Hello there, I am actually new in coding STM32 boards. I am currently working on an STM32 F746G-DISCO. i am using the "LCD_UsrLog ((char *)" to print messages on the LCD tft screen. I am wondering if there some high level function that enables me to clear the messages I show (only messages and not the totality of the screen.Thank you in advance

Hi,I am planning to make subGHz Border router by using Contiki border router example. For Internet, I would like to integrate the Wifi, GSM and Ethernet. I don't want to use Rpi or Beagle bone. I am planning to use STm32 and make my own IPV6 Internet router. Is there any design notes available? I am going to integrate subGHz radio to main STM32 with SPI for receiving the IpV6 UDP packets. Extract the data. Connect to internet using GSM/wifi/ethernet. prepare the Json and send it to cloud using MQTT. Is my understanding is correct?Any suggestions.

Hi,I have issues to get the source PDO capabilities by STUSB4500. My power source has 4 source PDOs as below:5V, 3A9V, 3A15, 3A20, 3ABut I most time got below:5V, 4.19A9V, 2.88A15, 3A20, 3AVerifying the PD message registers, I got: 0x30 1  2  3  4  5  6  7     8  9  a  b  c  d  e  f 00 66 07 7D 4B 1A EC 20   D1 02 00 2C B1 04 00 2C 41 06 00 ED F1 E2 0C 00   00 00 00 00 00 18 E3 00I picked up the message register data as below0x33 7D 4B 1A EC <---  PDO0 data is stored here temporary0x37 20 D1 02 00 <---  PDO1 data is stored here temporary0x3B 2C B1 04 00 <---  This is 15V, 3A for PDO20x3F 2C 41 06 00 <---  This is 20V, 3A for PDO3I think my register reading may not be fast enough, but from USB-C PD sniffer, I cannot find any PD message that can overwrite the register 0x33 to 0x3A. I'm working on a project based on STM32F769ii MCU with external Flash via Qaud-SPI and 480x800 DSI LCD(no onboard GRAM). I have successfully integrated TouchGFX into my project however I see unexpected artefacts with the image widgets. Box widgets are drawn correctly. I use a button in my project to invalidate the image and box widgets to force them to be redrawn by doing so image widgets colour is wrong 80% of the times with no issues with the box widget.TouchGFX is set up for double buffering with each buffer located in a separate bank on the SDRAM chip. moving the image files into the internal flash didn't solve the issue. I also tried RGB888 and RGB556 configurations, the system behaves the same. The first image is what I'm expecting to see and the second image is what is depicted on the LCD.Any idea how I can fix this issue?

Hi.I want to write desktop application using STM32CubeProgrammer API to load FUS and stack to STM32WB. But in documentation I can`t find any mentioning about how to start FUS, update FUS and load stack.Or does the API do not give this opportunity?

Hello,I've a strange problem with CubeIDE 1.6.0, there's no binary or hex file output even if the corresponding outputs are activated under MCU post build outputs. Any ideas what might be the issue there?Regards

I'm trying to find a schematic diagram for the Nucleo board with the L412 processor, but can't track it down. I've looked in the User Manual for this product (UM2206 rev 5) where I would expect it to find it but it isn't in there. I'm not sure if this is the best user manual as it seems rather generic, but it is the closest I can find. I find it easier to trace through links etc on a schematic rather than search through all the tables in the user manual. Thanks for any help.

Hi,I started importing X-CUBE-SUBG2 software in to STM32cubeIDE 1.6.0. I am getting lot of errors when I compiled for Nucleo-F401re. Binaries works as explained in user manual. But, whenever I import the project, I am getting errors. It looks like tools issue. Any idea?Naveen

Hi All,I am trying to work out wiring for my discovery board with an ILI9488 TFT Display (MIPI-DBI 16 bit) and as I was going through Discovery board schematics for reference.  I checked the default board configuration in STM32CubeMx but the RGB565 (16) pinouts don't match with the one shown in schematics. For example:In the RGB data pins only G2 - G7 || R3 to R7 || B3 to B7 are configured. Although these 16 pins matches the number of data pins on my display controller, does the RGB565 defines somewhere as to which bits from RG & B will be missing? (Sry I just cant find RGB565 standard anywhere)The LCD schematics above has Tearing Effect (TE) pin which isn't mapped in LTDC GPIO. How is this pin configured ?  Other then that, my TFT display is missing the HSYNC and VSYNC signals as the ILI9488 is configured in MIPI - DBI (16 bit) mode. Is there a way to configure LTDC without these signals? Below is a pinout for this display .. just need to figure out how to map them to ST

Hello,I wonder if it's possible to use the CubeMX user parameters or generated constants within CubeMX itself. For example, the FMC configuration allows to calculate the origin and size of a given memory, let's say SDRAM. The LTDC configuration needs the address of the frame buffer(s). Now, it would be great if the FMC values can be used within the LTDC configuration to set the frame buffer to e.g. the beginning of the SDRAM.If it's not possible to use the values directly, can it be achieved by user constants? For example, defining a user constant in FMC which uses/collects the generated FMC values, and passing the user constant to the LTDC configuration? This would enable having some kind of automatic configuration between multiple peripherals - you only have to set the corresponding symbols instead of absolute values which might change between projects.Regards

So I bought STM32F769I Discovery Kit but only to find there is no USB connector provided to access the MCU USB FS peripheral. It only provide for USB HS, why so?How can then I do verification on the USB FS peripheral of the MCU?

