Hello everyone,I'm using TIM3 on my Nucleo H745. If it's correct this TIM gets fed from the CPU clock, so it runs at 480MHz. That's what I thought at least.Using these settings;htim3.Init.Prescaler = 48000;htim3.Init.Period = 10000;To my calculations this should be equal to 1 second.480.000.000 / 48.000 = 10.000 HzWhen setting the period to 10000, this means it should overflow every second, right? Not in my case. When hooking up 2 LEDs and setting their intervals to 20000 and 40000 you would expect LED1 to blink 2x in the time LED2 blinks 1x. They blink at almost the same rate, LED2 is just a little bit slower, which means my calculations are wrong. Can anyone spot the mistake? Thanks!

Hi,I am working on a project with a STM32 + ST25DV NFC tag + mobile app, I developed a bootloader that receives the new binary through FTM and it works well with the app we are developing (using the transceive API from Android), but we are having trouble making it work on IOS, the person that was developing the app does not have any experience with swift and the app is being developed in Flutter, using a plugin to translate the actions to native API (like the transceive), it is partially working but with some annoying limitations:The IOS NFC window is always on the front while the NFC transaction happens, not allowing to display any progress barThe IOS NFC section seems to have a timeout of around 30s, after that the sending process is interrupted, this is our major bottleneckI saw in the IOS version of the ST25 app that it allows the fw update demo, but I don't have the NFC demo kit now (we used only NFC04 and nucleo64 boards for development), I also searched online for a video showin

The 6.2 paragraph of document DocID029868 (Rev. 2), page 34, appears to be reporting incorrect information.Furthermore, pin PA4 seems to be connected to the speed reference (potentiometer) not to one of the DAC outputs as reported in the mentioned document.I'm using ihm08m1 board with nucleo-F401re.

Hi, when I want to generate code for an STM32H743ZI, a popup appears:"The Firmware Package (STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.3.0) or one of its dependencies required by the Project is not available in your STM32CubeMX Repository. Do you want to download this now ?"Sure enough I do, and then it ends with this error:"Error downloading the following files:stm32cube_fw_h7_v130.zip (Target directory already exists)"and"Unzip File : stm32cube_fw_h7_v130.zipProblem during Download and/or Unzip of selected Files"I run STM32CubeMX in admin mode on windows 10.What can be the problem? How do I solve it?Regards, Jack.

I'm using the LIS3DH. The Application Note AN3308 specifies a 90 mS delay time between configuration and reading data in the suggested procedure for performing a self test, (p57 of DocID18198 Rev 3). The delay is, "... for stable output".  Once ODR is set or FIFO enabled, is a delay required to insure stable data? If so, how long of a delay is adequate? 90 mS eats up a lot of power while the LIS3DH is just sitting there. Would 5 mS or 0 mS be OK?

Hello,Is it possible to uniquely identify a person using data generated by the wrist/arm gesture/movements from LSM6DSOTR installed as part of a wrist wearable?Does STM provide any SDKs to identify a person based on this data? RegardsShafi

Hi,I am using the NFC06-A1 with Nucleo-L476RG and I want to configure wakeup mode for NFC IC (with inductive tag detect mode) and also put the MCU into STOP2 mode. Once the MCU enters STOP 2 mode using this fucntion HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI) I can't receive any interrupt and no tag is detected.So in the code I did this :in rfalWakeUpModeStart() function :if( config == NULL ) { gRFAL.wum.cfg.period = RFAL_WUM_PERIOD_800MS; gRFAL.wum.cfg.irqTout = false; gRFAL.wum.cfg.swTagDetect = true; gRFAL.wum.cfg.indAmp.enabled = true; gRFAL.wum.cfg.indPha.enabled = false; gRFAL.wum.cfg.cap.enabled = false; gRFAL.wum.cfg.indAmp.delta = 2U; gRFAL.wum.cfg.indAmp.reference = RFAL_WUM_REFERENCE_AUTO; gRFAL.wum.cfg.indAmp.autoAvg = true; }in demoIni() functionbool demoIni( void ) { ReturnCode err; #if defined(STM32L476xx) if( (CoreDebug->DHCSR & CoreDebug_DHCSR_C_DEBUGEN_Msk) != 0) { verbose = true; } #endif ndefShowDemoUsage(); err = rfalNfcInitialize()

