Hello, I am using SPC58EC-Disp board. Core2 is already active and has timer interrupts. I need to set a timer interrupt in Core 0. I am trying use PIT0 and PIT0 configuration is done by Core2 so I think I only need to do PIT0 Channel settings. Two cores are using same vector table but different IVOR tables, I can set PIT0 Channel2 interrupt for Core2 from Core0, Core2 handles that interrupt very well. When I set same interrupt for Core0 from Core0 it goes to IVOR1. Let me explain this way. If I change first red area like 0x2000 | 4 to set interrupt for Core2, interrupt and Core0 work well or if I don't enable interrupt in second red area interrupt doesn't work but Core0 is working well. If I don't do these changes and let it be like in the picture(interrupt is enabled for Core0) it is going to IVOR1 handler always. https://community.st.com/s/feed/0D50X00009XkXkKSAV here Erwan suggests to look LR register. Its 0x00008000. What did I do wrong? And how can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

I'm working on test code for a bare metal STM32G0C1 project. I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.9.0 and created the project with the included STMCubeMX tool. When digging around in the generated code to understand I2C I found that the function HAL_I2C_MspInit(hi2c) is only weakly defined in stm32g0xx_hal_i2c.c. For other peripherals, such as UARTs, there's a HAL_***_MspInit() where the GPIO are configured. Even supplied sample projects have a HAL_I2C_MspInit(). Instead I find this heart stopping note in stm32g0xx_hal_i2c.c:"(+) User must Implement HAL_I2C_MspInit() function in which he configures     all related peripherals resources (CLOCK, GPIO, DMA, IT and NVIC )."Whoa horse!! What's up with burying such an important little comment deep in the generated source code (that I'm not suppose to muck with and assume is good to go right out of the chute)? I hope you can tell me the error of my ways. Otherwise, I'm going to assign the dreaded "b" word (as in insect) to this ti

Hi, I have compiled the kernel source files and prepared the install artifacts as described in README.HOW_TO.txt, but when I am copying the modules into my STM32MP157C-DK2 board, it gets out of space. Moreover in the board I only have the modules related with this kernel version (5.10.61)The initial configuration was multi_v7_defconfig and I applied all fragments specified (fragment-03-systemd.config, fragment-04-modules.config and fragment-05-signature.config). I do not know if any of these fragments is building a huge amount of modules (that I think I do not really need), or if there is any kind of problem with the partitions (see attached picture), or any other thing.I have seen that there is an step before copying the modules in the board that is used to strip the kernel modules in order to reduce its size, this is:find . -name "*.ko" | xargs $STRIP --strip-debug --remove-section=.comment --remove-section=.note --preserve-dates Nevertheless, when executing the above command, it fai

I desperatly try to configure these applications in order to display 2 buttons on the TFT LCD of my STM32F429I-DISC1 board. Precisely, I'd like to know:If using STMCubeMX is required? How to transfer the TouchGFX layout code into STCubeIDE (I can do an import but then the .ioc file is missing)?I almost succeded by renaming the TouchGFX files before importing them into CubeMX (I replaced the default board name with my project's name). Then I compiled with no errors but once I added two GPIO, the new compilation yields 5 errors (mostly related to TouchGFX HAL).What is wrong with all that??? Is there a workflow of some kind to solve my issue?I appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

Hi Project built with TouchGFX not initializing heap properly:When attempting to allocate a variable to the heap the variable is allocated at 0x00000000 instead of the heap location. This doesn't happen with projects built using cube. Does anyone have any ideas. The screen shots are attached as my browser kept crashing when I tried to embed the images.Project Built with CubeMXProject built with touchGF, but with all TouchGFX code commented out and the MPU initialisation commented out as well:I have asked this question on the support page. The two projects are attached.Best regardsRob

If I set the Counter Period (AutoReload Register) to max 0xFFFF and the TIM capture/compare register to 0xFFFF too, I cannot get a full width output, I still get one tick on output. Is that expected?

