Goodmorning,I'm reading the UM1618 User manual but I d0n't understand the differences between alternate interface and main interface.May anyone explain me the meaning and differences, please?Best regardsE.

As long as this 0x23 file is larger than 200M, it will fail to burn. I use version 2.5

Is there a "Getting Started" description availible. I want to load my project In CubeMonitor like in former STM-Studio and show variables on the dashboard and want to log it. The Youtube instruction I found is more for user, who knows the tool.Thank you.

Hello,I recently started using STM32 CubeMonitor. I've already tried some things with the function node and I wondered if it's possible to log data directly to a .xlsx-file.

I’m working with an STM32G474RE chip, and I’m trying to use the synchronization feature of the DMA multiplexer to time when a DMA transfer to SPITX should occur. I’d like to have this timed synchronously to some other timer events.Looking at the documentation, it appears like the options for synchronization signals come from EXTI 0-15, signals generated in the DMAMUX itself, or the LPTIM timer’s output. The LPTIM timer doesn’t have the same connections to the synchronization signals as the other timers (advanced, general, and basic), so I can’t use it to generate the needed signal. I suppose I could generate a waveform on a timer’s channel output, route that with a wire to another GPIO pin, and use that as a synchronization signal, but that is so unnecessarily wasteful and introduces the possibility of capacitance issues, etc.It seems very odd that the DMAMUX peripheral would include the synchronization function, but use an implementation that excludes timers. Is there something that ca

I cant seem to get the STM32CubeIDE to work with the STM32MP157C-DK2 board. It builds the examples and then when I go to load and debug i get the following:Open On-Chip Debugger 0.10.0+dev-01193-g5ce997d (2020-02-20-10:57) Licensed under GNU GPL v2 For bug reports, read http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html cortex_a interrupt mask on cortex_a interrupt mask on cortex_a domain access control fixup on cortex_a domain access control fixup on none separate adapter speed: 8000 kHz adapter_nsrst_assert_width: 200 adapter_nsrst_delay: 200 none srst_pulls_trst srst_only srst_pulls_trst srst_gates_jtag srst_open_drain connect_deassert_srst Info : Listening on port 6666 for tcl connections Info : Listening on port 4444 for telnet connections Info : STLINK V2J36S26 (API v2) VID:PID 0483:3752 Info : using stlink api v2 Info : Target voltage: 3.231496 Info : Unable to match requested speed 8000 kHz, using 4000 kHz Info : Unable to match requested speed 8000 kHz, using 4000 kHz Info : clock spee

I have a project using STM32G031G6Ux(UFQFPN28), so in CubeMX I could not find the external crystal oscillator pins.So I want to know that whether this MCU  has the pin to connect external crystal oscillator?Dose there have any documents about the design about this MCU,thanks.

Hi all,I need a dual bank firmware update to meet some requirements. I have a STM32WB55 with 1MB of flash which is seperated in 3 sections of 300kb (ble, appliciation and an update stack) + bootloader. I can do a firmware update and now im trying to speed up the transmission process. Currently im sending the binary to the update stack. My ble service sends 4 bytes header with 16 bytes of data and directly safe the data on flash using HAL_FLASH_Program and a semaphore (required for bluetooth connection see ble_RfWithFlash). Because programming flash is pretty slow, 5.5 ms for double word, so > 11ms per message, it takes a long time to transfer the entire binary...What would be a good way to improve this timewise? I came up with a two solution but dont know what is the best approach and what the advantages and disadvantages would be.Create a buffer of one page and use fast program to program one entire page instead of 2 double-words each time(i do have enough free ram)Use data length

Dear ST Hello,I am using the ST example for SPI communication for getting started with STM32F429i-discovery.This the header of the main file. ******************************************************************************   * @file SPI/SPI_FullDuplex_ComPolling/Src/main.c   * @author MCD Application Team   * @brief This sample code shows how to use STM32F4xx SPI HAL API to transmit   * and receive a data buffer with a communication process based on   * Polling transfer.   * The communication is done using 2 Boards.   ******************************************************************************This the link to the project:STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.24.0\Projects\STM32F429I-Discovery\Examples\SPI\SPI_FullDuplex_ComPolling\SW4STM32My question is: 1/Does ST has configured the GPIO for Clk MOSI MISO and CS?2/In the main.h file, there no definition for CS,/* Definition for SPIx Pins */#define SPIx_SCK_PIN GPIO_PIN_2   #define SPIx_SCK_GPIO_PORT GPIOE

Hello!I'm working on NFC project. I created a program on STM32070RB microcontroller (Nucleo and x-cube05) but all the store in EU don't have it on stock. Because of that I took STM32070C6T6.Unfortunately, this chip have only 32kbayts of FLASH and IDE give me an error (region `FLASH' overflowed by 7428 bytes). Can you recommend me which files and code would be the most efficient to delete or any other idea how to decrease the FLASH uses.Below I attached my project for example.Thank you and all the best,Domen

Good morning,I am developing a project for SPC574K2 with SPC5 studio V.6 which uses the C55 flash driver with ppc-freevle-eabi-gcc compiler. I suppose I need to use the c55_freegcc.a library, I would like to understand what is the difference from c55_gcc.a.Anybody can help me?Thanking in advance.Best regards,E.

Im new into the SPC5-Studio. For the beginning it would help to have a document which shows me how to implement a Signal or sth else. For my 574s-Mcu there is just one example to let an led blink. IS there maybe a library of all Functions like togglepad like i saw in this example? The most documents or Helps are focussing on components like the AutoDevKit or GTM, but they are not compatible to my MCU.