I've configured the SPI to work with DMA. The microcontroller is sending but is not reading. I have checked the configuration and I cannot see the problem. Can you see something strange in my code.I've tested this code in an STM32F429-DISCO board and works.This is the peripheral definition. #define SPI_BCC SPI1 #define SPI_BCC_CLK RCC_APB2Periph_SPI1 #define SPI_BCC_CLK_EN RCC_APB2PeriphClockCmd(SPI_BCC_CLK, ENABLE)     #define SPI_BCC_SCK_PIN GPIO_Pin_3 #define SPI_BCC_SCK_GPIO_PORT GPIOB #define SPI_BCC_SCK_GPIO_CLK RCC_AHB1Periph_GPIOB #define SPI_BCC_SCK_SOURCE GPIO_PinSource3 #define SPI_BCC_SCK_AF GPIO_AF_SPI1   #define SPI_BCC_MISO_PIN GPIO_Pin_4 #define SPI_BCC_MISO_GPIO_PORT GPIOB #define SPI_BCC_MISO_GPIO_CLK RCC_AHB1Periph_GPIOB #define SPI_BCC_MISO_SOURCE GPIO_PinSource4 #define SPI_BCC_MISO_AF GPIO_AF_SPI1   #define SPI_BCC_MOSI_PIN GPIO_Pin_5 #define SPI_BCC_MOSI_GPIO_PORT GPIOB #define SPI_BCC_MOSI_GPIO_CLK RCC_AHB1Periph_GPIOB #define

Hi, I would like to make some tests with the DSI Video Mode on the Stm32F769 MCU. Is the Disco board and display capable to support video mode and how can it be configured in CubeMX? If not possible with this display, is there another display compatible with the demo board to make some tests? Thanks Lukas

Hi. I have some troubles with example. IDE ver. 1.6 SBSFU ver. 2.4NUCLEO-H753ZI exampleSBSFU now have only SW4STM32 examples. In SW4STM32 IDE this examample build ok, without warnings and errors. Try to convert example to CubeIDE.Core project build ok, SBSFU project build ok, after that i try to build UserApp project, and i have this error:arm-none-eabi-gcc -z max-page-size=1 -o "UserApp.elf" @"objects.list" -l:se_interface_app.o -mcpu=cortex-m7 -T"../STM32H753ZITx.ld" --specs=nosys.specs -Wl,-Map="UserApp.map" -Wl,--gc-sections -static -Wl,--start-group -l:se_interface_app.o -Wl,--end-group -L../../../../2_Images_SBSFU/SW4STM32/STM32H753ZI-Nucleo_2_Images_SBSFU/Debug -Xlinker -L ../../../../Linker_Common/SW4STM32 --specs=nano.specs -mfpu=fpv5-d16 -mfloat-abi=hard -mthumb -Wl,--start-group -lc -lm -Wl,--end-groupc:\work\stm32cubeide_1.6.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bi

Hello. A have my custom board with STM32G431CBU microcontroller. Power domain on my board are shown in the picture:I want to measure the voltage on Vref+ pin. The analog domain settings of CubeMX are:The code for single ADC acquisition:HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); osDelay(1000); ADC_Data[0] = hadc1.Instance->DR; Vbat = ((float) __HAL_ADC_CALC_VREFANALOG_VOLTAGE(ADC_Data[0], ADC_RESOLUTION_12B)) / 1000;And it works, but the value of calculated Vbat is more then real value that i have measured by multimeter. The value of measuring error have direct dependency of measuring voltage:real Vref+_______measured Vref+2.2______________2.303.3______________3.45I tryed to set VREFBUF mode to "External reference", but this does not change anything. On both ("External reference" and "Disable") options the value of VREFBUF_CSR register is 0x2.I would be grateful if you can help me figure it out.