For example, sending a 1.5second on-time pulse?  It would also be helpful to be able to set a delay before the pulse starts as well as the 'repetition' of the pulse. The TIMER1 does have the required features but not sure how to scale down the frequency to under 1Hz. Should I chain timers as master/slave to obtain the low frequency? Thanks!

I am not able to get pin PE9 to toggle using timer1 and Channel1 as a PWM Output. I have tried different configurations for the timer with no success. The timer does run as expected, and all parameters and interrupts work. The only issue is pin PE9 does not toggle or enable at any time while the timer runs.UPDATE: I connected the pin to one of the dev board's leds and it does turn on as expected. For some reason, when I use the following to inspect the pin status, it always shows as '0' or off. Does anyone know why the led turns on but the GPIOE would show '0' when I stop the debugger to inspect the register? Here is my config for TIM1: TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0}; TIM_BreakDeadTimeConfigTypeDef sBreakDeadTimeConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END TIM1_Init 1 */ htim1.Instance = TIM1; htim1.Init.Prescaler =

I have a STM32F7xx MCU connected to a Winbond W25Q01. The datasheet says the chip will run up to 133MHz. If I set the MCU clock to 108MHz and the quadspi clock prescaler to 0 so that they are running at the same frequency, the chip initializes and communicates no problem. However, if I set the MCU to 216 MHz and the quadspi clock prescaler to 1 so that it is running at 108MHz it won't initialize and I can't communicate with it.If I set the MCU to 216MHz and the prescaler to 2 so the quadspi clock is running at 72MHz it initializes no problem.Summary TableMCU Freq [MHz] | Prescaler | Quadspi Freq [MHz] | Result108 | 0 | 108 | pass216 | 1 | 108 | FAIL197 | 1 | 98.5 | FAIL155.5 | 1 | 77.75 | pass108 | 1 | 54 | pass216 | 2 | 72 | passI believe that the failure mode is that when I query the status register I get a corrupted response and the code hangs thinking that the chip is busy when in reality it is not. But I can't explain why when the MCU and qspi are running at the same speed (108MHz)

Hi guys,I'm working in a project with a STM32L412RBT6. Due to a misunderstanding, the company i'm working with, bought a big stock of STM32L412RBT6P. I just discovered the meaning of that final "P" in the code and i'm trying to figure out how big the problem is.I looked at the application notes and I noticed that there are two pins in which I have to connect an external 1.2V reference (in my project they are not connected GPIOs). I could not understand if it is mandatory to connect this external reference in case I do not use any low power mode (we do not need them in this project).Anybody have suggestions to help me ?Thank you,Riccardo

I tried to connect the STLink to the STM32G030K6T6 by connecting SWCLK SWDIO VDD and GND pins, but the STM32CubeProgrammer can't detect the MCU.I also tried to check with the logic analizer the pins and there is only a little signal from the stlink but no response from the MCU.I think the problem could be that the SWCLK and BOOT0 are in the same pin and this is pulled down internally. So how can I connect and program the STM32?Thank you so much

HelloSTM32CubeWB has two demo applicationsBLE_Peripheral_LiteCDC_Standalone (USB)It seems impossible to run the BLE with USB. I added the CDC part to the BLE app and they don't work together (if you disable one, the other works fine). What is the conflict here? The USB demo is not useful if it breaks the wireless part of a wireless MCU.Thanks

Hey!Which function should I use to check if the TouchGFX engine is in "drawing next frame to RAM" state and which one to check if "next frame is ready in RAM"?I got following setup on mikromedia Plus board: STM32F407 -> SSD1963 -> TFT 480x272. TFT connected to SSD1963 with RGB interface and MCU connected to SSD1963 with custom parallel 8080 interface (implemented as simple bit-bang). I was able to set up TouchGFX with "partial frame buffer strategy", everything's working. But the narrow part is the MCU interface, so the slow filling of the display is visible with naked eye when I change image on the whole display. Now, my goal is to implement double buffering, but on SSD1963 side.It has 1215Kb avaliable for frame buffer. My TFT requires 480x272x2 byte = 255 Kb, so it is possible to arrange two framebuffers within SSD1963.So what I'm gonna do is to modify existing project to be able to "swap" those buffers when frames are ready to transfer to display to avoid tearing and slow

