Posted on December 13, 2017 at 10:59Hello, if i wanted to program the MCU using SPC5 Connect via CAN, what kind of connection did I need to make between SPC5 Connect and the MCU? The MCU I currently using is SPC560B64L7.

Posted on December 14, 2017 at 18:57I see there some have problems (the board doesn't work well anymore) after separating the programmer part from the rest of the board. And I intend to use this tool to cut the bridges...#pcb #cut #bridges

Posted on May 01, 2017 at 20:58The ST25R3911B datasheet, page 14 Figure 3, shows a minimum configuration of antenna connection components. However, no suggested values are given for the 2 inductors, 7 capacitors, and 1 resistor. Are recommended component values - and perhaps a recommended PCB layout - available?

Posted on June 26, 2017 at 14:50Hallo dear Community, for a student projekt I am looking for a solution to communicate with M24LR04E-R which ist ISO15693 Dynamic Tag. First I choose ST25R3911B-DISCO evaluation kit with ST25R3911B Reader-IC on it. This solution is ISO15693 compilant and it look‘s like a good idea to Read/Write on the M24LR. But it is in the developing phase and I can‘t order that. So I thought about ordering simple ST25R3911B Reader-IC and upgrade it with a self-made antenna. But the datasheet of the ST25R3911B says nothing about  supporting NFC-V (ISO 15693).Tell me please if I can pair ST25R3911B Reader-IC with M24LR04E-R Tag.Best regards, Hanna

Posted on December 13, 2017 at 08:37On an STM32F407 device I'm configuring a timer TIM4 in input capture mode to measure the input duration of a PWM signal on the Channel 3 input.  The signal comes for a US Digital absolute encoder where the duty cycle of the 4ms PWM signal indicates the encoder position. The problem I'm having is that when I swap the capture/compare 3 polarity (CC3P) bit in the timer capture/compare enable register (CCER) register,  the timer continues to only detect the rising edge of the PWM signal.  Code similar to that shown below works for advanced control timers TIM1 and TIM8 on all four channels, but it won't work for general purpose TIM4 on channel 3. Is the ability to detect a falling edge a known issue with general purpose timers? My interrupt handler where I swap the polarity bit is shown below.volatile uint16_t rise_time = 0;void TIM4_IRQHandler(void){  uint16_t ccer;  uint16_t capture;  uint16_t duration;  // TMR4 Channel

Posted on May 03, 2017 at 11:42Does anyone have any experience with the current consumption when using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 (STM32L072 and LoRa board) with i-cube-lrwan 110?I can't get the current consumption below below 1.1mA no matter what i try. In lowpower (stop) mode all pins are set as analog, clocks are disabled, debug is off.- I checked the device going into STOP mode- Configured all non-connected pins to GPIO_MODE_ANALOG, GPIO_NOPULL- Configured connected pins (UART, etc.) to GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP, GPIO_NOPULL, and set to zeroI also stopped the debug clock in the ARM:  __HAL_RCC_DBGMCU_CLK_ENABLE( );  HAL_DBGMCU_DisableDBGSleepMode( );  HAL_DBGMCU_DisableDBGStopMode( );  HAL_DBGMCU_DisableDBGStandbyMode( );Also TCXO is Off.Still the current consumption is above 1 mA.Anyone out there that managed to get the current down? Thanks!#lora #b-l072z-lrwan1

Posted on December 11, 2017 at 10:20helloi use the nfc memory m24sr64 with the dedicated source code ('STM32CubeExpansion_NFC1_V1.6.0').I have an issue using the i2c token release sequence, supposed to close the i2c session. In fact, our micro sends the start condition and the slave adress, but then, the ms24sr blocks the SCL line to low level for 28ms before releasing it.Then the stop condition occurs. So, during the i2c token release sequence, our micro sends 8 clock period for the start and the slave adress, and the 9th appears 28ms later. So, the token release sequence seems not being correct, compared to the sequence on the m24sr64 datasheet.Do you have an idea why the m24sr64 should block the SCL line during the token release sequence, although we send its correct adress ?thank you !

