Hi, I will use STM32H7B3RI in our final product and its not available in TouchGFX so I need to develop a project with STM32CubeMX. I have STM32H7B3I-DK now and I can create projects and run those on development kit. TouchGFX generates its own STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE files so I can generate code and run it. I created new STM32CubeMX project and did exact same settings with the project that generated by TouchGFX. I compared both generated files and added missing files like BSP drivers. When I compile project generated by TouchGFX it gives a big .bin file (~2 GB) but when I compile my project it gives small .bin file (~1 MB), also I can’t upload my project to board. What am I missing? Is there any guide to create a project with CubeMX for any board?

Hi thereI can't find out how to connect my sensor to an arduino uno. Tried both with sample codes from SparkFun and i2C example code. It is connected in the following way:SCL -> SCLSDA -> SDAGND -> GNDVDD -> 5VI also tried with 2K ohm pull-up resistors, but didn't work.I hope someone can help :)

CubeMX has a number of templates for discovery boards but there doesn't seem to be one available for the ST25R3916 Discovery

Hi,it seems that the current STM32F4 HAL manual (UM1725, rev.6) is incomplete regarding the U(S)ART drivers, especially for the extension drivers: according to the source code (FW 1.26), there are UART extensions for receiving with idle line detection (which is what I was looking for :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes: ), but those extension functions aren't mentioned in the user manual.I assume that the functions work and the documentation simply doesn't mention them. Hey,I'm programming with the STM32F415 MCU and discovered that the FLASH_CR_ERRIE declaration is missing in the CMSIS files. Is this a known issue or even intended? If it is not intended, I assume I can safely add the missing declaration? (I never had to touch them, so I'm careful about that.)If there is a reason why it's missing, could someone please point that out to me?Thank you in advance and best regards,Moritz

Hi, I successfully used a HAL library to drive a TFT ili9341 LCD and tried drawing a line on the LCD by touching the LCD and the code was perfectly accurate then I rewrote the code with registers. the touch is not accurate now and when I touch the LCD the line shows up at a point far from the place which is touched I attached the code. what might be the problem? the pins are defined with maximum frequency. #include "ILI9341_Touchscreen.h" #include "stm32f10x.h" #include "main.h"   //Internal Touchpad command, do not call directly uint16_t TP_Read(void) { uint8_t i = 16; uint16_t value = 0;   while(i > 0x00) { value <<= 1;   TP_CLK_PORT->BSRR=TP_CLK_PIN; TP_CLK_PORT->BRR=TP_CLK_PIN; if ((TP_MISO_PORT->IDR&TP_MISO_PIN)!=0) { value++; }   i--; };   return value; }   //Internal Touchpad command, do not call directly void TP_Write(uint8_t value) { uint8_t i = 0x08;   TP_CLK_PORT->BRR=TP_CLK_PIN

How is the startup-file generated? As far as I understand, the symbols from the linker-script (_sdata, _edata, _sbss, _ebss and _sidata) are used to copy the ".data" section from the LMA (Flash) to the VMA (RAM), to initialize the ".bss" section with zeroes and to locate the stack. This is done by the "Reset_Handler" function whose start-adress is placed in the ".isr" section. According to the map-file, the code of the "Reset_Handler" function is placed in the ".text" section.According to my understanding, the labels (adresses) of the linker-file are required to generate the "Reset_Handler" function. After that, the code of the function is placed in the ".text" section of the linker file. But this will change the follwing labels (adresses). So the adresses used for the generation of the startup-file might have changed and the startup-file might be incorrect. Is ".text" space required for the "Reset-Handler" calculated in advance and reserved when the linker-file is generated? Or is it a

It is flight controller board for drone. In the schematic is written it is L3GD20H. Is it correct?I think it is fake chip. Also output data was not good in changing temperature environment.

I've been watching the project creation of an AI application in STM32Cube.AI. What I am looking for is a tutorial on how to use the  X-CubeAIto run inference on data that are feed to the GPIO pins of STM32 MCU's. So far, I did not see STM giving tutorial on how to do this. Especially on how to use the function generated by  X-CubeAI. Can someone give an example on how to do this?

Hello to all. What are the advantages of one algorithm over another PLL vs CORDIS? Is there a description of the methods for setting the coefficients.

Hello,We want to transfer a project from STM32F7 to STM32MP157C ( cortex M4 side). To do that we need an external RAM (arround 20 Mbytes). Is there a way to map an external RAM on cortex M4 side with cubeMX ?Best regards,Arnaud

I was happily developing some ADC+DMA routines for my stm32f205 and suddenly my MCU started to freeze.I am able to connect, erase, and flash binaries with stm32CubeProgrammer trough an ST-link.After erasing multiple times my STM32F205 with stlink and STM32cubeprogrammer, i am using as debugging code a simple blink programm autogenerated with cubeMX with: internal clock SW debuggingand my led pin. This program is also failing to execute.(it does execute no problem in my nucleo-f207 board)When launching the debugging session i realised the HAL_Delay() function is leading the code to a weird flash non mapped in .elf memory location.  __________________________________________________________________________________systick before hal_delay():systick after werid jump to memory and debugger looses track of where the code is running nvic_iser4 shows that value when everything goes south.. if i comment out the hal_delay function the blink works....

