Hello All,I'm trying to keep my MSC + CDC USBX connection alive on my STM32U575.  When I connect the device via USB cable, Windows Explorer opens and displays the files on the W25Q NOR Flash.  I can select a file and open it from the flash.  I can also open Tera Term and connect to the device.  I created a ThreadX task to write out text over CDC every 5 seconds.  After a random amount of time, Tera Term stops writing out the text and lock up and even though the device is displayed in Windows Explorer, if I try to open a file, it fails, with a timeout error.I've explored the U5 samples, but I can't find any differences between the MSC or CDC projects and my project.  None of the samples, that I've found, are doing anything in the callbacks or change methods that would indicate the handling of some kind of "timeout" issue from the USB host.Any guidance to why the device just stops communicating with the windows machine would be greatly appreciated.  If

Greetings, So, I am developing a bootloader, that receives a firmware, using a similar protocol to xmodem (128 bytes), through the USB. I followed this tutorial to implement the USB and adapted it to make it work on a B-U585I-IOT02A board. The USB communication works. So I am making something like this (some minor details have been omitted, but the big picture is here): #define APP_START ((uint32_t)0x0800C000 #define OFFSET 128 uint32_t addr = 0; uint8_t buff[OFFSET] __atribute__((aligned(4))); // 32-bit aligned int main(void) { Flash_Erase(bank, page); for(;;) { if(!lastPacket) { GetPacket(&buff); Flash_Firmware(APP_START+addr, buff); addr += OFFSET; } else { Flash_Firmware(APP_START+addr, buff) break; } jumpToApp(); } static HAL_StatusTypeDef Flash_Erase(uint32_t _bank, uint32_t _page) { HAL_StatusTypeDef status = HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); if(status != HAL_OK) { return status; } FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef erase = {0}; uint32_t PageError = 0;

To secure USB against unauthorized usage while maintaining regular operation, implement authentication and encryption for all USB communication, ensuring only authorized devices or users can access the interface for parameter and log management, open-source information, and updates.1. how to enable and disable the stm32 for booting using a debug probe / stm32 flasher from unauthorized access2. How to enable and disable the USB access from Unauthorized access3. Even after locking also authorized user can read and write in the stm32we can do it manually by setting the RDB for read access and WRP for write access but we want it to do it at runtime in software.

Dear all,I am using the cube programmer in order to set WRPA_PEND, WRPA_PSTRT and uncheck the unlock to actually lock the area defined by the WRPA field. It works fine and I can actually see that the memory region is protected.I am unable to restore the situation and change back the unlock bit to 1 for this same region.The cube programmer returns the following errors:Error: Expected value for Option Byte "unlock_a": 0x1, found: 0x0Error: Expected value for Option Byte "wrpa_pend": 0x0, found: 0x7FError: Option Byte Programming failed Or modified by application after OB_LAUNCH The RDP level is set to 0xAA (not set at all nor changed). Can anyone help me out with this issue?

I am running an application with Azure RTOS, and CAN bus.  All was well until I needed to increase the tick time to 2000/second (from 1000/second).  When I did this the CAN Interrupts stop working. To make things even worse, when I change the tick time back to 1000/sec within CubeIDE, it still doesn't work and I have to pull and older version off Github to get it going again.  I'm not overly familiar with Azure RTOS, usually I just do my own OS.  CAN interrupts are priority 0, RTOS 15.  TIM6 is used for tick for RTOS. CAN Initilization: /* Configure Rx filter */ sFilterConfig.IdType = FDCAN_STANDARD_ID; sFilterConfig.FilterIndex = 0; // sFilterConfig.FilterType = FDCAN_FILTER_DUAL; sFilterConfig.FilterType = FDCAN_FILTER_MASK;//Classic filter sFilterConfig.FilterConfig = FDCAN_FILTER_TO_RXFIFO0; sFilterConfig.FilterID1 = 0x7F1; sFilterConfig.FilterID2 = 0x7F1; if (HAL_FDCAN_ConfigFilter(&hfdcan1, &sFilterConfig) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handle

Hi, i would need information about setLineSpacing (int16 space) method in textarea widget.Documentation says that it's used for increasing space between lines, but the parameter "space" defines the space in pixel or other unit measurement ?Thanks a lot anyone can help me

Hello,I am using the STM32F429I-Discovery board with an MT9M001 camera module, and I am developing with STM32CubeIDE.I would like to display the live camera image on the built-in LCD of the F429 board.I have already connected the camera and can read image data through DCMI, but I am not sure how to configure LTDC (and possibly DMA2D) to display the image in real time on the LCD.Could you please provide guidance or an example on how to:1. Configure LTDC for displaying a frame buffer2. Transfer camera image data from DCMI to the LTDC frame buffer using DMA3. Match the resolution and pixel format between camera and LCD4. Set up these peripherals correctly in STM32CubeIDEThank you for your support.

