Solved

I tried install different Cube version ,include latest version on 2 windows computers . both them are disabled HSE configuation in clock configuation dialog.Since HSE disabled and USB clock also inavliable.Who can tell me why and how solve this issue. ( Manually coding please skip, I mean this tool, STMicoelectronics launched tool)

I am just trying to use the STM32CubeMX tool. The application needs two USARTs. One for communication with external processor. This will be an RS485 interface. The PCB will have hardware for RS485 transceiver, mux/demux for directionality of transmission. Due to this, I am configuring this USART in asynchronous mode (no flow control for RS232 or RS485). This USART1 will also be used as a bootloader. Please confirm if this configuration will work. For the NVIC settings, I enabled the USART1 global interrupt. Will this interrupt trigger both on transmit and receive bytes?I also need the serial wire debug capability. I want to configure a separate USART (USART2)for this. Do I configure this the same way as USART1? Initially I will be using the ST-Link debugging tool, later maybe the JLink SWD. I will disable the interrupt for this. Please confirm if correct. Thanks,Priya

Hello,I have missed to confirm my registration on webinar, could you confirm my participation?I have received the board for this webinar, thank you.Best regards, Oubaid.

Hi ST,I received an email this morning (21st September 2020 at 7:00) with the prerequisites for the training on the 22nd.XSBSFURequest SoftwareRequest for software successfully submitted. The approval process may take up to 48 hours. After you have been approved, you should receive a link to the requested software via email.Hopefully this is not the case as I won't be setup for the training tomorrow. Maybe try sending the emails out earlier next time?Mark Symonds

Hello all,I have an STM32F7508-Discovery board (STM32F750N8H6 MCU) with a custom UI application on top, using LTDC and DMA2D in interrupt mode, and continuously filling the full display with red/blue. The Stm32CubeF7 v1.16.0 is used as an SDK.With this application, I have the following behavior:With IAR toolchain, no issues observed, application works smoothly with good performancesWith GCC toolchain (Stm32CubeIde 1.40.0), the application freezes at random points during executionThe worst part is that this is not an application freeze, but an MCU freeze, because:The debugger loses connectivity, trying to halt the CPU doesn't work during the freeze, neither does attaching the debugger without a system resetThe SysTickHandler is no longer executed, meaning the IRQs stop firingThe RTOS idle task is not entered anymoreThe WDT is the only thing that can reboot the MCU, with the WDT disabled, there's no other solution other than pressing the RST buttonAfter the WDT reset, I see all the CPU r

I've already got version 1.4 installed and the instructions say use 1.3. Before I spend any significant time on preparing for this course is it ok to use 1.4?TIA

Hello I am working on a 48V BLDC drive unit and I would like to implement the safety feature "Safe Limitd Speed" according SIL2/3 and PLc/d.In the Motor Control Reference Guide from ST there is "Safety ready: SIL, Class B" as one of the key features of the STM32 microcontroller mentioned.Could this be the base for my requirement? Is it possible to get more detailled information about the safety features of this processor? Are there any application notes vailable?Thank you for your feedback.

Following in the directions of this post, I am able to reserve and write to (and read back) from a section of FLASH dedicated to calibration data. However, when I reprogram the device, the IDE wipes the whole memory clean before programming and we lose all the data. Since we are in a debugging cycle, we are constantly reprogramming and have to write the calibration back as a first step every time. Is there a way to tell the IDE to only erase a certain region of memory corresponding to the program data? Thanks.Modified linker memory definitions:/* Memories definition */MEMORY{ DTCMRAM  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x20000000,  LENGTH = 128K ITCMRAM  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x00000000,  LENGTH = 64K RAM_D1  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x24000000,  LENGTH = 512K RAM_D2  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x30000000,  LENGTH = 288K RAM_D3  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x380000

