I am experiencing issues with the VBAT pin on the STM32H753ZI Nucleo board. Specifically, the VBAT pin is not responding properly. I am using a CR2032 CMOS battery for RTC backup, but it is not maintaining the date and time as expected. When the power supply is off, the RTC does not hold and run correctly, but it resumes running once the power supply is restored. battery positive connected to VBAT and negative to GND. i have removed SB52. I have attached the IOC and main file for your reference.

Hello,in all examples for the STM32H7S78-DK - including the TouchGFX applications - the frequency for the external APS256XXN-OBR-BG PSRAM is set to 200 MHz:extmem_list_config[1].PsramObject.psram_public.FreqMax = 200 * 1000000u; But in the datasheet for the APS256XXN-OBR-BG, seehttps://www.mouser.at/datasheet/2/1127/APM_PSRAM_OPI_Xccela_APS256XXN_OBRx_v1_0_PKG-1954780.pdfit says that the default maximum read and write clock is 133Mhz, see page 16 and 18:It also says:"Write latency, WLC, is default to 5 after power up. Use MR Write to set write latencies according to writelatency table. When operating frequency exceeding Fmax listed in the table will result in write data corruption." Could the be a potential bug in the memory configuration of the STM32H7S78-DK board, which could lead to RAM corruption? Thank you and best regardsrk_iot

I'm trying the new VS-Code extension 3.5.1, but I end up in the HardFault_Handler function during the initialization, in the "MX_USBX_Device_Init" function. The same project works correctly when using the "cortex-debug" plugin (separate VS Code profile to avoid conflicts).It's a very simple project where I did the very minimal config to enable USBX, and "UX Device HS -> Device Class HS -> HID -> MSC" on my STM32U5A5AJH6Q. The IOC file is attached.It crash in the function "USBD_FrameWork_MSCDesc", at line /* Append Endpoint descriptor to Configuration descriptor */ __USBD_FRAMEWORK_SET_EP((pdev->tclasslist[pdev->classId].Eps[1].add), (USBD_EP_TYPE_BULK), (uint16_t)(pdev->tclasslist[pdev->classId].Eps[1].size), (0U), (0U));

Hello everyone,in my current project, I'm working with a Nucleo H743ZI2 (with an STMH743ZIT6). My goal is to read audio data from MEMS microphones using DMA and DFSDM filters. The ultimate aim is to build an 8-microphone array, but for the first step, I only want to read data from a single microphone. And this is exactly where my problem lies: currently, no data is being saved in RAM. I suspect the problem is with DMA, as I've observed the following:DFSDM:The following bits are set in the DFSDM control register: DFEN (DFSDM_FLT enabled), RCONT (continuous mode), and RDMAEN (DMA channel enabled to read data for the regular conversion). The value of the RDATAR register changes continuously => data is being read by DFSDM.In the ISR register, REOCF (end of regular conversion) is set, followed by ROVRF (regular conversion overrun) => REOCF should be cleared by DMA (it might be cleared and set again, which goes unnoticed during debugging, but i don´t think so as the DMA is not sta

Hi!i have managed to port the exisiting example of USBX device printer to the H563 micro and use it.now i'm trying to do the same thing with the USBX HOST printer class.but there are two problems:1) there isn't an example2) if i create a new project and select USBX HOST printer i think there are some missing files in the cube generationfor the device printer class  the cube generate  app_usbx_device.c app_usbx_device.h ux_device_printer.c and ux_device_printer.h for the Host printer the cude generate only app_usbx_host.c and app_usbx_host.ham i missing something?my cube ide is 1.18.0 release thank you !

I am currently trying to use the NFC09A1 together with an STM32G0. I am having multiple issues.I am using ST25NFC_Embedded_Lib_ST25R200_1.8.0_2I setup the platform and SPI. SPI communication is working properly. I checked the signals and I can also properly read the chips ID in the rfalInit.Basically i am initializing with rfalNfcInitialize()and then doing something like this: rfalNfcDiscoverParam discParam; rfalNfcDefaultDiscParams(&discParam); discParam.devLimit = 1; discParam.techs2Find = RFAL_NFC_POLL_TECH_A; if (rfalNfcDiscover(&discParam) != RFAL_ERR_NONE) { return Result::Error; } static rfalNfcDevice* nfcDevice; while (true) { rfalNfcWorker(); HAL_Delay(500); }On the SPI bus I can see traffic happening And also the Antenna seems to radiate a signal. However, after maybe 5-10 Cycles of the while loop the programm suddenly freezes. I seems that it gets stuck in this loop:static ReturnCode rfalTransceiveRunBlockingTx( void ) { ReturnCode ret; d

I am using custom board and MCSDK 6.4.0, I need some clarity on the Application current and the overcurrent protection variablesThe above setting is related to the Max application current. And the over current protection settings in MCSDK is as belowHere it is mentioned as 45A. Now my question is do i need to change this value and how this is related with the 1.6A max application current? I am using FOC to run the motor.