Hello team,   We are using STM32WL55 MCU. I haven't found any information about resistance value of its internal pull-down resistance. As far as I know it is typically 40k. But could you tell what is the tolerance of this value?   Best regards, Vladislav

Hello,I'm using STM32G474QET6 with HSI (16Mhz).When not using DMA - the UART is working.With DMA I'm having 2 issues:When sending 3 bytes, only 2 bytes sends.DMA is not receiving anything (UART Rx) - CNDTR remains 3 and not data is written to the buffer (data.bytes[1]).The 2nd issue is the main issue. That is my UART init func: LL_USART_InitTypeDef usart_init_struct; USART1->CR1 &= ~USART_CR1_UE; // Disable USART 1. // USART 1 clock enable. LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB2_GRP1_PERIPH_USART1); usart_init_struct.BaudRate = 19200; usart_init_struct.DataWidth = LL_USART_DATAWIDTH_8B; usart_init_struct.HardwareFlowControl = LL_USART_HWCONTROL_NONE; usart_init_struct.OverSampling = LL_USART_OVERSAMPLING_16; usart_init_struct.Parity = LL_USART_PARITY_EVEN; usart_init_struct.PrescalerValue = LL_USART_PRESCALER_DIV1; usart_init_struct.StopBits = LL_USART_STOPBITS_1; usart_init_struct.TransferDirection = LL_USART_DIRECTION_TX_RX; LL_US

Hi, I'm trying to get a PWM output that changes duty cycle on each period with DMA in circular mode. I have seen other similar posts (ultimately I'd like to control a WS28 LED with 800kHz), but they are for other MCUs and everything is different in the details. I tried this for quite a while in a bigger project, so reducing it here to the bare minimum.To start with, I'm using a slower timer and just try to get the DMA to change the CCR1 at all on a dev kit (NULCEO-H563ZI)Starting of with this example: The unmodified example works and outputs a PWM on PE9 (50% DC). No I configure DMA as well:  In the main.c, I add the DMA: In my understanding, the CC event of timer1 ch1 should now trigger the DMA transfer of the samples from buf, one by one, so DC should be 10000, 50000, 10000, 50000, and so on (circular DMA).The output on the scope is unchanged, the DMA never seems to transfer anything.I also tried to use other trigger source for DMA (GPDMA1_REQUEST_TIM1_T

I'm planning to connect 40 LED with a current of 20mA (total 800mA) to 40-gpio pins of STM32G4 device. The pins will be configured as Open-drain so the 20mA LED current of each pin will flow through an external resistor and the internal low-side NMOS transistor of the IC.In this case I believe there will be no restriction about the STM32G4 power dissipation and current capabilities. This is true or am I wrong? Please could anyone clarify this?Thanks in advance,Gaston

Hello all, I disabled the M4 core based on the tutorial by ST Employee mEALLEm, I pressed Apply, saw the option byte successfully programmed notification, but I have been waiting for MCU disconnect notification for 20 minutes now. The LD4 keeps blinking greed and red. Is there something I am missing because it should not be this long ? Thank you

Hello. I'm using STM32CubeMX with STM32f777ZI MCU to create a CMAKE project.The generated linker script file (STM32F777XX_FLASH.ld) has a really simple definition of RAM memory regions:/* Specify the memory areas */MEMORY{RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 512KFLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 2048K}There is no separation of SRAM1, SRAM2, DTCM and etc. For example - I want to enable cache in SRAM1 and I need to have a proper section definitons. I want to use in my code something like:__attribute__((aligned(sizeof(uint32_t)), section ... and etc.Is it possible to force STM32CubeMX to generate more detailed RAM segmentation for F7 cores?

Hi,        vl53l0x in continue mode ,how to read data_status and in time mode how to set time and read data and data_status?               thanks

Greetings,Looking at PM0271, there seems to be an API call aci_gap_start_gen_disc_proc.  However, I don't see this in the Cube firmware package anywhere in the headers and I haven't found it in sample code as yet.   We would like to configure the STM32WB55 for dual role BLE, Central and Peripheral.  The Peripheral works.  When we enable the Central role and then send the scan_enable command, the wireless stack doesn't accept the request.  So, we figure it might be helpful to see an example. What examples are available that demonstrate BLE scanning on the STM32WB55?  I checked the AT_Client/Server. BTW, It's pretty difficult to search through samples as the IDE tends to bog down then crash.Cheers