Hi,I recently downloaded the latest version of the en.STSW-ST25RFAL001: v2.2.0/22-May-2020. In my application I had been using an older version of the en.STSW-ST25RFAL001. However in the Release notes for en.STSW-ST25RFAL001: v2.2.0/22-May-2020, there is a section that says: Aligned APIs on platform.h (breaks compatibility with previous versions, see example in rfal.chm)I checked the example in rfal.chm and could not find any references to a changed platform.h anywhere. I am getting a lot of compile errors because I am missing the correct platform.h. I have tried the latest STSW-ST25R002 and X-NUCLEO-NFC5 (as mentioned in the answers in this post) and none have the updated platform.h. I say this because neither of the two packages have a platform.h that has the "platformTimerDestroy(tmr);" or "platformErrorHandle();" functions, which are present in the latest RFAL.Also when #define RFAL_FEATURE_NFC_DEP is set to true (in the latest RFAL library), it gives rise to a whole

Hello @Community member ,i implemented the DMA, the DCMI, LTDC and DMA2D with their interruptions but I got something incorrect.how can I solve this?

Hello,I am trying to read single ADC channel using NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board but the result is wrong. I have created a very simple project using CubeMX. Kept the default Clock setting. Enabled ADC3 CH0 (PC3_C Pint) in single ended mode polling. Enabled UART3 to print the message using on board VCP. But the adc return value is not correct. When i connect PC3 Pin to GND, value is around 4650-4750. I have tried many other combinations, but could not figure out what wrong i did. Can someone help me to solve ADC reading error. Initialization code is as bellow.ADC Value Read :uint16_t ADC_Raw; while (1) {   //HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LD2_GPIO_Port, LD2_Pin); HAL_ADC_Start (&hadc3); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion (&hadc3, 100); ADC_Raw = HAL_ADC_GetValue (&hadc3); My_Printf("\r\n CH%d[%d] ",0,ADC_Raw); HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc3); HAL_Delay(1000);  /* USER CODE END WHILE */  /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }System Clock Configuration :void SystemClock_Confi

On F1xx and F4xx platforms, I have been using the GPIO pull-up resistors for the connections to OC hall sensors used in BLDC motors. There has never been a problem. With STM32H750, I can see that the PUPDR register has the right values for the pull-up resistors in the EXTI lines, but no current comes out to keep the value high when the hall transistor OC is open. If I change the pin to GPIO input, I can confirm that the H750 pull-up resistor works properly. My conclusion is that this is a bug in the H750 silicon. If that is the case, I cannot use this MCU because I don't want to add the external resistors. Could somebody confirm? The planned remedy is to replace the STM32H750VBT6 board with a STM32F750V8T6 board. This is not ideal because the H750 has lower price, has more memory, and is faster than F750. On other hand the simpler architecture in F750 allows much faster pin manipulation.

There is this file, StemWin_Labs.v.2.0_materials.zip, needed for the STM32 graphics tutorial for the stm32f469i-discovery board that appears to be difficult to find with the examples. I have found other files, but not this one with the examples in the tutorial.Any suggestions? Thanks, tjm

I'm trying to figure out the battery consumption of an STM32F746. Accodring to the datasheet, that depends on SRAM state, RCC state, and if the LSE is in low, medium low, medium high, or high drive.I have no idea what these kinds of drives are, nor did I find them in the reference. How can I configure the "drive", and what is the default?

Hi !There is an error while building project as shown in the picture below and more error details are like :"Errors occurred during the build.Errors running builder 'CDT Builder' on project 'STM32F072CBU_CDC_STM32_CUBE_IDE'.java.lang.NullPointerException"Looking for possible solution. Thanks in advance regards,VK Verma