I am working with demo board STM32G474E-EVAL and try to run example project in which board works in Source mode. When I connect the power bank (HyperJuice Power Bank 130W USB-C) to the USB-C, the board starts constantly sending messages about its capabilities. In this case, the power bank does not answer anything and charging does not start. The power bank works properly with other chargers and it can work in Source and Sink modes using various power profiles. Can you explain what is happening and how I can start the Source mode so that the board starts charging the power bank.

I am using an STM32H742 MCU and have a timer with an output connected to the output compare function. The timer is triggered from another timer and set to One Pulse Mode. Basically I want the output to go high and stay high once the compare value is hit after being triggered by the other counter. That all seems to be working just fine. Now, I want to be able to "reset" the timer so that the output goes back low and the timer can be triggered again. It is unclear to me what exactly I need to do to accomplish this. I can force the output value to be low by setting it to forced inactive mode, but it is not clear if once I switch it back to active on match if it will immediately go high or wait to be triggered again.

I am using STM32F103C8T6.

For example, there are 3 timers (Timer 1, 2, 3).I want to set like below: Timer 1 : MasterTimer 2 : Slave of Timer1Timer 3 : Slave of Timer2When I checked the waveform after setting similarly to the above, it seemed that timer2 could not trigger timer3 properly. So, I wonder if it is possible to trigger serially using timers.

Hi,I use STM32L496RGT6 with own bootloader. If I start IWDG in bootloader and periodically reset it it is work good. If I jump to application and call HAL_IWDG_Refresh(..), function doesn't refresh IWDG and IWDG reset mcu. I tried call MX_IWDG_Init() after HAL_IWDG_Refresh.. or only HAL_IWDG_Refresh but doesn't have effect. Please help how to resolve this problem. I would like start IWDG in bootloader end periodically refresh it, after jumping into application fw continue refreshing IWDG counter if it is possible.Thank you, best regards

This is 3 year old question coming back again in a hope that the way was found or newly implemented to turn any STM32 example project into the configurable one to use the advantage of STM32CubeMX tool. Again, as in the past, I don't see project configuration files in all the examples I looked into and once I imported the example project, the STM32CubeIDE does not even have means to launch CubeMX ... this icon only appears when a new project created using CubeMX...Please anybody who knows any way to make the provided examples into the CubeMX configurable project without a thousand of clicks to manually match the newly create project with a working example, please let people know .Thanks in advanceVlad

This is a spiritual followup to this post: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkYuH/rtc-daylight-saving-time-stm32f3-discoverySo I do get which functions to use for daylight saving, and how to BCK bit remembers if I already changed to DST or not. But:Since I have to call either function manually, how do I compute "second Sunday in March" or "last Sunday in March"? If I check the date every (running) minute, how can I count Sundays (in particular if the board was powered off during the first Sunday)? Do I need to revert to time() etc.?Wouldn't frequent checks drain performance? Is there no better way, e.g., by using callbacks? Should I set alerts for the DST dates? If the BCK bit has to be set again after each boot, how do I know if it should be set of not? By comparing the current date against the DST dates? But then I could power down the board just before DST start, and power on again after it. Then the BCK bit would be set, but the time would not have been adjusted, which i

Hello, our company is currently using a Spansion/Cypress FM4 MCU to control 3 3-phase BLDC motors with TLE7185-1E drivers. However, after the Infineon acquisition, it seems that the product family is slowly getting phased out over the next years and it is not recommended to use it for any new product. Therefore we are looking for an alternative and we really like the capabilities of the STM32F7 family, but all of them max out at 2 specialized motor control PWM modules. We would very much like to use a single chip solution to reduce the complexity of the PCB and software as well as allow easy OTA firmware updates. That is why we were wondering if there are other product families/products with a similar feature set but with at least three motor control PWM modules instead.

Hello to everyone. I am working on the stm32f429 board. I set up the RTC for every second. In RTC interrupt, I am trying to assign the hour minute second information to the variable and display it on the screen. There is also one more interrupt that I use to extract the data I get from the sensor. When there is information from the sensor, it enters this external interrupt. And when it enters this hack, the RTC breaks down. Never again goes into RTC interrupt. I could not figure out what could be the reason for this. Thank you from now.

Hi allFirst of all I'm working with STM32F469I-DISCO board and I'm using TouchGFX Designer- 4.15.0.I have the next problemMy application have 4 different screens, I'm storing in the model general information, and I can access to it without any problem in three of this screen but in one of them I can't.I've been using the same code and even trying to access at the same data stored in the model but has been impossible. In this screen the program crash but not in the view but in the presenter, the next is the sequence of my problem:First step:Here as you can see below, I'm in a view trying to get _ptr_system from model, so I call to presenter->getsystem();ScreenSetSubsystemView::ScreenSetSubsystemView() :scrollListSubsystemSelectedCallback(this, &ScreenSetSubsystemView::scrollListSubsystemSelectedHandler),_ptr_system (0) {    touchgfx_printf("\n\nEntrando: Constructor clase ScreenSetSubsystemView\n");    touc

Hello,I'm a beginner in FreRTOSS but I've already made basics codes and tutorials. Actually, I'm trying to do two different tasks. The first one is an ADC acquisition and the second one is a printf of the ADC value.But my issue is that the ADC function run only one time. So me thinks I need to make an interruption in the infinite loop, but I don't know how doing that. Can you help me?Thank you in advanceRespectfullyBastien