Dear Sir/Madam, I am currently working on the LSM6DSM IMU for a visual-inertial SLAM use and I have some questions about its features. Here is my IMU settings : Gyro : ODR = 208Hz FS = 2000dps High Pass 260mHz Acc : ODR = 208HzFS = 2g Analog BW 400Hz Low noise Low Pass ODR/100- Do you have the Noise Density and Random Walk values for the gyroscope and the accelerometer and also their different bias ? - Do you know if these data are unique for each IMU or all the LSDM6DSM have all the same reference values ? - Should we pre-process our raw IMU data before using them ? Thank you in advance.

STM32F746-DiscoCapacitive Touch Panel FT5336STM32CubeIDE, Windows 10CMSIS-onlyI'm developing my first I2C driver for STM32F746 using CMSIS-only, and I've decided it would be great to test my I2C skills on built-in capacitive touch panel FT5336. I used ST-provided ft5336.c/.h to get register addresses (since FT5336 datasheet actually doesn't have them). So obviously my first thing to try is to read Chip ID register.Initially, I've developed DMA driver for it (yeah I can do DMA but still haven't tried I2C), but as I was running into an issue, I made a step back and went full blocking way. Interestingly enough, the results were identical. What I do:I write slave address in write mode (ACK), followed by ID register (NACK).Then I give it a little pause (~30us, well above datasheet ~10us for start setup; tried different). Then I write slave address in read mode (ACK), and receive 0x00 (NACK).I've carefully examined my signal with oscilloscope and logic analyzer, made sure timings are correct a

Hi everyone, @Kevin HUBER I am using stm32mp157f-dk2 with ecosystem 3.1, with weston support.I connected the HDMI display to the development kit, reset the device, but nothing displayed. After checking, modetest show that the HDMI are properly connected, and the test commandmodetest -M stm -s 33:320x1480-60.08 -vrun successfully. But still, nothing displayed.Anyone knows how to fix this?Actually, I have report this issue before, inhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001L0jviSAB/failed-to-start-loadsave-screen-backlightBut I didn't solve that last time.In addition, does anyone know to how remove the GTK demo from yocto/disable it from application?I tried to remove packagegroup-st-demo from CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL variable in image.bb, but it doesn't work. For now I can only disable it by stopping the entire weston service, which is definitely not what I want.Regards, Leung

I am getting acceleration and gyro data using LSM6DSO32 chip. But I want to filter this data with internal filters, but I cannot activate the high pass filter of the accelerometer. In the code below, I want to send F4 (11110100) data to the CTRL8_XL control register, ie 0x17 register address specified in the datasheet, to set the cutoff frequency as ODR/800, but corruption occurs in the accelerometer data. How can I solve this?

Greetings,I am trying to read the color value of a pixel in hex form. The motivation behind this is the function available in simulator shortcuts as it states,F1Enables/disables the display of pointer coordinates as well as RGB color of the pixel at that coordinate (in hexadecimal).Link: https://support.touchgfx.com/4.19/docs/development/ui-development/working-with-touchgfx/simulatorI have tried many ways but got stuck at retrieving the value tft_framebuffer24 present in HALSDL2.cpp. Can anybody guide me on how can we retrieve the pixel color values at specific coordinates of my screen?

Hello,I want to control a timer period with a variable. The variable value is correct because I monitored it in the watch window. But the variable was not working in the timer settings. Hi, my name is Vincenzo,I'm studying the MotionFX library and I want to understand In what order the quaternion is given by the MotionFX library. Reading the manual, I know that the MotionFX can compute:rotation, quaternions, gravity and linear acceleration data.Regarding the quaternion, I don't understand how the elements are ordered. It is an array with 4 elements: qw,qx,qy,qz (q0,q1,q2,q3). I suppose that it is the order, but can someone confirm it? Thank you in advance!
