I used the STM32CUBE FOR VSCODE preview version and enabled FreeRTOS in STM32CUBEMX. However, during the debugging process, the STM32CUBE RTOS STATE is empty and does not display any content, even when the program is paused.

Hello,I'm currently using eval boards B-G473E-ZEST1S + STEVAL-LVLP01 to evaluate a new MCU for brushless motor control. I'm using MotorControl 6.4.1 to generate the firmware project and MotorPilot 6.4.1 to profile and pilot our motor.I've used the interface in MotorControl to create/configure the motor I want to use with my tests. Everything works fine until I push the start button in MotorPilot : I immediately get a FAULT_OVER / Over Current. My brushless motor parameters are the following :Vnominal = +24VMax Speed = 17 000 rpmPole pairs = 2Max nominal current = 9.21 ARs = 0.1 OhmSpeed constant = 710 rpm/VI'm pretty sure there is something I'm not doing right when configuring the motor or when starting the motor control process. Do you have any ideas about what I'm missing ?

Please refer to this thread that, for some reason, @FBL accepted as an answer (it is not) https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/usbx-audio-class-frame-done-callback-not-called/td-p/855262I'm seeing that when I try to start an audio flux from my PC to the USB Audio driver, I'm seeing the error handler being called with the following stack:status = _ux_device_stack_transfer_request(transfer, max_packet_size, max_packet_size); triggers the error as the status is 38 (what does it mean?). Inside the function, I've foundstatus = dcd -> ux_slave_dcd_function(dcd, UX_DCD_TRANSFER_REQUEST, transfer_request);which is the one that returns 38.In ux_api.h, the only value I was able to find that matches the return value was#define UX_TRANSFER_BUS_RESET 0x26 From here, I'm stuck as the ux_slave_dcd_function is defined as typedef struct UX_SLAVE_DCD_STRUCT { UINT ux_slave_dcd_status; UINT ux_slave_dcd_controller_type; UINT ux_slave_dcd_otg_capabi

It turns out the GDB shipped with TouchGFX 4.25.00 has an issue where it can't set the breakpoint in VSCode when the software is running.The only workaround is to set the breakpoints before launching the debug.The issue is reported it https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-cpptools/issues/13191#issuecomment-2787932838To fix the issue you can use the GDB shipped with the latest version of MYSYS2 https://packages.msys2.org/packages/mingw-w64-x86_64-gdbYou just run on the terminal pacman -S mingw-w64-x86_64-gdb In the launch.json you set "miDebuggerPath": "C:/msys64/mingw64/bin/gdb.exe", (or the location where it has been installed) and in the task.json in "env": {"PATH": "C:/msys64/mingw64/bin;"}

I am working with Zephyr RTOS on the Nucleo-H7S3L8 board and have successfully flashed and run the blinky example on internal flash. However, I noticed that Zephyr does not provide official documentation for flashing applications into external flash. My question: Does Zephyr offer any official method or west command to flash applications directly into external flash, similar to how west flash works for internal flash?

So i was failing to properly flash my STM32N6 because in version STM32_SigningTool_CLI 2.21.  I think it's because it doesn't align the payload.  So when i flashed the board made with 2.21 it didn't recognize it and didn't load. In version 2.20 this doesn't happen.  I don't know if this is a bug or a failed configuration.  But i used the same command for both of them and it worked in version 2.20.

Good day Folks, Firstly, is it possible to put NN weights on the external Flash, but not use it in memory mapped mode? BSP_XSPI_NOR_Init_t NOR_Init; NOR_Init.InterfaceMode = BSP_XSPI_NOR_OPI_MODE; NOR_Init.TransferRate = BSP_XSPI_NOR_DTR_TRANSFER; BSP_XSPI_NOR_Init(0, &NOR_Init); BSP_XSPI_NOR_EnableMemoryMappedMode(0); Secondly is it possible to run an AI model with NO flash access at all, i.e. to only use internal RAM for the case of a small model? I have an application that is already using the flash for storing data such as Logs & settings, via a XSPI Read/Write interface. However that interface is broken when configuring the flash to use the memory map.    The image classification STM32N6570-DK example code runs fine and can use the external flash, however it then appears I can't use the Flash for anything else but the NN tables & weights. I then tried updating the .mpool to exclude using the Flash, but the model is then not working or giving the same inf

Hello,I am trying to erase flash bank 2 and then re-write with an incoming application. This appears to work that when I read back some of this sector it's changed to 0xFFFFFFFF, however when I restart or connect with STLINK it reads out as 0x00000000.I only get errors if I try to write too fast after erasing flash and on POR the flash is read back as 0x00000000I have tried unlocking flash and relocking after withHAL_FLASHEx_Unlock_Bank2(); // erase HAL_FLASHEx_Lock_Bank2(); // and or HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); // erase here HAL_FLASH_Lock();voltage range is correct. FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef erase_init; erase_init.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_SECTORS; erase_init.Sector = 0; erase_init.NbSectors = 1; erase_init.Banks = FLASH_BANK_2; erase_init.VoltageRange = FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_3; HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&erase_init, &sector_error); any suggestions or help would be appreciated