Posted on December 12, 2017 at 11:28Hello,I am using a STM32F334.Is it possible to configure a pin in Alternate Function Mode (Timer input Channel for my project) and to use at the same time the pin as an external interrupt source ?It seems to work properly in my project but I am surprised it does and could not find any information on this case in the Reference Manual. Is it unrecommended to do it ?According to Reference Manual, external interrupts are handled through EXTI and SYSCFG_EXTICRx registers while mode of GPIO pin is handled through GPIOx_MODER registers which are not related.Thank you,#pin-configuration

Posted on December 12, 2017 at 02:55Hi,I am using sample application for serial operation on SPC570S-DISP, from serial_lld.c, it looks like SD1 is mapped to LINFLEX0 and SD2 is mapped to LINFLEX1. I have no problem read/write SD1, however i need at least 2 serial port, one for console and one for API. But when i add a line of code 'sd_lld_start (&SD2, NULL); ' after the original 'sd_lld_start(&SD1, NULL);', the application stops working. Debug showing it is stuck in the first xTaskCreate (...) function call i had. If i comment out the sd_lld_start for SD2, then the xTaskCreate function call can complete and application works. I wonder what i have missed.I have set the SPC570Sxx Low Level Drivers Component RLA/LINFlex Settings/LINFLEX1 to Serial (default was None). I don't know if there is any other place i need to change.Best Regards,Job#serial

Posted on December 08, 2017 at 21:56After CubeMX griped that my software was too old, I tried to upgrade from the New Libraries Manager, but there was an error downloading the file. I fetched the file manually, then tried installing using the New Libraries Manager 'local' function. I get a 'Problem during unzip of file', though the file unzips fine under 7Zip.Can anybody provide an alternate method of installing this library? This is preventing me from even _starting_ a project.#cubemx-zip-file-new-library-manager

Posted on February 09, 2017 at 17:34In the UHF RFID reader ST25RU3993 I am having a little bit of a problem with startup of the VCO.In VCO control register 11h I can change the internal oscillator bias current. What do I gain by changing it from the default ?I can also manually select the VCO range segment, I will like to do that to speed up the change of frequency, but how do I figure out the best VCO segment, is it possible to calculate it ?In section 2.3.1 in the data sheet it says that: ' Details on using the 1800MHz VCO are described in a dedicated application note'.Where can I find this app. note? #uhf-rfid-reader-st25ru3993

Posted on December 11, 2017 at 20:34Hi,I'm using a STM32F417 on which I want to have a bootloader (at the beginning of the flash, i.e. address 0x08000000) and two applications using FreeRTOS (one at address 0x08004000 and the other one at address 0x08040000). The bootloader and the first application are working fine, but when it comes to jump to the second application, the programm crashes. To try to find where the problem comes from, I have loaded only application 1 (without bootlaoder) at address 0x08004000 : that works. Then application 1 at address 0x08040000 : programm crashes. I have of course relocated interrupt vector (using VTOR) at address 0x08040000, and I have changed my linker accordingly. When I go in debug mode, I can see that programm never crashes at the same point. Going further, I tried to load application at addresse 0x08006000 (it's working), 0x08008000 (it's working) and 0x0800A000. With this last test, the programm seems to work but strange behavior starts to ap

Posted on December 08, 2017 at 11:24Hi guysI will give a quick run down so you can gauge my ability, as well as how you can help - which I would very much appreciateequipment I am using:Nucleo F030R8ST-Link v2STM32CubeMXKeil uVision5I started using the Nucleo recently, and it has been a big step up . In the past I used the Arduino comfortably. I made an app for the iphone to control LED lights connected to a Teensy(Arduino adaptation in simple) via bluetooth. I also touched upon the ESP8266 and hosted a webpage.Since stepping up to the Nucleo I have struggled. I use the STM32CubeMX and downland to Keil. I have done a basic Hello World program which is to light up LD2 on my Nucleo. Success (link I used-http://www.instructables.com/id/STM32F103-Blink-LED/).However, I feel stuck and unsure of what to do now. I do not know the commands to do things. When the code was downloaded to Keil there is a line that reads:HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LD2_GPIO_Port,LD2_Pin);My understanding is this sets off

Posted on December 05, 2017 at 23:07Hello ST Community,I have an application using the IIS2DH MEMS accelerometer. I was running into some issues, so to troubleshoot, I bought the STEVAL-MKI168V1 daughter board and SEVAL-MKI109V2 mother board. Using these kits, and by using the STSW-MKI109W software package, I was able to troubleshoot the majority of my issues.I have one issue that remains. The multibyte read does not work in 4 wire SPI mode. Here are some details.1. I have the /MS bit in the command byte set to 1.2. My command sequence appears to be no different than SPI_Read_MultiData in spi_mems.c of the sample code.3. When reading out the registers (0x20 to 0x3F), I get correct data if I read each register using the single-byte read mode. If I use the multi-byte read mode, I will get data that doesn't make sense. For example, I might read INT1_SRC (0x31) and get a 1 in the most significant bit (supposed to be zero).I noticed a few things while looking at the sample code a