I have developed an embedded Linux board (microprocessor ARM Cortex-A5 core) which is connected through SPI port to a NUCLEO-NFC05A1. I want to detect tags and then transmit the interrupt event (aka the tag present) to the main board, on which the rfal lib (v.1.3.0) is running. Actually, everything works fine and tags are detected most of the times. Anyway, sometimes (I don't know why, it does not seem to be related to anything else), the nfc-poller demo stucks and drags all the board resources together (the maximum priority thread does not allow to make any other operation). I've tried to run the nfc-poller demo alone and it stucks itself (randomly) even if it is left to run without tags to be detected. To resume, nfc-poller demo works, but it has this bad feature of blocking itself and also blocking the main board. Adding watchdogs seem to be not so effective, because it is nearly impossible to know and detect where the software is stuck. Thank you

I get this compiler error in main.hUsing C and cubeMX autogenerated code

In project based on exampleRfalPoller.c from library ST25NFC_Embedded_Lib_ST25R3916 and X-NUXLEO-NFC06A1 board I have problem with detection NFC-V tags. After  rfalNfcvPollerInitialize();                                        /* Initialize RFAL for NFC-V */ rfalFieldOnAndStartGT();                                       /* As field is already On only starts GT timer */ err = rfalNfcvPollerCheckPresence( &invRes );                            &n

The max ADC clock is 50MHz but the source can be divided by up to 256 so there is no need to limit the source frequency@Khouloud ZEMMELI

If you have an example, please help.

Hello,I am trying to optimize the current consumption in tag detection mode for my battery reader (based on ST25R95).I have followed the application note for keeping current at minimum with tag detection as suggestred below:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000BsxIdSAJ/approach-for-low-power-design1)In the AN (section 2.4 "Using LFO frequency settings to reduce power consumption") says the the LFO at 4kHz will reduce energy, but I have tested and energy is not reduced. As far as I know the LFO clk is the same for different frequencies, the change is for the presecaler. My question: ¿Does a lower LFO freqquency really save energy?2)I know the tuning for the antenna is very important for reaching good performances at reading level, but I would like to know how a good tuning impact on the current consumption.3)Other option I am assessing is to decrease the OSC and DAC start time (recommended to be 3 ms). How risky is to decrease this time under 3ms?----FYI:I am currently using RF

Hi,I am using LIS2DW12 Accelerometer for tilt angle detectionIs it possible to detect the tilt angle(A and B) in both directions as shown in figure and trigger the interrupt event in wakeup interrupt mode?It is possible in 6d orientation mode, but I need wakeup interrupt mode since I have to detect the tilt angles from 10 degrees. Please suggest a suitable solution.

I'm using the STM32H735G DK eval board. Was able to load my code and use the FDCAN ok, when I went on to get the SD-Card going, I found that when reading a block the first 12 bytes would not be transferred. Since I have two boards and so tried the second one, and the result was the same. But switching back to the first one could not get ST-Link connect to the target.Message: Error in initializing ST-LINK device. Reason: (4) No device found on target.Going back to the other board the situation is now the same. There were no changes to the hardware or any jumper settings. The boards are powered via ST-Link. Both boards where disconnected with the MCU stopped at a breakpoint and after that didn't work any more.Any ideas?

The code from the 1.16 example builds fine in the EWARM. It writes the source blocks to the terminal, but as I see in the debugger, it fails to encrypt the input block. That times out as it fails to return a HAL_OK status. /* Start decrypting aCyphertext, the decrypted data is available in aDecryptedtext */  if (HAL_CRYPEx_AES(&CrypHandle, aCyphertext, AES_TEXT_SIZE, aDecryptedtext, TIMEOUT_VALUE) == HAL_OK)  {   /* Display decrypted Data */   Display_DecryptedData(CBC, 128, AES_TEXT_SIZE);  }  else    {   /* Processing Error */   Error_Handler();  }I have read all the how-to info in the examples. Has anyone else run into this issue and found a solution?

I have used STM32L151xE in a board and drove a glass LCD with it and it works without any problem. But in its datasheet, in two sections, it is mentioned that, STM32L151xE is not support LCD and just STM32L152xE can support it. Is there any explanation for this?I am sure that the IC is original.
