Hello. I have a simple project, but I have a hard time doing my project in STM. The difficulty of the project is that all processes have to work at certain sampling times. As you can see in the picture, I have a robot that is controlled by 2 channel biological signal (EOG). Robot movements are measured with two potentiometers. So what do I want? 1- I want to transfer 2 channels of EOG data controlling the robot and 2 pot data that allows us to measure the movement of the robot to the SD card or PC via serial port (1KHZ sampling, the transfer does not have to be real time).2- According to the EOG data read, there is a linear function that provides the movement of the robot's joint (m*x+n). The PWM value (min. 10 KHz PWM) produced with this function will be transferred to the robot actuator via the driver.In the first attempt, while recording the data to the SD card with DMA at 1KHz sampling time, I could not generate PWM signals from that data. Therefore, I performed the recording

Hi Everyone,I am working on a project with TouchGFX. I'm working with STM32H743X MCU. Project have MT48LC4M32B model external SDRAM. I was have an issue with screen that corrupted image on it. You can see below some example at picture.In expectation, the back color of the screen needs to be grey and the text need to be readable.So I was start my own investigation on this issue. Right now, I have suspicion on external ram. I am try to use write a sngle word to external ram and see on debug mod. You can see two picture below for this test. You can see the ram status on right side of 1st picture.  On second picture I just run code for 1 write operation. In my expextation fisrt 4 byte of ram will change to DD CC AA FF, the rest of it will be same. But you can see the ram status after fist write operation in next picture. Ram write same word for 4 time. I am using ram BSP from ST examples. You can see installation of FMC at cube mx in below pictures. I need all of suggestions

I am using STM32F411 and SDK v1.27.1I am trying to trigger an DMA xfer with an external signal source using the TIMER1 External Trigger, without the need to execute any interrupts in the CPU to utilize the CPU time, as I have two signals one every 2ms and one every 150us that come from to different on board ICs, and when each signal is executed an SPI/UART xfer must be done to retrieve data in real-time.I have used the code generator from the CubeIDE to generate Initialization code, an started the transfer in the main functionHere is the pinout view of the projectTimer1 Conig. USART1 Config. Code Snippets#define BUFF_SIZE 8 uint32_t dma_TxBuffer[BUFF_SIZE] = {0}; uint32_t dma_RxBuffer[BUFF_SIZE] = {0};   HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim1);   /* Clear the TC flag in the SR register by writing 0 to it */ __HAL_UART_CLEAR_FLAG(&huart2, UART_FLAG_TC);   /* Enable the DMA transfer for transmit request by setting the DMAT bit in the UART CR3 register */ ATOMIC_SET_B

Hello,I am working with STM32H743BI and trying to write then read a QSPI FLASH "mt25qu01gbbb". I first use the STM32 software example "QSPI_ReadWrite_IT" (adapted with cube configuration) to start discovering QSPI on my hardware. Then I made a small evolution that consist on write incremented values on more than one page.First page seems to be write correctly :But something wrong is appening for second page :Did anyone encoutered this problem ? Thank in advance for your helpPlease find attached my project.

Hello,if I call the read function it sends a write on the I2C. What am I doing wrong?Thanks a lot, Best Regards, Seppeluint8_t i2cData[8U]; uint8_t i2cDevAdr = (0x53 << 1U);   HAL_I2C_Mem_Read (&hi2c2, i2cDevAdr , 0x00, 1U, i2cData, 1U, HAL_MAX_DELAY);

Hi ! I'm currently working on a STM32H747-DISCO with TouchGFX to test and discover this graphic library. My touchGFX app is only 2 screens with a button to go screen 1 or 2 with a slide animation.But when I'm implementing an other task in FreeRTOS with a higher priority, TouchGFX freeze at some point when i'm changing screen. My goal was to see when the animations of the library would lag with an other task running on the M7. Do you have any idea why the screen freeze ? It may be linked to the slide animation of screen.