Hi, I would like to ask how to turn on low side pwm during idle state ?I use workbench (5.3.2) to change "Low side PWM idle state" from "Turn-off" to "Turn-on"After generating code , i will get compiler error as the following #error "Error: LOW_SIDE_IDLE_STATE in driver_parameters.h must be false (TURN_OFF)."Does it means that i need to add the following in driver_parameters.h#define LOW_SIDE_IDLE_STATE falseand mark #error "Error: LOW_SIDE_IDLE_STATE in driver_parameters.h must be false (TURN_OFF)." in parameters_conversion_f30x.h

Hi,We are using the ST25R3916 on a custom board.I'm trying to get the wake up mode working using amplitude measurement.AN5320 shows the sequence to get this working.I can measure the amplitude and everything seems to work, but when I enable the wake up mode no interrupt gets fired every 800ms.Let me explain how I do it:First perform C1 direct command to stop everything. Then I write to registers 00 and 01 my hardware configuration (3V3 etc)Next enable oscillator by writing 0x80 to register 02Wait for interrupt and read register 16Then direct command D3 for amplitude measurementWait for interrupt and read register 16Read the ADC output register 25 (in my case 0x8A)Write this value (0x8A) to register 34 (reference amplitude)Next register 33 with the value 0x10 -> delta AM = 1Next i setup register 32 with the value 0x7C (800ms and IRQ everytime + enable wam)Last step set register 02 to value 0x04 -> osc of and Wakup onAfter this I never get an interrupt (which should happen every 800

I have a NUCLEO-G071RB with X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1 display board and I've imported the GFX01M1_HelloWorld application but it won't launch into debug. I get this error:Error in final launch sequence:Failed to execute MI command:load /Users/sukkinpang/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_stm32g0_imported/Projects/NUCLEO-G071RB/Applications/GFX01M1_HelloWorld/STM32CubeIDE/Debug/X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1.elf Error message from debugger back end:Load failedFailed to execute MI command:load /Users/sukkinpang/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_stm32g0_imported/Projects/NUCLEO-G071RB/Applications/GFX01M1_HelloWorld/STM32CubeIDE/Debug/X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1.elf How can I fix this ?

I am trying to jump into embedded world but i have very less prior experience .... I have been programming PIC16f877a and i felt comfortable with it but now i want to go deep ... Should i opt for STM32 ?Thanks in Advance :)

it is there a patch add to RFAL software package to authenticate and read-write mifare one card?

I use STM32L431, it only possible to program double word, I want program a new data to FLASH if the 64 bits all is '1' in FLASH, otherwise, if the 64 bits is not all '1', I erase it first before program. But when I program a 0xffffffffffffffff to the 64 bits and then need to program a new data(for example: 0x1122334455667788), it fail to program.void Flash_Test(void){ uint32_t startAddr = 0x0801C000; HAL_StatusTypeDef status; FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef EraseInitStruct; uint32_t pageErr; printf("erase one page\r\n"); /*erase one page*/ HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); __HAL_FLASH_CLEAR_FLAG(FLASH_FLAG_OPTVERR);  EraseInitStruct.TypeErase  = FLASH_TYPEERASE_PAGES; EraseInitStruct.Banks    = GetBank(startAddr); EraseInitStruct.Page    = GetPage(startAddr); EraseInitStruct.NbPages   = 1; status = HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&EraseInitStruct, &pageErr); HAL_FLASH_Lock(); if (status != HAL_OK) return; printf("before write 0xff to one page

The suite seems to consist of STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE, STM32CubeProgrammer, STM32CubeMonitor, STM32Cube MCU Packages, and STM32Cube Expansion Packages. Do I need to download and install each of these separately, or is there a single installer that puts this whole "suite" or "ecosystem" on my PC at once? Also, if they are to be installed separately, does it matter in what order they are installed?

Hi Folks,I am trying to build openstlinux-eglfs/st-example-image-qt using yocto/openstlinux distribution (please see details below) for stm32mp157c-dk2 board. After fixing compilation problem with qt3d (scene2d example failed to compile) I was able to boot from SD card. There is STM background on HDMI and bootloader splashscreen on attached screen (which remains black if no HDMI connected). Whatever example I am trying to run using seral console, they does not work with following errors:root@stm32mp1:/usr/share/examples/gui/openglwindow# ./openglwindow No usable crtc/encoder pair for connector "DSI1"qt.qpa.input: X-less xkbcommon not available, not performing key mappingCould not set DRM mode for screen HDMI1 (Permission denied)Could not queue DRM page flip on screen HDMI1 (Permission denied)(last message repeated continuously)I would highly appreciate any hints how to make eglfs image/examples work.Best regards,Andrey.~/stm32mp157c-dk2/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-

I'm building an overcurrent protection device based on an STM32F301C8, using COMP2 to compare an analog signal from a hall sensor against the DAC1 output value. Now I'd like to generate a latching error signal that will remain asserted when the overcurrent situation goes away. The error signal shuts down the device, so it is expected that this resolves the situation. Is there something I can (ab)use for this latch, ideally without involving software or requiring external pins (COMP outputs reduce ADC inputs, which I have way too few of)?Ideas so far:triggering a timer that immediately expires, without reload and using the output compare as an error signalfeeding the COMP output back as a BREAK signal into a timer that generates a 100% PWMResetting the latch is not time critical.