STM32L073RZWe are entering the BL via boot0. The STM32Cube Programmer software sees the USB port but when I try to connect, the part resets out of the bootloader.Appreciate any ideas.ThanksRich

Hi I’m hardware engineer and are about to develop a NFC product using a ST25R3916. I have bought evaluation kit X-Nucleo-NFC06A1 and have designed my circuit based on this evaluation board with same component selection.I have some question regarding the board. When the board are using low power mode with capacitance wake-up function I expected CSI and CSO where used together with the capacitance antenna on the evaluation board to wake up the system. However it seams from my point of view, that the added capacitance antenna are not used in this case and “only? the main 4 turns antenna. The reason for my findings are because I have unmounted R200 and R202. Furthermore have I cuttet the CSI and CSO traces on the board. The board still wake up by using low power mode capacitance wake up when a MIFARE or ICODE card comes near the antenna. The reading length are roughly 4 cm. However on my project the reading length are roughly 1cm. Furthermore would it be helpful to know if it is poss

Hy i wanted to ask how i can set the clockspeed on my Device tree so the USART3 will work with 10MB/s my device tree looks at them moment like this:&usart3 { pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep", "idle"; pinctrl-0 = <&usart3_pins_b>; pinctrl-1 = <&usart3_sleep_pins_b>; pinctrl-2 = <&usart3_idle_pins_b>; uart-has-rtscts; status = "okay";};at the moment is is on automatic. I wanted to try it out with the CubeMX but when i want to set the Paramter settings on the Linux context it always tells me that there is no configuration.

good afternoon!I can’t read the FAULT state when the specified load limit is exceeded. the oscilloscope shows that the signal does not drop to a logical zero.my board

On page 130, just above Figure 25 the paragraph references Figure 25 twice. Either there is a missing figure or there is an extra reference. The coverage of these requirements is shown in Figure 25 for standard I/Os, and in Figure 25 for5 V tolerant I/Os.

Hello there,I'm looking for an official STM32 Nucleo-64 development board (probably mb1136) reference schematic diagram. So I can design my own product based on that.I found some schematic on Digikey and Arrow or my team can also do but it would be great to have from st officially. Thanks for looking into it

Hello everybody,I am using the NUCLEO-L476RG to send simple ACII text over UART (RS232 adapter) or USB CDC as a virtual COM port. UART communication is working seamlessly but when I use the USB CDC library functions from STM there is hapenning something strange I cannot explain:I am sending in regular intervalls ASCII-tesxt in the follwoing format: ABP;***;***;***\nThe * stands for different numbers. normally I would see this kind of text flow on a terminal like hterm:ABP;***;***;***\nABP;***;***;***\nABP;***;***;***\n... and so onbut with the USB CDC usage I see occasionally this:ABP;***;***;***\nABP;ABP;***;***;***\nABP;***;***;***\nABP;***;***;***\nABP;ABP;***;***;***\nwhen I halt the debugger to check if my character array is corrupted, it isn't. So my assumption is that there is something not working correctly with the USB CDC device library from STM. This is the code, that gets invoked when I transmit the ASCII-text:sprintf(Communication.measure,"ABP;%ld;%ld;%ld\n",Patient.Systol

Hello All,I'm working on PWM on SPC560B54 - Dis by importing and using example source code "SPC560Bxx_RLA PWM-ICU Test Application for Discovery"I can generate PWM signal with 800kHz and 400kHz frequency but could not change the Pulse width of every pulse I'm generating. In order to control ws2812 addressable LED, PWM needs to be generated with 60% and 30% duty cycle simultaneously. I tried to generate PWM with two width simultaneously but sometimes one pulse is missed or generated extra. From datasheet ws2812 needs data in 800kHz and 400kHz with 24bits of "1"code(60%) and "0"code(30%) for one led./*************************************************************************************************/ #define LED_CNT 1 #define RED 1 #define GREEN 0 #define BLUE 2   uint8_t led_buffer[LED_CNT][3],i;     void glow_led(void) { uint16_t led_no; uint8_t led_color,one=1; uint8_t bit; for(led_no = 0; led_no<LED_CNT; led_no++) { for(led_color=0; led_color<3; led_color++)

Im new to SPC studio and worked with PWM.In order to control ws2812b we require a PWM to glow ledstrip. No examples are there for above condition. If there kindly share or help with it.Regards,AK

I have a chip with 8 pins, but I could find the start sign for pins order, should I start from left-bottom or left-upward corner?

I have a problem where my SPI clock produce 16bit, where I already set it to 8bit. I am not using any HAL driver, but I am learning from online course to develop my own driver from scratch.I have a problem at SPI master slave.The program is like this:1. nucleo(master) will send 0x50 to arduino(slave)2. when arduino received the 0x50, It will send back 0xF5 to nucleo.I check the arduino code, it does transmit the 0xF5, just I dont know why the MISO just echoing back what MOSI has sent.Example: MOSI sent 0x50, then MISO just send back 0x50. In this case, the master can send the data to the slave, and the slave can receive. Just the slave cannot send data to master.Why my MISO line reflects back what the MOSI sent? It should send other data. Below is the result from my logic analyzer Then, below is my SPI send data code:void SPI_SendData(SPI_RegDef_t *pSPIx, uint8_t *pTxBuffer, uint32_t Len){     while(Len > 0)  {

I have used the Device Configuration Tool to set up an SPI1 peripheral on PB3, PB4, PB5 with manual control of the chip select, and polled (not interrupt driven). Writes to SPI slave chips registers execute without error, but register reads give a HAL_TIMEOUT error in HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive() because the RXNE flag (data in fifo) is never set.The clock is enabled to the SPI and I can read/write SPI registers. CR1, CR2, SR values look sensible. I have not yet tried different pins, or SPI2.Has this been tried, and can someone point to a known working example?Unfortunately, the SPI examples that ST provide don't build (at least for me, with Eclipse), but in any event they are special cases: two processor chips connected, one as master and one as slave, with no chip select. A real example (e.g. talkig to an accelerometer chip) is missing.
