I'm seeing shoot through on the coil drives for the STSPIN32F0A custom implementation in the attached schematic. The attached scope shot has these channels:CH1: 24VCH2: CoilCH3: Low Side GateCH4: High Side GateYou can see the 700ns of deadtime when the high side gate drive drops from 35V to 24V. If the gate was just held up capacitively, the diode should be conducting there bringing it to near zero, but instead it is perfectly flat, not held up capacitively but appears driven. I wonder if this if this relates to the bootstrap capacitor somehow buggering the high side gate drive. I’m not familiar with these bootstrap circuits. How does one determine the correct bootstrap capacitance? Also, I noticed the STEVAL-3201 high side gate isn't boosted to 35V but instead is 24V or 0V.

In function HAL_DMA_IRQHandler() the lines 872, 914, 949 modify the hdma->State variable after __HAL_UNLOCK(hdma) has been called.STM32 HAL is full of bugs, especially race condition related ones, but this one seems to be more urgent, because multiple instances of the DMA are used together with many other peripherals in different combinations. I'm reporting this for F7, but drivers for other series also should be checked for the same.

Dear All, is there a possibility to implement another driver for other commercial reader/writer like the uTrust 3720 into the Software STSW-ST25PC001, or a way to implement it by myself with the STSW-ST25PC002?Or where can I purchase the Feig controller?Thank you in advance.

Hi, I've got a STEVAL-MKI173V1 board hooked up to my uC. I ported over the driver from:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/tree/master/lsm303agr_STdC I'm able to read valid magnetometer values but almost always get 0's from the accelerometer. Here is the code: uint8_t whoamI, rst; int pDataM[3]; int pDataA[3]; int16_t pDataARaw[3]; int16_t pDataMRaw[3]; float acceleration_mg[3]; float magnetic_mG[3]; uint32_t ret;   whoamI = 0; ret = lsm303agr_xl_device_id_get(COMPASS_ACCL_ADDR, &whoamI);   //if ( whoamI != LSM303AGR_ID_XL ) // while (1); /*manage here device not found */   whoamI = 0; ret = lsm303agr_mag_device_id_get(COMPASS_MAG_ADDR, &whoamI);   //if ( whoamI != LSM303AGR_ID_MG ) //while (1); /*manage here device not found */     ret = lsm303agr_mag_reset_set(COMPASS_MAG_ADDR, PROPERTY_ENABLE);       do { lsm303agr_mag_reset_get(COMPASS_MAG_ADDR, &rst); } while (rst);   &nbs

Is it possible to run the firmware from an external SDRAM?There is an example for h750, but it does not work with h747.I go to the address I need, but I get a hardfault into bootloader for first command into external sdram

How can I determine the offset values? After determining I will use the following example.https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/lsm6dso_STdC/example/lsm6dso_offset.c

Hi there, is it possible with any of the currently manufactured ToF sensors of the VL53L* family and the software that is available to private customers to obtain a depth image, or the raw sensor values for each SPAD to reconstruct a depth image?I experimented with a VL53L1X sensor by Pololu with the ported API for Arduino Uno R3, which only gives me a single range in millimeters, which from the API code appears to be a median of the valid ranges of all SPADs. I want to create difference depth images to the previous measurement, for which I would need access to all range values and do the aggregation (min, max, avg, median, ...) myself. But it seems that the median is acquired from the sensor via I2C already, not calculated in the accessible API code.I am aware that I can use the programmable ROI to create a depth image of medians over 4x4 SPAD regions of interest, but this would take too long (time budget in the application is ~100 ms per measurement) and is greatly reducing the resol

I wonder if someone can provide me with an example how to use the watchdog in a STM32F767.I have tried the following code but it don't get a reset!static WWDG_HandleTypeDef hwwdg;static bool wwdg_inited = false;static void EnableWDG (void){ if ( ! wwdg_inited ) {  hwwdg.Instance = WWDG;  hwwdg.Init.Prescaler = WWDG_PRESCALER_8;  hwwdg.Init.Window = 64;  hwwdg.Init.Counter = 100;  hwwdg.Init.EWIMode = WWDG_EWI_DISABLE;  if (HAL_WWDG_Init(&hwwdg) == HAL_OK)  {    if (HAL_WWDG_Refresh(&hwwdg) == HAL_OK)      wwdg_inited = true;  } }}It seems that the the API has been changed. The HAL_WWDG_Start() no longer exists...