Hello,I am trying to run Projects\System\SIUL2\siul2LedBlink from StellarSDK_4.0.0 on a SR6G7EVBC4000P_RevA board. The project was successfully build. To flash the board in RAM, I am using the last version of Lauterbach. When running, it seems that it can't break on main.For testing purposes, I was running the sieve_ram_aarch32_arm_v8r_le.elf using the same Lauterbach script and the execution and breaking on main was done as expected. On a deeper investigation, I have found out that the .elf file form Lauterbach differs from the one build. Those differences can be seen below. Also, I have tried running an example from Lauterbach using the NVM, but I get the following error:  Do you have any suggestions to run Projects\System\SIUL2\siul2LedBlink on the board? Also, to flash an application on NVM and fix the flash programming error. Thanks in advance :grinning_face:

Hello,I have a problem regarding the slow initialization of eth1 on SR6G7 evbc6000 rev B board.The function xNetworkInterfaceInitialise() is failing multiple times, until it is succesfull.  From further investigation, I discovered that phy_check_id() is the cause of the failing. phy_check_id() is used inside dp83tg720_phydev_init(), which can be found here: ModExt/Drivers/Ethernet/DP83TG720/src/dp83tg720.c .Is there something that must be done before initializing the interface? Could it be a problem regarding the Ethernet cable?This behaviour can be seen using StellarSDK 4.0.0, using the ethPing project (Projects/Comms/Ethernet/ethPing). In order to use the eth1, in main() function I also registered the eth1 interface, like this: xNetworkRegisterIf(ETH0_INSTANCE, NO_HW_LOOPBACK);xNetworkRegisterIf(ETH1_INSTANCE, NO_HW_LOOPBACK); Thanks in advance! :)

Hello everybody.This is my first post in this forum and I am quite new to the stm32 MCUs. So sorry in advance if I dont know or misunderstand some things. Right now I am working on a setup to read values from a sensor (dps310) and print them in a console on a linux pc. I am using two Nucleo boards for this because the goal is to have a radio communication between the two boards and to remotely read the values from the sensor. Right now the boards are directly connected to each other with uart because I am doing this step by step. So the setup looks like this:Sensor --(SPI)--> Nucleo-F429ZI --(UART)--> Nucleo-F439ZI --(UART/USB)--> PCThe Nucleo-F429ZI is working fine and does exactly what it should which is to read the sensor and transmit the data about once every second to the other board.The Nucleo-F439ZI however is giving me some headaches. The idea is pretty simple. Receive the data with HAL_UART_Receive_IT() and use printf() to transmit the data to the pc in a re

Hello, We have two discovery boards with SPC5 automotive MCU - SPC560B-DIS and SPC582B-DIS.We want to use them as basis for testing our hardware, and intend first run the tests with the discovery boards.Where can I find files required for testing regarding these boards - I am looking for SVF, STAPL and BSDL files, can I download them from the website (I failed to find them) or can you send me those files? Thank you in advance,Adam

There are several R52+ cores available in Stellar SR6 P7 line, e.g. SR6P7C8.I have question about the Symmetric Multi-Processing (SMP) support on these R52+ cores. Is SMP available inside R52+ cluster or among R52+ clusters?

STM32H5 USB Custom HID CubeMX issue.When setting parameter "UX_DEVICE_CLASS_HID_EVENT_BUFFER_LENGTH" to 64 in CubeMX, the corresponding define in the "ux_user.h" file is commented out.Setting this parameter to any other valid value (between 0 and 255, excluding 64) in CubeMX generates an uncommented define.I presume CubeMX is doing this because it assumes the default value from USBX is 64 bytes.In fact a default value is provided by usbx in "ux_device_class_hid.h", but this value is actually 32 bytes.Thus, using out of the box CubeMX generated code when "UX_DEVICE_CLASS_HID_EVENT_BUFFER_LENGTH" set to 64 results in very nasty memory overwrites in the USBX device structures that subsequently result in hard fault.Please update CubeMX to not comment out this define when set to 64.Thank you.

I have flashed the application onto the HSM core of SR6G7, and I can see that the HSM core is not running up without a trigger from the Host core. After some analysis, I found that the HSM core requires a power mode change from DRUN mode to RUN mode via the ME_MCTL register. Therefore, I would like to know how we can enable the HSM core to run first by changing the ME_MCTL register value to RUN mode directly, without running the Host core of SR6G7. I want to ensure HSM core running first before host core running. Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to know that, what are the minimum DCF configuration required to activate the HSM core in Stellar SR6G7? Is there any Lauterbach cmm script available to flash the UTEST DCF configuration?

To enable the HSM notification to application core, I understood that we need to enable HSM2HOST IE register. I would like to know which bit position of 32 bit, we need to enable to make interrupt activate ? There is no such informations in the safety document.
