Hey,  I am using the STM32G0B0VET (16MHz HSE) with a virtual com port over USB. The virtual com port is working fine but as a backup I would love to be able to let the user reflash the device. I was thinking of using the DFU for this since then the user would only need a standard USB cable (consumer electronics hopefully high volume). I exposed a button that can pull BOOT O high (small reprogram button you have to push). (Normally in the field updates are not needed but I would like to have this as a backup). Now I have the following problem when I boot the device (that is flashed) when pressing the button (keeping BOOT 0 high) my PC sees the virtual COM port and not the DFU device. It is thus running the usual code and not entering the bootloader. If I erase the STM32 with the ST link I can access the DFU just fine with the boot button. Does anybody have a fix for this?  Best regard and thanks already for the help.

Hello There  I have question regarding calibration of offset and cross talk for VL53L4CD / VL53L4ED.For my application i need to config Signal Threshold, Sigma Threshold, Timing Budget etc to other than sensor's default value,  So, my question is should i do xtalk & offset calibration with sensor's default config? or i need to do  calibration with my custom config?   Regards

I have one question regarding the HAL_FLASH_Program function. I use the HAL_FLASH_Program many times during the runtime of the firmware. I use it to store log, warnings and errors in the several flash pages. When the page is full and I must write into it I erase the page, obviously.   However, at the very begining I also want to store the "reset cause" (an entry in the flash pages) of the last power cycle (switch on off). Was it a BOR, WWDOG, IWOG, PINRST, etc, etc,..? Unfortunately, I am unable to successfully use HAL_FLASH_Program with a HAL_OK. It seems as if HAL_FLASH_Program does not work at the very beginning of the firmware application... does it sound crazy? Could it be that this function needs some time to work.  /** * @brief The function's role is to save the log data into the log page/s. */ mid_error_t flash_program_loop_2(const uint8_t * data_in) { HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); /** * first we check if the next position to writ

Hello,I currently working with the STEVAL-25R3916B kit and using the ST25R3916 GUI to tune the antenna. My goal is to achieve a target amplitude of 2600 mV or higher, but the system remains around 2 V even when 5 V is selected for RF power on the reader expansion board.I’ve noticed that the amplitude displayed in the GUI is significantly lower than the target value after performing antenna tuning, and the parameter AAT_B reaches its maximum limit of 255.Here are the outputs and screen copies.-Startup TabST25R3916 Reader Board Detected.. Hello,I am trying to get the VS-Code extension to work on my Intel-Mac. I already have it running on my Windows machine no problem. The problem is, that the extensions won't activate. I have created a new project using CubeMX and choose CMake as the toolchain. Then I installed the STM32 CLI tools, as well as cmake and the ARM compiler. Then I am opening the project in VS-Code and CMake asks for a target. Hi!If I look at the datasheet of STM32WL31xx, I find Table 34. PA impedance which tells e.g. an optimum load impedance of 32 Ω // 16 nH in line 5 (high power, 868MHz) This STM32WL31xx is (according to the datasheet) available in VFQFPN32 and VFQFPN48 packages.-----Now, while reading the AN5457 (RF matching network design guide for STM32WL Series), I get confused. This AN should cover the whole STM32WL31 and STM32WL33 series , right? So It should definitely be valid for my STM32WL31K8 in VFQFPN32 pakage? Now to my questions:1.) If the AN5457 is applicable, why does PA matching impedance measurements in Appendix A not contain any PA impedance measurements for the VFQFPN32 package?2.) If I compare the datasheet PA load impedance given at the top of this post with the "next best" data of the UFQFPN48 package, the values are not anywhere near that of the values in the datasheet. Can anyone tell which impedance value I should use as a starting

Dear ST Team,I am using an STM32H5 series microcontroller in my design and I am trying to understand the overall power consumption contributed by different MCU interfaces. So far, I have identified the following:The typical maximum current on VDD, in VOS0 condition with all peripherals enabled, at 85 °C, is approximately 118 mA (based on STM32H5 datasheet values). My Question:I tried to find similar information for the VDDIO supply pins. However, the datasheet only provides peripheral-wise consumption in µA/MHz, which appears to apply to low‑power (sleep) modes, not active RUN‑mode.I want to calculate the VDDIO current consumption for my specific design configuration. My active interfaces are:16‑bit SDRAM on FMC, operating at 166 MHzQSPI Flash memorySPI interfacesUART interfaces4 ADC channelsApproximately 50 GPIO pinsThe MCU is operating at 250 MHz (VOS0) in RUN mode.Thank you.Regards,Rajesh Matere

Hi all, I am trying to get a zephyr project running on an STM32N6570-DK, including Camera, NPU, VENC and Ethernet.I have been using STMCubeMX 6.16.1 to create the project based on the provided DK default settings. For the Ethernet block, the configurator shows pin conflicts, I double-checked and the pins are not in use by the Ethernet driver:There are similar warnings for the SD/MMC2 block:Am I missing something here or can it safely be ignored? Simon

Hello,At my workplace, we have purchased two STM32N6570-DK boards to implement our computer vision models. We are currently trying to implement the "st_yolo_x_nano 480x480x3" model from the ModelZoo. We followed these two links, strictly respecting the versions indicated for both STM32CubeIDE and STEdge: How to run AI models from Model Zoo on STM32N6  Introduction to Edge AI on STM32N6 (This second link uses STEdge 2.2, as per the reference).  The Issue: Every time I attempt to debug, the same thing happens: the program enters a HardFault_Handler(). This occurs due to an invalid/null pointer error returned by the function LL_ATON_Output_Buffers_Info() in buffers_info[0].scale.  The error happens specifically when it reaches line 36 of the code. According to the debugger, it cannot access memory at address 0x0.   Technical Details:Configuration: The app_Config.h file being used is the one provided in the ModelZoo.   /** *******************************

