Hi,I'm looking to create an zigbee endpoint device. I've selected the STM32WB30 for my project and have been configuring in CubeMX. This all goes well. Now I need to flash an wireless stack to the M0, but there is no zigbee stack for the STM32WB30.Does CubeMX put the stack in the user app for the STM32WB30 and work with the MAC 802.15.4 fw? Or is what I'm trying not possible?

Hi,I am currently going through the "STM32 security in practice workshop" which is for the G0 and I really like it.Now my target is a G4 with dual bank. So I wonder if you have some code for this MCU as it probably needs some more settings to add because of its 2 banks. Or does the HAL refer to bank 1 (where the bootloader is) anyway by default? I do NOT need 2 images, just to handle the dual-bank design properly when adding the protections. You don't set the secure memory area in code in the workshop. Is there any special reason for this and can this be done from code? And what is actually the difference between the code presented in the workshop and the X-CUBE-SBSFU. Which is recommended to use? I find the practice workshop easier to understand and implement than the SBSFU. Additionally, SBSFU projects do not seem to be based on CubeMX (.ioc) and therefore don't offer easy implementation of modern bootloaders using FD-CAN or similar as far as I understand. Thanks,Anguel

Hello,How can I watch the values of global or static variables for ADC Module. When I add the variables which keeps data to the watch table, I dont see what's going on. They don't change. ( Also I wanna learn this for Timer and other Modules)

we are configured that pin as Input. We got 0.5V drop at PA7 pin after flashing code. Please let me know the resistor values for all GPIO pins

Hi :) I am using SAI in TDM-8 mode, my MCU is a STM32F446RE. I want to use a PCM1681 but so far I am simply analysing the outputs. Everything seems to work fine apart from the MCLK output pin which gives me nada.I followed what is explained in the RM0390 (https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/dm00135183-stm32f446xx-advanced-armbased-32bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf) section 28.3.8 "SAI clock generator" (pages 941 & 942). In particular:with:sai_x_ker_ck = SAI clock set in Clock Configuration in CubeMXMCLK_x = sai_x_ker_ck / (clockDivider * 2) or = sai_x_ker_ck if clockDivider=0SCK = MCLK * frame_length / 256In my case I need 8 slots of 32 bits each per audio sample, so my frames are 256 bits long, so I have SCK=MCLK=256fs. And because I want the best accuracy possible for fs=44.1kHz, the best I could get was 0.22% with a sai_x_ker_ck of 11.289474MHz which is almost 256fs.So in my case I have sai_x_ker_ck = MCLK = SCK, and I found that in this case the MCLK pin is not outp

Hi, I am using STM32CUBEIDE, project creation is simple. i modified that code and i add the more function. After i need to add another peripherals, so i use .ioc (stm32cubemx) add another peripherials , after save it ask create, when into my project modified code doesnot exist, new fresh code will appear. Can anyone tell me how to overcome this one.??

I just started using the SensorTile Dev Kit for one of our projects. As part of testing, I was trying to update the firmware using the ST BLE Sensor app but ran into problems. The firmware file was uploaded successfully but the board stopped responding. After waiting for a while, I tried the reset button but still no luck. I'm using the SensorTile mounted on the cradle expansion board in the kit. Is there a way to recover or reset this SensorTile? We have a ST-LINK/V2 available here but not any connectors that works with the cradle. Is it possible to use the ST-LINK or another way to recover this SensorTile? Any suggestion that you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,First of all, I apologize for my English level, I am not a native speaker. I hope you can understand me :) Explanation:1) PHYSICAL WORL: I have searched for information on the electronics behind the memories. In 32 bits microcontrollers, the memory digital circuits have 1 memory address per 4 bytes. In other words, if you would want to store a "char" in the byte 0, you will use the same "real or physical" memory address than if you would want to store other "char" in the byte 1. ( 4 bytes share the same physical memory address )2) SOFTWARE WORLD: When you store two "char" variables in memory and print their memory address using C language, you can see that they have different memory address. For example:char a = 'a'; // use memory address 0x00000000char b = 'b'; // use memory address 0x00000001My question is:¿What is going on?¿Are the memory addresses of the software different from the real ones?¿Are they "fictitious"?Thank you!