Hello,I use a STM32WB55RGV7 microcontroller. Doing the hardware layout I'm confused about the antenna filter: - I can't get the band pass filter LFB182G45CGFD436 in small quantities, which is used in the P-Nucleo-WB55 - the low pass filter LFL212G45TC1A007, wich is used in AN5165, is end of life in about one year - AN5165 uses also another low pass filter MLPF-WB55-01E3, which makes a part of the other componets unnessesaryCould you give me a suggestion which of these filters I can use in my design reasonably future-proof?Thanks in advance.Holger

Hello,I'm working on a project with a B-L475E-IOT01A2 board and a STM32L475 MCU. I am generating a code using CubeMX and the X-CUBE-BLE-1 software pack and when I build my project, I get this error : Warning : Invalid project path: Missing project folder or file: \App1b\B-L475E-IOT01A2 for Source pathI really don't understand how can a file or a folder be missing when I'm building the project ...Thanks in advance for your help,Mohamed

is it possible? anybody do it?

https://eds.st.com/dcdc/I want 9-30V to 8V and I don't have any 3.3V voltage in my circuit. Is it okay if I don't connect anything here?

I have the same problem as described and unanswered here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000IUzefSAD/nucleo-h745ziq-drawing-current-spikes-from-usb-power-port-producing-noisy-5v i.e. bursts of current spikes each 18 ms.The particular board is Nucleo STM32H743ZIT6, old chip revision Y.It does no go away even when holding the reset button. Not even when the st-link is kept in reset by installing SB107 and the ethernet PHY is held in reset by removing SB177. There is no SMPS on the board.I measured with two different oscilloscopes, either with voltage probe between Vdd and Vss as well as with a current probe (on a short wire jumper across the Idd header). I tried powering the board from USB or from a benchtop power supply. I tried heating up and cooling down the MCU, but the pattern never changes. The same pulse sequence repeats every 18 ms.Is it some kind of bootloader or a debugging interface that is trying to establish a connection?I would ignore it if it did not make any d

Hi,I am following the guide lines to move some functions from flash to ITCM .1st I modified the linker file , then add itcm section parameters as extern variables in main file and after that I copied this function code after start up from flash to itcm section and finaly used section attribute to tell the linked to move this function to itcm section.Always I get a hard fault at exiting from the moved function.after some investigations I found that the called function push {lr} only when it's called on the other hand at the end of the function it pop {r4,r7,pc} and hard fault is caused at this point.If I don't move this function to itcm section it will push {r4,r7,lr} and pop {r4,r7,pc} and will not cause any fault.If I modified the stack so it pops the correct values in pc , it didn't cause hard fault.in the generated list file I found that it push {r4,r7,lr} which is not consistent with actual assembly.code is compiled from c with g3 and o0 options for debugging and optimizations.How

Hi Sir/Madam,I'm trying to compile x-cube-classb-v2-3-0 STM32G081B_Eval project in IAR 8.40.1 but it giving below linker error.Error[Lp015]: section placement failure: overcommitted content in [0x2000'0020-0x2000'0028] It is compiling fine with IAR 8.32.3 but with IAR 8.40.1 not working. STL 2.3.0 tested with IAR 8.32. I would like to know changes need to done in the STL testcase in order to work with IAR 8.40.1.Please help to resolve this error?

Hi,I am designing a PCB board and use LIS2DH12/LIS3DH to wake up the processor. I will use I2C mode (CS pin should be connected to high) and SA0 pad connected to voltage supply (vdd) to get the device address as 0011001b. I see CS is at input high impedance status and SA0 is at internal pull-up status. I found a Sparkfun example and it connected CS pin to voltage supply via a 10k resistor, as well as SA0 pin. May I connect CS pin and SDO/SA0 pin together to the VDD via a 10k resistor as shown below? Or, it would be better to connect CS pin to VDD via a 10k resistor, and directly connect SA0 pin to VDD because it has an internal pull-up resistor?Thank you very much.Best regards,Tang

Is commercial product part # supposed to match exactly with the finished goods part# in its basic part (USBLC6-2P6), would you explain the finished product code with “/J? means in this case?

would you check and explain what is different in between USBLC6-2P6 and USBLC6-2P6/J

I'm working on a project that requires USB_OTG_FS and USB_DEVICE as MSC; I've managed to hook up the SD card to the USB_DEVICE layer and the HAL_SD_ReadBlocks works fine and I can even play back music from the SD Card via the MSC interface. However the HAL_SD_WriteBlocks gives me a buffer underrun error; and the HAL_SD_WriteBlocks_DMA would work, but it corrupts files; I assume that's cuz I would have to wait a little for the transfer to complete:My question is: how would I go about doing that?The SDIO is in 4 bit Wide Bus mode and the microcontroller is an STM32F405RGThanks!