Good evening, now that I can ping my F767ZI board with my laptop, I'm trying to use some tutorials on the web to be able to send data (numbers or message strings) to a server (Hercules software set as a TCP server), but I'm having some difficulties (I don't know whether to use semaphores or timers as interrupts, and for semaphores, it's not entirely clear to me how to use them). I'm wondering if there's a short guide for my board that can give me a starting point. I'm using CUBE IDE V1.18.1. I tried starting from the project that allows me to ping my board, but as soon as I try to make some changes, the ping no longer works, and the timer set as an event interrupt doesn't work anymore, so I would need a tutorial as an example (the tutorial I followed successfully had a UDP library, but now I'll have to use the TCP libraries I already have, but I'm having some difficulties).   Here below the code that I used for start point and that is give to me the way to ping my board succesflul

Hi,  In the STM32WL5MOC datasheet I can find the 32MHz TXCO HSE accurancy, but not the LSE 32kHz RTC clock accuracy. Could someone look into this and provide the min/max values similar to TXCO characteristics in Table 10? Best Regards,Dave

Hi,I am looking to use the STM6710DWB6F as a quad-channel voltage supervisor, specifically for 3.3V, 5V, 6V and 12V rails.  The datasheet specifies V1IN = 5V, V2IN = 3.3V, V3IN = 1.8V, and V4IN = adjustable.  It seems obvious use V1IN and V2IN directly, while feeding either 6V or 12V through a voltage divider to provide 1.8V into V3IN.  However, I am uncertain how to use V4IN to monitor the remaining voltage.  The datasheet states a typical threshold voltage of 0.62V at this pin and to use a resistor divider to modify this value.  However, will this affect V1IN-V3IN?  Any help in understanding V4IN and the effects of setting threshold voltages would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Brendon

Good morning,  I need to send data using UART to a board with a specific delay between single elements, which I obtain as I'm using LABVIEW, but on the board said specific delay is not obtained, and worst of all the delay between datas is not constant. I figured there would have been some additional delay, but is there a way to decrease it or at least make it constant? or is it intrinsic to the UART technology?  Thx all

Good Morning,   I'm struggling with FDCAN Bus Recovery. The system we have to use consists of an STM32H753-based board and a 3rd party ECU, which is internally terminated via software. Our custom board is also terminated, resulting in the correct 60 Ohm between CAN Hi & CAN Lo. In the event I add an additional termination resistor to the Bus, the power-up sequence doesn't matter, however the bus is the over-terminated, which is obviously not correct. I can, however, see the custom board initially blurting out a CAN frame as fast as it can before the other ECU has finished powering up, and then normal CAN comms is seen on PCAN (the PCAN has been configured to not send any Acks). However, if I leave the bus as it is, it looks like the bus from the perspective of the custom board just turns off. I can see the 3rd party ECU splurging out one of its' messages as fast as it can, however our board should be seeing this message and transmitting Acks etc. I have implemented the Bus-Off

I am using B-G473E-ZEST1S + STEVAL-LVLP01 + R57BLB50L2 in HSO configuration. Whenever I start the motor I can observe LED1 on STEVAL-LVLP01 is turning ON for few ms. Though motor is starting and running successfully. But I need to understand why I am getting Driver Fault from STDRIVE101 IC (TIM8_BRK2) at startup. Can I eliminate this with correct configuration? Attached MotorControl Workbench project and MotorPilot snapshot for reference.

I have experience with PIC and AVR microcontrollers, but they lack the good debug features of the STM8 series. Furthermore, these microcontrollers aren't cheap. While looking for simple and inexpensive chips, I keep coming across the STM8 series.Mastering a new microcontroller takes time. I'm confused about learning the STM8 because STMicroelectronics is recommending their STM32 series, which uses the ARM Cortex-M core. This recommendation makes me wonder if investing time in the STM8 is a good idea, or if it would be better to learn the more widely-supported and future-proof STM32 family.

drag and drop error I have a Mac Pro M4 with Tahoe 26.2 OS, STM32CubeIDE version 2.0.2, and I am having trouble selecting and copying a selection of lines. I tried several tests and that option disappeared. If I am comparing two files, dragging and dropping text works perfectly. Is there any notification about this? Is there a solution? Thank you.   Post edited by ST moderator: This post has been translated from Spanish to comply with the ST Community guidelines. Hello, is there any additional documentation that supports this system diagram? My project will have one antenna that will be an RFID tag whereas the other antenna will be reader. Can ST25r100 support this use case? I'd like to have the ability to write to a card as well and it seems like only RFO1 and RFO2 will have the ability to do that function. is that correct? Thanks!

I’m currently working on a project where I already managed to read ISO14443 tags (NTAG213) successfully.To improve the reading quality and range, I now want to switch to ISO15693 tags. However, I’ve spent more than 30 hours trying, and so far, I haven’t been able to read a single one.I know that using the RFAL (Radio Frequency Abstraction Layer) is the right approach for ISO15693, but no matter what I do, it just doesn’t work.I’ve tried several examples, libraries, and even asked AI tools for help — but I also know that AI isn’t great when it comes to low-level driver implementation.Does anyone here have experience with ISO15693 and RFAL on ESP32? Any working examples or tips would be really appreciated.

I have a new board design that interfaces an STM32L4A6 with a uSD card using 1.8V I/O. The SD Card is powered by 3.3V and supports the LVS mode of SD. The STM32L4 does not seem take account the SD specification 6.0. There is no auto detection mecanism of the signalling voltage level in this MCU. This MCU can not start in UHS-I 1.8V mode.Do you know a MCU which can start the LVS identification sequence ?