Can someone please guide me with 8KHz audio, echo cancellation is almost perfect for 16khz audio on stm32u5, but seems problematic at 8KHz, i've tested pass-through (loopback, mic connect to speaker) at 8Khz and it is clear when AEC is disabled, also when pre-processor is disabled and AEC is enabled, it can remove the echo but I need pre-processor for agc, ns related stuff.#ifdef SPX_EC_FS_8000 #define ECHO_BUFF 128U #define NN_MAX 128 #define NN 128 #define FS (uint16_t)8000 #elif defined (SPX_EC_FS_16000) #define ECHO_BUFF 128U #define NN_MAX 128 #define NN 128 #define FS (uint16_t)16000 #elif defined (SPX_EC_FS_32000) #define ECHO_BUFF (32*8) #define NN_MAX (32*8) #define NN (32*8) #define FS (uint16_t)32000 #elif defined (SPX_EC_FS_48000)I've tried to change ECHO_BUFF to 64 as well, but no success so far, maybe this library isn't tested for 8KHz audio, but speexdsp support 8KHz, reason I'm trying to achieve aec at 8KHz is because VOCODER for audio compression supports o

I'm new to the STEVAL-DRONE2 kit and would like to ask: Given that the STEVAL-FCU001V2 flight control unit includes basic sensors like the IMU and barometer, can it support the integration of additional external sensors, such as GPS modules, magnetometers, optical flow, LiDAR, or ultrasonic sensors, through STM32? And are there any specific hardware or firmware considerations I should be aware of when adding these to the system?

i whant to know if the B-CAMS-OMV is compatible with the 32F746GDISCOVERY, NUCLEO-N657X0-Q, and the STM32N6570-DK?because i why didn't I find the specific connector data of the 3 kits regarding the camera,And I want to know this one camera B-CAMS-OMV is good for me for the 3 different kits?

Hi ST team!I need to create a gateway that will connect a web server to a variaty of nodes. The gateway will connect a few universes of DMX/RDM and DALI protocols. I also plan to add a LoraWAN and OTA feature. We are not planning on using a GUI. As far as I know, an MCU would be pretty tight to run all of this, so we are thinking about using an MPU. Can someone help me ask the right questions to choose the correct MPU?  I have worked with STM32MP15 in the past, but this was for a GUI related product, so I don't have full experience to choose a non-GUI MPU.  Thanks a lot in advance

I ordered https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-n657x0-q.html and it mentions Camera module FPC. But I cannot find any information on which protocol it uses for this camera connection. For example, can I use https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-56g3mai.html#overview with the MIPI-CSI2 protocol? Where could I find more information about the supported camera's for the STM32N6 evaluation board?

Hi, I am working on a project where I have a custom board with STM32L073 MCU and I want to read a color sensor (AS7341) via I2C. This will be a low power application. I will harvest energy via NFC from a smartphone (I am using NTAG I2C plus). I can get a voltage is about 2.8 V and current about 10-14 mA from the harvested energy. This will power up the color sensor and the MCU. I have been trying to operate the MCU at low power but I am unable to do it. I have tried regulating down voltage from a 3.7V 1000 mAh lipo battery to 1.8V and trying to run the MCU to get the color sensor data but I cannot do it. I tried using a logic analyzer to observe the I2C signals. For greater than 3.3V, it works fine, I am able to see the data in uart as well as in the logic analyzer but when it goes below 3.3V it doesn't work. I also tried regulating down to 2.8V from a battery, still doesn't work. I think I am missing something on how to operate the STM32 MCU in low power mode. Please let me know what

Hello,I am currently trying to develop for the STM32H573RIT6 microcontroller, however after generating a new project I run into an issue where I am unable to compile any code due to main.h attempting to include "stm32h5xx_hal.h", but it fails to compile as it fails to locate that file. The only file that I was able to locate was "stm32h5xx_hal_conf.h", but replacing that in the "main.h" file still fails to compile as it cannot find "stm32h5xx_hal_spi.h" and "stm32h5xx_hal_gpio.h". system_stm32h5xx.c also attempts to include the "stm325xx_hal.h" file as well and as a result errors.

Hey all, first and foremost I'm new to the embedded systems space, I've been trying to get my feet wet with a hello world project but for some reason with Cube 1.17.0 I'm missing the "MyST" login tab at the top of the screen. I've tried Re-installing thinking I had done something wrong during the original process to no avail. For further context I have a Linux system with the IDE installed and code generation worked properly on it however I found endless issues with the debugger and decided it might be an issue with Linux so I gave up and installed it into my windows machine to see if that helped with anything and now this is my new issue. To get around this issue as the ide suggested I navigated to "Help->stm32Cube Updates->Connection to my ST" and logged in through there and tried to create a new project and still it gave me the error as if I wasn't signed in, tried the same method again and it told me my session had expired, I haven't tried code generation just yet because as

Hello everyone,Does anyone happen to know the exact equivalent for the part number "G23"? I've been researching it, but I'm not entirely sure whether this code matches the Schottky rectifier STPS2L25. Maybe someone has used it before or is familiar with it more precisely. Thanks a lot—appreciate it!Best regards.

