32H563 Rev XBootloader Version 0xE4STM32CubeProgrammer 2.19.0Steps to reproduce (last command is failing)EDATA.bin is nothing special - j

I recently got the P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2 board. I'm trying to set up the end node NUCLEO L073RZ using STM32IDE. I want to flash the firmware to the end node, get response from it for AT commands in Tera Term and connect it to TTN. Please provide the step by step procedure to set up the end node.

I have created a tool called TouchGfxHelper, which automatically generates all the main, model, ModelListener, presenter, and view components with your specified functions. All you need to do is define them. The tool is free of charge and can be downloaded from the www.ib-uk.net/Downloadbereich(please note that my website is currently only available in German). The ZIP file includes the software and an example project that runs on an STM32F746 Discovery board.Any feedback is welcome—please feel free to send it to me

Hi All,I wrote my code in STM32IDE without using TrustZone. Now I need to enable it, however this does not appear to be available in STM32IDE once the project has been created. Am I correct, or is it possible to enable TrustZone for an existing project in STM32IDE afterwards?Best Regards,Cati

Hello,I am writing interface for ST25R3918 NFC chip for our BSPs using I2C protocol. The datasheet of the chip mentions non-standard I2C command for space-B access that there is no ACK from chip after sending of first byte "FBh".I can see that ST provided driver handles this by special flag "I2C_FIRST_AND_NEXT_FRAME", but how would I handle it for non-STM32 external MCUs as this would generally throw error of NACK? Does that mean that this NFC chip will not work with non-STM32 MCUs using I2C protocol? Thanks