Hello, I am trying to configure my STM32H723ZG to be able to read the value of a few current sensors. My main concern at the moment is the speed at which I need to read these. I'm hoping to be reading upwards of rate of 20kHz. My questions are about which method might be best, the standard way of reading the ADCs seems insufficient, I've seen online some methods are DMA and injected conversions. If anyone could provide some insight into what might be best and how to go about implementing them that would be great.Additionally, I wanted to ask how to determine an appropriate sampling time of the ADC. Thank you in advance for your help!

Device : STWIN.Box (steval stwbxcs1a) with DATALOG2 3.1.0 firmware. WIFI : Updated the MXCHIP firmware   Objective: Running WiFi connection with APP and/or PnPL messages, Data retrieving with FTP.   Currently this is my application  as viewed in ST BLE Sensor app (iOS)   I have first tried with the iOS app, it doesn't let me to use the Wifi connect button or disconnect. Then,  I tried using PnPL messages with PythonSDK ( Board is connected by USB): message = PnPLCMDManager.create_set_property_cmd("wifi_config", "ssid", "Nothing")print(message)print(hsd_link.send_command(hsd_link_instance, device_id, message))message = PnPLCMDManager.create_command_cmd("wifi_config", "wifi_connect" , "password", "11223344")print(message)print(hsd_link.send_command(hsd_link_instance, device_id, message))message = PnPLCMDManager.create_set_property_cmd("wifi_config", "ip", "0.0.0.0")print(message)print(hsd_link.send_command(hsd_link_instance, device_id, message))time.slee

I have noticed that in my Application project there is no SystemClock_Config() generated by CubeIDE so my guess is that these settings should be inherited from Boot stage. If that is the case, should I also not initialize XSPI interfaces, memories and memory mapped modes if they are also initialized in Boot stage?

Hello everyone,I’m working on an electronic design using the STM32WB55RGV6, and the final product cost is very constrained.I have a question regarding the SMPS components, specifically the capacitor C29 and the inductor L1 shown in the reference designs. Are these components strictly required for proper operation, or is it possible to omit them when trying to reduce the BOM cost?If they can be omitted, what is the recommended way to handle the corresponding SMPS pins on the MCU? Should they be left NC, tied to a specific level, or handled in another way?Any guidance or official recommendation would be greatly appreciated.Thank you very much!

Hi,We're encountering an issue with the L6982CDR buck converter in our application. Here's the detailed scenario: Configuation: We're using it to convert a 24V input to a 5V output to power the board. Load: The 5V output supplies a load current of approximately 200mA. System Context: The same 24V input is also used to drive a stepper motor. Problem:Following mass production, some units have experienced a loss of the 5V output. The occurrence rate of this failure is low. Key Observations: This fault occurs during operation, not at power-up. The fault clears if the 24V power is restarted. When the failure happens, we measured a normal 24V input voltage and a normal voltage at the VCC pin of the IC. However, the SW pin output remains low. Notably, we have used this chip reliably for a long time, and this is a recent issue. Here is the schematic of our product： Here is the PCB of our product: Please let me know if anything is unclear or if you need any tests pe

Hello,Will support be added to MEMS Studio for the B-U585I-IOT02A demo board? Thanks.Bruce

Hi ST Team,I am currently using STM32H563ZIT6 and STM32H755ZIT6 in my project. We are now preparing to move from prototype to mass production, with an estimated requirement of ~10,000,000 units per year.As we transition into production, I am facing some issues and have a few important questions:1. Industrial-grade reliability & supportAre STM32 devices supported at an industrial-grade level similar to NXP or TI?Since we are planning large-volume production, I would like to understand:What type of technical support can ST provide during production ramp-up?Is it possible to get a dedicated technical contact or mentor for guidance?2. LocationI am based in Coimbatore, India. Please let me know the support timeline and whether any local ST representatives or FAEs can assist.3. Current issuesFor reference, here are my recent queries on the ST Community, which are still unresolved:STM32H755 end-of-frame detection failing with EventFlags:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-softw

How to start with FileX using CubeMX?In CubeMX I enabled ThreadX and FileX with the default configuration, increased ThreadX "memory pool size" to 2k and  enabled "Generate Init Code" for both.In app_azure_rtos.c, tx_application_define() function MX_FileX_Init() fails - tx_byte_allocate() returns error code 16. According to docs that means TX_NO_MEMORY "Service was unable to allocate a block of memory within the specified time to wait.".I get this error even when I substantially increase ThreadX "memory pool size" to 64k.Without FileX enabled ThreadX works - I created a timer which nicely blinks the onboard LED.I know FileX does not really require ThreadX, but I need it for other purposes. This is probably something simple, but I admit I am new to ThreadX.Tested with the latest CubeMX, STM32U5A9 MCU as well as NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q boards. Please advise.