Hi there,I have a custom CPU: STM32MP153CAB Rev.Z board and setting up a redundant bootloader setup on eMMC. In order for that to work I should be able to switch between boot partitions.This is how I'm trying to do that in u-boot:STM32MP> mmc partconf 1 EXT_CSD[179], PARTITION_CONFIG: BOOT_ACK: 0x1 BOOT_PARTITION_ENABLE: 0x1 PARTITION_ACCESS: 0x0Then I've got expected output from TF-A:INFO: Using EMMC INFO: Instance 2 INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1When I switch to a second partition though:STM32MP> mmc partconf 1 1 2 0 STM32MP> mmc partconf 1 EXT_CSD[179], PARTITION_CONFIG: BOOT_ACK: 0x1 BOOT_PARTITION_ENABLE: 0x2 PARTITION_ACCESS: 0x0I still get the same message in TF-A:INFO: Using EMMC INFO: Instance 2 INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1What am I missing here? Is boot_context populated correctly by TF-A? Is second boot partition used at all by ROM?

Hi, Is it possible to use custom fonts other than True type fonts listed in Touchgfx Designer. Thanks

Currently it seems that text can only be rotated by a multiple of 90 °. In a current project, however, I have a customer requirement that text must be rotated by any angle, since the display must be mounted rotated. What would be the best approach to implement this in the current circumstances?

Hello. I want to read multi-channel analog data (four channels) with my Nucleo-F072RB. I previously worked with Nucleo F411RE and I did not have any problems. But with F072RB, I'm so confused. When I open my board on CubeMX, I can select multi ADC1 channels (for example IN1, IN2..) but in ADC configuration I can not see "Number of Conversions" or "Rank" properties. So I can not configure the multichannel ADC. I thought maybe this board had only one configuration and so it had not allowed configuring ADCs...But when I coded two potentiometer ADC reading codes, I saw it was not working. Can you help me with this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi All,I am starting work on USB RNDIS support for STM32U5, and completely new to this.I am looking for example/documentation on USB RNIDS support on STM32U5.Can anyone please help here ?

I have a STM8/128-MCKIT motor control starter kit. I am following hardware configuration specifications, but I keep getting the 'Under Voltage' fault. I am using the default BLDC motor and board configuration with an external power supply. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance. If there is any extra documentation for this device, that would be great. A video showing the setup process would also be great.

Hi,I am working on linux kernel v4.19 to bring up the cr95hf via SPI, there is a existing driver called st95hf, I enabled it, and it can be probed. can get ECHO back. when I used nfc neard to test the driver, it always gives errors like below:[ 501.027260] spi_geni 988000.spi: Zero length transfer[ 501.027307] st95hf spi1.0: SPI transfer failed: -22[ 501.027393] spi_master spi1: failed to transfer one message from queue[ 501.027436] st95hf spi1.0: spi_recv_resp, data read error = -22[ 501.027471] st95hf spi1.0: spi error from st95hf_spi_recv_response(), err = 0xffffffea[ 501.027506] nfc nfc0: protocol sel send field off, err = 0xffffffea[ 501.036499] digital: digital_in_configure_hw: in_configure_hw failed: -22[ 501.037971] spi_geni 988000.spi: Zero length transfer[ 501.038042] st95hf spi1.0: SPI transfer failed: -22[ 501.038181] spi_master spi1: failed to transfer one message from queue[ 501.038246] st95hf spi1.0: spi_recv_resp, d

Hi every oneI'm developing a project on STM32F746BGT6 custom board which will use USB port for store Data on USB key AND firmware updating purposes (In the Field updating), cause I am newbie on USB things, I am googling about firmware update through USB key but there is dozens of articles and videos about updating via SD card.My questions is: Is updating firmware through SD card and USB key the same as each other, In other words can I tailored SD card implementations to USB Key for updating via Flash drive?Based on my researches, It has to be a Bootloader for make the update possible in the Application, But my MCU suffers for lack of Flash space, Is it possible to put the bootloader (or maybe the part of main application) in the external flash section (with some linker file modifying)? (I am implementing QSPI protocol for External flash)I am completely out of ballpark in USB implementation, So is there some articles or examples for this purposes to help me better understanding of USB F

Hi ~I've designed custom board of STM32MP157C. 1. I created my own device tree using CubeMX refer to the below article.   https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_board_device_tree2. I also created own machine refer to the below article.   https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machine3. st-image-weston build was successful.4. so now, I want to modify the linux kernel device tree.   and I finded article below ..  https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Distribution_Package  Run "devtool modify virtual/kernel" command.   workspace directory was created successfully.   but I can not find my device tree in path below.  ./workspace/sources/linux-stm32mp/arch/arm/boot/dts My device tree files placed at "layers/meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp-addons/mx".How to solve it ?Thanks.