Hello,We have a touchgfx project. I design main screens and write board specific codes to project. My colleauge design some other screens for same project . Is there any way to import his screens to my touchgfx project (with protecting my screens) ?I use import GUI function from touchgfx IDE but it deletes my screen and import his screens. How can I solve this issue ?Regards

Hi,I am trying to interface an I2S MEMS microphone (SPH0645) with the STM32F446RE MCU for keyword spotting application. The mic produces PCM signal. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to start on receiving and processing the data from this MEMS mic. The resource regarding interfacing this particular microphone is hard to find on the internet. Could anyone please kindly guide me on this issue? Thanks in advance.

I selected the LQFP176 package, because the datasheet expresses a 32bit data bus. However, ST development tools are limiting me to 16bit. Has anybody taken the generated 16bit code and expanded it to 32bit or would I be wasting my time? Thank you for any feedback.

Why did they use such a strange new design for the ST-Link interface on this Nucleo board? The "older Nucleo/Discovery" ST-Link-Target connector (6 pin, e. g. CN11 on the Nucleo-LQFP64 boards) is missing. There is some "strange new mini size MIPI connector there" ... really very ugly with its 1.27mm design ... should this be the new world replacement? And then were is the 2x jumper block to switch between internal and extrenal target connection?... and somehow the schematics of this Nucleo board is not complete ... if I try to check the SWDIO line in this schematics, it is marked only exactly one time, at the target H723 uC there ... but the other end seems to be missin.... at least Adobe find function does not find it... .Maybe these STM32H730 / STM23H723 chips have some different new debug interface? (Is it possible to connect to these chips with the older style discovery / nucleo board st-link interfaces?).PS: Nasty side question: Why do they always place this Ethernet interface on th

Good day, I'm trying to interface the STM32F401RE with a DS3231 RTC module. The idea is to read from the time-keeping registers of the RTC module. Based on the code, I decided to set the 'hour' register to 6 and when the register is read, 6 is expected to be read. This code only works while single stepping in debug mode and not at runtime. I don't know why this is happening but if there's something I'm missing or getting wrong, I'd be glad to know. The source code is in the attached file below.

HelloI am basically designing an interrupter for plasma arc speaker. I have a small signal amplifier which I connect to STM32F746 and perform FFT to determine which note was played. Whole process takes about 2ms. My transformer works with 25khz. I want to turn it off and on again on the note frequency I want to play. For that I need to implement PWM repetition mode.signal will look like thisHowever I am not sure how to do that without software and making unnecessary delay to turn the timer off and on again. What is the best option to save processing time and achieve this kind of signaling ?

Hi,do you know if the STM32H745I-DISCO Board will ever be supported by TouchGFX. Or is there already an easy way to use TouchGFX with this board?

Looks like the Scheduler, SCH_*, have been replaced by the Sequencer, UTIL_SEQ_*. Does anyone know where there is detail description of the Sequencer, along with examples? Thanks,Mark

Hi,I need to write some data in the flash memory of my STM32H743ZI MCU, for example serial numberCan I write this data in something smaller than a whole flash sector ?Regards,Gabriel

I have set the jumpers as per the demonstration video for the device but I cannot get the in-built apps to activate. I am wanting to utilise the DAC input for the microphone and an ADC output for the headphone jack. I can only assume the in-built applications will not operate until programming software has been uploaded to the device. Please can anyone advise if I have the right pin configurations set. Is pins PA1 and PA5 for the microphone and pins PB6 and PB7 for the headphone jack?

Hello, I'm having troubles with a library in CI've made a library named "LedControl" divided in "LedControl.h" and "LedControl.c"So far the header file is like this:#ifndef SRC_CUST_LEDCONTROL_H_ #define SRC_CUST_LEDCONTROL_H_         #define LC_POINTER_LIST_LEN 255       // VAL1 VAL2 END ON/OFF TR1 TR0 PWMv FLOAT 32 CHANGE uint8_t WORD_IT[] = {0x00, 0x01, 0xFF, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; uint8_t WORD_IS[] = {0x03, 0x04, 0xFF, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; uint8_t WORD_TWENTY_MINUTES[] = {0x0D, 0x0E, 0x0F, 0x10, 0x11, 0x12, 0xFF, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; uint8_t WORD_TWENTYFIVE_MINUTES[] = {0x0D, 0x0E, 0x0F, 0x10, 0x11, 0x12, 0x13, 0x14, 0x15, 0x16, 0x17, 0xFF, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; uint8_t WORD_FIVE_MINUTES[] = {0x14, 0x15, 0x16, 0x17, 0xFF, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00};   //[... more array definitions]   void LC_transitionIn(