Hello,I am using a STM32L476RCT which should work up to 85°C.I am receiving unsolicited interrupts when I put my board in an environment at 60°C.I only use usart1 and a few GPIO interrupts, which are working fine. But when the temperature rises, the system gets stuck.Using the debugger, I was able to see that interrupts are occurring and sending the system to default handler. Those interrupts are WWDG_IRQHandler, and UART/USARTX_IRQHandler. Looking at the registers, those interrupts should be disabled. We do not use WWDG.A quick fix is to define a custom handler for the interruptions that I don't want, but it does not explain why those interruptions are occurring.Does anyone has any idea what could go wrong ?Thanks

I need to calculate and estimate the required thermal resistance and temperature in operation for thermal design. When I read in Section 3.1 of datasheet, I do not see the Rja I can use directly, instead, it presents a chipset configuration with various Rja parameters. What does the chipset configuration stands for, is this configuration for 3 VNH5019A-E chips or 3 partitions in one VNH5019A-E? and how to understand Table 17 (thermal calculation in clockwise and anti-clockwise operation)? Thanks!

Hey all,I wanted to check if there’s a way to program multiple PCBAs in parallel using multiple ST-Links. I have 6 PCBAs and 6 ST-Links, but since we currently have only one DLL, we can target only one ST-Link at a time, this makes the overall programming process quite time-consuming.If anyone has a solution or any suggestions, please let me know. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and regards,Lakshya

hi everyone, i got a problem when i use MX generate code and open folder，i try to reinstall and didn't solve。it shows not responsible

Hey all,I've spent a fair amount of time trying to make a DTMF tone generator using an STM32F411VE board I got as a gift. The board comes with a CS43L22 DAC chip that can be accessed by the STM32F411 through I2C and I2S. My rationale is as follows:1) Using the reference manual and CS43L22 datasheet, write a simple I2C driver to initialize the DAC, send commands, etc.2) Using the reference manual and CS43L22 datasheet, next write a simple I2S driver to send audio data via DMA to the DAC.3) Use the FPU to calculate samples of the desired DTMF tone and use a circular buffer/DMA to write those samples to the DAC with a frequency of 48 kHz.Seemed simple enough to me, and if I thought that if I followed the two aforementioned documents closely, I should be able to knock it out in a couple of days (I'm still a bit of a beginner with bare-metal programming). That was not the case :) the biggest hurdle I've hit so far involves the CS43L22 DAC. It does not seem to be seeing the same MCLK/SCK/LRCK

Hi, I plan on designing a NFC reader based on the ST25R3916B, with an "extended" range. So, the antenna will be a 150 mm x 150 mm PCB antenna, 2 turns, 1 mm traces and 1 mm gap.According to ST's NFC Inductance tool, this should yield an inductance of ~ 2.4 µH. I have modeled it with a better approximation of its real shape, using FastHenry3, and get ~ 2.1 µH @ 13.56 MHz. Not too far away. I suppose FastHenry does a more accurate analysis, but does not model dielectric, so maybe that's what explains the discrepancy? My question is more about the antenna's shape. I will be driving it in differential mode, and am not 100% sure if the coil I have designed (see below) will work well as a differential antenna. Can you let me know or give me pointers if it needs some adjustments as to how the turns should be layed out? Thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm currently working on an NFC reader design using the ST25R3916B in single-ended configuration to read and write ST25TV02KC tags (ISO15693, NFC-V).Instead of a PCB antenna, I'm using a round, wire-wound air coil antenna and now need to properly design the antenna and match it to the reader IC.My questions are:How do I correctly design a wire-wound (air coil) antenna for 13.56 MHz in this setup? Should the antenna's resonance frequency be at ~13,56MHz or including the antenna network circuit (--> f_0 of antenna >13.56MHz)?Which parameters (e.g. inductance, Q, ...) are most important to measure or calculate for use in the ST matching tools? The STM32 NFC Inductance Tool seems to be designed for PCB trace antennas – can it be used for air coils as well, or should I rely on external tools? The resonance frequency of the antenna must be ~13.56MHz?How do I calculate or match the antenna network correctly for single-ended use with the ST25R3916B, once I have the coil parame

Basically, my requirement is to run RTC to monitor actual date and time for various schedules to actuate the devices. Note that RTC configuration is provided via LoRaWAN downlink and timestamp after LoRaWAN join.Hence, I would need mix mode to run both BCD calendar for clock and binary mode for LoRaWAN stack timer server. However, I could not get alarm working with free running BCD calendar and binary mode (mix mode) in STM32WL55. But I could see working if I configure only free running BCD calendar or binary mode separately. Attached the configuration for the reference to advise. Is there any example program on mix mode alarm operation?
