I am a bit confused about the number of connections the BlueNRG-LP can handle. The device is advertised with 128 concurrent links.I visited a ST talk where the discussed number was about 50 Connections.I used the BlueNRG-LP 1.0.0 Radio Wizard that limits the 'Links Number' to 24.I used the BlueNRG GUI 4.0.0 that limits the 'Num of Links' for the GUI and Python API to 8.What is meant by concurrent links?Concurrent 1 = Connections can be open simultaneous, but conflicting if the radio has to handle multiple packet at one moment. (retransmission)Concurrent 2 = Fully independed channels, working line #n transceiversConcurrent 3 = The device can store information about this number of connections. But the number of devices with an open connection may be much smaller.Of course the number of supported links will vary depending on the circumstances. But could you help me to get a little clearer about this?My BlueNRG-LP in central role has to bond and connect to 50 peripheral devices. These 5

Hello, Did anyone attempt to use the motor profiler toolkit with these boards : STM32 IHM07M1 & STM32F401RE? I configured mine following the "motor control mode" from ST website and the program starts but then nothing happens and the following error message appears : "The measurement is taking too time".On the other hand if I use the motor pilot tool with some approximate motor parameters, everything woks fine, so I think the problem comes from the indications on how to configure the board in the beginning for the profiler.Any help would be largely appreciated! Thanks a lot in advanceFlorian

I have two gpios enabled one as an output another as a interrupt input. PA11 and PI11 respectively. There are two pin defines generated by CUBEMX, for argument call them MYPINA_Pin and MYPINB_Pin respectively. For the interrupt handler CUBE generates code like this...void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ /* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */ HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler(MYPINA_Pin); }While this results in correct machine code because MYPINA_Pin == MYPINB_Pin, it is quite alarming and reduces my confidence in CUBEMX. Not to mention confusing. If I want to track down some code and I search for MYPINB_Pin I will not find the interrupt handler.Has anyone else seen this and/or reported it to ST?

When i try to debug my eval board, I get an error:Error in final launch sequence:Device debug scriptThe code uploads and runs correctly, only the debugging function does not work.Serial Wire is activated in CubeMX.The IDE open a new tab "startup_stm32f746zgtx.s" and the cursor is on line "ldr  sp, =_estack     /* set stack pointer */"

Hello all,I am trying to capture the rising and falling edge of a timer by calling HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback function. I set timer1 as pwm generation and timer2 as input capture direct mode. I am following an example code online. I was able to trigger HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback on my personal PC (checked by triggering LED2 and monitoring the value of variables on live expression), but it doesn't work on my work laptop. Is there any configuration or setup I need to check or follow to trigger HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback? Thank you!/* Private user code ---------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */   #define TIMCLOCK 16000000 #define PRESCALAR 16000   uint32_t IC_Val1 = 0; uint32_t IC_Val2 = 0; uint32_t Difference = 0; int Is_First_Captured = 0; uint32_t usWidth = 0;   void HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) {   if (htim->Channel == HAL_TIM_ACTIVE_CHANNEL_1) // if the interrupt source is channel1 { if (Is_Fir

I was wondering if its possible to directly flash the STM32MP1 using UART using the STM32CubeProgrammer ? if so are there any tutorials that can be followed ?

I created a project for an STM32H753 MCU and have added FreeRTOS via CubeMX called from CubeIDE. CubeMX generates the following code in main.c: /* Init scheduler */ osKernelInitialize(); /* Call init function for freertos objects (in freertos.c) */ MX_FREERTOS_Init(); /* Start scheduler */ osKernelStart();Based on some research, I assume that my new thread declarations need to occur between those two sections like this: /* Init scheduler */ osKernelInitialize(); /* Call init function for freertos objects (in freertos.c) */ MX_FREERTOS_Init(); osThreadNew( &thread_mainLoop, NULL, NULL ); osThreadNew( &thread_debugPort, NULL, &thread1_attr ); /* Start scheduler */ osKernelStart();Unfortunately, every time I make a change via CubeMX, my declarations are deleted. I've tried wrapping my code with USER CODE BEGIN/END 2.5 and USER CODE BEGIN/END RTOS_THREADS (copied from a project created using TouchGFX Designer

The datasheet shows VL53L0X has 25 degrees of FOV. However each VL53L0X shows slightly different FOV.For example, one VL53L0X seems to be 24 degrees, another VL53L0X seems to be 26 degrees. What is the FOV range of VL53L0X?If possible, I hope to maximize the FOV of VL53L0X. Let me know how to maximize the FOV of VL53L0X by Software.

If the name (filename) of module has more than one dot ( "." ) the STM32CubeProgrammer can list it in the external loder (EL) selection, but when STM32CubeProgrammer tries to use the module it fails (it generates an error). For example this EL name generates the error: EN25Q40_MT447R2_2.0.0.stldrthe same file renamed into EN25Q40_MT447R2.stldr (removing all dots) works.