Using a STM32F091.I was thinking whether one could detect certain kind of boot / power issues where the VDD would be briefly interrupted, by buffering the VBAT with a sufficiently big capacitor, separated by a diode with low Vforward from VDD, so the cap won't get sucked dry by the rest of the circuit when VDD fails. Is this a common thing to do / makes sense? (given that the system cannot have a battery to permanently power VBAT)I also wonder what happens when I write to a backup register and inmidst of it, VDD fails. Is there a way to make use of the backup registers to detect boot loop / power instability issues reliably? Garbled register content would not help so much.I was thinking of a scheme like this to deal with that:I use 2 of the backup registers as a double buffer (i.e. for each next frame, the other one of the two gets written) for a time value (that I get from a connected I2C total runtime counter chip). I use a 3. register as an index as to which of the two is the cur

For a given application I am trying to control the main loop speed thorugh the ADC sampling rate. My objective is targeting a fast embedded control application so I plan to go in the 100kHz-10MHz range (yes, I am aware of the STM32H7 limitations for GPIO manipulation at high loop frequency). Relevant parts of my main.c are: MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_ADC2_Init();   HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc2);       while (1) {   g_MeasurementNumber++;   GPIOE->BSRR = (1<<1); //set to high while((ADC1->ISR == (0<<2))){ //wait for EOC }; g_ADCValue0 = ADC1 ->DR;   while((ADC2->ISR == (0<<2))){ //wait for EOC }; g_ADCValue = ADC2 ->DR;   GPIOE->BSRR = (1<<17); //set to low 1+16 }There, GPIOE registers are manipulated for generating a signal I can easily measure in the oscilloscope. ADC1 and ADC2 are configured for continuous acquisition with data override, and values i

I have a product using a 14-pin STM324 MZ79017—I am unable to find any technical literature on this IC. What type of component is this?

Hello,I was reading the reference manual of the STM32F091, in particular the RTC chapter. Then I looked at what the CubeIDE generated (set all to LL, not HAL) init code does.So it has this function SystemClock_Config() where all clocks are configured. There it :enables backup access (set DBP in PWR->CR)resets the backup domain (setting and then clearing BDRST in RCC->BDCR)sets the clock source to HSI (RTCSEL bits in BDCR), as I don't have an external clock crystalenables RTC (set RTCEN in RCC->BDCR)From what I took from the manual, 2. will clear the backup registers. So if I want to use them, among other things, as a communication method between an application and a bootloader, I need to modify that to not do that - if I determine, well, what exactly? That's still unclear to me.Will any part of the RTC stuff still be enabled after a sysreset / or even power off/on (while VBAT was still buffered)? I.e. can I check any of the register flags to determine that I do not need to do the

Hi, In the evaluation board of SPV1050 (STEVAL-ISV020V1), it is mentionned that the maximum voltage from the PV cell (VMP) is to be equal 9V, but there is no indication about the absolute values that I can be supported without damaging the board. I'm working with a PV cell having an open circuit voltage of 9.6V with a voltage at the maximum power point of 9.2V. Would you think under these conditions, the evaluation board will be damaged ? Thank you for your reply.Georgina

I have Pololu breakout containing a LSM6DS33 connected to a ESP32 module via I2C. INT1 is connected to GPIO15. I am driving Activity and Wake Up to INT1. The ESP32 picks up the interrupts reliably. I would like to know whether the LSM6DS33 is active or asleep after having received the interrupt. I read the WAKE_UP_SRC register to see the source of the interrupt. However, it almost always returns only FF_IA bit and Z_WU, and nothing other. I do not drive Free-fall to INT1. It returns the FF_IA bit even if the device is still. This is driving me crazy! I attach the simplified Arduino Sketch to help troubleshoot the problem.Your help would be much appreciated.Ben Zaaiman