The display is a TFT mcufriend-like (http://www.lcdwiki.com/2.4inch_Arduino_Display) based on the ILI9341 chip. I started with the 'Unigraphic-St7920-Test' on mbed to make it work on my Nucleo F756ZG board (https://os.mbed.com/users/charly/code/UniGraphic-St7920-Test/file/ec8380e9a255/main.cpp). To make it works on the Nucleo I inserted the TFT with the equivalent pin of the Arduino. Declaration line is modified as ILI9341 myLCD(PAR_8, PortC, PF_3, PF_5, PC_3, PC_0, PA_3,"myLCD"); // Parallel 16bit, Port, CS, reset, DC, WR, RD for F401When uploaded on the Nucleo the TFT brightness goes up, the program run, I see on the COM3 port that the program keeps running and writing, however doesn't matter what I do the screen keeps being white. My issue is probably with this 'PortC' Definition (I figured too late the tft doesn't have a SPI). I looked up on PAR8.h, Protocols.h, ILI9341.h, can't understand how this parallel gpio works. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.P.S. I'm sorry to ad

Hi, I'm trying to implement my own DFU bootloader interface, since I'm using a custom STM32F446RET board.Been looking into STM32F446ZE-Nucleo DFU_Standalone project to get some ideas, but seems to be quite different to my new custom CubeMX created project.Eg:STM32F446ZE-Nucleo DFU_Standalone project has a usbd_dfu_flash.c file which contains some Flash read and write functions (Flash_If_Write, Flash_If_Read).Custom CubeMX STM32F446RET board project has a usbd_dfu_if.c file, with some function prototypes like MEM_If_Write_FS, MEM_If_Read_FSAm I supposed to write my Flash read/write code into usbd_dfu_if.c function skeletons? Makes sense, but unfortunately there is a big lack of documentation on STM32 APIs, so I better ask. Thanks in advance

After testing Proprietary code readout protection (PCROP) features, STM32F4 got bricked.Steps to reproduce:Enable SPRMOD for PCROP usage and enable PCROP bit 3 (Flash sector 3)Send an :unprotect:force DFU commandSTM32 will be bricked by now, not booting into USB DFU mode when pulling BOOT0 pin high

Hi,I'm building my project inside a Docker container that has STM32CubeIDE installed using the command:headless-build.sh -build demo-nucleo-f334r8 -importAll /appThe project builds fine, and I'm able to successfully flash my board with the generated images. However, when I try to run a debug session on my Host machine (OSX and Windows 10) with the generated .elf file(from the Docker build) I get the following error"Can't find a source file at "/app/Debug/../Core/Src/main.c" "I tried using the -fdebug-prefix-map flag as follows:-fdebug-prefix-map=$(@D)=.to strip away the Docker directory prefix, however this does not seem to be having any effect. Is there a way to use a debug image built inside a docker container with a debug session on the host machine? Note: If I build my project inside a docker container using arm-none-eabi-gcc v9.3.1 and include the -fdebug-prefix-map flag in my Makefile, I'm able to run arm-none-eabi-gbd with the generated .elf image on my host machine and debug as

I have ported the STM32F4 firmware written for NFC05A1 board and got it to run well on a Nucleo STM32F0 board. Since then, I have since designed and prototyped a custom board with with the NFC05A1 reference design copied and controlled with an STM32F0.The only difference between this board and my Nucleo paired evaluation board set-up is that I have 3.3V going to both VDD and VDD_IO of the ST25R3911B, unlike the reference design which has a VDD of 5V.My design does not seem to be working properly, even though the SPI interface is working correctly and I can read/write registers.I have noticed this:When I run my firmware on the NFC05A1, I can read the correct values for the Power Supplies using the Measure Voltage command, ie:VDD = 5.1VVRF = 5.1VVSA = 3..4VVSD = 3.4VBUT, when I run the same firmware on my board (even if I set the sup3_V bit in the IO Config Register 2), I get ZERO for all these 4 supplies.Am I doing something wrong?Do I need to change something in the reference firmware

Hi, Is STTH1602CT Diode having Electrostatic Discharge voltage capabilities? if yes then how much voltage? Because its not mention in datasheet.ThanksNandish Jasani.