Hello ST Community team, On the UM1472 Rev 8, the table 9 board revision history, it is mentioned that the MB997 initial rev is the B01 and the last rev is the F01. But on the https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32f4discovery.html#cad-resources, I’m not able to find the B01 and F01 schematic packs. For the bill of material, F01 is missing but B01 is available. Could you please check this . Nharkom zine. II

When trying to setup MBedTLS through CubeMX for the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q, CubeMX does not give the option to select LWIP as the TCP/IP stack in the MBEDTLS "Version and modes" configuration tab. The only options given are "None" and "User defined". Additionally, for the "RNG dependency", the only options are "SW RNG(no entropy)" and "Custom RNG(Custom entropy)". It does not detect that I have enabled hardware level RNG. If I try setting up a project for NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q, I have the same issue. I tried setting up the project so the Ethernet stack was on the M7 only, the M4 only, and both the M7 and M4 and none of these variations made a difference. However, if I try setting up a project for any single core F4 or H7 variant, like the NUCLEO-H753ZI, I am able to select LWIP and HW RNG(ST entropy). In fact, when I enable MbedTLS, they are auto selected. Please see the attached screenshots.   This is the order always followed: Enable Ethernet RMII Enable RNG Enable FreeRTOS Enable LWIP Enabl

Hii Team, I want know does PB5 and PB6 Support CAN interface on the STM32G4A1KEU6 AND STM32G491

I've done a fresh install of STM32CubeIDE on my Win11 computer. (Version: 2.0.0 Build: 26820_20251114_1348 UTC). I installed CubeMX through Help > Install New Software and then tried to open an existing projects .ioc file. This did not work, I got the following error (log also attached)The ioc file itself is fine. I can open it on other computers without a problem.I tried installing CubeMX as a seperate program, which works fine. I assume its the CubeIDE plugin that has a problem

I am trying to spin a new motor with motor pilot using EVSPIN32G4. I am not able to run it. Hitting startup failure. Is there any quick and easy tuning guide available to tune a new motor and run smoothly?

I have just purchased the STM32N6570-DK kit and have been able to successfully load and run the demo binaries. However when I have tried to generate a simple application like the LED Blink project I have been able to successfully get it running in the Cube IDE debug mode but once I load the .bin file into the external flash it will not run.I have followed the online tutorials by  B.Montanari as well as read all the available documentation but nothing seems to be working.I have signed the fsbl.bin file to create a fsbl-trusted.bin file and programmed the external flash at 0x7000 0000 exactly as outlined in the tutorials but no luck. The code definitely runs on the kit in the Cube IDE debug mode so I am obviously missing some vital key setup when it comes to loading it from flash but I am unable to figure out what it is.I understand how the BOOT process works but trying to implement the process is a different matter. This is a basic operating requirement for using the STM32N6 so why

Hello,I’m working with an STM32N6570-DK, and I’m trying to run a very simple LED-blinking application as part of the FSBL.When I debug the project using STM32CubeIDE, everything works correctly and the LED blinks as expected.Next, I want to flash the FSBL application to the external flash, so I generated the header using the following command:STM32_SigningTool_CLI.exe -bin N6test_FSBL.bin -nk -of 0x80000000 -t fsbl -o N6test_FSBL-trusted.bin -hv 2.3 -dump N6test_FSBL-trusted.binI then put the board into DEV mode, connected with STM32CubeProgrammer, and flashed the image at address 0x70000000.After disconnecting, switching to FLASH mode, and resetting the board, nothing happens. The LED does not blink.Does anyone know what I might be missing or misconfiguring? Thanks for your help.

Hello community, I am currently considering capturing and analyzing BLE packets by using BLE sniffer, but for that I need the LTK used for decryption.BLE Secure Connection pairing does not directly exchange LTK, so I do not know where to find it exactly in BLE Stack.Could you please tell me how to output an LTK log by modifying the user source code?-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[Srouce]STM32CubeWBA/Projects/NUCLEO-WBA55CG/Applications/BLE/BLE_SerialCom_Peripheral at main · STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWBA

Dear community,we're using a Makefile Project with STM32H5xx and NetX Duo using the LAN8742When the code is generated, CubeMX is adding the line:.../STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.1.1/Drivers/BSP/Components/lan8742/lan8742.c \twice to the Makefile which leads to multiple definition errors in Compile. The line has to be removed by Hand afterwards. I think this is malicous behaviour here.Best RegardsPascal