Hi all,I'm trying to put some TouchGFX data (images, text, ...) in an external flash (S25FL128L) on a custom board with STM32H7B0VB mcu. I'm using the octo-spi peripheral as quad-spi.So, I followed the guide to make an external loader and I did it. It seems to work properly: if I load the .stdlr file in the STM32CubeProgrammer I can read, write, erase sector and mass erase the external flash. Also, if I try to debug (STM32CubeIDE) a project using the loader without putting elements into external flash all works well and I can see all the memory locations. The ploblem occur whe I try to put somenthing inside the external flash. I do that in the linker script with TouchGFX sections: IntFlashSection and TextFlashSection. See the script below:/* Entry Point */ ENTRY(Reset_Handler) /* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = 0x20020000; /* end of RAM */ /* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200 ; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Sta

The latest version of STM32CubeMx 6.6.1 organizes the parameters of the FDCAN differently from the previous version and shows useful information on Time Quantum, Time for one Bit and Baud Rate. But I think the displayed parameters are wrong, as shown in the attached image. In my case the micro used is STM32G473VBTx

Dear Sir,Generally speaking, the coordinates of the g-sensor on the PCB board have an angular deviation from the world coordinates. Assume that the coordinates of the g-sensor are (Xs, Ys, Zs) and the world coordinates (X, Y, Z) have alpha, beta and Theta angle relationship. If we have a g-sensor orientation as following,How to convert (Xs, Ys, Zs) to (X, Y, Z)?It is confused because when Xs, Ys point to gravity direction, it is positive, while Zs point to gravity direction is negative.Could we have a rule to follow? Thanks.

I have an accelerometer located in an arbitrary position on a car. As the accelerometer already has a coordinate system by default, I want to find some method that allows transforming the data I have from the sensor and aligning them with the coordinate system of the car. When the vehicle is stationary on a flat, horizontal surface, use the three components relative to g-sensor, Gxs, Gys and Gzs(Gxs is the g value obtained on g-sensor Xs, the Gys and Gzs are g component relative to g-sensor Ys and Zs) and make rotation can rotate the Gzs aligned with gravity direction and Xs-Ys plane parallel to with horizontial. But how to align the Xs to vehicle X-axis?In theory, the euler angle can be obtained by rotating the coordinate axis of the G-sensor three times, and use this conversion matrix for conversion. But In practice this is not feasible. Is there any simple way to aligning the coordinate systems of accelerometer and vehicle? Thanks.

Hello,I'm trying to send data and retrieve the output from my stm32f4-DISCO. I'm using a python based code and specifically stm_ai_runner. The code is rather simpler but I can't access the board because even runner.summary() doesn't work. My board is flashed with the network :And this is what my code looks like :And the terminal : I thank you in advance,Numa

I saw multiple resources on different conversions between chips, such as AN5094 (between F3 and G4), but I can't find anything for G4 to F7.Is there a step by step process to follow that has a program do most of the work, something similar to MCSDK, but with an already generated project?

Hello, do you have any application on the use of variables:execution rateCut-off frequency

I have acquired both boards. Here is the link to the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSIYaWOmzS4

The FreeRTOS debugging tools (as present in Atollic, NXP MCUxpresso, etc) seem to be missing in STM32CubeIDE. These include task view with stack use, semaphore/mutex view, queue view. Those of us using FreeRTOS need these! What's going on? Are available as a plug-in somewhere? Thanks!Best Regards, Dave

I am integrating the cube programmer API into some end of line production test. I've been able to use the API for loading firmware images, and I can prepare a board for OTP programming by loading TFA and uboot, but I can find no API support for programming OTP on the MP1 parts, am I missing something or is this absent from the API? How is this done within the programmer CLI tool? (i.e. how to the OTP commands function, what API calls do they use so I can replicate some of this functionality)I can't easily use the existing programmer CLI to automate since I'm working with 6 boards still on a panel prior to breakout, and the CLI (and API) doesn't handle multiple connected instances well when repeatedly executing programmer CLI commands as the USB device instance seems to change and I need to be sure which boards I'm programming unique values to (e.g. MAC address / serial number etc)It would be really useful if ST followed NXPs lead and open sourced their programming tools so we could sor

Hello Community,I would like to receive and transmit the data via FDCAN.However, I cannot find the real pin on the STM32h745/50 Discovery Board. The Microcontroller pin of FDCAN1_RX is PH14, PA11, PD0, PB8, and PI9.The Microcontroller pin of FDCAN1_TX is PB9, PA12, PD1, and PH13. However, the pins cannot be found on the STM32h745/50 Discovery Board. So, how could I use the FDCAN1,2 pin and function...?

I implement the eeprom emulation library for the STM32F423 controller and was wondering if the variables are 16 bits can I use the virtual addresses like this: uint16_t VirtAddVarTab[NB_OF_VAR] = {0x1, 0x2, 0x3};Or do I need to keep space like 0x1, 0x3, 0x5 because the variables are 2 bytes wide?

I am trying to use the HAL_PWREx_EnableSRAMRetention() function described in UM2319 Description of STM32G0 HAL and low-layer driversI am using STM32CubeIDE, with my project configured as a STM32 project (with .ioc file for managing software packs, etc)Problems I am having:UM2319 - Description of STM32G0 HAL and low-layer drivers doesn't seem to contain any information on how to actually download and access the extension driver that it is documenting.STM32CubeG0 MCU Firmware Package does not contain the PWREx driver (wrong)I cannot find PWREx driver listed in the STM32CubeIDE Embedded Software Packages Manager (see screenshot below)Google searches on this topic have been frustrating - I just get a whole bunch of UMXXXX pdf user manuals for different STM32 MCUs --> I need the driver!Help please?