Hi !I'm using the stm32l452RE mcu and I use the shutdown mode. I also use the watchdog (IWDG) to reset the system if an error occurs. This IWDG is set to 4s. When I go in shutdown mode, accordly to the docs, IWDG should be off because it is clocked with LSI which is off.Despite this, the device resets exactly after 4s.If I change IWDG to 10s, device reset after 10s. That's why I'm sure IWDG continues working even when my device goes in shutdown mode.The only thing I'm not sure is if I really enter in shutdown. Here below is what I do to enter in shutdown mode :HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1_LOW); HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1); /* Clear flag */ __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_SB); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUF1); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUFI); HAL_PWREx_EnterSHUTDOWNMode();For the IWDG set up, here is what I do :void MX_IWDG_Init(void) { hiwdg.Instance = IWDG; hiwdg.Init.Prescaler = IWDG_PRESCALER_32; hiwdg.Init.Window = IWDG_WINDOW_DISABLE; hiwdg.Init

Hello - just trying to make a sanity connection to AWS IOT, unsecured port 1883, but it fails with a very non-specific error like not connected. I changed the demo app to use unsecure port 1883 and it connects and successfully sends the MQTT messages to the mosquito as well as the hivemq test server. But when I plug in my AWS IOT endpoint for MQTT_BROKER_NAME it does not connect. Any hints or tips or tricks?On a side note, when I undefined the secure connect variables (NX_SECURE_ENABLE and NXD_MQTT_REQUIRE_TLS) there was a bit of work to do to make it compile (and thereby connect in unsecure mode). It was not a big deal, but it would be nice if it was already done for the sake of sanity for the MQTT / IOT newbie.

Here is the code: if (constx8 == 0) // calculate constants one time. { uint64_t num = (((uint64_t)(((uint32_t)(R21 + R22))) * VREFINT_CAL_VREF) * (*VREFINT_CAL_ADDR)) << 8; uint32_t denom = (uint32_t)4095 * R22; constx8 = (uint32_t)(num / denom); // 8 times actual value. if (isDebug(DEBUG_encoder_voltage_calc)) { char buf[150]; sprintf(buf,"Const calc: num: %llu, denom: %lu, constx8: %lu\r\n", num, denom, constx8); print_debug_str(buf); } }and it prints "Const calc: num: lu, denom: 2454134784, constx8: 2646"

I was using the preloaded demo for the STM32L476 Discovery board and everything was working, and then I followed the steps on the Getting started with STM32CubeL4 MCU Package user manual to try and run the first example. I followed the steps and once I uploaded the code nothing happened I pressed the reset button on the board, but then the LCD screen turned off and the preloaded demo is gone. The LD1 and LD2 still come on when the USB ST-Link is plugged in but nothing else happens and when I try and upload more code to it the LD1 flashed red and green but nothing else happens. I'm not sure if I accidentally got the board in standby mode or shutdown mode or if there is something else. Is there any way to just reset the whole board back to its original form? Thank you!

I bought a second-hand stm32f429 discovery board, here is its image. I found 4 schematics on ST website (MB1075b~MB1075e), but I can't confirm which one corresponding to my discovery board. Accroding to the information shown on board , my board is DISC1. But on ST website DISC1's PCB is blue while mine is green, I'm not sure about my board's version.

Hi,I got a question about the design of the antenna for NFC. On my PCB, I'm copying the antenna that there is on the ANT7-T-M24SR. But the difference is that my PCB is 1.6mm of thickness (instead of 0.8mm of the dev board).Moreover, I've read (I think it was on that forum) that the value of L decrease of 0.4µH with a PCB of 1.6mm of thickness compared with a PCB of 0.8mm of thickness.So, how can I be sure that my antenna is well designed ?For now, I've added a capacitor in parallel of AC0/AC1 to adjust Ctuning if needed.I've found some information on edesign to design one layer antenna but nothing about two layers antenna. Where can I find some documentation about that ?Thank you in advance;Fabrice
